Very happy customers from Sacramento, CA on 07/19/2011 said:
Our 8 night stay in unit a1 completely exceeded our expectations! The unit was well furnished, comfortable beds and furniture, kitchen equiped for our needs of cooking breakfast and snacks. All bathrooms very clean and large, the entire unit was very clean. Plenty of extra towels & some pool and beach toys provided. Don't let the pictures of being close to the road (Ali'i drive) make you think the noise will be distracting. We opened the sliding door to the lanai (closest to the road) in the early morning hours for the breeze and traffic sounds were not distracting. Once all windows and doors are closed you can not hear any traffic noise. I highly recommend selecting the air-conditioning option if you're not use to humidity. The grounds are well kept and immaculate. The pool/hottub and exercise room very clean. Having use of the garage was a bonus to load and unload and not haul your items to the extra parking spaces. Our family rented 3 other units at Na Hale O all which did not give access to the garage and they had to make multiple trips out to the car as we packed up each day for trips to the beach, volcano, drive to Hilo etc. Lastly, I appreciated the cleaning crew returning some items we left behind. We met the crew as they arrived and they knew we were next door in unit a5 with other family and came over to return some items we forgot in a bottom drawer. They could have easily thrown our things away (eye drops, note book, all miscellaneous items) but took the initiative to return to us which I commend them for! The owner ensured we had everything we needed by sending multiple emails and clearly communicated everything. We will definitely return to this unit on our next trip. Thank you Kathi for making our vacation so comfortable and wonderful, Mahalo!

Very nice place with a great view of the ocean. From lanai, we saw whales, kayakers, boats and great sunsets. It has a 90 degree view of the ocean from lanai and a 20 foot walk out on the lawn gives a 120 degree view. Short walk to stores and dining. Inside is clean with all all you need for a nice stay.

We stayed at a-1 for a week and loved every minute of it. Checkin was very easy, condo was very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the pool area (rated by another resident as the best pool in the vicinity) was a big plus since the kids went to the pool morning and evening. We opted for the air-conditioning which turned out to be a life-saver - some nights got pretty hot. Also, the Keahou beach, an excellent snorkelling site is only 10 minutes from this condo complex. The only con for some may be the road noise when the lanai door open is left open - but that didn't bother us too much. Overall an excellent value. Kathy even had extra beach towels, sand toys and boogie boards for our use. Would definitely come back here again! Thanks, Kathy!!!

The townhouse is very well kept, large, and located minutes from Kona tourist/shopping. There is also a shopping center with a grocer, pharmacy, etc etc. within easy walking distance. The only drawback was the unit is located directly next to the primary road for the area. I did not have air conditioning and left the windows open, it was quite loud. With closed windows I'm sure it would be much less distracting. I recommend buying the air conditioning unless you prefer warm humid conditions. I'm from very cool Seattle Wa area and the "hotâ humidity was a shocker
Manager response:
The condo does have air conditioning. We give all of our renters a choice to save money and opt (for a discount) if they choose not to have it. This renter opted out when they made their reservation on-line. The reservation process is very easy, but it looks like they may have intended to have it.

Na Hale O Keauhou condo a-1 has easy access, but next to busy street. Nights are quiet though with less traffic. Lots of windows to allow Kona breezes to cool. Cockroaches/killed during daytime in kitchen, so know more are out at night; keep foods safely wrapped up or in safe location. Owner easy to work with as well as local contact availability if needed. No lanai furniture off upstairs master, only downstairs lanai has furniture. Parking either in single garage or in parking area near next condos; not right outside this unit. Pool/bbq/fitness area kept clean. Condo area very quiet at night. Condos near shopping at top of hill. Hill and area next to condo great for exercising for walking/running/biking. Carpets very spotted/stained upon arrival; carpet cleaning arranged after our checkout. Easy self checkin/out of unit with instructions from owner. Wifi internet very useful during stay. Shampoo/cond./soap provided as well as in-unit washer/dryer. A/C is only usable if requested to owner and will cost extra. This is the second time staying in Na Hale O Keauhou condos, but first time in this unit. Ocean views from ground floor Lanai and upstairs lanai. Most other units only have ocean view from upstairs lanai. Most likely will stay here again.
Manager response:
Yes, I would agree that you keep foods safely wrapped up or in a safe location regardless of the condo you choose on the island and there should be no problem.

Shelley from Sandy, OR on 02/18/2011 said:
We were very happy with the townhouse. It was beautiful. The only problems with it were the carpet had very bad stains on it and some of the slats in the vertical blinds in the master bedroom were gone. That bedroom faced the street so privacy was lost. Also there was some mildew in the master shower. We especially enjoyed the pool area. Our husbands even barbaqued a steak dinner for us one night. We enjoyed our view of the ocean also. The only problem was the unit is fight next to the street so it was noisy to have the windows open, which you needed for a cross breeze, and sitting on the patio. Those were minor things compared with the value of the unit and the spaciousness of it. The owner, Kathi, worked with us and we appreciated her efforts very much. She represents you well as an owner. We wish we were back there. What better recommendation can you have?
Manager response:
The entire condo has had a carpet shampoo and it looks great. Any small items have been taken care of.

This was a great townhouse. With two little ones, I needed a place with the comforts of home but in a location in paradise. We had a issue with the washing machine not working (broken belt) but we called the local contact (Bruce) and he was able to check it out the same day and was able to get a repairman to fix it the next day. Some of the items we were very pleasantly surprise to have in the townhouse was the use of their snorkel gear, ice chest, beach chair, beach umbrella, boogie board, sand toys for the kiddies. Now keep in mind, that since these are used by multiple visitors, they get some abuse and aren't perfect like the beach chairs. The townhouse itself was in excellent condition and decor was perfect. Very well equiped kitchen with rice cooker, blender, pots and pans and tableware. The kitchen even had spices and seasonings. Couple of travel tips: 1. Keauhou Shopping Center has excellent Farmers Market on Saturday 2. Sam Choy's in Keauhou Shopping center is excellent for breakfast (special - Braised short rib local moco was great) 3. Snorkeling at Kahalu'u Beach Park is super close (1 Mile) and we saw plenty of turtles 4. Snorkeling at Two-Steps (next to Pu'uhonua o H?naunau National Historical Park) was the best and I heard there are dolphins in the early morning. 5. Beaches Hapuna Beach State Park is what you expect a Hawaiian beach to be. Fine white sand. 6. Mauna Kea Beach - more exclusive (limited parking to 30-40 cars) version of Hapuna Beach
Manager response:
Hello Mike and thank you for your great review of my condo.
I appreciate your mentioning some needed replacements such as the beach chairs. I usually get over there at least once a year but haven't been able to this past year so will have Bruce replace those.
Loved your travel tips. Didn't you just love Two Steps? We call if "Lava Beach" and go there all the time. Also glad the honus were out. So awesome that they all feel safe with their basking on Kahalulu beach.
Hope you will be able to come again some time.

We had a great stay at this beautiful house with an awesome view and location. There were six of us (three couples) and we even had a catered dinner for twenty one night and the living room, family room, and lanai area were more than able to accommodate the party. It's a medium walk to Kahaluu Beach, one of the best places to snorkel on this island. Each time we were there, we were able to swim with sea turtles and catch them sun bathing on the shore. Overall an excellent place to stay! We hope to back again.

Our family stayed three nights in this vacation rental in May, 2011. I would say it was a very pleasant stay. We have six people, my wife and I with parents from both sides. The house was very clean and neat. Everything we can possibly need can be found there. Especially they have more than 6 snorkeling gears, and many other beach gears such as beachboards, beach chairs, etc. The location was quite nice, right on alii drive, and 5 minutes driving from all the popular restaurants on alii drive. Since our parents came with us, we cooked a few meals ourselves and we found all the necessary cooking/dining stuffs in the house. The Ocean view was great.

Myself, wife, and our favorite couple stayed in this condo from November 10-15. We were in town for a wedding. From beginning to end this was a great place to stay. Everything was as advertised. Chuck at alohoCondos was great to work with, from my first inquiry to final booking, to sending me all instructions and directions from the airport, he was great. He responded to my emails very prompt, and was very courteous. When my group first entered the condo our jaws hit the ground. It was very spacious, very clean, and very updated, just as advertised. The view of the ocean from the first floor lanai, and upstairs lanai was amazing. Walked to the shopping center for groceries, and the beach for snorkeling. The condo provided everything we needed, snorkeling equipment, coolers, pots pans for all types of cooking, all the amenities of home. All we had to do was buy some food items, there were already seasonings in the cabinets. We used the pool several time during our stay, as well as the grill. And the locals in the complex were very nice to talk to and very welcoming. It was nice to be able to wash our own cloths, and all washing detergent was provided. We did not need for anything, it was truly a stress free vacation. I have been recommending this condo to all my friends, family and coworkers. So, whoever reads this review, book a-4 and you will not be disappointed. I don't have one thing to complain about. Mahalo Nui Loa, Chet

My family and I recently returned from our trip to the Big Island and we truly could not have asked for better accomodations during our stay. The location is perfect for short treks to the nearby beaches as well as stocking up at the marketplace. Everything (and more) is supplied in this condo. The snorkel gear, boogie boards and beach towels were much appreciated and used daily by our family. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals...the coffee grinder was an added plus for the two in our family who prefer whole bean coffee in the morning. The layout was perfect for us, we didn't feel cramped and everyone had plenty of space. Breakfasts on the lanai were a morning ritual...the view of the ocean is a reminder that you truly are in paradise! I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone visiting the Big Island!

These units are great for families. There are spacious common areas for everyone to gather, and at the end of the day, each party can relax in their own private bedroom. The units are modern, comfortable, well-furnished, and well-maintained inside and out. There is wireless access so you can look up maps, restaurants, find things to do, etc. The location is great with a nice beach within walking distance, small strip mall just up the block (supermarket, restaurants), and larger malls (Costco, Walmart, Safeway) about 15 mins away. This is actually our 2nd time at the Na Hale O Keauhou complex (stayed in L4 in 2007), and I've recommended the resort to friends and family for all the above reasons. The booking process was simple and straightforward, with appropriate email confirmation and follow up. Specific feedback on unit A4: Pros - Bamboo floors are absolutely beautiful! - AC & fans worked well. We loved coming back to a cool home after a hot & humid day out. - King bed in 2nd bedroom (L4 had queen bed). - Ottomans as coffee table were great for a toddler learning to walk. - Making the gate/garage opener available was a very nice touch, so we didn't have to key in the code each time or open the garage door from the inside of the home. - Some snorkels, beach equipment, and coolers available for use - Easy walk to the pool - Well-stocked kitchen with all kinds of dinnerware, tools, small appliances, etc. - The right amount of supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, garbage bags, etc.) to last a family of 6 for a week Cons - Unit A is closest to the road. There's not much traffic so noise is imperceptible, but you can definitely *see* the road from the lanais. (See pics of the unit on website) - No BBQ on lanai. :( Because of the view of the road & no bbq on lanai, we did not eat outdoors. We really enjoyed eating outdoors when we stayed in L4. - Would have been great to have a couple more dishtowels (there were 2).

The $250 security deposit was processed as a credit card authorization only. The checkout report was fine and no actual charges were processed.

We stayed in Na Hale O Keauhou Townhome a-4 over Christmas 2008 and loved every minute. Many people call their condos "luxury" but that is often a stretch. This was truely a luxury condo in every sense of the word. While not on the ocean the view is great and you are with easy driving distance to most of the parts of the Big Island you would want to visit (except for Kilauea or Hilo of course). I would higly recommend this property, especially if you want to get away from the crowds you find at many of the large resort complexes.

We stayed in this unit last fall and fell in love with the whole property. This unit was very nicely decorated and located at the top of a hill so we could see the water, watching ships anchor in the Kona bay, sail boats and kayaks stream across the water. A shopping center up the hill was nice for quick access to groceries, dining out, post office as well as watching a cat colony the community feeds. It's located on the south side of Kona on the main street, so you get a bit of head start going south to see the sights or can drive down the main street from the south having easy access to the public beach less than a mile away and the shops further north in town. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was great and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and serving pieces. We did entertain and the unit accommodated the event beautifully. The pool area was well maintained and we found ourselves the only ones in there early in the morning and evening. All in all the whole property was quiet and well maintained. It was nice to immerse ourselves in the Big Island on our terms and should we have the opportunity to return, we would definately check on availability of this unit or one like it.

The pool, bar-b-que and workout facilities were located close by and were easy to use. In fact there were very few people using these facitlites so it did not even feel like we were sharing them. The beach was a short walk away as was the grocery store and other shops. This is a terrific location! This is a beautiful property and is the best of any property we have stayed at on the Big Island. Thank you!

We greatly enjoyed staying at this condo. It is nicely decorated, and it is very large and spacious for how much it costs; it really is a great value! The location is a little farther down ali'i, so it is not really close to the "strip," but I rather like it this way. When we got to the development, we were greeted by a retiree walking his dog. This makes me think the condo development is more calm and probably more family oriented. The location is very close to Long's Drugs and to the grocery store. There is really easy access to the highway also. When you walk into the door, there is an open kitchen on the left and the living room is in front of you. You can also see sliding doors, which open up to a lanai that has a nice view of the ocean. Usually in Hawaii, when they say ocean view, you're lucky to get a peek of a sliver of ocean, but that's not the case here. My parents stayed in the only downstairs bedroom, which has the queen bed because they do not like to climb stairs. My sister stayed in the master bedroom with her son because it has a garden tub in addition to a shower. (The kid likes to take baths.) I stayed in the room with the two twin beds. The place was very clean and comfortable. We caught up with the caretakers when we checked in, and they seemed to be doing a thorough job. Even the towels were soft and smelled good--something you don't seem to get from most hotels/motels. I would stay here again. It felt like home. The only complaint was from my mom who wished they had newer non-stick pans or a stainless steel pan to cook with. Also, make sure not to leave any dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It could attract bugs.

Hello, My family and I recently stayed at this townhome for our vacation. We loved the place. It's a very new unit with nice amenities. The kitchen is awesome with granite countertops and nice tile floors throughout the unit. The unit is very close to each other and many people had their windows open for the cool breeze. As a result, any conversations we had or our neighbors had we heard them all. Our lanai is about three feet from our neighbor kitchen. So when we dine in the lanai area, our neighbor can see us dining and we can hear them cookings. We wish for a little bit more privacy.

The website pictures looked wonderful but looks can be deceiving. Not in this case. It was like staying in a 5 star hotel without elevators. It felt homey and personal and someone obviously put a lot of thought into the details. The home was beautifully appointed and super clean. Our only mild disappointment was the outside patio which was sparsely furnished and without a barbecue. The close proximity to grocery shopping was an added bonus. We had a fun time and would recommend this condo highly.

Kona is Lovely! from Calgary, AB, Canada on 01/05/2012 said:
The view from the second floor lanai was beautiful, but this condo seemed overlooked. The dingy white walls were marked up and dented, the white carpet had large dark stains, and the decor/furnishings were spartan and dated. The master bed squeaked like crazy if you so much as bumped it walking by. There were few of the sundries you might expect (for example, no Kleenex, hair dryer, high chair, dryer sheets, Saran Wrap, etc.). Old mismatched towels and dishes, a few random pieces of tupperware that may or may not have lids, and broken blinds both on the main floor and the master bedroom (you are left a broken blind rod to operate them with, handily labelled "use this stick to close blinds"). There were also two leak issues which the owner has since assured me have been fixed. Even though I paid $145 for cleaning, I received a note from the housekeeper instructing me to change over the laundry and fold/put it away. (I'm not lazy, but for that exorbitant price I don't think I should have been doing the work - or dealing with somebody's used Breathe-Right Strips stuck to the bathroom carpet!) I also had an issue with the being charged more than the on-line calendar price due to an issue with their automated billing system; the owner did eventually get me a refund but it took two months and several emails. Please note the owner was nice and did what he could to help, even called me directly, and had the housekeeper arrange a convenient time with me before I arrived. The condo was conveniently located close to Long's Drugs, a grocery store and other shops, and the landscaping was beautiful. Pool and workout room were very nice and kept clean. The complex was well maintained and quiet. The condo is OK to stay in, but I don't want others to be surprised at the condition of the condo and it's contents as I was. 6 out of 10.
Manager response:
The condo was overlooked but Id like to introduce Ben & Hope Hill, were the proud new owners as of December 27, 2011. The carpet has been professionally cleaned, the screws on the master bedroom have been tightened and the condo is now fully stocked with sundries and new towels plus more! New blinds are now ordered. The condo has a new property manager and housekeeper. Keep an eye on this condo and youll be pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to welcoming you on your future visits.

I would suggest having a barbeque at the unit or having the condo association purchase a new one.

It was my first trip to Big Island with my husband and 18-year old. I'm really happy I found Na Hale O Keauhou C2 through alohacondos.com and flipkey. C2 was worth the price and more! I emailed and also spoke to Dr. Tim personally. He was very responsive to all my questions and allowed a late checkout as my departure flight was 840 p.m. The 2BR unit was really clean (no ants or other pests!), spacious, with ensuite bathrooms. Utensils, plates and cooking pans were average quality. One of my favorite thing to do was sit in the lanai and watch the gorgeous sunset. Ceiling fans in the rooms made use of the a/C unnecessary. I suggest installation of blinds on the bathroom and BR windows (because of the building's design (sort of L shaped) from a certain angle, you could see through to the master BR from the other BR window that faces the master BR window). The shopping center next door includes KTa Market (also carries some local produce, fresh fish and beef). The center has a farmer's market on Saturdays. The complex is within walking distance to Keauhou Bay where several snorkeling and water adventures leave from. Keauhou is only about 4 miles away from Kona if you want to visit Costco, Walmart, Safeway, and a farmer's market open Tue to Sun. The complex is very quiet at night with very few full-time residents so anyone seeking nightlife would have to drive out to Kona. I would definitely recommend staying at C2!

This was a great location to start your Big Island vacation. Only 25 minute drive to the best beach on the island and 25 minutes to best snorkeling. You can walk to a nearby shopping center that has all your other needs met: grocery store, movie theater, pharmacy, and a few decent restaurants if you want to be low key. The condo itself is very roomy and well maintained. Despite a few days when the weather was warmer, for the most part we didn't need to more than the ceiling fans and the breeze from the two porches to keep us cool. The view was also priceless. It does not sit right on the beach, but we liked the quiet away from the crowds in town.

This truly was the best value I've ever received for a vacation stay. The entire place was very clean, including the bathrooms, which makes all the difference in comfort. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook and eat in if we wanted to. Fantastic view of the ocean, and this particular unit was right across the way from the exercise room, community kitchen, and pool/jacuzzi. Really quiet community (at least during my stay). Shopping center for groceries was within walking distance. The owner was very responsive to any questions I had before, during, and after my stay. I only stayed here for with my botfriend, but the place is plenty spacious for 4. The only complaint I have is the squeaky bed in the master bedroom and no wi-fi access. But without a doubt, I would stay here again if I go back to Kona.

Overall the condo was very good. A couple of things that would have made it great... shower in the master bath had barely any water flowing from it and it took several days to figure out how to get warm water out of it (Perhaps a note in the info packet would have been helpful). Also, the toilets were not as clean as they should have been. It was apparent that no-one had cleaned under the seats. Other than that, we appreciated our stay there. Thanks
Manager response:
Aloha Mountain folks,
Thanks for the plus 4 rating on our beautiful condo at C2. Yes, we want it to be great for you and all our guests so I've taken your feedback to heart! Although no one has ever mentioned the difficulty with the shower faucet handle or any problems with the toilet hygiene before, I'm implementing an instructional note on the shower usage so that the guests will be assured of hot streaming showers and eliminate the chance of any frustration with that issue. although we've never had a complaint on toilet cleanliness I've added that specifically to the cleaning crews checklist to ensure that it will always be top-notch in the future.
Thanks again, (mahalo)
sending you warm aloha, Dr. Tim

We found this condo to be nice, with a few qualifications. Positives: great location, lots of space, near pool and beaches, comfortable bed, garage (great when arriving in drenching rain), washer/dryer, decent lighting, lanai/porch on each level, good closet space, full size refrigerator, and again, good location very near groceries and Long's Drugs and also about 1/4 mile from terrific snorkeling. Negatives: missing slats in blinds in living room and bedroom; broken pull-rod on living room blinds; dirty blender; very gross and rusty manual can opener; steep $15 per day charge for possible hour or so per day use a/C, but high and inaccessible windows left open by the cleaning crew; cleaning crew showing up a day early; excessive $145 cleaning fee...not worth it since we found hairs in the sink and pieces of cellophane wrappers about 6 inches under the edge of the bed; no hair dryer. We would gladly stay in this complex again, but sure would have felt better without the "nickel and dime" AC and cleaning fees, plus the areas of lack of upkeep in this particular unit.

We only stayed three nights but we were very pleased with the condo. The ocean views are magnificant! We had use of the garage which I did not expect. This was good on the evening when we returned to the condo in a downpour. The pool is very convenient to the condo and very nice. I only have a couple of suggestions. The living room furniture was not very comfortable. The futon style couch was made for sleeping and not lounging. Also, there seems to be some plumbing problems. I had to unclog the master toilet twice, the powder toilet flushed slowly, and the master shower door leaks water all over the bathroom floor unless you're very careful and point the shower head towards the side wall.
Manager response:
Aloha Steven. Yes, the ocean views are magnificent! And the attached garage is very convenient. Your suggestions are appreciated. The addition of a large leatherette easy boy reclining captains chair in the living room, has been appreciated our guests, especially as it looks out over the lawn and ocean. The large queen-size tropical rattan futon couch easily seats three for viewing the television in the living room. As a sleeper it folds out into a full queen bed, which can be used as a comfortable bed for an extra guest or children. Thanks for your feedback on the toilet. No one had ever mentioned that as a problem, so I'm having our repair man correct that and the shower gasket. Thanks for the five-star rating!

Our overall experience at Na Hale O Keauhou was fantastic. We stayed 9 nights and were sad to leave. Prior to our arrival, the owner of C-2, Tim Hendlin provided us with very clear driving instructions of how to get from the airport to the townhouse. When we arrived, waiting for us was a welcoming gift of macadamia nuts. A nice touch. The complex is very well maintained. The grounds were immaculate, the pool and area around were spotless, and the Weber BBQ was in good working order. Na Hale O Keauhou seems to be a well managed facility. Charlie, the maintenance guy was friendly and always was around when needed. The unit itself was great. Clean and spacious with all the comforts of home. The ocean view from the lanais was gorgeous. There wasn't anything we didn't like about the townhouse. Although a few minor issues - no hairdryer, minimal BBQ tools (could uses a metal spatula and longer tongs), garage remote didn't work. I would stay here again and would recommend it to my family and friends.

We've stayed several times near Kailua village at Kona-by-the-Sea and Royal Sea Cliff. This 2-story townhouse had more room, great ocean views on 2 lanai's, a pool with jaccuzzi, and nearby access to popular snorkling beach - at a much better price. Perfect for those who like to cook a few meals at home. Closest access to quality golf for those so inclined. Small shopping center with walking distance includes a full grocery, drug store, bar, a few restaurants, and a 6-screen movie theater. Even the skies were slightly better south of Kona in Keauhou: less vog creeps down from Hualalai mountain in the afternoons. Don't worry, there's still plenty of sun to tan your hide. If you want to dine out often in Kailua, plan to drive for 10 minutes on a highway instead of 3 on a busy street. Like with all townhomes, hotels, and condos, pray for quiet neighbors - like we had.

Our vacation at Nhok H-6 was wonderful. It definitely exceeded our expectations. When we stepped into the house, we felt a Hawaiian heartwarming welcome. The entire unit was very clean, well furnished and organized. There were Hawaiian pictures and quilt decorations on the walls. The unit is located at the end of the road so it was very quiet and peaceful too. Even though it is townhouse, we had privacy and it was so comfortable. On our first night there, we grabbed beachtowels and the key to the pool near the main entrance then walked to the pool, swam while watching the stars and relaxed in the hot tub. One day we headed out to beautiful Hapuna Beach, and were glad that the owners provided plenty of extra beach towels, several mats, a cooler, bodyboards, floats, childrens beach toys etc. After we came back, we were able to use the laundry machine and (they provided the detergent) so it was easy to wash our swimsuits for next day. The kitchen was very well equipped for our needs of cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner and we could even enjoy a BBQ on the lanai. There is a shopping mall with a supermarket conveniently located just above the townhouse. In the master bedroom, there is a spacious walk-in shower and separate soaking tub. We enjoyed the soaking tub with bath salts we had brought. There were flowers and candle decorations to make the atmosphere feel so relaxed and luxurious. There is also a spacious walk-in closet next to bathroom. Each room has nice wooden dressers for enough?storage. The house was well stocked with everything we need. We felt so blessed with the aloha spirit and our vacation was so unforgettable. Thank you for sharing your lovely house and we will definitely come back.

We spent a week at Unit H-6. Some items are simply facts about the location of the unit whereas others are things the owners could make better. Positive points: The place was clean. The kitchen was spotless; the beds all made perfectly, no dust anywhere. The carpets were cleaned. The place was sufficiently furnished for 6 people - 3 bedrooms, dining table for 6, enough dishes and silverware, etc. The master bed was very comfortable (did not try any of the others). It is a short walk to the community pool, no need to take the car. The garage enters right into the condo so if it is raining, it is easy to bring in groceries. The complex location is great if you want to stay in Kailua-Kona and do day trips heading south or to Volcano. Negative points: There were no beach towels - we found boogie boards and young children's sand toys, but no towels, beach chairs or even a cooler. The master bath has 2 sinks: two soap dishes would be nice (we used one from another bathroom). There was no key provided to the on-site pool. Luckily the other renters were nice enough to open the locked gate. The kitchen implements were minimal. If you want to cook a simple meal occasionally and eat out a lot, it is sufficient. We ate in all meals but one. The knives were all dull. The left-over containers did not all have lids. Insufficient to cook for 6 adults all week. No shampoo or conditioner: I have not stayed at a hotel, timeshare, B&B;, cruise ship, or other condo rental where these items were not provided. Come on, please provide these items. The lanai is tiny! For 6, we would not all fit barbequing and eating on the lanai. The ocean view is best seen by walking across the grass by the next door neighbour's spot. There was a little laundry detergent and no fabric softener for the washing machine. The place is basically sterile. It just doesn't have a feel to it that says it is a loved place. It is a rental and that is all. There is no Hawaiian charm.

We will definitely recommend this unit to family and friends and would love to return soon. One problem --- the keypad to enter the front gate of the resort did not seem to work properly. We always had to enter the code several times before the gate opened.

We had a large group/family that stayed in the condo for 5 days after a week in Honolulu. This was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki Beach. We loved the location; close enought to enjoy things in Kona, quiet, beautiful landscaping, and a very family friendly pool area. The condo was clean and well stocked. We would definitely recommend it.

Pleasantly appointed 3/3 Condo, convenient to shopping, beaches, restaurants!! Clean with all supplies. Good roadway access and plenty of parking. Would suggest having a vegetable peeler though. Otherwise, it appeared that we had all the kitchen stuff. Would not hesitate to recommend this condo to any of our friends. One of the dining chair arms was loose but when we mentioned this & need for more paper good, there was immediate response from the manager. Great service!!!

This visit was the second time we have stayed at Na Hale O Keauhou, and our first stay in Townhome I-6. I grew-up on the Big Island, and in the many years that my husband and I have visited my family there, this is our favorite complex. It is reasonably priced, clean, and very comfortable. We now have two young children, so we particularly enjoyed this unit, due to its family friendly nature with a cute bunk room, plenty of kids books, crayons, beach/pool stuff, etc.. We also cook in a lot and host family when we visit, and the house was comfortably laid out for entertaining, and the kitchen was well equipped. My 6'+ husband would have liked a king size bed in the master bedroom, and we had some problems with the remotes and DVD players. But, if those were our biggest complaints...we will certainly stay there again, and again!

We stayed in Na Hale Townhouse I-6 for 7 days. It was immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, well equipped and conveniently located. The community is gated with code entry. It is 1 minute to the Keauhou shopping center where you find grocery, drug store, restaurants, post office and, yes! urgent care. The home is well stocked with everything I can possibly need, incl. beach chairs, umbrella, diving boards, and children's books and games. The servie is first class, too. Booking online is smooth. The second day of our stay, we needed help with high speed internet. I made one phone call and Bruce was there within 10 minutes. All in all, this was a perfect vacation home. I highly recommend it to anybody who visits the Big Island.

We stayed at J-2 in the Na Hale complex, and it made for a great trip. We found a kitchen that was nicely furnished so that we could prepare meals- the unit itself is spacious, modern, and comfortable. We found it to be a bit noisy in the mornings-so if you want to sleep in, probably not your unit- but if like us, you are up early for the next adventure-it is not an issue. The unit comes with all you want inside-and is walking distance to market or beaches, and easy access for the main road to town or points south The reson we ended up staying at this unit versus another condo was the owner- He responded to our email request for info promptly--as a matter of fact, we never did get any reply from 2 other condos listed on line that we contacted. We hope to stay here again !

We spent much of out time at the beach...Magic Sands is awesome, but is called Magic because from time to time it disappears, then reappears. It was with us our entire trip and we loved it. It's a 10 minute drive and easy to ride bikes to as well. The gated complex was nearly empty so I could get in my morning work-outs easily and we had the pool to ourselves.

We truly enjoyed our stay in J-2. It is clear that the owners have spent time thinking about how to make the renters' experience a good one. The views from the patio (a bit of the ocean and a golf course) and the MB deck (full view of the ocean) were wonderful. I am a bit of a neat freak and the unit was very clean. I was especially appreciative of the fact that many basics had been left at the unit for us to use. No need to buy salt and pepper. The kitchen was fully equipped making cooking a breeze. We were sad that we did not have more time to spend.

We loved this condo! It had everything we wanted and everything was in great condition. We particularly enjoyed using the well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. We took advantage of the beach chairs and towels almost every day when we visited the nearby fabulous snorkling beach. Make sure to visit the Sat farmer's market at the Keauhou shopping center and pick up some freshly caught ono for the grill: we recommend a passion fruit marinade! The beds were comfy, there were books to read (including field guides to the exotic birds and fishes), and we could plug in our ipod and listen to our favorite music while lounging on on the couch drinking freshly ground complimentary Kona coffee. What could be better? Just wish we could have stayed longer...

I spent many hours researching lodging for our Hawaiian vacation. We weren't interested in hotels and Kona condos are a dime a dozen. When I found the Na Hale O Keauhou townhome J-2, I was curious. It looked good in the pictures and the price was right but would it live up to our expectations? I can honestly say that J-2 exceeded our every expectation. We arrived to a huge gift basket on the doorstep filled with local goodies. We opened the front door to find a beautifully appointed home with every amenity you could want. Two comfortable outdoor sitting areas provided the perfect place to watch the ocean and the sunset. The pool was only steps away and although shared with the community it was rarely busy and always inviting. And, although not located directly on the ocean the nearest beach, and best snorkeling on the island, is only a 10 minute walk (or 3-minute drive) down the road. To welcome their guests the Owners provided an excellent personal guide to the island including their recommendations on where to eat, snorkel, hike, etc. And their recommendations are spot on. We enjoyed excellent meals and wonderful beaches. And since they knew their guests would be spending time at the beach there was a selection of beach and snorkel gear to borrow along with a large stockpile of beach towels. I would classify this home as Luxury accommodations as we found it nicer than most 5-star hotels. Although the home is used by a continuous flow of guests it was exceptionally clean and left us feeling as if we had walked into a brand new model home. The only improvement I might suggest, and keep in mind this is a personal preference, is a king size bed. My hubby and I are both very tall people over 6-ft and a king size make all the difference. But we made do with some romantic cuddling in the very comfortable queen positioned with a view of the ocean. Our stay at J-2 was exceptional and I don't hesitate recommending it. We hope to return again soon ourselves.

We were completely delighted with this condo. It was great to be so close to the pool since the kids wanted to swim every day. The condo has a highchair, crib, pack-n-play and baby gate as well as beach toys for kids. The decor is very classy and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and in a great location. We took advantage of the free cultural events at the Keauhou Shopping Center just minutes away. We had a minor issue when we first arrived but it was taken care of immediately. Also, we forgot some items when we left so we contacted the owner and he arranged to have them sent to us asap. So, not only is the condo wonderful but so is the owner. We can't imagine staying anywhere else on our next trip to the Big Island.

We traveled to Maui about six months prior to this trip, and spent on a 1 bedroom condo what this 2 bd condo cost. We were delighted at the amazing deal in Maui, so you can imagine our shock when finding this spot!! We enjoyed the pool nearly every day, and had many a lunch & dinner on our patio. I cannot recommend this spot more highly...while it isn't located directly on the beach, it was 10-15 minutes walking distance or 2-3 minutes driving distance from several beaches.

There is a shopping centre close by plus a trolley bus that goes into town. Kona is a terrific little town. I also heard the tour bus trip is great. There's lots of books and magazines about the island in the twnhse. The best one to use is one we had also brought with us..Big Island Revealed.(The blue book) Great reviews. After 17 days in this beautiful condo it was hard to leave. It really felt like home! From the cozy living room to the fully stocked kitchen to the comfy bedrooms, it has everything one could desire in a vacation home. The BBQ on the lower lanai was handy for nightly grilling, and the upper lanai was a peaceful place to read a book, take an afternoon nap, and watch the Kona sunsets. It was also great to have access to the garage to store golf clubs, travel bags, etc. The only downside to this unit is a bit of "traffic" noise as the residents in the lower buildings leave for work in the mornings. It was a great excuse to get up and go for an early morning walk. It certainly wouldn't stop us from staying here again. We thoroughly enjoyed Nanealoa. I guess the title says it all....having stayed in J2 on three different occasions for a total of 13 weeks it really feels like home. The gift basket upon arrival is always much appreciated. One of my favourite places in the townhouse is the lanai off the master bedroom, a great place to read and relax on the comfortable chaises, also a wonderful place to appreciate the ocean view and the incredible sunsets. The outdoor patio furniture on the ground floor lanai is very comfortable too, a great place to have meals and make use of the BBQ. The proximity of the Keauhou shopping centre is very convenient, just a short walk and includes a supermarket, drug store, post office, several restaurants, movie theatre etc. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is also a good stock of supplies such as paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, ziploc and garbage bags etc. Having a remote on one of the house keys was very handy, thus avoiding the need to key in a code every time you enter the complex. The grounds are very well maintained and managed. Finally, the owner, Bob Blomberg is a pleasure to deal with, very accessible and always responds promptly when making contact with him. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Very clean - had everything that one could want. In fact, more than we needed. The snorkel beach was so close (about 10 min on foot), we didn't use the pool. Didn't use the BBQ either, but used the kitchen extensively (can't offer any advice on local restaurants). Nice view, especially from the master bedroom lanai. Convenient to the grocery store (walkable if you don't mind the hill). Fairly new, in great condition and well appointed. Some fairly minor disappointments: the bed was too hard for my taste; to get a good picture on the downstairs TV (from cable), you had to make sure that the DVD player was powered off; the crew that maintains the grounds does a good job, but be prepared for the "2 cycle (engine) symphony" 3 days during the week; some residents use their lanais for entering / exting their units, meaning there may well be foot traffic by your lanai (spooked the wife); the burnt wood smell from the fire up the mountain permeated the air every night. Overall, enjoyed my stay, would consider renting again.

My husband and I stayed in Unit J2 for 15 nights in October. The condo was absolutely wonderful, exactly like the pictures on the website - very tastefully decorated and fitted out with all the mod cons (it was like staying in a show home)! Thank you for the welcome basket on arrival. Cooking in the kitchen was such a pleasure - it had every utensil you could possibly want for. There were also beach chairs/boogie boards/snorkel equipment etc in the garage for use when visiting the beaches. Also, having laundry facilities inside the condo and a barbecue on the lanai was definitely a bonus. The gated complex was very quiet, which suited us. The pool area was beautiful and the grounds were very well maintained. It is situated very close, just a little way down the hill, from the Keauhou shopping centre where we used to go the KTA supermarket for our daily newspaper and groceries and which was very reasonably priced (for Hawaii)! Making reservations for Unit J2 via Aloha Condos was very simple and straightforward and handled efficiently by Bob and Judy(the owners). They were very helpful and emailed the guestbook which contained useful information on both the condo and the island, which assisted in the planning of our vacation. They also advised us on the best options when shopping for groceries, which we were very grateful for. In summary, our vacation at Unit J2 and the Na Hale O Keauhou complex was brilliant and we are hopefully looking to return again this year.

My husband and I stayed at the Hale Nanealoa townhome in September of 2006. Let me first preface this review that I am very picky about where I stay on vacations. I have stayed through the gamut of different types of accommodations in my life, from motel to luxury. As I get older, my pickiness has increased and I only like to stay at very nice properties. This property is up in the 5 star range and is one of the best where I have stayed. Everything was new and clean and stylish. There was NO white "cheesy" lawn furniture that I have seen at other Hawaiian properties, nor was there the wear and tear typically seen in other condos in Hawaii. The master bathroom is something you would only get at a five or six star hotel and it was very large. I have stayed on nearly all islands in the Hawaiian chain, and this place has been the best. The view was very nice and the pool quiet and relaxing. The grounds were also well maintained. Everything was upscale here. I very much appreciated the gift basket for our wedding anniversary after I was asked on their website if we were going for a special occasion. The owners were very professional and concerned that we had a good time and everything we needed. (This has not been the case at other Hawaiian properties that I have stayed). The price was excellent for the value of this vacation home. I highly recommend Hale Nanealoa.

The condo was in a very nice location, close to shopping and a very good snorkel beach. However, the condo was in pretty poor condition when we arrived. First, the condo was overrun with sugar ants due to a container of sugar left on the counter. Even after Terminex came we still had a significant amount of ants throughout the condo. Also, the sliding glass door latch in the living room was broken and would never lock and one side of the blinds on the sliding glass door was broken. The vents and fans were covered in a thick layer of dust so bad that we couldn't keep them on because of all the dust that filled the room. In addition, the refrigerator door handle came off, which we fixed, and the upstairs master bedroom toilet was broken when we arrived, which we also fixed. The toilet in the second bathroom upstairs also constantly ran throughout our stay.

This condo is really nice and well furnished! beach towels, chairs, coolers and boogie boards were great! only problem was the first afternoon the ceiling fan in the TV room fell off and almost hit my daughter. Response from both the owner and the maintenance guy (Richard) were really bad! I ended up removing and fixing the fan myself! But after this event the 2 weeks were really great and I would stay here again.
Manager response:
We are happy to hear that this guest enjoyed our Island Home and says they would stay there again. We regret that the ceiling fan incident occurred but feel we handled the situation as quickly and favorably to the guest as possible. Our maintenance person was not on site when this situation occurred because the guest arrived 3-4 hours early which was in violation of the Rental Agreement. As a result the maintenance person was not prepared to handle a problem of this nature due to the guests unauthorized early arrival. That said, the owner contacted the maintenance person immediately and had someone at the property as soon as the maintenance person could get back to the property. This was all communicated back to the guest so that they knew exactly what was going on. This problem was caused by a faulty installation by the contractor that built the property.
As for fixing the problem himself, all the guest did was separate two dead touching wires in the ceiling and turn the breaker back on. A short time later when the maintenance person arrived he capped the wires and removed the damaged fan from the property. This all occurred within a time span of a few hours, hardly the bad response mentioned. We also asked the guest if they would like the fan replaced immediately and they asked that we not replace it until after they had gone home.

We have stayed in the complex before in other units this townhome condo comples. Aloha condo's is simple and hassle free. Unit L-4 is beautiful 3 bedroom with a single attached garage and has more that enough space for a large family, in our case tons of space for two of us. The complex and the location of this unit is quite, has well maintained grounds and the pool area fitnes center is 1st class. The complex was built in 2006 and is the newest and nicest townhouse style complex on the Big Island in town you will find. Located in one of the best areas as well. Ocean views, and a 10 min walk away from some of the best snorkeling the island has to offer. White sand beach ( Magic Sands is a short 10 min drive, shopping and your local grocery store KTA a 2 min drive. The complex is so quite most of the time you feel like the only one there and the location is one of the best period. The BBQ on the Lani is a bonus as other units do not have one, there is one you can use in the common area but, it's not ideal as you have to haul everything you need to pool area. L-4 is well equiped but, not like some other units and you would never notice if you have not rented other units. Small things are missing which other units have, and the dishwasher should be replaced or repaired as it does not clean very well. This is minor and the home is beautiful.

We enjoyed L-4 unit very much. The only drawback was that there was some miscommunication about the date of our arrival, and they forgot to activate the a/c for us on the first night, but a phone call the next day to the owner took care of the matter in no time, with great responsiveness. In general, Rick, the owner, is great to work with, and very flexible and kind. The condo was very clean, comfortable and pleasant. The place is beautifully decorated, and well equipped, even including buckets and picnic chairs for the beach, which was great. The kitchen has everything it needs, and is very pleasant to cook in. Everything is new and well maintained. In terms of tips for the owners, I would think of two small things: 1. have a complementary baby/toddler crib handy. 2. replace the master bathroom shower head with one that can switch between modes. Other than that, we loved everything about it (and the swimming pool was also fun). Also, the nearby neighborhood shopping center is very useful, as well as the owners' recommendations about how to prepare for your visit (be sure to read in advance).

This condo's location is so close to grocery stores, movie theater, restaurants and a great snorkeling beach, you really only need the car for Big Island excursions such as volcano, Mauna Kea observatory, etc. We used our car to go to boogie-boarding beaches but were otherwise content to just stay near the place. The place itself was very comfortable for the six of us. Plenty of fans to move air around, and we found that at night colder air would come down the mountain and help us sleep without A/C. All of the furnishings were comfortable. The high-speed Internet connection is faster than mine at home. There is enough beach toys and boogie-boards for everyone -- although I suggest investing in your own snorkel gear.

This was the best family vacation we have ever had! I'm really not exaggerating. Rick's condo was spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay with 3 generations sharing the unit (5 people). I can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again! I really want to know what brand the master mattress is because we had the best sleeps. Rick was very courteous and professional. It was really nice to have the recommended reading about the Big Island in advance to help plan our stay. The townhouse complex is quiet and close to Kona with a safe, family feeling. The fitness room and pool area is well maintained and nice to use. You are a quick walk to groceries and basic shopping as well as the shuttle that will run you right into Kona. It's still a good idea to rent a car to explore the island properly. Aside from revisiting the beach we were married on 10 years ago, snorkeling, showing the kids Volcano National Park, seeing dolphins and a variety of fish, our top thing was barbequing on the lanai while sipping Mai Tais and watching the sunset. Our children enjoyed the small lawn behind the unit. They had a chance to run a bit as well as look for geckos and wild cats. Our experience at this townhouse was fabulous. We have nothing even slightly negative to share with you about this property. Mahalo Rick! We truly hope to be back soon.

The condo itself was beautiful, so wonderfully appointed and the owners thought of everything - from recommendations for dinner/activities, to the great beach towels, chairs and cooler! The advance info they provided was so helpful and they even checked on us when it looked like the hurricane was heading our way! THe location was ideal, close to the shopping but away from hustle and bustle! We loved Ali drive, especially Magic Sands beach (GREAT boogie boarding!). We would/will return to the Big Island and will plan our trip around the availablility of Na Hale L-4!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful townhouse with our two children. It was even better than the pictures. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. Not only is it beautiful, it is very comfortable. The bedding and linen is nicer than most 5 star hotels. My husband and I enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean from the balcony off our bedroom. While we were on the Big Island, they were expecting a direct hit from a hurricane. Parks, attractions and stores were closed for two days. While the hurricane never hit land, there were some severe storms. We enjoyed watching movies curled up on the cozy sofa and played games provided in the townhouse. Staying here salvaged our vacation. The owner called before and after the storm to check on us. We have traded our timeshare for condo's in Hawaii before, but this is far better than any timeshare rental. The feel is not that of a rental but an upscale house. The unit is a short walk from the pool and close to shops, dining and snorkeling trips. For as much money as a hotel room, you can stay in a luxurious home.

We had a wonderful time on the island and this was a great property. The owners even provide beach towels and toys for the kids! A number of lcoal guides, restaurant menus, and suggestions were provided by the owners, which was a very nice touch. With 4 kids it is important to have enough space for everyone. It was nice to have enough space to let everyone unwind at their own pace and with their own space. The unit had wireless internet access which was great for making reservations, checking on the office, etc. The view is wonderful and the pictures speak for themselves. This is a great location, just far enough from the downtown so as not to be too hectic, but close enough not to feel completely isolated. Grocery store, restaurants, movie theater, shopping, etc. is within a 2 minute drive. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed staying here.

From the great lengths the owners went to to ensure you had lots of information on the services they provide in the condo and surrounding areas, to the equipment supplied - need I say, our stay was MAGIC! We were within walking distance from the shopping centre and about 10 minutes from Kona. We loved the space that the condo provided that we were due to stay for 7 nights and extended our stay to 10 days which allowed us more time to spend on this beautiful island. We would definitely recommend Rick and the L4 condo - what you see online is what you get - AND MORE, they come highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!

As long-time Hawaii visitors I speak from experience when I say this condo is exceptional. It is beautifully decorated, has a well equipped kitchen and a nice grill which makes eating on the deck fantastic. We often bought fish at the market and grilled it while watching the gorgeous sunsets. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nicely furnished and the master bath is huge. The condo complex is only five years old and is meticulously cared for. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful pool and exercise area which are very near the condo. There is a shopping mall with a nice grocery store within walking distance and a trolley that goes into downtown Kona several times a day. For us, however, one the best things about Na Hale O'Keauhou is that it is only a mile or so from the Kona Country Club which has 27 holes of really fun and scenic golf.

After looking at numerous properties, we needed to find a place for my husband and I, our single son, and our married son, daughter-in-law and two children. We were looking for a three-bedroom place in Kona near the ocean. This place fit us to a T. There are two bedrooms perfect for two couples, and a third bedroom with two twins - perfect for kids; all excellently decorated making you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel. Having laundry upstairs was so helpful! The downstairs had two seating areas, and although there was a beautiful dining room table, we found ourselves sitting outside on the patio for every meal. The kitchen was well appointed. The refrigerator was clean when we arrived. Having a few beach chairs and boogie boards were great for the kids. Plus, the owner left a book that guides you around the island which we used every single day. Overall, our experience was a ten out of ten. The owner answered all of our questions promptly. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting the "Hawaii" experience.

Condo, furnishings, and amenities were first class. The appliances and property are well maintained and very comfortable. Open screened ventilation was more than adequate to keep the rooms comforatble without using the airconditioner and barbeque was very handy versus going to the pool to use the community grill. Great location and easy walking to Keauhou shopping center or downtown Kailua-Kona. Gated facility provided an additional level of comfort and property manager checked several times to make sure everything was okay. Neighbors in L-5 are nice and we enjoyed visiting with them, but she criticized several of the younger people at the pool for being to noisey (not that bad). She tends to view the Na Hale O Keauhou as a retirement community versus vacation destination.

We spent numerous hours on the lanai, enjoying BBQ meals over the serene views while the gentle sea breeze took away the stresses of our urban life. The pool was exceptional, especially in the way it's perched atop the estate overlooking the island. Our day of departure was indeed a sad one. We really enjoyed our stay in Hawaii. We appreciate the family that so kindly let us rent their home and for Chuck who was prompt in answering our questions and helpful to us in making our stay a fabulous one. The townhome was perfect for us and is in a beautiful area with the pool and barbecue area very close to us and every morning and night able to wake up looking out our lanai to see the ocean and sunset. The townhome also was decorated wonderfully and was great having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms since they were 7 of us. We were very close to most everything we needed - groceries, snorkeling, church and downtown. When we did travel to see more of the Island it was so beautiful along the way, we did not mind the length of time it took to get there. We hope to come back someday with our family and be reassured we will tell other people about our stay.

We had a great time staying at this updated, clean, and friendly place where we had a nice far view of the peaceful ocean. The place is nicely located not too far, within 5-20 minutes from many beaches, snorkeling places, shops, family activities, and restaurants. Highly recommended for those of you who are looking for a nice place to stay for your family, up to 8 people!

One never quite knows what to expect when all of the arrangements are made "nearly sight unseen" via the internet. However, for this property from the pictures, to the location, to the cleanliness, to the spaciousness, to the amenities, to the great folks as aloha Condos, the stay was exceptional. The process to ck in and out, flawless. The owners of this property have gone to great lengths to assure a great and comfortable stay. We really enjoyed this property as well as the experience of making the booking.

The unit m1 was fabulous, magnificent, awesome. Plenty of space. Everything you would want in a home. Wonderful community pool with jacuzzi. Not a lot of people in the pool which made it seem as if we had it all to ourselves. Nice community bbq grill (Weber) Very clean home and beautifully decorated, just spectacular. We had an amazing vacation. Chuck buser from aloha condos very nice and professional. The home m1 and Big Island were wonderful.

We rented and came back again this year, as our previous stay was so memorable. First I must say the the location, quiet neighbourhood and close proximity to the grocery store still is a great reason to stay. The unit is exactly as pictured and accomodates any family easily. Our biggest disappointment and huge issue was the general tideness/cleanthiness of the unit when we arrived. The showers/bathrooms were spotty and not clean and the bedding on the beds dirty and smelled like "B.O." I did contact someone, but did not get a reply or call until our maid was due mid week and by this time had cleaned and washed all the bedding myself. In addition, all the wonderful beach stuff that was part of our rental last year, gone!! We ended up purchasing and leaving behind 4 body boards/snorkle masks/beach umbrella and many other things. Along with this, the owners have put a "lock" on the downstairs closet making anyone with luggage or clothing, have to walk upstairs and intrude on other rooms for storage and to hang clothes. Overall, the townhouse has a beautiful view and security for those looking for a safe place to stay. I think the owners need to look at why they are renting and how the changes they have made impact both the experience and comfort. Overall, I would recommend but be aware that if you have issues, they probably will not get addressed.

We had a great Xmas break at the villa. It was a beautiful house and the place has been decorated very well. We felt at home straight away (so comfortable that we didn't really want to leave!!) :) The location was also great and easy to find. Would highly recommend the place to our families and friends. Overall this was a very nice condo with plenty of room in a great location off of Alii drive. We really liked the proximity to the beach, downtown Kona, and the shopping center. The amenities in the condo facility including the pool and workout room were also very nice. The only complaint was that the initial cleanliness of the condo was not good. In particular three out of the four beds in the condo had large hair balls in the sheets, almost like they hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival, or not cleaned very well.
Wonderful relaxing getaway

This lovely condo lived up to its description and pictures. It was very quiet, relaxing and comfortable for our family of 5. The best thing was having all the amenities of home but located in paradise! We would definitely stay here again.

This is a fantastic property. The unit itself and the overall property is very well kept and has everything you need to have a totally enjoyable time on the Big Island. The unit is in excellent shape and is very comfortable for five or six people. The unit has an excellent overview of the ocean just about a quarter mile down the hill. It is located close to a nice little shopping center with a supermarket for any food items you would need and just a short drive from several nice little beaches. Kona town is just two or three miles up the road. In all this is a fantastic place for a family to stay and enjoy the many things the Big Island has to offer.

We rented this property for about a week. We have nothing negative to say about it. The apartment is in great condition, it looks exactly like it does in the pictures. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything from condiments to laundry detergent to pool toys for the kids. There is tons of parking and the property is nice and quiet. The location is great, only about 5 - 10 min drive to beaches and around the corner from the shopping center. When we had a question about the air conditioner, someone was there to help us within the hour. We've already recommended this condo to several people and would definitely stay there again if ever in Kona.

This amazing condo was "everything" the owner stated. This unit is one of the few in this complex, that has a beautiful view of the ocean, along with close access to the pool/BBQ area. We found it to be very clean, the owner easy to correspond and talk to and the location safe, secure and quiet. The drive from the airport was both non-stressful and directions to easy to follow. The best part.... was the location of a grocery store, post office and drug store right behind, making it easy for grocery shopping or last minute meal planning. Our family (which included our young/adult children) quickly found the best snorkling was just 1 mile down the road, with the "tourist" area of Kona just beyond. We felt that there was nothing we could have needed, even for the beach, and suggest that you really "only" need clothes. We never ran out of towels or bedding, and loved the laundry room on the main floor. Any large family would love this condo as the owner has provided for all ages and all needs, right down to the extra air beds for parents that want their little ones close and DVD movies for all ages. The free internet allowed us to sit on the lanai and plan our days while we drank our morning coffee atching the sun come up. The location is close to the major highway making any activity, coffee farm tour or tourist attraction easy to find. We went to relax and enjoy the sun, away from the hotel type of stay.. and were not dissappointed. This condo is great value for your money and truly a "HOME away from HOME"

This is a wonderfully appointed unit loaded with every amenity possible. If you are looking for resort complete with an events coordinator, pool side bar etc. consider elsewhere as the complex has a residential feel great for those looking for peace and quiet. One small annoyance is that the hot tub is prone to frequent outages due to children playing with the shut off control. Bottom line if you are looking for a place to park and relax in the Kona district you cannot go wrong with this rental unit . Please note if your vacation plans include extensive trips to the north, east or south island attractions the commute times from the Kona district will eventually wear you out. Last -Aloha Condos were great to deal with and I would highly recommend others to their rental web site.
