Golf
Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane designed The Bay Course at Kapalua. The forerunner of Kapalua Resort's two championship golf courses, The Bay Course is a 6,600-yard par 72 with gently rolling fairways and generous greens. The Bay Course is an excellent example of resort golf at its best.

Restaurants
The Gazebo Restaurant is a small, hidden, out-of-the-way restaurant, but Maui residents and tourists have found it, and it is very popular.
From the Napili Bay walk out to the beach and walk about 50 yards south. There's a pathway to the Napili Shores. The Gazebo is located next to the pool.
The view at the Gazebo is fabulous, since it is right on the ocean adjacent to Napili Bay. Gazebo has the same menu through all the hours they are open, serving only breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There are great pancakes, omelettes, salads, sandwiches, burgers and more.
There is always a waiting line to get in so expect to wait outside for 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how crowded Maui is at the time you go. But the ocean view is great while you are waiting.

Restaurants
Contemporary sushi and new wave Asian inspired dishes served in a lively setting is what makes Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar a critic’s favorite. Wine Spectator called Sansei “Endless innovation with a strong Japanese accent.” Bon Appetit named the restaurant one of their “Favorite Asian Restaurants” and one of “America’s Best Sushi Bars.”
Sansei’s sushi chefs are known for their highly imaginative creations, like their signature Panko Crusted Ahi Roll, and the famous Kapalua Butterfly Roll, a colorful delight of salmon, crab, shiromi, and fresh vegetables. A multiple first place winner at the annual Taste of Lahaina, Sansei’s Asian Shrimp Cake with Ginger Lime Butter and Cilantro Pesto, is a delicate shrimp cake encased in crispy Chinese noodles.

Beaches
The Napili Bay Beach is considered by many to be the finest beach in Maui.
A 1/4 mile crescent shaped beach of golden sand. A coral reef runs through the center of the Bay providing excellent snorkeling year-round.
A beach with all of the activities that one can imagine. There is great snorkeling on the north and the south end of the beach with hundreds of fish and frequent turtle sightings. When the surf is up you can grab a boogieboard and ride from the reef in the center of the bay all the way to the beach.
With no buildings taller than the palm trees, the Napili Bay has an old Hawaii laid-back feel.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling in Napili Bay is a joy anytime of the year.
A coral reef passes through the center of an appealing day creating an environment for all kinds of sea life to live.you'll see hundreds of fish and almost always spot a turtle hanging out in the reef. The best time to go is early morning before 10 a.m. where the visibility is fast and all of the various sea life is feeding on the reef.
For those that are a bit more adventurous you can go around the south end of the bay and be greeted by at least half a dozen turtles who have made there home here over the years.

Fun Time in Unit 109
Just wanted to share some unsolicited comments from our last guest in unit 109: Because of the open side and front of this corner first floor property, lacking the divider in most other studios, #109 offers, with the binoculars provided, an amazing v…

The whales are numerous and active right now, and I just experienced my best “whale watch” ever with Captain Steve and his zodiac out of Mala Wharf in Lahaina. The whales were under the boat and greeting us by slapping their 2 ton pecto…
