  Paradise and more!

The condo was an amazing place, and much more than we expected based on the reasonable rates. We arrived to find a gift basket by the door and I told my husband that we were the ones that should have bought the gift because the place was so wonderful. Besides being a great base to see The Big Island, the condo grounds are beautiful and so upscale, and the condo itself is so huge and modern, with a wonderful wrap around lanai to sit out and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the great view of the golf course. It was the total package and I would return in a heart beat. One of the best features of this particular condo is the high ceilings, which rise to about 20 feet in some rooms. That's one of the perks of being on the third and top floor. We just had a ball, and the only regret is that we couldn't book longer because the condo was only available for 3 days while we were in the Big Island. Mahalo and aloha!!! Can't wait to go back.   Great Place, Great Location

My family stayed here for five nights, and we were very pleased. The three of us had plenty of room, and the lanai was wonderful. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was quiet at night and we slept well in the beds. There was a very nice bowl of fresh fruit and coffee waiting for us on our arrival, which was most appreciated. The location was terrific, within walking distance of a terrific beach that had amazing snorkeling and great shallow areas for children to play in. It was a wonderful stay.

  6 days in paradise

We have stayed at the Keauhou Surf and Racket Club before and would go back again without hesitation. Very quiet, relaxing and convenient to all the activities the Kona area has to offer.

  Loved it

The condo was beautiful and more then I had hoped for. The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to connect to any Wifi, which would have been nice to have instructions on the fridge or something similar :) Otherwise we were extremely comfortable and loved every minute of our stay.

  Awesome Condo, great location

This was my first visit to Hawaii. Condo was exactly as shown on the website. Awesome place with loads of space, fully equipped kitchen in a nice resort. Really loved the lanai. It is close to Keauhou Beach for great snorkeling, Shopping Center nearby. Snorkeling and beach equipment is available, probably my favorite part.

Good value for money. Great location!

We stayed at Condo 6-301 in November 2011. At $89/night this was good value for money. Its conveniently located next to a shopping centre. Next door is a golf course. The unit has a very large, nice balcony looking out on immaculately landscaped grounds complete with ancient Hawaiian ruins. Armchair archeologists ... take note! As well, there is a charming little black sand beach (with more ancient ruins) between the Racquet Club and the Outrigger next door, complete with two chairs under a tree for weary beachcombers! We found the petroglyphs which are chipped into the lava rock ledge just off shore. Next door is the Outrigger Hotel. At the Outrigger Verandah Lounge the drinks are cheap ($4-$5) during the daily happy hour 4-6 pm. As well the Verandah Lounge is a nice place to watch the sunset and at night the hotel lights up the adjacent tidal pool so that you can see the fish swimming around, all while you are sitting in comfy chairs with a $5 mai-tai in your hand. Now that's my kind of snorkling! The unit had no air conditioning, but in November we did not need it. The unit needs some minor renovations such as new carpet (or a carpet shampoo), but otherwise it was fine. And there was a noisy chirping gecko that woke us occassionally in the night, but we didn't care because we didn't have to work the next morning. And it is on the third floor with no elevator, but our legs work fine so this was not a problem for us. Overall, good value for money! We would stay there again.

  Exceptional.

Bldg-6-301, was by far the nicest condo rental we have had yet. Clean, well kept, and everything you see on the promotion was honest. From the hand made goodies, and fruit basket found upon arrival. To the shuttle service to your door. This is a great value w/ extreme tropical class and beauty. hats of to Elisabeth, job well done. of course we will be back. mahalo, Bill

Quiet and well equipped with a great lanai

The unit is large and very well equipped with a well stocked kitchen and lots of beach ware. A nice view across the golf course from the large lanai which was a great place to read in the afternoon. The unit comfortably slept our family of four without any use of the sofa bed. The beds were good and although there was no a/C there was no issue with temperature because of all the windows. The kids appreciated having their own twin size beds and bathroom. If there was one opportunity for improvement I would say that the unit needs a good cleaning/inspection. I'm sure some parts of the unit were cleaner when we left than when we arrived. We even changed a few light bulbs. The dishwasher was also not great which may have been why we had to hand wash dishes when we first arrived. This was our first experience with a vacation rental and it worked out very well for us.

  6-301 stay

My family really enjoyed our stay. The condo was quiet, comfortable, clean, and very close to shopping and beaches. Instructions about entering and leaving the condo were clear and simple. After a long journey it was nice to walk in and relax. The welcome basket, beach towels and boogie boards were greatly appreciated. Our stay was great - there were no unpleasant surprises. I would recommend this rental without hesitation.

  Staying in paradise

This is the second time we have stayed in this condo. It feels like coming home. They always have a complimentary gift basket waiting for us. We didn't have to go to the store when we got in late at night. They had fruit, giant muffins, jams & coffee. The place is clean, quiet & well equippped. They have everything you need to go to the beach, picnic, snorkle, buggy boards, & a guide book for touring. Thanks for a wonderful time! Aloha! Till we meet again!

Beautiful apartment, good base to explore Big Island

The apartment fulfilled all our expectations. Beautiful view, big windows, nice furniture, clean! There is no beach on the property. The pool is not too attractive. With a car most attractions are in reach. Kailua Kona is a very busy town, but the apartment is beautiful and relaxing. The apartment was a good base for us to explore the Island. We drove up to Manuna Loa for the sunset, which was great. Most impressive was the Manta Dive with Kona Honu Divers. The helicopter ride with Paradise Helicopters over the Volcano out of Hilo was great too (have the doors removed!). Bubba Gump is the place for diner in Kailua. Whalewatching is a must too (between Jan. and April).

nice theme to the apartment home

the apartment home has a beach theme, nice poster pictures of hawaii's past. the wrap around lanai is a great feature. it's on the 3rd floor which is ok with me, cooler air breeze. quick walk to the golf course and ocean front. i would stay at this apartment home again. p.s. only wish is that a bbq grill be allowed on this great wrap around lanai.

  Cozy top floor.

We had a great week on Big Island. Thanks to this condo's location, easy to shop, eat and walk to snorkeling beach! It is a clean and cozy top floor condo. We would go back if we can:-)

  Perfect vacation spot

We had a wonderful stay at Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club in condo 6-301 and would definitely recommend it to others. The location was perfect for us -- quiet, near the ocean, and walking distance to restaurants and shops. It was easy to take day trips north, south and east to see a number of attractions on the Big Island. The condo was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with all the items we would need to make our vacation complete. We were pleasantly surprised by all the beach items which we couldn't easily bring ourselves -- a beach umbrella, tons of towels, boogey boards, snorkeling gear, etc. We really enjoyed the lanai, and ate all our meals there. This is a perfect place to vacation.

  Most wonderful holiday apartment

We had the most wonderful holiday at Keauhou Surf and Raquet club in Kona Big Island Hawai. The apartment was most probably one of the most beautiful and well furnished holiday accomodations we have ever stayed at-(and we have very high standards and we are a well travelled family). The quality of accomodation is outstanding and includes everything you need for a great time on the island-including body boards and guide books. There was lots to do on the Island and our canoeing trip to Captain Cook's monument will remain one of the most memorable experiences ever. We can highly recommend this apartment and would like to thank the owners again for making this apartment such a wonderful place to stay. The Withers Family-United Kingdom

  Perfect for us

For our first trip to the Big Island, this condo was perfect for us and our two teenage girls. The place was freshly remodeled and very new and tidy. It was very tastefully decorated with fun colors and decorations... we loved it! It had a great lanai where we ate many meals overlooking the golf course, green landscape and our small view of the ocean. It came equiped with many useful necessities such as a beach umbrella, towels and chairs. It was also great to have the washer/dryer in the unit. The only downfall was it was on the 3rd floor, which was a bit of a challenge hauling our stuff up and down each day, but it did make for some nice views. It was also very hot when we arrived, but opening all the windows and using the many fans quickly made it perfectly comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

  Comfortable condo

We have stayed in units at the Keauhou Surf and Racquet before. The condos are in a nice location, within walking distance to shopping, wonderful snorkeling and golf. There is only one pool and I think with the number of units, there should be two or more.

  Serenity !

What a lovely condo. Light & airy & very quiet & clean. We lived on the lanai! Easy to get to, close to the ocean, shopping, golf. The only problem we had was the water heater kept going out in the middle of showers, but I'm sure they have that fixed by now. We would stay there again & recommend it. Nice people to rent from.

  Adequate

Was okay, needs to be upgraded for the price.

  wonderful condo rental

My daughters and I were very pleased with the condo we rented. It was "move in" ready. There was even some snorkeling gear! The location was not difficult to find from the airport, and was convenient for day trips and going to downtown Kona by car. Grocery store and res- taurant were in walking distance. The resort is well cared for and is gated. We had a great time and would rent the condo again.
