A private corner condo on the top floor with only one other condo adjacent to it. The bottom unit is the resident's manager office which is very considerate to guests. The lanai is very private and especially on high-surf days, less effected by noise from the beach both from the waves and beach goers in the morning.

My husband and I recently returned home from a Maui vacation which included four nights in room #218 at Napili Bay Condominiums. From the moment we entered the condo, we knew we had made a very good choice for a place to stay in this area. We had a wonderful, delicious, and fun-item filled gift basket awaiting us, providing a very sweet & welcoming touch! Out on the lanai, where we had a beautiful ocean view complete with many playful whales, there were all sorts of items to make our stay more comfortable, including snorkeling equipment, an umbrella, and great beach chairs. The condo itself was in great shape, airy and clean, with all the facilities necessary for snack and full meal preparation. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was wi-fi for our convenience. We explored the area thoroughly, especially enjoying the snorkeling right at Napili Bay,and were very happy with our decision to stay in this area. We will definitely be back and felt that condo #218 was an incredible deal! Thanks so much for your efforts to ensure customer satisfaction, comfort, and happiness!

The balcony had good chairs and a great view. The clock radio beeped in the middle of the night. It was great to walk to the beach. All the hotels were close to the beach and in the future hotels should be built back from the beach. I was shocked to see some people feed turtles lettuce.

The singing birds each and every morning at 6:15.am were a delightful way to wake up every day. The sound of the waves were just as wonderful. We will always remember that from our stay at this condo. Stunning location. Loved sitting on the lanai for breakfast and seeing a slice of the ocean. Nice updated kitchen and good kitchen amenities. Really appreciated use of the cooler & beach chairs. Easy parking. Easy access to beach! One recommendation would be to update the bathroom with a new tub, toilet and shower curtain or shower doors. The bathroom felt a little run down. The unit could also use an updated couch. Other than that, it was wonderful.

This was our 3rd different condo in 3 years on Napili Bay and we found it best suited for economy and excellent facilities. ie. No unnecessary communal pool and accompaning noise, no invasive daily maid service. Just a perfectly quiet relaxing balcony apartment with a beach view just steps away and all the necessary beach equipment (portable canvas chairs, snorkelling equipment - flippers/masks/snorkels. A bargain! and our search is over. Already making plans to return in 2013. Add a monthly Maui Bus pass for $25/senior and any daily transport needs for shopping at Napili Plaza, Lahaina, Kaanapali or Whalers Village is less than 100 yards from your door.

We so enjoyed this clean and airy condo just steps away from Napili Bay! The lanai had a fabulous view of the ocean and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped for cooking. Special touches included the lovely gift basket upon our arrival, beach chairs and towels, boogie boards and snorkel equipment. We enjoyed this location for its quietness, access to spectacular snorkeling, and wonderful walking and running paths along the ocean. Spent a week on Maui and loved it all but decided that Napili Bay was the best location for us!

Where to begin?? The condo booking and check-in was seamless, and the condo itself is lovely. Everything a person would need is already there, and you're steps from the best beach in Maui. We stopped at Costco on our way in and got essentials, which worked out great so that we could relax in the morning and have breakfast on the balcony in our PJs and have lunch snacks on the beach. Only ate out a couple times, Kimo's and Merriman's, and of course the Gazebo, otherwise, ate in. So great!! Ice was already in the freezer and we also received a wonderful gift basket with great Kona coffee and other Hawaii treats! So sweet! The bed is super comfortable and the beach chairs were the absolute best! The only thing I could think of to say even partially negative had nothing to do with the condo and everything to do with the 5:30am bird and rooster wake-up calls. Lol that's the beauty of vacation, I just rolled over and went back to sleep!!! Thank you annie and Claudio!! xoxo

The location can't be beat, right on Napili Bay. Not a luxury resort, but who needs that??? Accomodations were comfortable, room clean and well supplied. No a/C, but ceiling fan was fine. I'd stay here again and again! There was some confusion about my checkout date. I was contacted by Cathy? several days before my checkout date, asking when I was checking out the next day. Apparently her information was based on a reservation that was canceled and was not updated. This was easily straightened out. Information received from Claudio was straight forward and made check in easy.

Nice condo with all the amenities. It has a full kitchen with full size fridge, etc. There was a nice fruit/gift basket awaiting us. Last year we stayed in one of the condos closer to the beach. This condo was just as nice, 90 dollars a night cheaper, and it took us 20 seconds longer to get to the beach. Napili Market is a 5 minute drive, so we ate almost all our meals at the condo. Walking distance to Seahouse, The Gazebo, and Merrimans restaurants. Its a quiet location at the end of the building. From the lanai, you can see the ocean on the right and the West Maui mountains on the left. Every morning we walked the Kapalua scenic trail, which skirts the ocean for over a mile before turning upland. All in all, for us, this vacation was way less expensive than going to Florida, and about 100 times better.

Our Stay at Napili Bay Resort (Condo 218) was fantastic! Claudio and anne were very easy to work with regarding our reservation and made sure all of our needs were met. Although the condo is located one building back from the beach side of the complex, you can still see the ocean from the lanai. At the time of our stay, construction was being done on the land next to the condo. We were not affected by the noise or the workers whatsoever, because we tended to be away from the condo during the hours of construction. Most importantly, Claudio informed us of the construction being done in advance, which was not problematic. The condo itself has a galley kitchen, which includes, a coffee maker, full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The local grocery center is conveniently located less than a mile away, which by the way offers fresh poke, yum! The beach is 1/2 block distance from the condo and within walking distance to the wonderful Sea House Restaurant. The snorkeling in Napili Bay is quite special in that 3 turtles inhabit the general area and you can swim with them. We will definitely return and recommend this condo to vacation. Sincerely, Deb and Jim

Brian and Julie from San Diego, CA on 01/16/2012 said:
We completely enjoyed the condo; it was great to be able to prepare our own meals using the condo's full kitchen and the common barbecue grills located downstairs. The ocean view from the Lanai is quite nice and the tradewinds blow through the unit, keeping it nice and comfortable. It was very quiet while we were there. The Napili Bay beach is beautiful and just a few steps away. We used the snorkeling equipment provided by the owner; it worked just fine. We left a couple of noodles behind for future snorkelers (they help with flotation). The only improvements we could recommend are: 1. the Internet didn't work at all and from the comments seen in the condo's journal lots of other renters have had this problem as well. The DSL light on the modem blinked constantly, which indicates a line problem. I rebooted the modem several times, but it did not fix the problem. Contrary to what some people believe, some of us do have to keep in touch with work and family while we are on vacation! Finding wifi elsewhere was a challenge. I called the local condo representative for help with the Internet problem; she followed up once but didn't get back to me after that. 2. The resort could use a hot tub; possibly they could reach an agreement with the Napili Kai resort next door to use theirs? Just a suggestion. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Unit 218!
Manager response:
Thank you Brian and Julie for your feedback on our unit, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the internet connection I will research the issue and see what can be done to improve the reliability of the connection. I understand some guests really need access to the internet and I already pay a monthly fee to be able to provide this service so its important that its working. On the hot tub suggestion I will see what we can do.
Aloha
Claudio

My daughter and I were looking for a reasonable place to stay for our September vacation on Maui. I came across Napili Bay Resort and looked at the info on 218. It looked like a nice place for us to stay. Were we surprised when we arrived. It was on one of the beaches(Napili Bay)that we like. The accommodations were really nice. Everything we needed was there. We were greeted with a beautiful gift basket with pinapple, bananas, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, a tote bag etc. The place was clean. We felt we were staying in a little bungalow in the jungle as outside from the lanai were all sorts of trees to the front and to the side. The birds would be singing in them in the morning. The grounds were very pretty. On the lanai, we could see the ocean. To get to the beach, it took just a few minutes. You walked across a path and unlocked the gate, and there was the beach. I think 218 is the best condo in the whole complex. We were close to all the places we like to go. We finally found the Gazebo and ate there three times. We did not go in the morning and stand in line, we waited until 1PM and went and had breakfast. We walked over to Turtle Cove and went snorkeling with the turtles. We snorkeled also at Honolua Bay, Kapalua and Napili. We went on the Coastal Trail three different times. This was a beautiful walk. Once we went all the way to D.T. Fleming Park. The other two times we made it to the boardwalk. We were close to Whaler's Village and Lahaina. We ate twice at Mama's Ribs and Rotisserie. This place was great. It was not far from the condo. It is at Napili Bay Plaza. We like the Gazebo there on Napili Bay. We also went to Cool Cat two times in Lahaina. My daughter and I are planning a trip for next September. We have stayed in two other places on Maui that were quite more expensive than this one, but this is our favorite. It would not be big enough for our entire family, but it is just the right size for my daughter Shauna and me.This was my 16th trip to Maui

Napili Bay on Maui is a perfect snorkeling bay and Unit 218 in the Napili Bay Resort is the perfect place to stay to enjoy all of Maui. We stayed for a total of 17 days on Maui and split our vacation into three different sections. If we were able to do it again, we still would have gone to Hana and stayed there for a few nights, but we would have doubled the time we stayed in Unit #218 at the Napili Bay Resort. Don't miss Honolua Bay for more snorkeling. So very close to Ka'anapali and Lahaina. Doesn't take long to drive to Kihei and the drive around the north part of the island past the blow hole is a beautiful adventure.

We stayed 9&10Nov2010 and enjoyed the full size kitchen. They had plenty of good cookware, utensils, plates, and a dishwasher. The front door had wood louvers as did the side windows and door. If the room was too warm all we had to do was open the louvers on both sides and turn on the fan and the room filled with lovely cool air n minutes. A great feature. The queen size bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The Lanai is comfortable with a small table and 2 chairs. They had boogie boards with leases for our daily use. This was a bonus. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the sounds of birds and the waves. On the 11th we switched to a 2nd condo and the owner coordinated this with the housekeeping staff, which made for a very smooth move. Our thanks to the owners & housekeeping staff. My wife and I stayed in unit 218 at Napili Bay Resort for a week in Sept. 2010 and it was a great experience. The place was as much or more than what we expected. The unit is not Ocean front but it is diffinately a great Ocean view. It is closer to the Ocean and a larger and clearer view than what the pictures show. Right on one of the nicest beaches in Maui and it was not very crowded at all. The room was nice and clean, no a/C but with the louvers open and the great tropical breeze it was nice and we slept great on a very soft matress (the feel of a feather bed). We cooked several meals including breakfast every morning in the unit and I grilled steaks out a couple of nights. Would diffinately recommend this as a great place to stay. Fyi, the Napili Market Grocery Store right in Napili only about a 1/2 mile drive away is a good place to shop, the prices were surprisingly as low or lower than the other Super Markets such as Safeway and Times.

The owner is extremely prompt on getting back to you with any questions which I really appreciated. The condo does not have aC but it stayed cool enough with overhead fans and a box fan that we found in the closet. The bed is also very comfortable. My husband and I absolutely loved our week spent at Napili Bay, unit 218. The studio condo was extremely clean and inviting, and even though it was on the end of the condo complex, it still had a great view of Napili Beach. We loved how we could step out our front door and be lounging on the beach in under a minute! We especially appreciated all the little considerations, like the beach equiptment, mini-cooler, extra fan, etc. Our least favorite part of the condo was the bed - it was not only extremly hard, but seemed to slope oddly away from the center and made for sore backs and necks the following morning. However, the bed aside, we had an absolutely fantastic experience and we will try to return again soon to this private little get-away!

The reservation process was efficient and friendly. I enjoyed the independence of having a little apartment instead of staying at a hotel. This condo is nicely located close to a small mall that had pretty much anything you would need for a stay. It was clean and well equipped with access to a gas grill, laundry room and a nicely maintained private beach. There is no air conditioning but the apartment had great crosswind ventilation and a very effective ceiling fan. Perfect size for couples or a lone traveler.

This was our second time staying at Napili Bay, but first time in this condo. We got a great last minute deal, and were very happy with the unit especially since it was on the end but still had an ocean view. The location is ideal with Napili Bay Beach right outside, Kapalua resort area nearby with walking trails, restaurants, spa, etc. The unit had some great amenities such as beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, etc. Recommendations for the owner would be to fix the very high transition from the tile to hardwood. We stubbed our toes/tripped so many times on that - Ouch! Also, it would be great if there were more comfy pillows and more selection of dishes such as bigger cereal bowls, baking/cookie sheets, utensils, etc.
Manager response:
Aloha Kristine. Thank you for staying with us for the 2nd time and for your feedback on things we can improve in our unit. I just wanted to let you know that you have addressed the floor transition from the kitchen to the hardwood floors and also have restocked the kitchen with more dishes and general kitchen utensils. Aloha and hope to have you back again soon.

We stayed at Napili Bay Resort unit 218 for 10 days in September 2009. The condo had very comfortable furnishings. Weather was marvelous, wonderful breeze and sounds of the surf every day. View of the ocean from lanai. Napili Bay is superb for swimming and snorkeling. The Seahouse Restaurant is within walking distance, and is a superb restaurant on the beach with great sunsets. At the other end of the bay is the Gazebo Restaurant (serving breakfast and lunch only) Will definitely return.

The location of the resort and condo was perfect for a couple...especially for the affordable price. Napili Bay is great for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding. Room 218 is a 1 minute walk to the picturesque beach with 2 great restaurants located on it: Sea House and the Gazebo. The room had plenty of ammenities including, a cooler, beach chairs and boogie boards to use for free. It was also clean and quiet and even though you are not right on the beach, you can still see a good view of the beach/ocean from the Lanai. Also, there are so many other great beaches, restaurants, snorkeling spots and shopping within 3 - 30 minute drive of Napili Bay Resort.

My friend and I stayed in condo 218 for four nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, with a great modern kitchen which meant we could cook our own meals. It was also very well-equipped. The rest of the condo was great too, with a comfy bed and couch. We loved having breakfast on our lanai each morning. I found the information provided in the condo about the local area, places to eat etc. very helpful. It was nice to have recommendations from those who know best! The condo was well located with shops within walking distance and so close to the beach. The only criticism I have is that the condo is quite dark during the day without the lights on. On the other hand, it did help to keep the condo cool. Overall a brilliant place to stay, I'll be back again soon!

It was a very nice place but when we booked the condo it said it had air conditioning. When we arrived it only had a ceiling fan and thatched windows. The area was beautiful but it was definately hot and sticky. Especially since this was our honeymoon! Oh, and they had said we would get a welcome basket, and we didn't :( That was kind of dissappointing but I guess that would've been above and beyond anyway so I can't be mad. It was a great view and nice on the ocean. We didn't think the snorkeling was that great. Everything was pretty mixed up and not much to see.

The only minor glitch during the week was that Internet access was sometimes unavailable, but the owner was very cooperative in trying to get the problem solved. The beach is right next to the complex and was never crowded. The snorkeling is good here. Restaurants and stores are conveniently close by in Napili and Kapalua. This area is much less crowded and more low-key than places farther down the coast. We had an excellent, relaxing time and will definitely stay here again whenever we get the chance.

Thank you annie and Claudio!! xoxo

Aloha
Claudio

The best place on Maui from Tacoma, Washington on 09/27/2011 said:

My husband and I stayed in this condo for 10 days for our honeymoon in July. The condo is in great condition and the location on Napili Bay is perfect. We loved the view of the ocean from our Lanai. The owner has stocked the condo with everything you could need for cooking your own meals as well as coolers to bring food to the beach. There are also boogie boards and snorkel masks on the Lanai. The owner is extremely prompt on getting back to you with any questions which I really appreciated. The condo does not have aC but it stayed cool enough with overhead fans and a box fan that we found in the closet. The bed is also very comfortable. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a private place on an amazing beach!

I came to Maui to de-stress and #218 was exactly what I needed. The room was welcoming, exceptionally clean, nice amenities, and though at the 'back' of the condo complex it has a wonderful (did I say already? "quiet and private") view of the ocean from the lanai. I arrived late afternoon and sat on the lanai with my wine for the sunset - and saw 2 whales breeching. Kathy, the condo cleaner was so friendly and so helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in #218 again or to recommend it - highly. Best deal I've found in Hawaii.

Manager response:
Aloha Emilyin. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your feedback about the bed in our unit. Since this is the first time we received such feedback, I will follow up with the guests since your stay and potentially look into replacing the mattress the first opportunity we have. Thank you again and we hope to have you back in our unit again in the future.

"Aloha Emilyin. I just want to let you know that we replaced the mattress and box spring a couple of weeks ago and to thank you to again for bringing this issue to our attention."

My boyfriend and I got engaged on our first night on Maui on the beach at Napili Bay. We absolutely loved our condo, which made our wonderful vacation even more enjoyable. The condo was easy to find, easy to park, and close to all the necessary stores, etc. that made our stay relaxing and confortable. The condo was fully stocked with everything we could ever need: a beach cooler, flashlight, welcome gift basket, dishes and kitchen supplies, etc. It was exactly what we needed and what we expected when we booked the place. We had breakfast on our patio listening to the waves every morning. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing, beautiful, safe place to vacation.
Quaint and lovely

Our stay at Napili Bay was absolutely fabulous! We loved the condo. It was very nice and very clean. There was a gift basket waiting for us when we arrived, and all the things we needed to live there for a week were provided. The access to the beach was so nice-it was almost like having your own private beach! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a great week in Napili Bay. The condo was clean and well appointed, exactly as it was shown on-line. The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise and we enjoyed using the beach chairs, body boards, and cooler. There was always a breeze in the condo, no need for A/C even in July. Thanks for a great week! The Shails

This condo, while not in a modern building, is extremely well cared for and well serviced. The building maintenance, the grounds and the staff are all of a high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending it and would certainly stay there again if I ever return to Maui, which incidentally is a very friendly and beautiful island.

This condo is perfect for two people -- small, but has everything you need. The place was clean and tidy when we arrived and a basket of treats was waiting for us.

We loved it - The condo had nice decor (more cool than ritzy), and everything we needed, and the rate is fantastic for a condo just a couple teeny steps to our favorite sandy snorkeling cove/beach - Napili Bay! We also found the owners to be very nice, friendly and accommodating in our dealings. The onsite manager for the condos there sure keeps the grounds and facilities up really well too. So I give it the ALL GOOD. :^)
