What others are saying about Maui

Hana Kai

Beautiful oceanfront condo with fantastic view!

Lovely, comfortable condo has everything you need...fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, beach towels, ice chests, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, etc...and a wonderful view of the sunset every night! (We couldn't get the TV in the living room to work...but we didn't care. We listened to the wonderful Hawaiian Cd's instead.) The condo is in a good location with a nice beach on either side of the complex. Duke's Restaurant is just 2 doors down. Parking at Whaler's Village (Kaanapali Beach) is $30.00! But if you eat at one of their restaurants, they will validate parking. A perfect vacation condo!

Kaleialoha Resort

Non-exagerated Beauty and comfort

With this being our first time to the Hawaiian Islands and Maui specifically, we went with some research, but also with doubt and skepticism. Our positive attitude, faith, great descriptions and accurate pictures ahead of time paved the way for a remarkable visit. The area of Napili was (and is) absolutely perfect for us. Low -key, non-'resort-y' with walking distance to a wonderful general store with most anything you could need and, of course, Snorkle Bobs for the fins, masks and (eventually) wet-suit tops (highly recommended for longer stays in the water). The weather high 60's for the lows and 83 for the high with 'friendly' winds. This and the area above Napili proved to be our favorite even after doing the Hana Highway and Southwest down to Big & Little Beach. A day trip to Haleakala was great, as was venturing upcountry to Paia and Makawao (our favorite upcountry town). As we are not the 'large resort, you must pamper me, mall shopping' types, where we stayed proved critical to one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had. In fact, life changing. The condo was everything we'd hoped for and more. The view was intense and welcoming, parking was easy, finding the place was easy and getting around was equally easy. The condo was amazingly furnished and outfitted with kitchen utensils and pots, pans and dishes. Cooking and preparing (mostly breakfasts) was easy for us. Cleaning supplies helped too. The beach chairs and 'noodles' and beach towels were great to have. Leaving was the hardest part.

Great Vacation Rental Studio!

We loved staying at this studio! The decor was very up to date and a gift basket was waiting for us when we arrived. When you walk out on the patio you can see the ocean. Just a few steps away is beautiful Napili beach. We walked to breakfast to the Seahouse and the Gazebo restaurants and we liked that we were farther away from the big resort areas. Very nice place but a little loud since you are on the bottom floor so you can hear your neighbors walking above you. A little noise is worth it for the really good price of this place! Such a deal!! We felt blessed and hope to visit again someday!

amazing, great place to spend our honeymoon

We decided to stay here for our honeymoon. All i wanted to do all day is sit on the balcony and watch the sea turtles all day. What a nice condo and awesome place to stay. We will def choose this condo next time we come. Staff and residents were all very friendly and of course maui was amazing. It has ac but we didn't turn it on at all, nice breeze at night makes it perfect sleeping weather. The room exceeded our expectations and also came equipped with everything needed to find our way around maui and also had a road to hana cd. Made our time perfect!

Lahaina Roads Condos

A great condo with an unbeatable view

We had a fantastic time at the Resort! The view was beautiful, the location was nice, and the Napili Bay was the most serene beach. The condo was perfect for what we needed; it supplied everything to make our stay enjoyable, although we couldn't find the ironing board. The best part was being able to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean and open up all the windows to the beautiful view of the bay. The only odd thing in the condo is the lack of bathroom privacy since the walls don't extend to the ceiling. Otherwise, this place was perfect. We would definitely come back here again!

Maui Kai Beach Resort

Wonderful

the condo is great, the location the best on Napili and all of Maui... the new shower and kitchen are super... the only thing I can mention as needed is a cleaning of the green carpet, it did not look or feel fresh.

You will fall in love with this condo!

This was our 3rd time satying at unit 211 and it is always the best experience. The view from the deck is amazing and being 30 seconds away from the beach is so nice. You will love this Condo.

Best vacation and location!!

Location location location!! The condo was great! Beds were very comfortable. The beach access was great. It is like having your own personal beach area. We saw sea turtles and swam with them daily. The tropical fish were a few steps into the water!! Our family claims this was the best vacation ever! We plan on returning to stay again! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Napili Bay Resort

Right on the front steps of a very beautiful beach

Napili Bay was a beautiful beach with excellent snorkeling - that's why we chose this location. No dissapointments with the snorkeling with some good coral heads and lots of fish and turtles. Prepare for a busy beach with lots of people... not a secluded beach by any means. It's surrounded by condos. This condo was in excellent condition, clean, comfortable bed with all the amenities you could ever need. Sunsets were stunning. Apparently a good breakfast spot 100 yards to our left on the water, but we did most eating at the condo. We did eat at the restaurant at the north end of the beach and had an excellent late lunch with several delicious appetizers and drinks at happy hour prices.

Paradise found ...

From the pre-arrival organization, including directions from the airport, to arriving at the clean, comfortably furnished, ocean-front condo, complete with open air breezes and the sweet welcome gift, staying at this condo was paradise. The location couldn't be better! The view from the balcony is phenomenal ... the beach was perfect ... the quick beach walk to the Gazebo for breakfast or the Sea House for happy hour a huge bonus! Will return in the future!

—Suzan (04/24/2012)

Wonderful Getaway

We came back to Napili Bay to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (we were married at the Napili Kai Resort) and really enjoyed the condo. The upgraded decor, kitchen, bath, etc., is very nice and of course you can't beat the view from the lanai. We hope to return in December.

Amazing stay

Had a fabulous honeymoon stay at #209 -- there was a gift basket waiting upon our arrival to welcome us, and the condo was decorated in a cozy and inviting style. We loved it! There is nothing like watching sea turtles play from your balcony, or a West Maui sunrise...miss it already and plan to return!

—LL (04/17/2012)

Perfect place to celebrate my 60th Birthday!

We recently stayed in Unit 207 and enjoyed every minute! From the awesome sunsets viewed right from the Lanai to the visiting Monk Seal on the beach. The condo was very comfortable and well outfitted for our stay. Very convenient to shopping and local restaurants only wish we had brought our golf clubs! I would highly recommend this Resort for anyone looking for relaxing vacation.

—Doug and Jo (04/15/2012)

Excellent location.

The condo is located in a great part of Maui The condo provided all that was needed for a great vacation.

—SS (04/11/2012)

100 ft. from the water!

We recently stayed in condo 109 and it was absolutely perfect for us! The beach was literally steps from our door. We went to sleep by the sounds of the ocean... Our visit was in March, so we saw many whales breach in the distance right from our balcony. Everyday we saw turtles. The unit was exactly what we expected, a little outdated in terms of decor, but kept up very nicely and all around a great space for two people. The kitchen was a definite bonus, which had everything we'd need to be comfortable. There were a few ants here and there, but being on an island, that goes hand in hand. The beach amenities were fantastic and were used often. We did not have items like shampoo in the unit, but it was not a big deal as the Napili Market was right around the corner. Location wise - very convenient and easy to venture around. There's a great General Store just around the bend (easy walking distance) that has great organic fruits and vegetables daily. The Gazebo is next door (to the condos) and has the best breakfast. There is nice variety of places to eat within a few minutes of the condo, Maui Brewing Co is about 5 mins away and has great beer/food and if looking for more of a variety to choose from - Lahaina is just a few minutes away. Overall, we had the best time! Chuck and his team were a pleasure to communicate with. We will highly recommend!

—hscv (03/27/2012)

Awesome! We will definately be back!

Condo 105 was wonderful! Great location. Beautiful view of the ocean. It would take us 3 hours to have our breakfast on the lanai because we were watching all the whales & sea turtles. The condo met all our expectations & more. Very clean. The free parking was an added bonus & the WiFi was a great way to stay connected to family back home. We hope to return soon. Mahalo! Cheri

Wonderful stay at Napili Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Napili Bay Resort #209. This was our second stay at Napili Bay, and 209 is just a perfect unit in a great little affordable resort. The condo itself is well equipped with just about everything you would need for a comfortable week on the beach. (We only had one issue, as we think the oven isn't working properly, should be looked at or repaired.) This resort has no pool or hot tub, which doesn't bother us as we spend our time on the beach or in the ocean, but if you are looking for a full service resort, this isn't it. We had unbelievable views from a private lanai in this corner unit, and the proximity to the ocean on this beautiful, low key bay is fantastic. I have never stayed anywhere in Hawaii where I was so close to the water. The sound of the surf in the units facing the ocean is amazing. The water in Napili bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, as is the water in the very close Kapulua bay. There are great walking trails in Kapalua, and the General Store at Kapalua is a nice inexpensive place to have breakfast or a cup of coffe after an early morning walk in Kapalua. The Sea House Restaurant on Napili is also a good breakfast, lunch or sunset dinner spot with reasonable prices for Hawaii. We watched dozens of whales all week from our lanai. The grocery market in Napili is just minutes away, and a much better alternative for buying food and supplies than the very busy Safeway in very busy Lahaina. There is quite a bit of traffic on this side of the island, especially from Lahaina to Kapalua, but was not a big problem if you avoid driving at rush hour. We would recommend Napili Bay wholeheartedly!

Beautiful condo, great location

My wife and I recently stayed in this condo for an anniversary/birthday vacation. Having once lived in the area, we were familiar with the resort and knew the location was perfect for us. The interior of the condo matched the location- recently remodeled and very clean and comfortable - would absolutely stay there again in the future.

—Scott (01/26/2012)

From the moment we walked in, it felt like home.

We arrived late at night and it was dark...but when we saw the silhouettes of the palm trees and heard the crashing of the surf, we knew we'd arrived at a little piece of paradise! We loved the décor, comfortable bed and furniture, cleanliness of the unit, in -suite laundry, air conditioning, lovely grounds and pool as well as the amenities and little extras (first aid kit, beach towels, soaps, etc.) The condo was very well equipped with all the necessities for a most pleasant stay. Seeing turtles in the ocean from our lanai was a real thrill. We talked to other travelers who were staying in more upscale areas (at a more "upscale” price of course) and they all agreed our ocean front view, being in a quieter residential area (not so busy and touristy) as well as the convenience to shops and restaurants made this condo the best choice possible. We enjoyed our stay so much, were sad to leave and hope to come back again!

—Beverley (01/22/2012)

I would return at the drop of a hat!!

Nothing we didn't like. The beach was wonderful, surf was great, whales, spinner dolphins and turtles provided entertainment. Everything in this condo was top notch including fridge with ice maker, nothing missing. Napili Bay was relaxing and everything we could imagine. Bbq area was clean, well maintained and provided a friendly atmosphere. Laundry room was troublefree even provided a library of books (read and return).

Nohonani Condos and Resort

Probably the best place I've ever stayed in Maui

Unit #108 was the best vacation I've had in Maui after many, many visits to the Island. I've stayed in both the fancy and not-so-fancy places and found the Maui Kai to be about the best. The location is terrific and if you want to be just steps from the beach this is the place for you. It has all the comfort of home and is well-stocked with kitchen utensils if you prefer cooking in the unit. The unit itself is very comfortable with seating on the lanai for ocean viewing and whale watching, tv's in both the bedroom and living room and quite comfortable furniture. Also provided are beach chairs, a cooler, and beach towels along with the basics to get started, such as t.paper, paper towels, spices, etc. The condo has a swimming pool for those days when the wind is too strong to lie in the sand. If you have any problems they have access to a wonderful maid service and she's right there for anything you might need. The condo, although not affiliated with the owners of this unit, are helpful as well. You can get free coffee in the morning and pick up a newspaper and great postcards there too. Convenience is unsurpassed as well. You can walk right next door to an upscale resort for music and cocktails or walk up and down a long stretch of beautiful beach. There is a full grocery store just a minute's drive away and loads of eatery's all around. Lahaina town is only a few minutes drive and where you'll find all the shopping and bars and restaurants you'll ever want. My favorite part of the entire experience was the ability to just walk out the door and be on the beach. No going in and out of lobby's or up and down elevators. Just out the door and on the beach! Quite wonderful! Thank you for a fantastic experience.

—Jayebird (11/18/2011)

Thanks for an awesome vacation!

We had a wonderful trip to Maui, and this condo became our home away from home. The location was excellent, and we were able to walk to a convenience store, market and several restaurants. The view was incredible, and the mattresses were very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was such a wonderful convenience! We will be staying here again the next time we visit!

—Amanda (08/28/2011)

Perfect!

For my wife and I, this really was the perfect place to stay on Maui. We were a little surprised at how small the condo seemed when we first arrived, but then we were also surprised that it really didn't matter. We had everything that we needed. The Condo was more than comfortable. The location was more than stunning. While we did not see any whales from our window, (it was just a little late in the season) we did see a huge sea turtle swim by. Amazing! The sound of the surf at night was hypnotic. You are so close to the waves that you'll have to close the windows if you want to hear the tv. The condo is not part of the Maui Kai's "service", so you're a little bit of an outsider, but the office staff were still helpful and courteous, and you have access to all of the amenities except daily maid service. If you are looking for a great economical place to stay, and you are a little independant and don't need the pampering of a high end resort, this is a heavenly option!

Whaler Resort

Very convenient, informative and most enjoyable stay

Everything turned out well for our stay, Shayla was most helpful and we appreciated walking into a very well equipped condo, especially the iced beer mugs and even a cold beer, well done Shayla! Much needed after a long road to Hana. My advice, stay overnight in Hana. The loft bedroom is a wonderful touch, Hana must be going through a heat wave, it was extremely hot and muggy during our stay. The reference books were so helpful and my 13 year old was delighted to find the portable dvd player. Great to have the use of boogie boards and beach chairs. Charming place to stay.
