Absolutely relaxing

We had booked our tickets earlier this year but were having a difficult time finding anyplace that was reasonably priced. On a June trip to Alaska, we met someone who told us about Aloha Condos. The price was right so we thought we’d give it... more a try. We are so glad we did! The literal two minute walk to the gorgeous beach was the best! We could relax back at the condo between swims. The kitchen was perfect, except it would have been nice to have some extra herbs or seasonings for barbecuing. We hadn’t checked about air conditioning and were a little taken aback that there wasn’t any. Thankfully, because we were there in late September, it wasn’t too hot. But definitely make a note of that fact if you’re coming at another time. The boogie boards, beach chairs and cooler were much appreciated. We purchased and left pool noodles that are super helpful for snorkeling if you don’t feel comfortable. The only regret is that you don’t have family sized units available. We would love to bring our kids and grandkids. Guess we’ll have to look elsewhere at Napili for that. Overall, we loved Aloha Condos! less

A Wonderful Vacation

Great Condo in a Great Location

Terrific place to relax

Amazing spot in paradise! Felt safe during the pandemic

Napili Bay Resort exceeded all of our expectations! Condo 218 is a clean and well-organized studio at a beautiful and practical location. My partner and I stayed in the condo for a week in October, right after Hawaii re-opened for visitors. We were a bit... more skeptical before arriving to the island because of the current situation, but staying at this condo made us feel safe, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing vacation in paradise. Claudio, the condo's landlord, was extremely nice and accommodating. He helped us have a smooth stay and he quickly answered any questions we had. Upon arrival, our check-in was contactless, and the condo was super clean and tidy, which made us feel safe in regards to COVID-19. The beautiful condo is located right on the beach, and we even got ocean view from our lovely balcony! While the condo is small, it felt spacious and was equipped with everything we needed for an amazing vacation - beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The location was gorgeous and we were able to easily get around for groceries (Napili Market is great) and to beautiful beaches. This condo allowed us to have a fun and relaxing vacation in paradise :) I highly recommend this condo for couples (the max occupancy is two people). We hope to return soon! less

Maui Beach Paradise

Our stay was absolutely fabulous. The Napili Bay Resort is a small scale (36 units), low (2 storey), old style Hawaiian character condominium development including 2 buildings with a common outdoor BBQ area and well cared for gardens. Each unit is a studio with a... more kitchenette, bathroom and combination living/bedroom ideal for 2 people. These buildings were constructed in the 1970's and each of the owners have undertaken various upgrades and updates. The kitchenette in unit 218 is very good but the stove is a bit old. The bathroom area is a bit dated but the shower works fine. The bed is a bit soft and the couch is a bit tired but the living/bedroom is furnished with nice old-style wicker. As a corner unit, the lania has the benefit of nice breezes and tall chairs, which afford lovely views of both the garden and ocean. However, the best aspect of this unit is the price. The few flaws with this unit are more than compensated by the reasonable rate and if I had my choice I would prefer the rate to remain the same rather than have the unit upgraded resulting in a rate increase. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and are booked again for next year. Thank you Claudio and Annie. less

Our Two Weeks in Napili Bay

We enjoyed our stay overall. We had everything we needed including help from the onsite manager on how to work the TV. Possible improvements to the unit could be as follows: 1) A fitted bottom bed sheet with elastic on the corners would make for... more a more comfortable sleep and easier bedmaking in the a.m. 2) Fitted shelves in bathroom cabinet would provide more space for toiletries. 3) Insufficient draw space for the smaller clothing items, underwear, tops, shorts etc. 4) Dining room table and chairs could be better. Those provided would be for patio use in the U.K. 5) Lanai chairs too high for older people. Also too high for height of table such that it was difficult to seat easily for dining, i.e breakfast in the mornings. Otherwise excellent location and friendly neighbours. Ideal location at a great price!

This cozy studio condo was exactly what we needed. We were a stones through from the beach, and yet because of the unique location of this condo, we had very little "human" noise even in the middle of the day when there were more people... more enjoying the beach, and enjoyed the privacy that only an upstairs corner unit can provide. We had little use for our rental car, (except for excursions) as we were walking distance from the grocery store, dive/surf shop, coffee shop, and restaurants. The condo was equipped with everything that we needed for our one week stay, including boogie boards, beach chairs and towels and some snorkeling gear. If you haven't stayed on Napili Bay, you are missing out! It is a perfect place for swimming, snorkeling and body surfing, and the sea turtles were swimming around right off shore on a regular basis. Good Value for Reasonably Priced Unit!

Perhaps changing out one of the smaller side tables or the table near the desk for a 3 or 4 drawer dresser would help. The location of the resort was excellent for access to Napili Bay, which is lovely, and parking was very good, too. As a general rule, it was quiet with the exception of several early mornings per week of trash and recycling pickup. Also, we had trouble connecting to the internet through the condo's network and had to use another unit's WIFI. Overall, we had a very pleasant, enjoyable stay there and would consider staying there again while in Maui. less

A Lovely Stay On The Beach!

My husband and I stayed here for 6 days while we visited Maui on our honeymoon. It was an ideal location for us! The owners also provided us with chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards (plus snorkel equipment that we didn't try out because we rented equipment). The bay is a great place to snorkel, swim, boogie board, or watch the sunset, which was probably my favorite part. The room was comfortable and clean, and the lanai was a lovely place to eat breakfast. The only thing I wished for was a ceiling fan that worked a little better, because it was pretty hot while we were there and the fan's top speed was pretty slow. Condo 218

The condo was clean, and had anything one would need for the beach and barbecue. Many of the louvers did not open and close. It was not really such a problem, except for the light shining in from the hallway across the yard, and not... more being able to have a cross breeze at night. Cozy little condo on the beach

Great place for any one who loves everything about a beach and do their own thing. It's just steps away and owner of this property has ensured that everything you need is right at hand from kitchen utilities, TV & wifi to board games,beach towels,boogie... more boards & snorkeling gear and for those lazy people who did not do their research before coming, a stock of books and guides to get to know Maui is available on table and in TV cabinet. This is not a resort so do not expect to have daily cleaning and room service but if you want all that then you pay more to hotel chains. You take care of this condo, cook, unwind, explore the local beaches, sights and generally have a good time. Also they have a nearby coin operated laundry in this community. It was a very pleasant stay and would recommend this. Tips: It can be a bit windy outside and accompanied with ocean it can get loud so be prepared to enjoy natural surround sound in all it's glory even at night or get some ear plugs if you prefer not to. Its not too crazy but beach gets relatively crowded after 11am all the way till near evening depending on weather. Access to it is using room key. Sunset is great on a clear day. Snorkeling conditions are best in mornings and sometimes in evening especially when the trade winds have not picked up. Boogie board, swim, snorkel, watch out for turtles, fishes but stay safe and keep a distance from marine life and do not disturb, litter or go crazy. There is no one to monitor and people can get carried away and unintentionally hurt themselves, others or an entire eco-system. Door knob for both patio and main door has a lock which when in lock position will not open unless you have the key. We managed to lock ourselves out in the patio without a key but luckily were able to get help. Night time driving can be difficult as roads between Kahului and Napili are not well lit most of the way so please take that into consideration if you are flying in late night. Also avoid highway 340 while coming here but drive it from here on a relaxing day to enjoy an adventurous and scenic route. There is a great breakfast/brunch place called Gazebo near by. It's full in morning with long waits but in afternoon it was easy to find a table. less

I have stayed at about every condo at Napili in the last 20 years. I give the Napili Bay Resort a 4 star rating. The condo was super clean and had all the basic appliances needed. I loved being off the water but still having... more a little view of it from the lanai. One of the great things about this unit is that you can softly hear the ocean and also the sway of the palm leaves outside. The resort is on the bay so you are only a few feet away from the beach. Lots of free parking which is a giant plus at Napili. Didn't get a five because no pool or recreational grounds (other than the ocean). Plan on staying at this unit again in the future. P.S. Good value excellent location best buy on Napili bay

Stayed in 218 11 days it is in the back building in the corner but there is an excellent ocean view from the lanai. There was a nice welcome basket which was full of treats from the island. This was our second time staying at... more Napili Bay they have similar condos right on the beach but they are $100 more a night. Condo was in good shape for an older unit clean with a nicely stocked kitchen. I guess the only two things that could of been better were that the internet connection was not reliable worked maybe half the time didn't need internet a lot but did need it some. Also the one ceiling fan is controlled with a dimmer switch and it will only go to medium speed. The chain is missing on the fan so you cannot turn it to high manually. Overall a very nice unit that well worth the money, Napili Bay is a very nice little complex with about 30 units they have a common BBQ area on a beautiful beach. Highly recommend this property! less

Condo 218 at Napili Bay Condominiums

My husband and I recently returned home from a Maui vacation which included four nights in room #218 at Napili Bay Condominiums. From the moment we entered the condo, we knew we had made a very good choice for a place to stay in this... more area. We had a wonderful, delicious, and fun-item filled gift basket awaiting us, providing a very sweet & welcoming touch! Out on the lanai, where we had a beautiful ocean view complete with many playful whales, there were all sorts of items to make our stay more comfortable, including snorkeling equipment, an umbrella, and great beach chairs. The condo itself was in great shape, airy and clean, with all the facilities necessary for snack and full meal preparation. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was wi-fi for our convenience. We explored the area thoroughly, especially enjoying the snorkeling right at Napili Bay,and were very happy with our decision to stay in this area. Great to hear the ocean and birds and not cars

The condo was clean and had everything we needed.The flowers and attention to the landscaping was very nice. The beach chairs and beach towels were appreciated. The balcony had good chairs and a great view. The clock radio beeped in the middle of the night.... more It was great to walk to the beach. morning birds

The singing birds each and every morning at 6:15.am were a delightful way to wake up every day. The sound of the waves were just as wonderful. We will always remember that from our stay at this condo. Stunning location. Loved sitting on the lanai... more for breakfast and seeing a slice of the ocean. Nice updated kitchen and good kitchen amenities. Really appreciated use of the cooler & beach chairs. Easy parking. Easy access to beach! Best value at Napili beach

This was our 3rd different condo in 3 years on Napili Bay and we found it best suited for economy and excellent facilities. ie. No unnecessary communal pool and accompaning noise, no invasive daily maid service. Fabulous condo for our 30th wedding anniversary!

We so enjoyed this clean and airy condo just steps away from Napili Bay! The lanai had a fabulous view of the ocean and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped for cooking. Perfect Hawaii get-away!!

Where to begin?? The condo booking and check-in was seamless, and the condo itself is lovely. Everything a person would need is already there, and you're steps from the best beach in Maui. We stopped at Costco on our way in and got essentials, which... more worked out great so that we could relax in the morning and have breakfast on the balcony in our PJs and have lunch snacks on the beach. Only ate out a couple times, Kimo's and Merriman's, and of course the Gazebo, otherwise, ate in. So great!! Ice was already in the freezer and we also received a wonderful gift basket with great Kona coffee and other Hawaii treats! So sweet! The bed is super comfortable and the beach chairs were the absolute best! The only thing I could think of to say even partially negative had nothing to do with the condo and everything to do with the 5:30am bird and rooster wake-up calls. Beachfront getaway!

The location can't be beat, right on Napili Bay. Not a luxury resort, but who needs that??? Accomodations were comfortable, room clean and well supplied. No a/C, but ceiling fan was fine. I'd stay here again and again! There was some confusion about my checkout... more date. I was contacted by Cathy? several days before my checkout date, asking when I was checking out the next day. Apparently her information was based on a reservation that was canceled and was not updated. This was easily straightened out. Comforts of home in Paradise.

Great

Nice condo with all the amenities. It has a full kitchen with full size fridge, etc. There was a nice fruit/gift basket awaiting us. Last year we stayed in one of the condos closer to the beach. This condo was just as nice, 90 dollars... more a night cheaper, and it took us 20 seconds longer to get to the beach. Napili Market is a 5 minute drive, so we ate almost all our meals at the condo. Walking distance to Seahouse, The Gazebo, and Merrimans restaurants. Its a quiet location at the end of the building. From the lanai, you can see the ocean on the right and the West Maui mountains on the left. Every morning we walked the Kapalua scenic trail, which skirts the ocean for over a mile before turning upland. All in all, for us, this vacation was way less expensive than going to Florida, and about 100 times better. less

Our Maui vacation 2012

Our Stay at Napili Bay Resort (Condo 218) was fantastic! Claudio and anne were very easy to work with regarding our reservation and made sure all of our needs were met. Although the condo is located one building back from the beach side of the... more complex, you can still see the ocean from the lanai. At the time of our stay, construction was being done on the land next to the condo. We were not affected by the noise or the workers whatsoever, because we tended to be away from the condo during the hours of construction. Most importantly, Claudio informed us of the construction being done in advance, which was not problematic. The condo itself has a galley kitchen, which includes, a coffee maker, full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The local grocery center is conveniently located less than a mile away, which by the way offers fresh poke, yum! The beach is 1/2 block distance from the condo and within walking distance to the wonderful Sea House Restaurant. The snorkeling in Napili Bay is quite special in that 3 turtles inhabit the general area and you can swim with them. We will definitely return and recommend this condo to vacation. A Beautiful Piece of Paradise!

We completely enjoyed the condo; it was great to be able to prepare our own meals using the condo's full kitchen and the common barbecue grills located downstairs. The ocean view from the Lanai is quite nice and the tradewinds blow through the unit, keeping... more it nice and comfortable. It was very quiet while we were there. The Napili Bay beach is beautiful and just a few steps away. We used the snorkeling equipment provided by the owner; it worked just fine. We left a couple of noodles behind for future snorkelers (they help with flotation). The only improvements we could recommend are: 1. the Internet didn't work at all and from the comments seen in the condo's journal lots of other renters have had this problem as well. The DSL light on the modem blinked constantly, which indicates a line problem. I rebooted the modem several times, but it did not fix the problem. Contrary to what some people believe, some of us do have to keep in touch with work and family while we are on vacation! Finding wifi elsewhere was a challenge. I called the local condo representative for help with the Internet problem; she followed up once but didn't get back to me after that. 2. The resort could use a hot tub; possibly they could reach an agreement with the Napili Kai resort next door to use theirs? Just a suggestion. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Unit 218! less

Fantastic

My daughter and I were looking for a reasonable place to stay for our September vacation on Maui. I came across Napili Bay Resort and looked at the info on 218. It looked like a nice place for us to stay. Were we surprised when... more we arrived. It was on one of the beaches(Napili Bay)that we like. The accommodations were really nice. Everything we needed was there. We were greeted with a beautiful gift basket with pinapple, bananas, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, a tote bag etc. The place was clean. We felt we were staying in a little bungalow in the jungle as outside from the lanai were all sorts of trees to the front and to the side. The birds would be singing in them in the morning. The grounds were very pretty. On the lanai, we could see the ocean. To get to the beach, it took just a few minutes. You walked across a path and unlocked the gate, and there was the beach. I think 218 is the best condo in the whole complex. We were close to all the places we like to go. We finally found the Gazebo and ate there three times. We did not go in the morning and stand in line, we waited until 1PM and went and had breakfast. We walked over to Turtle Cove and went snorkeling with the turtles. We snorkeled also at Honolua Bay, Kapalua and Napili.We went on the Coastal Trail three different times. This was a beautiful walk. Once we went all the way to D.T. Fleming Park. The other two times we made it to the boardwalk. We were close to Whaler's Village and Lahaina. We ate twice at Mama's Ribs and Rotisserie. This place was great. It was not far from the condo. It is at Napili Bay Plaza. We like the Gazebo there on Napili Bay. We also went to Cool Cat two times in Lahaina. My daughter and I are planning a trip for next September. We have stayed in two other places on Maui that were quite more expensive than this one, but this is our favorite. It would not be big enough for our entire family, but it is just the right size for my daughter Shauna and me.This was my 16th trip to Maui less

Paradise on a budget!

Napili Bay on Maui is a perfect snorkeling bay and Unit 218 in the Napili Bay Resort is the perfect place to stay to enjoy all of Maui. We stayed for a total of 17 days on Maui and split our vacation into three different... more sections. If we were able to do it again, we still would have gone to Hana and stayed there for a few nights, but we would have doubled the time we stayed in Unit #218 at the Napili Bay Resort. You get preety good view of the beach from the Lanai. the pictures are deceptive, the beach is much more closer than what you percieve to be. and We just loved that. Tranquil Setting

We stayed 9&10Nov2010 and enjoyed the full size kitchen. They had plenty of good cookware, utensils, plates, and a dishwasher. The front door had wood louvers as did the side windows and door. The queen size bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The Lanai is comfortable with a small table and 2 chairs. They had boogie boards with leases for our daily use. This was a bonus. If you want to stay right on the beach but don't want to pay for luxury, this might be the place for you. The condo is in an older but well maintained building. Great Stay at Napilli Bay Resort

My wife and I stayed in unit 218 at Napili Bay Resort for a week in Sept. 2010 and it was a great experience. The place was as much or more than what we expected. The unit is not Ocean front but it is diffinately... more a great Ocean view. It is closer to the Ocean and a larger and clearer view than what the pictures show. Right on one of the nicest beaches in Maui and it was not very crowded at all. The room was nice and clean, no a/C but with the louvers open and the great tropical breeze it was nice and we slept great on a very soft matress (the feel of a feather bed). We cooked several meals including breakfast every morning in the unit and I grilled steaks out a couple of nights. Would diffinately recommend this as a great place to stay. Fyi, the Napili Market Grocery Store right in Napili only about a 1/2 mile drive away is a good place to shop, the prices were surprisingly as low or lower than the other Super Markets such as Safeway and Times. less

There are also boogie boards and snorkel masks on the Lanai. The owner is extremely prompt on getting back to you with any questions which I really appreciated. The studio condo was extremely clean and inviting, and even though it was on the end of the condo complex, it still had a great view of Napili Beach. We stayed at Napili Bay Resort unit 218 for 10 days in September 2009. The condo had very comfortable furnishings. Weather was marvelous, wonderful breeze and sounds of the surf every day. My friend and I stayed in condo 218 for four nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, with a great modern kitchen which meant we could cook our own meals. I found the information provided in the condo about the local area, places to eat etc. very helpful. It was nice to have recommendations from those who know best! The condo was well located with shops within walking distance and so close to the beach. The only criticism I have is that the condo is quite dark during the day without the lights on. Nice place, but very hot and humid.

It was a very nice place but when we booked the condo it said it had air conditioning. When we arrived it only had a ceiling fan and thatched windows. The area was beautiful but it was definately hot and sticky. Especially since this was... more our honeymoon! Oh, and they had said we would get a welcome basket, and we didn't :( That was kind of dissappointing but I guess that would've been above and beyond anyway so I can't be mad. Great Maui Value!

Napili Bay is a perfect place to stay in Maui, and my wife and I were very pleased with unit 218. Good location

Napili Bay Resort is a small place, with a close proximity to the beach. It's easy to get there with a car, even at night for a first time visitors like us. There are nice beaches nearby, restaurants and site to visit and relax there.... more The room was clean, with a fruit gift basket awiting us when we got there. My wife and I would like to return there again. less

Excellent Value Condo

This condo, while not in a modern building, is extremely well cared for and well serviced. The building maintenance, the grounds and the staff are all of a high standard. Nice location

We spent a few days at this Napaili condo. The area is one of our favorites, nice beach, great snorkeling but without alot of people. The accomodations were nice, clean, not fancy but very comfortable.

Comfortable, low-key Napili Bay

This condo is perfect for two people -- small, but has everything you need. The place was clean and tidy when we arrived and a basket of treats was waiting for us. The only minor glitch during the week was that Internet access was sometimes... more unavailable, but the owner was very cooperative in trying to get the problem solved. The beach is right next to the complex and was never crowded. The snorkeling is good here. Restaurants and stores are conveniently close by in Napili and Kapalua. This area is much less crowded and more low-key than places farther down the coast. We had an excellent, relaxing time and will definitely stay here again whenever we get the chance. less

Best Maui deal

We loved it - The condo had nice decor (more cool than ritzy), and everything we needed, and the rate is fantastic for a condo just a couple teeny steps to our favorite sandy snorkeling cove/beach - Napili Bay! We also found the owners to... more be very nice, friendly and accommodating in our dealings. The onsite manager for the condos there sure keeps the grounds and facilities up really well too. So I give it the ALL GOOD. :^) less
