Beaches
Kahalu'u Beach Park, also know as Turtle Beach, is the best snorkeling spot in the Kailua-Kona area. A protected sanctuary for hunreds of type of colorful Hawaiian fish as well as a great place to see the Hawaiian honu or turtle. Typcially a safe entry because the surf is kept down by a rock barrier away from the shoreline. Don't forget to bring along reef walker shoes because the entry can be rocky in places.
