This felt like coming home again. My husband and I have stayed at Napili Bay Resort repeatedly over the years and are always happy to return. We do love the oceanfront units, #208 was perfect for us, nicely cleaned upon arrival, plenty of towels, comfy mattress and good sheets and pillows. We do remember the outdoor table and chairs being higher previously, not so easy to view, lest you raise your seat with pillows, but no worries, we spent most of our time on the beach and in the water anyway. Thank you Chuck and Debbie for a very lovely welcome basket, what a great treat! Thank you, we will return!

Our stay in Condo 208 at the Napili Bay Resort could not have been better. This is a resort that has been there for years, but has been renovated and kept up so that it is still one of the formost places on a beach that is difficult to surpass. From the time we walked in and was greeted by a welcome basket, we had a wonderful time. The attention to detail by Chuck was incredible. He emailed us several times making sure that we had everything we needed. We had to contact the resident manager once because of a leak that developed under the kitchen sink and he responded right away and took care of the problem. The condo had everything that was needed to make a stay at the beach a delight. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

#208 has everything and more you could possibly want/need! A thoughtful welcome basket with lots of goodies greets you. The condo is clean, has a very comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen needs, homey...The view from the lanai is breathtaking, the beach is right there with access a few steps away. We especially liked all the lighting, with dimmers, in the condo. We appreciated the quiet and friendliness of everyone we met. The grill area is wonderful for cooking and a great spot for socializing. The beach is beautiful for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling (lots of turtles!) and watching unbelievable sunsets. The resident manager and his wife are friendly and helpful and are available to answer questions or offer suggestions. We chose Napili Bay Resort #208 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary - couldn't have made a better decision. The thing we liked least? Leaving!

Pros: Clean, nice sturdy chairs that can lean back that we took out daily, 2 boogie boards, 2 ceiling fans that helped make up for no aC, an easy walk by beach or road to the wonderful Sea House restaurant, washer/dryer room near parking lot, ice machine, beautiful landscaping with flowers, and a very friendly atmosphere. An easy walk to Merriman's or even the Pineapple Grill (at golf course). Cons: The room overlooks a very popular beach. There are over 100 people outside of room daily. Voices, esp. children's, carry into the room. To "escape" this noise it is good to shut the beach-side slats and turn on an internet music selection. Note to management: for those who stay more than a week it would be good to have more dish soap for hand-washing of dishes, and more t.p.

Napili is our favorite beach in Hawaii. This condo is as close as you get to the water. You can go to the beach without leaving the lanai. We loved our stay. Small but cozy and this condo has everything you need. If your looking for maid service, air conditioning, a swimming pool and total peace and quiet it isn't for you, but if you like to go to the beach without the hassle of driving, and if you enjoy people watching and sitting on the lanai at the best beach in Hawaii, this is the perfect location and condo for you. The swimming is fabulous as are the huge turtles. There are several restaurants nearby, a handy store and as one guide says, Napili has more enjoyment per sq. foot than any beach in Hawaii. We will be back!

This was our third trip to Maui and the second of what we hope will be many weeks in #208. The ocean is so close that we could see and hear it from the condo, and it takes less than a minute to get from there into the water. What could be better than that?! The condo is so well equipped that packing is so much easier than previous experiences, and great restaurants, a store, and Snorkel Bob's are within easy walking distance. The only disappointment was having to leave. This is a great place to vacation!

Short walk to waterfront restaurant and bar for great meals and drinks while watching sunset. Easy access to other points of interest. Place was clean and well-maintained. Comfy bedding. Small greeting basket. On hand boogie board and beach chairs that were perfect for setting out to explore other beaches. Absolutely would stay again.

We loved staying at Napili Bay Resort. Condo 208 was excellent. The condo was very clean when we arrived and much appreciated the welcome basket. Beach towels and chairs were provided. Bed was comfortable. It was nice cooking in for our meals. Also nice to walk to restaurant at other resort. Our view from the second floor was amazing. Through our binoculars we saw whales from our lanai. It was wonderful to have the beach right there. If we go to Maui again we would stay there again.

Condo 208 was perfect for the two of us. It's on the second floor and sits directly above the beach. We spent a lot of time on the small outside patio gazing at Molokai, the beach and the ocean, and slipping in a few pages from our books. The interior of the unit has clean, comfortable furniture and a good kitchen area for fixing full meals (but don't invite 28 folks over for Thanksgiving dinner). The unit included two great beach chairs and two boogie boards that we made use of daily. It's neat, clean and restful. We'd love to be back there again.

The resort is a small comfortable older place right on the beach. Our room looked right over the beach with a beautiful view of Molokai. The convenience of being on the beach is huge as driving and parking at other beaches gets very crowded at times. We snorkeled, swam and enjoyed the water very much. And also saw several sea turtles! My daughter and I really enjoyed the low key, un-touristy atmosphere. Our room was clean and a basket of fruit was waiting for us on the table. The location is close to everything Maui has to offer. This is a great place to hang out and unwind.

This was our second time staying at the Napili Bay Resort and it was just as wonderful as the first. We stayed in a 2nd floor unit this time and think we prefer it to the 1st floor from our first visit. The king bed in Unit #208 was very comfortable and everything was well stocked. We had purchased a disposable ice chest prior to arriving at the resort, but even that was provided! The beach chairs they provided with the room were brand new and very comfortable for spending the day on the beach. The welcome basket is always such a nice touch. The only thing I could think could be added to the unit is placemats. We were awoken on our first night from a group of singles loud voices and carrying on in the lanai in the unit next to us, but someone must have reported it the next day because we didn't hear anything the remainder of the nights we were there. We would return in a heartbeat!

No major complaints, everything was well spelled out and organized. The condo had all the basic necessities, and was clean and comfortable It is a studio so it can start to feel a little confined after a few days but a comfortable lanai with a great view made up for any minor shortcomings. One caveat....it is right on the beach and I was originally concerned about people noise but that was never a problem but at night the sound of the surf seems really loud. We did come to the ocean on purpose after all and I felt relaxed by it but my wife didn't.

We were pleased with the kitchen and made ourselves Kona coffee in the morning, sandwhiches for lunch and tropical drinks to take out on the beach and watch the gorgeous sunset. The bed was comforatable, the view was amazing and we appreciated the information and welcome basket from Chuck. It was the best vacation I have ever had!

The condo and the location was everything we thought and hoped it would be. The directions from the airport and how to access the condo were spot on. The condo was immaculate and had all the amenities needed for a self catering vacation. The owner Chuck arranged for a welcoming fruit basket for our arrival. This was much appreciated. We barbecued most nights and the amenities around the condo were clean and very well maintained. The location was exactly what we were looking for, right on the beach. We were hoping for a totally relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we achieved at this location. Thank you On our last day when Cathy the local rep contacted us and found out that we had a late flight back to Washington DC she gave us a late check out. This then allowed us another full day on the beautiful beach and enabled us to use the amenities in the condo prior to our 14 hour journey home. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness Cathy

You couldn't ask for a better all-around place to stay on Maui. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and stayed for 7 nights. Chuck made sure that our stay went smoothly with good communication before, during, and after my stay. Lee, the grounds manager was polite, helpful, and easy to deal with. Great access to the beach which was great for snorkeling, swimming, or just laying in the sand. We particularly enjoyed hunting in the nearby tide pools. As would eagerly come here again and at the same time would highly recommend it for anyone thinking of staying on Maui.

My partner and i were lucky enough to spend two nights in condo 208; we left wishing we could have stayed for a month! The place was immaculate, with everything provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, right down to a welcome basket of tropical fruit. The location was fantastic, with our lanai looking out over the beach - we watched magical sunsets from the comfort of our deck chairs but, being on the second floor, had some privacy from other beach users. At night we were lulled to sleep (in a wonderful king-size bed) by the sound of waves. We chose to go out rather than cook, but the kitchen was well stocked enough to allow simple cooking. The reservation / confirmation process was easy and efficient, and the instructions (from a guy named Chuck) on accessing the condo were both clear and easy to follow. Furthermore, the Aloha rentals prices were competitive compared to units managed by others. In short, I highly recommend Napili Bay (though part of me would like to keep it a secret!) My partner and I would definitely stay there again.

I researched the internet for days to find a place on the beach, with a balcony looking out at the ocean, where we could listen to the surf at night, and snorkel and swim during the day. The snokeling isn't like the Caribbean, but there were some huge turtles and colorful fish, as well as some coral. We really loved our stay. It was quaint, comfortable, and gave us an escape from the maddening crowd. Napili Bay is magical. I woke one morning, stepped out on the lanai, and saw four rainbows across the bay. The sand was soft and clean. We were comfortable with the breeze that blew through the place, and only needed the ceiling fans to keep us comfortable. You can hear the neighbors a bit on the lanai, but we weren't bothered. I have to say, Kathy, who manages the property, was so amazing and available to be helpful and make our stay comfortable. We had a really great time and would happily go back. The condo is well stocked for cooking. Boogie boards and beach chairs were provided, as well as beach towels. The bathrooms are small but adequate. You really have everything you need. My only negative comment is that I found the colors a little dingy and would like to see a more cheery tone in the decoration. Kathy helped me to get a more colorful spread on the bed, which made a difference. We would recommend this to anyone looking to get close to the ocean (the beach is only steps away) and away from the big hotel tourist experience. It is a short drive to all of that if you want it. We arrived late at night, and it was easy to find our way and get into the condo. It was all set up very nicely. We stayed 9 days and had a great experience.

Napili Bay is such a beautiful beach. We loved sitting out on the lanai watching the turtles and dolphins. We could not have had a beautiful view. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equiped. Little extra's like a cooler and boogie board made us feel like we were staying with friends instead of a hotel. I would go back every year if I could. Making reservations was very simple over the internet, we had no problems with the rental. The only part of our stay we did not like was not having a maid to clean the room while we were out. That would have been a little more romantic.

All we could have wanted and more! The location is heavenly and our rooms (we occupied 2 rooms while we were there, 207 and 208) were clean, had a full size refrigerator/freezer and reasonably stocked. (coolers, toaster, blender, boogie boards, beach towels and chairs basic spices.) The BBQ is very nice and new. (208 had BBQ equipment but 207 did not.) We loved the balmy breezes and did not mind not having air conditioning at all. The beautiful ocean sounds lulled us to sleep and we were absolutely stunned by the views. The owner of room 208 greeted us with a beautiful fruit basket with a gift beach bag. This was especially nice since we had forgotten to bring one! We met the owner of room 206, (paradisehawaiiancondos.com) and she was personable and even though we were not her customers, she would have gladly helped us if we had needed something. We asked to see her rental unit and if there was anything to say that is a little less glowing it would be that 207 and 208 have not had the bathrooms updated and therefore are not as nice as room 206. We will definitely go again to the Napili Beach Resort but because of the bathrooms we will probably will see if 206 is available first. If not, the others are great too! Oh, for those of you worried about bugs...it's the tropics! Clean up after you eat and keep your garbage in a bag in the freezer like we did. That is all it took for us to keep bugs away.

Unfortunately the only good things about the condo was it is on the beach and in Hawaii. A very dated, well worn condo. Beds, pillows and bedding not acceptable, uncomfortable and well worn. A much needed reno. Extremely hot with poor air circulations made it uncomfortable day and night. Good news, I understand some other owner's units do have air conditioning and have been nicely refinished. Shop wisely. A few bugs in the kitchen. Overall-pass. There are so many other places to rent. We have now found two other excellent propertys and continue to come to Maui.

Our first trip to Maui, and it was everything we'd dreamed: beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. The accommodations were very comfortable, and we felt very much at home right from the start. We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay, that we made reservations for a return trip in November 2008. Sadly, a health emergency made our trip impossible at that time, but as it was too late to cancel, we gave our reservations to my sister and her husband. They enjoyed their stay every bit as much as we did! We are homesick now for our Napili Bay home, and eagarly looking forward to our next trip!

The Napili Bay is the only place I stay when visiting Maui. I always get an upstairs location. I love the fact that the sand is right below the lanai and the water is 20 yards away. The sunsets are killer every night. The beach is very local, not touristy like some other beaches. I love cooking in the unit and mingling with others at the private bbqs. There are no elevators or room service or stuffy front desks. It is all do it yourself and retro. The snorkling is awesome and you will always see turtles. I have been here at least 6 times and will continue to come. The Napili Bay is one of the best kept secrets on Maui. Mahalo for all the great memories! Scott and Nancy

This was out second stay at napili bay, and nothing has changed in paradise. The condo has it all. Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. The beach is one of the best on the island, and even so is relatively unbusy. Ease of services, from snorkel gear two blocks down the road, to grocery and mini mall nearby, and ease to shops in lahaina. We WILL stay here on out next stay on Maui!!

My first trip to Maui

Maui Visitor from Gig Harbor, Washington on 04/02/2009 said:
The rental itself was fine - clean, great view of the ocean. Disappointment was in two areas that might not bother other people - just me personally. On my 3rd day renters moved in next door who were chain-smokers. The smoke constantly drifted into my condo and lanai and the man had a smoker's cough that was non-stop. I was not able to enjoy the Lanai due to the constant smell of smoke and closing windows/doors in Hawaii makes little sense - I fault myself for not checking beforehand whether it was a "smoke free" condo complex. Perhaps that has changed since I visited. I also was not prepared for the large crowds (and noise) that gathered from morning until late afternoon right beneath my Lanai - I prefer a more secluded atmosphere. Again, this is of no fault to the condo itself - just my personal preference. I wanted to enjoy reading on the Lanai and looking at the ocean but between the smoke and the noise/activity below lanai, this was disappointing to me. I want to reiterate that the condo itself was lovely and well-equipped - just not the "spot" I had hoped for. No fault of owner or condo itself. Thank you for this oppportunity and I would recommend the condo to anyone who doesn't have my personal issues.

If your trying to get away from the big crowds, and overpriced luxury accommodations, this would be the place. During our stay in Hawaii, we stayed at both a luxury hotel and the relaxed, laid back, private beach, of Napili Bay Resort. It was awesome to walk out the front door to the beach. The snorkeling at Napili Bay was much better than the paid excursion I took. I did have a little problem going to sleep with the ocean waves crashing all night. The windows are louvered with no glass, so the noise could not be stopped. A Tylenol PM took care of that.

Having been to Maui several times, I insisted my wife and I stay in a more quiet section of the island, but not too far from Lahaina. We chose Napili Bay and searched for a nice condo with the idea of treating ourselves to an ocean view. I searched for weeks and had a few places bookmarked. I ended up choosing 208 at Napili Bay Resort because it looked perfect. After booking and emailing back and fourth a few times with the owner we were set to stay and had all of our information necessary. Upon arrival, we walked into a nice quiet, modest yet clean and beautiful room. It was very important to me that the room kind of embrace the beauty and aloha spirit of the islands. It most certainly did and after stepping foot onto our Lana'i it exceeded our expectations! Chuck (the owner) had left us a very nice basket of hawaiian goodies with a note congratulating us on our marriage. That thoughtfulness meant a lot to us and made us feel at home right away. The room had wireless internet which was a huge plus. It was a great way to post pictures of our trip as it unfolded to ensue jealousy from our friends and family(hehe). The boogie boards and beach chairs were a plus too! Wey cannot wait to go back to Maui and are looking forward to staying in the same exact room. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and our tastes. Hawaii is not about big hotels, crowded beaches and shopping...it is the most beautiful place on earth. Napili Bay and the Napili Bay Resort both allow you to enjoy the island in comfort and quiet without being too far from the tourist indulgences.

Second story unit on the beautiful Napili Bay beach. Clean and well furnished. Just steps away from your private beach entry and shower. Mornings on the lanai afford views of sea turtles and whales in the channel. Evenings provide unobstructed views of the sunset. Nights are cloaked in the sound of surf on the beach. There is no air conditioning but there also is no glass in the wood-shuttered windows. The sea breezes at night blowing through the condo will cool you enough for sleep in the amazingly comfortable bed. There is a TV that is hard to hear with the sound of the surf echoing in the condo, but who cares? All the entertainment you could want is waiting on the beach sunbathing, in the water snorkeling, or sitting on the lanai mesmerized by the view. Incredibly romantic for two and my idea of paradise.

The ocean waves were calming... We felt very safe there. There were two great places to eat within walking distance--the Gazeebo and the Sea House. We could take a short car ride to Lahaina for other food and stores. It was great!!! We'd love to come again! Thanks again for the fabulous stay.

The condo is so well equipped that packing is so much easier than previous experiences, and great restaurants, a store, and Snorkel Bob's are within easy walking distance. The only disappointment was having to leave. This is a great place to vacation!

Condo 208 was perfect for the two of us. It's on the second floor and sits directly above the beach.

We stayed a week at Napili Bay condos for our Honeymoon. It was our first time at this condo rental location and we just loved and w9ould definatly go back again for another vacation. The views off of the deck in room 2008 were absolutly georgeous and breath taking. There was one down fall no A/C. But with the ocean breeze and windows that definatly helped. This was an extremely nice condo. It was in good order and very clean. The view from the balcony was priceless! Gorgeous sunset at night. You could see turtles swimming in the bay and we watched whales from the balconey one morning. You are so close to the water you can hear the waves. We would definatly stay here again. The staff was very nice and the beach was clean and not super busy. Very well maintained, beautiful condo:)

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful beach, fantastic views, great place to stay! There's nothig like sleeping in a comfy bed listing to the ocean right outside. We loved it so much we went back February 2009 but we stayed in unit 109 which doesn't compared to unit 208. Turtles, Dolphins, Whales, Fish, beautiful blue ocean, soft sand and palm tress, what more can you possibly ask for?

Unfortunately the only good things about the condo was it is on the beach and in Hawaii. A very dated, well worn condo. Beds, pillows and bedding not acceptable, uncomfortable and well worn. A much needed reno. Extremely hot with poor air circulations made it uncomfortable day and night. Good news, I understand some other owner's units do have air conditioning and have been nicely refinished. Shop wisely. A few bugs in the kitchen. Overall-pass. There are so many other places to rent. We have now found two other excellent propertys and continue to come to Maui.

Immediately relaxed best describes our vacation experience at Napili Bay Resort. We have been to Maui before so we know exactly what we want to do when we get there, as little as possible. Coffee on the beach in the morning and cocktails on the beach at sunset met most of our vacation needs. Napili Bay Resort fit the bill perfectly. Everything we needed was there. The location is amazing and the facility is wonderful. There is no doubt when we let we were re- energized and ready to go.

When you walk into the room, you know you're in your home away from home. My lovely bride and I have been coming here for over 20 years and each time we vacation here we never want to leave. The location is perfect, the room is bright, and the people are friendly. We cooked fantastic meals on the barbecue and in the kitchenette. Thank you, and we look forward to all our future trips.

My husband and I stayed at your lovely condo for the majority of our honeymoon. We spent 6 wonderful nights there and then went to Oahu. And Maui is definately my favorite of the two islands! We loved the convience of the kitchen, frig, and being right on the beach. It was amazing to watch the sunrise and set everyday and just to sit and people watch as well. The ocean waves were calming... We felt very safe there. There were two great places to eat within walking distance--the Gazeebo and the Sea House. We could take a short car ride to Lahaina for other food and stores. It was great!!! We'd love to come again! Thanks again for the fabulous stay.
