Air Conditioning is optional and you may choose to deselect it; however we strongly recommend that you include it in any reservation between June 1 and October 31.

A $250 security deposit is required with this reservation and we may process a credit card authorization in that amount prior to your arrival.  A charge may result for damage to the condo or contents, missing contents, excessive cleaning required after checkout or for exceeding the maximum number of overnight guests.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the condo or on the property and doing so will result in full loss of security deposit.

No pets of any kind are allowed.

When guests lose a key (and fail to provide a replacement) they will be assessed a fee of $25.00.  This fee will cover the time and costs in providing a replacement.

If the on island contact has to go in person and help guests who have locked themselves out of a condo, they will be assessed a fee of $50.00.    The amount of this assessment is in keeping with that charged by property managers all over Kona. Please keep the lockbox key in the lockbox AT ALL TIMES. Not only will this avoid any potential fees but will be there when possibly needed in emergencies.

This issue of keeping the key in the lockbox is also important for the safety of your property and of your guests.  The lockbox key is the first avenue of recourse if there is some sort of emergency. (I have copies of keys for all my units, but that is not the case with site managers, first responders, plumbers, electricians, etc.)  There are any number of scenarios where I (or you) might need to give the lockbox combination to someone by phone in case of an emergency.

Check-in time is 3 PM and checkout time is 11 AM.  Please be certain to plan your arrival and departures days accordingly.

The reservation deposit is nonrefundable; however if cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date, the full reservation deposit may be applied to a new set of reservation dates in the same condo beginning anytime up to one year from the original check-in date (subject to availability).

Cancellation made within 30 days of the check-in date results in loss of all payments.

The unit m1 was fabulous, magnificent, awesome. Plenty of space. Everything you would want in a home. Wonderful community pool with jacuzzi. Not a lot of people in the pool which made it seem as if we had it all to ourselves. Nice community bbq grill (Weber) Very clean home and beautifully decorated, just spectacular. We had an amazing vacation. Chuck buser from aloha condos very nice and professional. The home m1 and Big Island were wonderful.

Overall, the week in Townhome M-! was a great experience. Booking and payment procedure was very efficient and convenient. The condo is very clean and well furnished. Watching beautiful sunsets from the lanai was a definite plus. The only problem we encountered was that the code for entrance to the condo itself was missing from the instruction sheet and it took some time before the island contact person could be reached to get the code.

Great location if your looking for a relaxing vacation. Beautifully decorated with comfortable, stylish decor and unique art. Our family loved the books, DVDs, and outdoor equipment available to the guests. The kitchen has every gadget you would need for any culinary adventure, even a set of fine china for special occasions. Amazing sunsets and great ocean views. Our new home away from home.

Nice rental and good location

The M1 unit is exactly as depicted in the photos - clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and with a great view. The view in the K-N units is generally the best Imho because you have nature directly in front of you rather than other rental units. It's an end unit so you are close to your neighbors. The L6 unit is directly opposite and even the windows from the M2 unit are pretty close. The rattan style curtains provides fine protection during the day but are see through at night. On the plus side, they let the breeze in.

Noise travels given the close confines which is why they have quiet hours from 10Pm-8am. As described in other reviews, this is one of many rules listed for the property. They may not all be strictly enforced but if you don't like too much authority or require more freedom, this might not be the complex for you.

There is no grill at the unit but the pool is a short walk away and has a great Weber grill. It actually worked well for us as I could cook while the kids played in the pool.

It sounds like all the units have some amount of free beach gear to use. I imagine it's going to be hit and miss everywhere. Having a couple chairs, plenty of towels, and some beach toys was great. The boogie boards were not in usable shape but not expensive to rent. If you are lucky enough to have some of the snorkel gear work - great - but otherwise you are probably looking for rental gear (we used Miller's Surf shop).

The unit itself has plenty of kitchen supplies including a lot of condiments, spices, and some other random supplies. I doubt they stock the stuff but everyone probably leaves a few items (aluminum foil, rice, and taco sauce were our contributions :-).

There was no need for aC when we stayed. Ceiling fans were good during the day or evening while later in the night the tropical breeze provided all you need.

One improvement would be to find a better spot for the garbage can. It was always in the way in the middle of the kitchen floor.

We have stayed in this unit before and have found it to be well-appointed. It is a bit less "private" than some of the other condos where we have stayed in Na Hale O Keauhou. The neighbors are very close (on both sides). The other major concern that we had was that the downstairs closet is locked. We had two couples staying (for one of the two weeks that we were there) and that posed a problem since we wanted to be on separate levels for privacy reasons. Lastly, there are a few items that needed (continue to need) addressing while we were there: leaking toilet, broken front screen-door and very loud washing machine. We did enjoy the view and the large table on the lanai. We also appreciated Ken's prompt response to taking care of the toilet that could not be used. Thank you!

Manager Response

We are very fortunate that our home in Na Hale is an end unit with only one neighbor to the right and a lovely green belt on our left separating us from the next building. We try very hard to maintain and upgrade our unit because this is also our home. Unfortunately like any home, appliances break and toilets may leak. It would be wonderful for all home owners if we could all have some advanced notice before these items decide to cause problems. I SINCERELY apologize for any inconvenience this caused during your vacation! We have worked very hard to create a beautiful relaxing Hawaiian retreat. A new toilet, screen door and washing machine have all been installed. We even took preventative steps and installed a new dishwasher so that this situation would not happen again. I am glad you were able to relax and enjoy the views from the fantastic lanai. We always want our guests to leave the amazing Hawaiian islands with a smile on their face and in their heart.

The Townhouse was perfect, lots of room, modern, clean and located close to beaches and shopping. It's a gated community that provides security for children, vehicles, etc.

Next trip to the Island will definitely be at the same Townhouse.

Very nice but very uptight. Not a relaxing place.

My family stayed in M1 and when we first arrived we were very excited and happy because it is extremely nice. Shortly after we got there we were made aware of all the rules... Nothing, not even a pair of shoes can be left on the patio and we got reprimanded for having our towels hanging to dry on a chair. I think this complex is very suited for people that don't mind very strict rules. The on site keeper told us they don't want it to look like a bunch of gypsies stay there. We were just a family on vacation trying to have a good time not harming or bothering anyone. The worst part of it was the fact that the neighbor in M2 kept peaking around the corner and seemed like he was spying on us everyday. The second to the last morning as he was out walking his dog we saw him peering in our sliding glass door before it was light out!! Very very creepy, he never spoke to us but him and his wife definitely had their eye on us the whole time, it was just very uncomfortable. I wish I could say I would come back, but it's not the place for younger groups that want to have fun in Hawaii!

Manager Response

Na Hale is a beautifully maintained private community in Keauhou. It's Town Homes are privately owned. Unlike a hotel who's guests continuously change, these homes are a mixture of vacation rentals and full time home owners. Our home is wonderfully located on the corner of our building, therefore we are fortunate to only have one neighbor and the tropical green belt separating us from the next building. The lanais are perfect for watching the sunset and relaxing. We have furnished our home with a washer and dryer to help our guests with laundry, especially wet towels after a fun day at the pool or beach. There are rules and regulations, as any private community has in place. We are a non smoking home, even out on the lanai. This includes the smoking of marijuana. We have worked hard to create a fantastic home with upgraded amenities for our families and our guests to relax in and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.

I'd stayed in the Na Hale O Keauhou complex before, but this was the first time in M-1. It was another great experience. The master and the 2nd BR upstairs was the perfect floor plan for me, my wife and 2 kids, and we had friends staying downstairs for a couple nights. The condo was clean and had a great kitchen with everything we needed to regularly prepare meals. We love this location as it is close enough to Kailua-Kona for an easy trip into town, but far enough away that we feel like we're away from it all. The lanai in the master overlooks the neighbors, which is the only drawback we found to this unit. Otherwise...great, and would recommend.

The unit was perfect for us, with 3 ensuite bedrooms for our 3 couples. The kitchen and other shared rooms accommodated us easily, and we could meet or go our separate ways with ease. We ate together on the lanai, looking out at the gorgeous Kona waters. The Keauhou shopping centre supplied most of our needs, often by strolling up to it as necessary. The best fish-watching beach in Kona was only a 10-minute walk away (parking there is sometimes difficult.) A couple of the rules of the condo puzzled us, such as not being allowed to dry our swimming gear on the lanai. Some of the furniture was not very comfortable for us oldsters. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in unit M-1.

We rented this rental for the barbeques and comfort of 8 people. Unfortunately there was no barbeque at the rental had to go to the pool for that. The tank ran out the second week we were there and had to throw everything in the oven as no mgr on site. Very inconvenient. The sofa had so many feathers coming out it was unsanitary. The worst part of this rental was the beds. We were promised two doubles which was what we needed. One of them turned out to be a futon which my 79 year old mother ended up getting. The top of bed slipped to the side one way or another and was very uncomfortable. Needless to say my children ended up sleeping on the sofa and or floor so that grandma could get the better bed and stop complaining. Very stressful for the whole family. Very disappointing.

Manager Response

Na Hale is a community with private Town homes. There is an on-site manager that has daytime hours with an office next to the pool, Jacuzzi and BBQ common area. Our home has its own private manager available for emergencies. His contact information is posted in our home.

Our home offers sleeping accommodations for 8 people as stated in our description. The upstairs master bed room and second bedroom each have king size beds. The third bedroom, downstairs, has 2 queen bed (not the smaller double beds). We set up our rooms this way to comfortably accommodate a family up to 8 people. More than 8 guest are not allowed, and would mean quests sleeping on sofas and floors. Our sofa in the living room is a Down Feather filled sofa and chaise. It does lose feathers occasionally. It is a sofa and not meant for sleeping quests. We are very proud of our home in Kona, as it is our home as well, not just a rental. We have tried our best to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for all. We wish you the best in the future.

We own a condo in this complex, but needed a few nights in another unit until ours came available. Naturally, I compared our set-up with that of M-1 and was pleasantly surprised. Six adults fit very comfortably in this spacious, nicely decorated unit and it was very clean. I was particularly pleased to have actual china, and a glass lemonade dispenser in the kitchen as we held a small reception at the condo following a wedding vow renewal ceremony for our 25th anniversary. Check-in and check-out were very smooth, and ample supplies of towels, soaps and trash bags were available. I will recommend this unit to our friends for those times we wish to travel together. We appreciate the family that so kindly let us rent their home and for Chuck who was prompt in answering our questions and helpful to us in making our stay a fabulous one. The townhome was perfect for us and is in a beautiful area with the pool and barbecue area very close to us and every morning and night able to wake up looking out our lanai to see the ocean and sunset. The townhome also was decorated wonderfully and was great having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms since they were 7 of us. We were very close to most everything we needed - groceries, snorkeling, church and downtown. When we did travel to see more of the Island it was so beautiful along the way, we did not mind the length of time it took to get there. We rented and came back again this year, as our previous stay was so memorable. First I must say the the location, quiet neighbourhood and close proximity to the grocery store still is a great reason to stay. The unit is exactly as pictured and accomodates any family easily. Our biggest disappointment and huge issue was the general tideness/cleanthiness of the unit when we arrived. The showers/bathrooms were spotty and not clean and the bedding on the beds dirty and smelled like "B.O." I did contact someone, but did not get a reply or call until our maid was due mid week and by this time had cleaned and washed all the bedding myself. In addition, all the wonderful beach stuff that was part of our rental last year, gone!! We ended up purchasing and leaving behind 4 body boards/snorkle masks/beach umbrella and many other things. Along with this, the owners have put a "lock" on the downstairs closet making anyone with luggage or clothing, have to walk upstairs and intrude on other rooms for storage and to hang clothes. Overall, the townhouse has a beautiful view and security for those looking for a safe place to stay. I think the owners need to look at why they are renting and how the changes they have made impact both the experience and comfort. Overall, I would recommend but be aware that if you have issues, they probably will not get addressed.

This amazing condo was "everything" the owner stated. This unit is one of the few in this complex, that has a beautiful view of the ocean, along with close access to the pool/BBQ area. We found it to be very clean, the owner easy to correspond and talk to and the location safe, secure and quiet. The drive from the airport was both non-stressful and directions to easy to follow. The best part.... was the location of a grocery store, post office and drug store right behind, making it easy for grocery shopping or last minute meal planning. Our family (which included our young/adult children) quickly found the best snorkling was just 1 mile down the road, with the "tourist" area of Kona just beyond. We felt that there was nothing we could have needed, even for the beach, and suggest that you really "only" need clothes. We never ran out of towels or bedding, and loved the laundry room on the main floor. Any large family would love this condo as the owner has provided for all ages and all needs, right down to the extra air beds for parents that want their little ones close and DVD movies for all ages. The free internet allowed us to sit on the lanai and plan our days while we drank our morning coffee atching the sun come up. The location is close to the major highway making any activity, coffee farm tour or tourist attraction easy to find. We went to relax and enjoy the sun, away from the hotel type of stay.. and were not dissappointed. This condo is great value for your money and truly a "HOME away from HOME"

This is a wonderfully appointed unit loaded with every amenity possible. If you are looking for resort complete with an events coordinator, pool side bar etc. consider elsewhere as the complex has a residential feel great for those looking for peace and quiet. One small annoyance is that the hot tub is prone to frequent outages due to children playing with the shut off control. Bottom line if you are looking for a place to park and relax in the Kona district you cannot go wrong with this rental unit . Please note if your vacation plans include extensive trips to the north, east or south island attractions the commute times from the Kona district will eventually wear you out. Last -Aloha Condos were great to deal with and I would highly recommend others to their rental web site.
