A $250 security deposit is required with this reservation and we may process a credit card authorization in that amount prior to your arrival.  A charge may result for damage to the condo, missing contents or for exceeding the stated number of overnight guests.  Damage in excess of the $250.00 security deposit will additionally be charged to your credit card commensurate with such damage.  Guests are responsible for reporting any damages immediately.

The reservation deposit is nonrefundable; however if a cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date, the full reservation deposit may be applied to a new set of reservation dates in the same condo beginning anytime up to one year from the original check-in date (subject to availability). Cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date results in loss of all payments.

Stays of more than 13 nights will have an additional mandatory interim-cleaning.  For example if you stay for 14 nights you would have an interim and a final checkout cleaning.  If you stay for 27 nights you would have two interim cleanings and one checkout cleainng.

Check-in time is 3 PM and checkout time is 11 AM.  Please plan your arrival and departure times accordingly.  Early check-ins and late check-outs can be requested 48 hours before arrival or departure and are subject to change if we have a last minute booking for the same condo.  Please understand we have a fluid cleaning schedule to accommodate so all condos are in top condition when guests arrive and we may need to accommodate last minute bookings.  If we have a back-to-back (one set of guests leaving in the morning and another arriving in the afternoon) the cleaning takes 4 hours for most units.  For this reason housekeepers need to begin the cleaning at 11:00am.  Extra charges may apply if you have not departed at the start of the cleaning without having arranged for a late checkout.  To guarantee an early check in or late check out we recommend you book an extra night.

Cleaning fees are based on an average length clean.  If the condo is left excessively messy and it can not be made rent-ready in the average number of hours, guests will be charged $30.00/hr for the additional cleaning.


Smoking is strictly prohibited in the condo or on the condo lanai and doing so will result in full loss of security deposit.  We have covered lanais, so the smoke gets trapped and blows into the unit.  If you smoke away from the unit on the grounds of the Nohonani where permitted, please be sure the dispose of your cigarettes appropriately, but not in the condo.

We also provide a reasonable amount of amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, & etc. for your use.  Should you run out, you are responsible for purchasing additional products for the duration of your stay, unless you have an interim clean at which time we will replenish those supplies.

Please make sure that all keys, towels and remotes are left behind at the condo when you depart. We charge a $50.00 replacement fee for each lost key and a $75 replacement fee for a lost remote.  We charge a fee of $50.00 for lost bath towels upon checkout.  Generally these are lost because they are left in the rental car, so please check your car carefully before you leave for the airport.

No pets of any kind are allowed.

One vehicle per unit is permitted.

Keep indoor furniture indoors, and outdoor furniture outdoors.  There is a $50 fee if furniture needs to be moved back to its original place upon your departure.  For example, if you move a large glass table, the management company will have to hire someone to go help the housekeeper put it back.


We are grandparents visiting with a 12-year-old who was drawn to the unit by the pictures which accurately depict its quality and beauty. We were very comfortable and would definitely choose this unit and location on any future visit.

Room Descriptions


  • The view from your private lanai stretches more than 180 degrees from beyond Kapalua and Moloka’i to the north to  Lana’i island and Ka'anapali in the south.  Whales in season and turles are often seen off Nohonani as well as spectacular sunsets over Lana'i and Moloka'i.


  • Enjoy unforgettable sunsets and great whale watching, with the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i in the background, directly from your own lanai.  There is a colony of Green Sea Turtles off shore and they can often be seen feeding on the reefs off of Nohonani. The lanai has a patio table and four chairs for pupus and al fresco dining, and a chaise lounge for those lazy afternoons of just relaxing. 

Entry Area

  • The entry welcomes you to your hawaiian vacation home through the handcrafted Dutch-door which allows you to take maximum advantage of the trade winds along with providing privacy.  The security/screen door provides security and ventilation at the same time.

Living Room

  • The living room is comfortably furnished with a full size couch and matching love seat along with two easy chairs and is decorated with local tropical fabrics and Hawaiian artwork.  There is an entertainment center with a 50” flat screen TV (with cable) and a DVD player, as well as a bookshelf stereo with FM tuner.  A ceiling fan keeps things cool along with the trade winds.  All lights are controlled by dimmer switches to allow infinite lighting control.

Dining Area

  • The dining area and table will accommodate four people comfortably.  It is conveniently located next to the kitchen but yet allows ocean views while dining.  The alternative is to move entirely to the lanai and serve meals al fresco and enjoy the mild hawaiian weather.


  • The kitchen has been enlarged and totally remodeled with maple cabinets and granite countertops.  It  has all new full size appliances, refrigerator, cook top and oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and garbage disposal. A full complement of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils are provided.  Filtered water is piped to the refrigerator to provide ice and cold water through the door.

Master Bedroom

  • The master bedroom fronts on the ocean, and the waves will lull you to sleep at night.  There are floor to ceiling jalousie windows to bring in the whole ocean view and a sliding glass door for direct access to the lanai.  It is equipped with a queen-size bed, as well as a large closet, 2 dressers, a mirror, 2 night stands, a TV, and radio alarm clock.  A ceiling fan assists the trade winds.

Master Bathroom

  • The private master bath has a full size tub with shower over and new ceramic tile surround. The new one piece low flow toilet as well as the tub-shower areas are complimented with ergonomically correct grab bars.  The master bath also has 2 lavatory basins for his and her use.

Second Bedroom

  • The second bedroom is also equipped with a queen-size bed and has a tranquil garden view.  It has a hanging closet as well as a double dresser, mirror, night stand, and radio alarm clock.  A ceiling fan assists the trade winds.

Second Bathroom

  • The second bath also is equipped with a tub-shower combination, a pedestal sink and a one piece low flow toilet and again this bath is outfitted with grab bars in the tub and adjacent the toilet.


  • There is a full-size clothes washer and dryer in the condo. All linens, sheets, towels and wash cloths are provided, with complete spare sets also included. Four large beach towels are also provided for use poolside or beachside use.


  • Our two-bedroom, single level, condominium is located in the south wing on the second floor, with easy elevator access. The living room and dining area and master bedroom all front on the ocean. The unit is furnished to accommodate four people comfortably. The unit has Queen size beds in each bedroom and 2 full baths each with tubs and showers.


  • The Nohonani is an oceanfront condominium complex, located  on West Maui, between Lahaina Town and Kapalua, at the north end of Ka'anapali Beach. This low rise building has only 28 units and 4 floors, providing a more intimate setting than the larger condominium projects and hotels. There are plenty of activities available nearby when you desire.

    We are located on our own private white sand beach which you may often have to yourself.  There is a freshwater oceanside solar heated swimming pool and two separate  barbecue areas for your personal enjoyment. Snorkeling, golfing, tennis, deep-sea fishing, sailing, surfing, scuba diving, whale watching cruises, parasailing, and jet skiing are all nearby.

    A shopping center with a supermarket, postal/copy shop, video store,other miscellaneous shops and several restaurants is just a mile down the road. A Safeway and Longs Drugs are just five miles south in Lahaina. There is a farmers market for fresh produce, fish, and flowers three days a week just two blocks down the street.  There is a Costco just outside the Kahului airport where you can stock up for those longer stays.

    There are four championship golf courses within a ten-minute drive at Ka'anapali and Kapalua, as well as many tennis courts nearby.  Surfing and diving gear is available for sale or rent nearby.

    West Maui is noted for its many world-class restaurants, as well as many excellent, moderately priced eateries. And, of course, there are also many Luaus with great local entertainment.

    We are just two miles from Whalers Village, five miles from Lahaina town, 15 miles from Ma'alalea harbor, and 25 miles from Kahului airport (about 45 minutes).

    Maui has been voted the best island vacation for the last 12 years by Conde Nast. MAUI NO KA OI!!! (Maui is the best!)

This is the second time we've stayed at Nohonani, unit #205, and we loved every minute! The location can't be beat with easy walking to Bad Ass coffee, shops, restaurants, ABC store, and a local farmer's market right across the street. The building itself is beachfront (crashing waves take a bit of getting used to at night, but then it's like music to the ears!), and the view from #205 is nothing short of spectacular. The unit itself is clean, comfortable, and has everything needed for a relaxing stay, including a kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook or grill on two grills located on the property. Tip and Angela were easy to work with, and if we are lucky enough to return to Maui, Nohonani #205 is where we will stay!
