Information Collection and Use

Scott Rumfield, is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Scott Rumfield, collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Orders

We request information from the user on our secure reservations form. On this form, a user must provide contact information (like name and mailing address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing

We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

A credit card processing company is used to bill users reservations. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

We partner with other condo owners and third parties that represent their condos listed on our site. When a user requests a reservation or needs information on one of these condos, we will share the necessary contact, reservation and billing information with the other condo owner or third party to provide rental services for their units.

These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Security

This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our reservations request form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry — SSL.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only individuals who need the information to perform specific rental duties are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL owners and third parties are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Our owners and third parties are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.

Correction/Updating Personal Information:

If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. Choice/Opt-out

Our users are given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for the information.

Users of our site are notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our reservations page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

Deposit and Payment

A Non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation

Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the checkin date.

A security deposit of $250 is also required and will be authorized on your credit card 7 days prior to arrival. A charge may result for damage to the condo, missing contents, keys or for exceeding the number of allowed overnight guests.

 

Cancellations

Reservation deposit is non-refundable

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the checkin date can have the deposit applied to a stay at the same Aloha Condos property within one year of the original checkin date.

Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to checkin will forfeit all deposits

Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to checkin will forfeit all deposits and rental balance due payments


The four of us had a wonderful time at 10-304. The unit was very clean and spacious (sometimes all 4 of us were working in the kitchen) with high ceilings, lots of windows, comfortable beds, in house laundry facilities, attractive decor, and a lovely lanai. We spent most of our "home" time on the lanai enjoying the amazing view. The grounds and pools were well maintained as well. We all are happy to recommend this unit at the Kona Coast Resort.

  • Unit 10304 has the best view of any unit at the Kona coast Resort.
  • You have a top floor panoramic 180 degree view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean from the Kailua-Kona Pier to past Keauhou Bay from your private Lanai/balcony.
  • You are adjacent to the 14th fairway of the Kona Country Club Ocean View Course.
  • Year round you can watch the charter fishing boats come and go from Keauhou Bay and the Kailua-Kona Pier.
  • From December through March you will sometimes see whales playing less than 50 yards from the shore.
  • At any time of year you can watch the sun setting into the deep blue Pacific Ocean and on a clear evening you might catch the green flash just after the sun dips below the horizon of the ocean.

Lanai

  • You will be hard pressed to find a better view than from the private lanai/balcony of unit 10304 at the Kona Coast Resort.
  • Year round you can watch the charter fishing boats come and go from Keauhou Bay and the Kailua-Kona Pier.
  • From December through March you can sometimes see whales moving though the channel just off shore. The condo has two sets of binoculars for your enjoyment.
  • You can dine at the table on the lanai or sunbath on the lounge chairs.
  • There is a large storage bin on the lanai with beach toys and beach mats for your enjoyment. We also recommend you take some refreshments with you to the beach in the ice chests provided.
  • Please use the towel rake on the lanai for drying your towels and swim suits.
  • Enjoy the nearly 180 degree ocean view from anywhere on this lovely lanai.

Living Room

  • There are ocean views from everywhere that you look in the living room.
  • Two sets of sliding glass doors and windows will let the outside in and give you a nearly 180 degree view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean from Kailua-Kona Pier all the way past Keahou Bay.

    • There are two twin beds, a color TV with cable and a DVD/VCR unit, dressers and a sitting area.
    • The pass through to the bathroom and vanity also has a sitting area.
    • The large vanity area has dual sinks and a great view towards the Kailua-Kona Pier.
    • There is lots of closet space and the bathroom has a walk-in shower with sitting area.
    • With lots of space and privacy, the second bedroom and bath provides a unique getaway for your guests.

  • Please replace the lock box key in the lock box and use one of the key sets hanging in the kitchen area during your stay.

Location

  • The Kona Coast Resort is a five star resort located on the north end of Keauhou Bay in the Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii - approximately four miles south of Kailua-Kona town center.
  • The Kona Coast Resort is located in the center of the Kona Coast, in the Keauhou area which is known for calm winds and warm, sunny days because it is located on the leeward side of Mauna Kea; the 13,796 foot high (above sea level) mountain that is the highest point in all of the Hawaiian Islands.
  • There is an on-site restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner adjacent to the main pool and recreation center.
  • Resort features include free parking, two swimming pools, a lighted tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, fitness facility, two hot tubs, sauna, barbecue areas, gift shop, bar and restaurant.
  • Unit 10304 is located in building 10 just to the right as you enter the resort area.

The condo was very clean and nicely furnished. It had everything we needed and more! The resort was well maintained. The location was close to shopping, restaurants and beaches. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in the Kona Coast area.

We stayed in this condo very recently, and were very happy. It had been remodeled/updated in the past few years. There were plenty of towels, beach and snorkeling equipment to borrow. The place was clean and well equipped. The teens were upstairs in the loft, and were very happy to have there own space... We opted for the A/C and it was worth it.

The only issue we had was that the master bath (shower) has the hot and cold reversed. It took a while to sort that out, but we had a system that worked. Start at the 3:00 o'clock position, wait until it gets hot; then move it to ~7:30... This would be about a 10 minute fix for a plumber. LOL
