Felt like home with a view!
This unit was so adorable and comfortable. All the necessities were available for use and the location was great! There is a stunning view and the fireworks on Friday nights were spectacular. Chuck, the owner, immediately returned emails when questions were asked. I actually extended my stay there by 4 days. The unit was well furnished and the availability of cable and internet made the stay like being at home. I would highly recommend staying here in Unit 394.

Beautifully furnished, great location
We had stayed at another unit in the Ilikai Marina previously so we knew we'd like the location and view. 1286 was very nicely furnished and, as we knew from prior visits, has a view we love. Vilad and Gillian were wonderful to deal with and provided complete information so our arrangements before and throughout our stay were very smooth.

It is like home away from home.
The best things I liked and enjoyed during my stayed was the view from the lanai and the left hand wall window. The beautiful sunset. I also like the furnitures, (the couch, the arm chair and the ottoman and the dining table set. The style, color and decor of these furnitures brings out the Island feeling. The location is excellent for people like me that don't drive. ABC stores was very convient, McDonald's is good for fast lunch and Red Lobster was great for dinner. The unit is alittle bit small, to me for myself would be perfect. For two (2) it's a little crowded. And That's the MAX.. What I was dissappointed when I noticed some dirty spots on the rugs as I enter the living area and I also noticed some discolored or rusted flaps, which that I thought it was dirty dust on the Air conditioner's vent. The TV was not working and I had no BIG TV to see for two nights. And finally NO table outside the lanai to put my drinks to enjoyed the ocean air. All and all I enjoyed my stayed and do recommend vacationers to stay at the unit I stayed #1480 instead of a Hotel, especially the conviences with the kitchen, where you can enjoy your delicious breakfast without changing your jammies.

The location was great, right by the harbor. Walking distance to the beaches, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The apartment was clean and tidy and looked just like the pictures. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Great place
We were staying 3 weeks in this beautiful condo. The online booking worked perfect and before we arrived we got a lot of information from the owner. All our questions were answered promptly and they were very concerned that all of our needs were met. The condo is very nice, has a very well equipped kitchen and great views to the marina, the ocean and beautiful sunsets! The building is well situated, near to buses, shopping areas and to the beach. We had a great time and will recommend this condo to others too.

Stayed for a week at the end of Jan.'10. The condo had all that we needed for light housekeeping and meal prep. Xcelnt location for the price. Away from the main Waikiki "strip" Had wiFi, cable and beach chairs etc. Clean, appliances all worked. Short walk to Hilton Village and its' shops, restaurants beach amenities. Good pizza at the bar downstairs, convenience store close by. You do not need a rental car if you stay here. City bus, shuttles and cab will take you anywhere you might want to go. Only two beefs that keep it from 5 star, pull out sofa bed is bad and absence of a front desk as you would find in a hotel for information and services.
Great location for exploring Waikiki and Oahu!

Incredible location on the north end of Waikiki steps away from the Hilton Hawaiian Village gave us the perfect nest to explore Waikiki and the rest of Oahu from! Parking can be expensive but if you are staying more than five days, opt for a monthly pass which is much more reasonable. Very convenient restaurants and walk to the heart of Waikiki. The view overlooks the Marina and a beautiful sunset. Don't miss the fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian.

We particularly enjoyed the flexibility offered by having a full kitchen. The on-site laundry facility on the upper floor(s) is definitely a plus. The room was nicely decorated with a good view of the marina. This unit is conveniently located on the west side of the Waikiki area. I had problem connecting to the wireless and there wasn't help beyond the basic information about the SSID to help me in resolving the problem. Luckily we brought with us a cat5 cable. Nonetheless, we had 2 laptops and only one could be online at a time.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and Gillian and Vlad made sure it was perfect. The condo is even better than the photos show and was spotless, cool and welcoming when we arrived. Nice extra touches included ice in the freezer, filtered water in the fridge and a guidebook to help with things to do. There were also coffee filters and a generous assortment of spices for cooking. Truly fully equipped. The view was spectacular, the bed extremely comfy. Linens and towels were plentiful and of high quality. It is only a short stroll to the Hilton Lagoon and beach. There is an ABC store steps away and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The only negative was the poor attitude of the attendants working in the parking garage. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this condo highly to anyone else wanting a quiet, beautiful, perfect stay. Gillian and Vlad are awesome hosts. A special thanks also to Mary for making sure everything was so clean and tidy.

We absolutely loved Ilikai Marina Condo 1480. The view is amazing, and makes the one bedroom/studio-ish type condo seem larger. The furnishings and "stuff" are great - very complete. Because it is located a ways down from Waikiki and faces the ocean, not Ala Moana Blvd., there is very tolerable street noise when the windows are open. The ocean sounds cover up 99% of the ambient sound. Some issues with bathroom wall electrical outlets - had trouble using my own hairdryer, and the condo hairdryer worked most of the time. Otherwise fabulous. We would definitely stay there again!
Exceeded our expectations.

Ilikai Marina Condo 1480 was our first experience renting a vacation condo, sight unseen, using an Internet site. It was also our first visit to Honolulu. We hit the jackpot! Originally we tried to book Ilikai Marina Condo 1294 but it was not available for the dates we needed. My wife contacted Chuck Buser, the manager for the condo, and he suggested we take a look at Condo 1480 which was an end unit with a corner view and similar to 1294. We booked 1480 but we had no idea what a great favor Chuck had done for us. The information and pictures on the website were accurate and Chuck answered all of our questions and provided other helpful and useful information. The booking process was very easy and the follow-up from Chuck was great and his instructions/ directions were clear and easy to follow. The check-in process was easy and simple - open the lock box and open the door. The view from the condo is fantastic - A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW. The condo suited our needs perfectly and we found many little unexpected extras in the well equipped and appointed condo. It is also in a great location. We didn't realize until we got there how centrally located the condo was to most everything - within walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping and even central Waikiki beach. On the street level of the condo building, there are four (4) restaurants, Outback Steakhouse, The Chart House, Red Lobster and the Harbor Pub & Pizza. Across the street was a McDonald's and a ABC Store for basic groceries and sundry items. We saved a lot of money making use of the well equipped kitchen and we had a priceless view for every meal that many restaurants do not have. We were told about the parking cost ($17/day) since we had a rental car but we were always able to find a spot close to the elevators and with our parking pass, coming and going was very easy and convenient. There is even a security guard on site. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our condo. We highly recommend Ilikai Marina Condo 1480, Aloha Condos and Chuck Buser. Mahalo

Condo 1480 at the Ilikai Marina complex was fantastic! The views were priceless and the amenities were wonderful. Everything was close by to make our stay comfortable. The ABC store was across the street for groceries as well as a MacDonald's The Charthouse on the first floor was an unexpected surprise and their bar and "puu puus" specials nightly were super reasonable and a great way of eating out without breaking the bank. It was a five minute walk to the beach and the beautiful lagoon is great for kids. On the other side is Ala Moana beach park and there was a fair going on when we arrived. The Ala Moana shopping mall is probably more convenient getting there by bus or car, it is 3 very long blocks away. We will definetly return for a longer stay!

this is our first time in waikiki beach and the condo is in a great location, close to the beach and shopping. the place is modern, clean and comfortable, it has everything we needed and the view of the ocean and the marina is great. we did have a few issues with the place, first the air condition was shut off due to the building is fixing the central air the whole week so it was hot for our entire stay (the owner should have told us before we go, it was a big surprise when we got there), it was so hot that we have hard time to sleep even with the fan on. also the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, one corner was sliding downward so we can't use it, my daughter just put the cusions on the floor to sleep. lastly, the street noise was very loud, maybe it's because we had to open the windows since the air condition was not working, but never the less, the unit is close to main traffic so we can always hear something. Overall, the place is nice, if the air conditioning was working, then our experience would be much nicer.

The condo was exactly as described and pictured. It was immaculate, comfortably furnished and had a fantastic view of the marina and Honolulu's beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was the best equipped condo of any we have stayed in from Paris to Amsterdam and the building was very quiet. The attached parking garage (while a bit pricey at $17 per day) was very convenient and secure with unlimited in and out privileges. The owners were extremely easy to work with and very concerned that all of our needs were met. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We had a local contact along with the owners' email and phone numbers in case of any problems - of which there were none. Our only initial concern was locating the actual entrance to the building. Our GPS couldn't determine that while the street address is Ala Moana Blvd. the building and parking garage are accessed via Hobron Ln. between The Red Lobster and Charter House restaurants. Having laundry facilities on the 8th floor near the elevators was convenient. Just remember to bring plenty of quarters and your own soap & fabric softener since there are no change machines or product dispensers. The only other comment concerns the carpeting in the hallways - it is in need of a deep cleaning and some TLC. This, however, is an issue for the complex not this specific unit. We had a great stay and have already told many friends that we would highly recommend this unit as the perfect place to stay while enjoying Honolulu, Waikiki and the island of Oahu.

It's a beautiful apartment with a gorgeous view. I found everything within the apartment, such as kitchen equipment, very adequate. Ala Moana Shopping Centre is close by, which made self-catering easy, and there's a little supermarket just on the corner if you don't fancy a walk. Waikiki is also handy in the opposite direction but if you'd rather avoid it, you can. The apartment is also within range of a pay as you go wireless network, which was useful for me. I wish I could have stayed longer, and would happily go back again. Loved the constant view of the sky and ocean, and the marina below. The only draw back was the high cleaning fee. However, it meant that the apartment was in very good condition.
