My parents and I stayed here in Jan, and we truly enjoyed our stay - like a home away from home for us! We also loved the view of the marina and the pacific ocean. The location is convenient too. One minor thing - I wish there were door/window screens so that we could open the door and window without having to worry about bugs/birds coming in.

A wonderful place to stay for spring break with my daughter, and 5 year old grandson. The views of the marina, ocean and sunset are unbeatable. The unit was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It felt spacious and I liked the way one could always look out at the amazing view without being over-cluttered with too much furniture. The Lagoon and Beach were really close, and an easy walk for a 5 year old and so we could easily go to and fro during the day. It was really good value, and I would recommend this as a great place to stay for anybody
It was perfect for a young family

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Waikiki, and having this condo had a great deal to do with that. It was very clean. The kitchen was well supplied. All necessary linens were supplied. There was even a fold-out crib for our youngest. The view over the harbour was amazing...some of the nicest sunsets I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend this condo to couples or small families!

This tiny condo was perfect for us because we only sleep there, and enjoy walking to restaurants, beaches and parks. Too bad parking there is so expensive ($ 17.00 a day??) The kitchen could use a sharp knife or two for those of us who like to cook. Looked like they decided not to provide them because sommebody obviously used the formica counter as a cutting board. Beach towls and umbrella were a plus. Bathrooom remodel, impressive. Very quiet neighbors.Management needs to implement its well posted NO SMOKING policy to thr hired painters who worked all week when we were there and stunk up the parking garage which affected the hallways.

Elvis Fan from Edmonton, Ab. Canada on 12/17/2009 said:
The location was great, the condo was adequate. They definitely need a new sofabed, it was very old and uncomfortable. The main problem we had was the street noise, coming from the bar below and the garbage trucks very early in the mornings. The building is quite old and could use some updating.Seeing cockroaches when we came out of the stairwell on the main floor was rather gross, considering that is where the restaurants are located. We would likely stay there again, perhaps on a higher floor.
Manager response:
The Ilikai Marina is in fact a quiet location. There is only a single lane access road separating the building from the beautiful Marina. The garbage truck comes and goes in the morning. If one is super-sensitive to sound the easiest way to avoid the truck noise is to shut the lanai door in the living room for that period of time. The bedroom is completely quiet if you shut the sliding door separating it from the living room. As the building is concrete construction there is no noise transfer between the units.
For sleeping the sofa bed is not as comfortable as the King size Simmons Beautyrest bed in the bedroom. However as sofa beds go it is extremely comfortable as a day time sofa. Extra foam has been added to make it more comfortable for a good night's rest.
The Ilikai Marina is always kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The ground floor has attractive landscaping, and is completely open to the outside, which is one of its charms. The building is treated for insects on a regular basis.

We managed to view three sets of Friday fireworks from our lanai. Our condo experience fullfilled our dreams and expectations.

canadian from Vancouver, B.C. on 04/01/2009 said:
At first sight the suite looked great, comfortable and clean. Then we found some small bugs racing around the kitchen counter the next day. A couple of days later we saw a cockroach on the kitchen wall. We told the manager of the building and she gave us some bug traps which did nothing to get rid of them. We decided we would just avoid the kitchen and not let these critters spoil our vacation. After we came home we sent photos which we had taken of those bugs to the person/company that we had corresponded with to secure the rental suite. No real apologies came back. My advise to to find out if they did anything to the bug problem since November of 2007.
Manager response:
The condo is now under new ownership and management.
In the summer of 2009, the condo was completely renovated with all new furniture, new flooring, a new kitchen and a new bathroom.
There has not been any evidence or reports of bugs this year (2009).

We've stayed in this unit for a week and had a great time. The location is perfect, the view is beautiful. Parking is not a problem, we always found a spot in the free area nearby but if you don't, you can park in the attached garage for a fee. Waikiki beach area is walking distance, shops are walking distance. This is just a great little place to stay if you do not want to stay in a hotel or you want to save a little money. The unit is a bit outdated but clean, comfy and nothing was broken. You will find everything in the kitchen what you need for cooking. Bring beach towels though since those in the unit are small and not the best quality for water absorbtion. We highly recommend this unit to stay in, and we will deffinately return one day!!!

Nice unit, great view. The plastic liner on the pull out bed was low quality, even our 4-yo daughter complained about it. The carpeting is pretty worn. It would have been nice to have housekeeping come in after the 7th day to do the towels/sheets. This was done for another unit we stayed in the previous year. We stayed a total of 13 days. The shower was a little dingy. This end of the building is subject to street noise from people outside of the restaurant below.
Manager response:
We appreciate the feedback. The carpeting is always washed on a normal basis and should not be a problem. We have not heard any complaints about the plastic liner on the pull out bed but will look into it. Interim cleanings are schedule at the guest's convenience. Just give us a call and we will let cleaning know to come in. I'm sorry the street noise was too much for you to bear but usually the noise isn't bad at all and does not cause a disturbance. Thanks again for the feedback!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this condo at the Ilikai Marina. First off, the view was fantastic, right alongside the Ilikai Marina with the clear blue waters of Waikiki to the left. After a long day of trekking around Oahu, sitting out on the private patio overlooking the marina was a great end to a day. The condo is centrally located at convenient distances from both the Ala Moana center and Waikiki, but still very quiet and peaceful in the evenings. The condo itself is very clean and well-kept with spacious and bright rooms. The wireless internet was very convenient for scouting out the day’s activities. I didn’t have a chance to take advantage of the surprisingly large kitchen, but it was a great plus to the condo’s amenities. All in all, an amazing find and I would definitely would return a second time and recommend to friends.

THE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR. There is an excellent restaurant right downstairs. The place is easy to find, and conveniently located between Ala Moana (main shopping area) and Waikiki (main tourist beach). Good location and value for a vacation in Honolulu. The kitchen is a nice one if you have to cook. Only thing is that that parking fees are quite high. You can consider street parking, abundant close by. Finally, the check-in procedure, or the lack thereof, is nice and smooth on first and last day - saves a lot of time.

In late February, we stayed a week in unit 1182 at the Ilikai Marina Condos. We enjoyed a gorgeous view over the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, Ala Moana Beach Park, and the Pacific Ocean. The condo is located on the quiet end of the Waikiki area, but within walking distance to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and the central part of Waikiki. There are also several lovely, sandy beaches to choose from, which are a few minutes walk away form the condo. Unit 1182 is comfortable and very well equipped and furnished. The kitchen contained everything we needed when we prepared meals, enjoying our own ocean-view dining area and lanai. There was a slight problem with a leaky pipe when we arrived, but it was taken care of very quickly by the Aloha Condos team. The condo building watchmen were also very helpful when we had questions. We had a great time while staying in 1182 and would definitely book this condo again for a future holiday.

The condo was just as shown on the website. Amazing views, neat and tidy. We had a great stay. A recommendation is maybe a guide/guest book in the room. We thankyou for the early checkin after a long flight. One thing I have to mention is that upon arrival the bed sheets had big brown dirt marks on them, they were clean but it looked like they were stained during washing. We used the spare set provided. Everything else was perfect!
Manager response:
Thanks very much tk1, for your comments! Regarding the stained sheets, we're very sorry for your inconvenience. We've since retired one set of sheets, purchased another, and are paying strict attention to their care and cleaning. We've also placed a guest book in the condo - thanks for the great recommendation!

This condo has it all. Well maintained, well stocked, well furnished, and well suited for a family of 4. We really appreciated all the accommodations and amenities. The kitchen, utensils, appliances, plumbing, carpet, and furniture were all in top shape. You can't imagine how relaxing a vacation can be when you don't have to worry about household things going wrong. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center and convenient route to bypass the heart of Waikiki. And don't miss the Friday night fireworks over at the lagoon. Also, very important, the internet worked! What a relief to be able to "google" our itinerary, finish up some overdue work, and complete a "last minute emergency" online exam. The only negative was the proximity to Yacht Harbor Towers (which was under renovation). It was rather noisy during the day, but, if you're out during the day, as you should be while on vacation, the construction was not a problem. We will definitely stay here again. Mahalo and Aloha!

Our first visit back in 10 years. This apt. was well furnished - new furniture and bed very comfortable. Kitchen was adequate for our needs since we ate out most of the time. Bathroom needs to be updated - especially the shower doors. Lovely view from the patio and we found the bldg to be well looked after with 24 hour security. I did read that someone had a problem with noise from the restaurant below, however although it was busy the whole time we were there we were never once disturbed by noise from the restaurant. I would not hesitate to recommend this apt. to other visitors.
Manager response:
Janet, many thanks for your comments! Your suggestion that we update the bathroom was spot-on. We're happy to announce that we've recently completed our major bathroom remodel. We've expanded the room, and have completely renovated it with top end materials. It now has beautiful tiling and slab granite throughout, a new cherrywood vanity with expanded counter space, as well as modern fixtures and improved lighting. Look for updated pictures and a revised floor plan on our website in early 2010. We're really excited about this renovation, and are confident that our guests will really enjoy their stay, now more than ever.

Just as the online pictures promised: a spacious, well-appointed and nicely decorated unit with a fabulous view of the Yacht Harbor and Magic Island. Our 3-yo daughter loved the pull-out bed and we enjoyed being able to retreat to the bedroom. The bed was luxurious and fresh. We can't recall the last time we slept so well. Although there is nightlife along the marina, the unit is high up enough so it is quiet. The bathroom had plenty of towels and the housekeeping crew does a great job. There are even spare towels and a couple of folding chairs for the beach. There are laundry facilities on site. The kitchen has everything and there is enough space to make pretty good meals and enjoy them. The dishes and utensils were good quality and the appliances worked well. The unit has free wireless Internet and it was not hard to set up: there is a cheat sheet that has all of the log-in info. The building is located near the HHV lagoon (renovated in 2008) and it was a short walk to the lagoon and the adjoining beach. We were in the water every day and our 3-yo could walk each way. The Chart House, located off the lobby, has nice atmosphere and great food and service. There is a casual pizza place around the corner that has a friendly bar. There are several other dining options within a block of the building. If you are renting a car, there is convenient covered parking in the building. You can sign up for a monthly pass at the booth if you are staying more than 10 days (cheaper that way and no tickets to lose). We'll be back. What a find this was.

We were told there was a pool.......Not! There was too much kitchen for us. All we needed was a coffee pot, microwave, and fridge. The beach chairs were heavy as lead and as soon as we got to the Hale Koa beach we rented chaise lounges, umbrella, ice bucket with water. And still had to lug the heavy chairs back to the car. The manager told us there had not been a pool access for two years. I believe part of what we paid was for access to a pool. Cooking smells permeated the hall. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The other furniture was some of the most uncomfortable we've ever tried to relax on. No, we would not stay in 1182 again or recommend it to anyone. It was overpriced for what we had.
Manager response:
Dear Mr and Mrs Jellison,
We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay. Please know that we've recently upgraded our condo with a beautiful new sleeper sofa, which has a very comfortable (and extra thick) queen size mattress.
We've also upgraded our kitchen supplies, and installed a living room stereo with iPod capability. New lightweight beach chairs will arrive within a week, to replace the older, heavier chairs.
Thanks very much again for your comments - We really want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

The condo was exactly as described and pictured. It was immaculate, comfortably furnished and had a fantastic view of the marina and Honolulu's beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was the best equipped condo of any we have stayed in from Paris to Amsterdam and the building was very quiet. The attached parking garage (while a bit pricey at $17 per day) was very convenient and secure with unlimited in and out privileges. The owners were extremely easy to work with and very concerned that all of our needs were met. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We had a local contact along with the owners' email and phone numbers in case of any problems - of which there were none. Our only initial concern was locating the actual entrance to the building. Our GPS couldn't determine that while the street address is Ala Moana Blvd. the building and parking garage are accessed via Hobron Ln. between The Red Lobster and Charter House restaurants. Having laundry facilities on the 8th floor near the elevators was convenient. Just remember to bring plenty of quarters and your own soap & fabric softener since there are no change machines or product dispensers. The only other comment concerns the carpeting in the hallways - it is in need of a deep cleaning and some TLC. This, however, is an issue for the complex not this specific unit. We had a great stay and have already told many friends that we would highly recommend this unit as the perfect place to stay while enjoying Honolulu, Waikiki and the island of Oahu.

We stayed in this beautiful condo for 4 nights and the ocean view is breathtaking! The place is clean, kitchen very well equipped, owner and his local agent are very helpful. We did have a problem with the old sofa sleeper as its mattress is super thin and sleep on it is impossible so we decided to sleep on the floor, hopefully the owner will get a better sofabed(or an air mattress)soon, but other than that, everything else is just perfect. I'm telling all my friends about this place, some of them already expressed interest and are waiting for more detailed info, do I get a referral discount next time when I come back? ^_^

We have an air mattress in the condo for guests to use now. Thank you for the great suggestion!

We have stayed in Ilikai Marina unit#1188 for a week,It was a fantastic trip. The ocean and marina&lagoon view are gorgeous. Also with it is convenient location(10 mins walk to world famous Ala Moana shopping mall), and a few mins walk to the beach, and Ala Moana Park that is really make you feel like you are on vacation. Most of all, this unit is fully furnished, and completely remodeled that give you a warm feeling, seems like to stay in your own cozy home.I definitely will come back again and highly recommended to everyone to book this unit, especially the price is more than a decent price

We really enjoyed staying here--it has all the amenities we needed and a great location for both our sales and for R&R. Right downstairs is the Chart House and they have great deals at Happy Hour for appetizers and drinks! The view at sunset over the marina is just gorgeous and comes up as a screensaver on my computer quite often. Bed was quite comfy an dit was nice to be able to have breakfast on our own. We will stay here again if we can.

I have been reading the reviews since we stayed in this apartment and I can only assume something was done about the filthy carpet! I just felt sick when I saw it. Cannot imagine who would be able to spill so much on a cream carpet - it was hideous. As for the towels, my dog had better, really worn and a grey colour. Have never stayed in a holiday home that was so disappointing. I got in touch with the owner who just fobbed me off! Chuck the manager was great with the booking payment etc so no worries there. I do agree it is in a great place, so close to shopping and a lovely little lagoon to swim in if you don't want to walk to far when it is hot. Also there was no electric kettle at the time and we had to boil up a pot of water for tea, microwave water just does not cut it. Perhaps another apartment would be better for future holidays for us as I would not trust the pictures on the Aloha Condo site.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review and we appreciate the feedback.
Our guests do sometimes stain the carpet and after several unsuccessful attempts to remove the stains by steam cleaning, we decided to replace the carpet with a simulated wood floor – it’s more attractive, and easier to keep clean. This was completed in November of 2008.
Although we have had no other complaints about the towels, our towels were replaced early this year (2009) when we brought in a new local contact and cleaning crew.
Both we (the owners), and our local staff make guest satisfaction a high priority. Guests are provided with contact information and we do respond to all our guest’s concerns. The recent positive responses from our other guests confirm that we are achieving this priority.

It's a beautiful apartment with a gorgeous view. I found everything within the apartment, such as kitchen equipment, very adequate. Ala Moana Shopping Centre is close by, which made self-catering easy, and there's a little supermarket just on the corner if you don't fancy a walk. Waikiki is also handy in the opposite direction but if you'd rather avoid it, you can. The apartment is also within range of a pay as you go wireless network, which was useful for me. I wish I could have stayed longer, and would happily go back again. Loved the constant view of the sky and ocean, and the marina below. The only draw back was the high cleaning fee. However, it meant that the apartment was in very good condition.

The condo now has free Wi-Fi (wireless) internet.

We are first-timers to Hawaii-still there as I write this- and were fortunate that Vlad and Gillian had three days available. Their condo deserves all the praise that it has received It was beautifully equipped with a full kitchen and was immaculate. The bed was large and very comfortable. Having a local phone saved us many extra cell phone minutes. The lanai is small, but fits two, and we used it often.. It overlooks the marina and the ocean. From the building it is a short walk to the beaches in front of the neighboring Hilton and to Waikiki, in one direction. There was good shopping close by. (At the Ala Moana Market Place, we enjoyed Mauana Loa Poi Bowl in the food court. Be sure to season the poi with the Lomi Lomi Salmon. The Island Vantage coffee stand in the court made one of the best espressos I've ever had. Our only problem was with WiFi, because I brought our old, less sensitive, laptop with us. Although there were accessible networks all around, I got the best, though still variable, reception by paying for the Metro18 network. We highly recommend this unit and hope to stay in it again. This would have been great at twice the price.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and Gillian and Vlad made sure it was perfect. The condo is even better than the photos show and was spotless, cool and welcoming when we arrived. Nice extra touches included ice in the freezer, filtered water in the fridge and a guidebook to help with things to do. There were also coffee filters and a generous assortment of spices for cooking. Truly fully equipped. The view was spectacular, the bed extremely comfy. Linens and towels were plentiful and of high quality. It is only a short stroll to the Hilton Lagoon and beach. There is an ABC store steps away and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The only negative was the poor attitude of the attendants working in the parking garage. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this condo highly to anyone else wanting a quiet, beautiful, perfect stay. Gillian and Vlad are awesome hosts. A special thanks also to Mary for making sure everything was so clean and tidy.

My family and I stayed in unit 1294 for 9 days on a recent trip to O'ahu. The condo was perfect for us! My husband was attending a conference at the Hilton Hawaiian Village just two hotels down from us- less than a 10 minute walk. From the Ilikai Marina I could walk with our 14 month old to the beach, to the lagoon, to the Ala Moana Mall (where there's also a full grocery store), or take a longer walk down into the "heart" of Waikiki. It was also a convenient starting point for driving to other parts of the island, like the North Shore and to Hanauma Bay. The condo itself had everything we needed and we loved having a full kitchen. The view from the condo is fantastic and on our last morning we were treated to a gorgeous full rainbow just outside. The bed was comfy, the air conditioning worked great, it was easy to park and easy to make all the arrangements with Chuck, the property manager. We rented baby equipment like a high chair and pack-n-play from a local company called www.babytravelmadeeasy.com. They provided a great service. The only drawback to the condo is there is no dishwasher. Since we did a lot of cooking ourselves, this was one convenience that would have been nice to have. Also one of the standing lamps in the living room had a burnt out bulb and the toilet tank seemed to have a leak so the water would run more than it needed to. We used the washer and dryer in the building twice during our stay and that was really nice to have nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was picked up and sort of clean. There were food scraps in the kitchen sink, the refrigerator was not wiped down, the kitchen had been swept, but the dustpan was not used to complete the task, the windows toward the extraordinary view were not clean, the glass top tables and furniture were dusty, there were visible dust clusters under the bed, and there was an empty candy wrapper on the bed. I called the owner within minutes to let him know the condition. I also called the individual in charge of cleaning. She did come a few hours later, and cleaned the sink and floor. I paid a $120.00 cleaning fee, and asked that the fee be reduced or waived. The owner did not call back either that evening or during the following 3 days.

When my family and I arrived at the Ilikai Marina, we were surprised at how close it was to so many sites. We were within walking distance of Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Mall and Park. We had a great view of the marina and a beautiful sunset every night. The room had enough room for the four of us and amenities like a kitchenette stocked with dishes and appliances, a bathtub with a jacuzzi, two TV's with cable, and a sofa bed for the kids. It was a great central location to all the places we wanted to see. We had a blast. The only thing I could not figure out was how to turn on the showerhead, but the jacuzzi made up for that. After a long day of sightseeing, the warm jets of water soothed my sore muscles and helped me relax on my vacation.

This condo was a breath of fresh air when you stepped inside, both literally and figuratively! What a wonderful view! With the lanai door and window open there was always a great breeze, and we didn't need the A/C. The condo is both well maintained and well appointed. A very nice kitchen and bath, beautiful cabinetry, very nice refrigerator, good furnishings and carpet (except the bedspread and dust ruffle which is badly fading from the sun)...it has a very comfy bed and pillows, good linens and towels. This is a very convenient condo, with easy to access parking (albeit expensive at $17/day and no monthly rate available as described). It's close to Ala Moana Mall, lots of different types of restaurants, shopping, beaches, parks, The Bus Stop, etc. From the living room and lanai of this corner condo you have a great view for the Friday night fireworks. We would definitely recommend this condo, and would stay here again! It's small... but perfect for a couple or a single person.. maybe even with a small child. The inside of the condo looks exactly like the online photos and description.

The best things I liked and enjoyed during my stayed was the view from the lanai and the left hand wall window. The beautiful sunset. I also like the furnitures, (the couch, the arm chair and the ottoman and the dining table set. The style, color and decor of these furnitures brings out the Island feeling. The location is excellent for people like me that don't drive. ABC stores was very convient, McDonald's is good for fast lunch and Red Lobster was great for dinner. The unit is alittle bit small, to me for myself would be perfect. For two (2) it's a little crowded. And That's the MAX.. What I was dissappointed when I noticed some dirty spots on the rugs as I enter the living area and I also noticed some discolored or rusted flaps, which that I thought it was dirty dust on the Air conditioner's vent. The TV was not working and I had no BIG TV to see for two nights. And finally NO table outside the lanai to put my drinks to enjoyed the ocean air. All and all I enjoyed my stayed and do recommend vacationers to stay at the unit I stayed #1480 instead of a Hotel, especially the conviences with the kitchen, where you can enjoy your delicious breakfast without changing your jammies.

We absolutely loved Ilikai Marina Condo 1480. The view is amazing, and makes the one bedroom/studio-ish type condo seem larger. The furnishings and "stuff" are great - very complete. Because it is located a ways down from Waikiki and faces the ocean, not Ala Moana Blvd., there is very tolerable street noise when the windows are open. The ocean sounds cover up 99% of the ambient sound. Some issues with bathroom wall electrical outlets - had trouble using my own hairdryer, and the condo hairdryer worked most of the time. Otherwise fabulous. We would definitely stay there again!

Ilikai Marina Condo 1480 was our first experience renting a vacation condo, sight unseen, using an Internet site. It was also our first visit to Honolulu. We hit the jackpot! Originally we tried to book Ilikai Marina Condo 1294 but it was not available for the dates we needed. My wife contacted Chuck Buser, the manager for the condo, and he suggested we take a look at Condo 1480 which was an end unit with a corner view and similar to 1294. We booked 1480 but we had no idea what a great favor Chuck had done for us. The information and pictures on the website were accurate and Chuck answered all of our questions and provided other helpful and useful information. The booking process was very easy and the follow-up from Chuck was great and his instructions/ directions were clear and easy to follow. The check-in process was easy and simple - open the lock box and open the door. The view from the condo is fantastic - A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW. The condo suited our needs perfectly and we found many little unexpected extras in the well equipped and appointed condo. It is also in a great location. We didn't realize until we got there how centrally located the condo was to most everything - within walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping and even central Waikiki beach. On the street level of the condo building, there are four (4) restaurants, Outback Steakhouse, The Chart House, Red Lobster and the Harbor Pub & Pizza. Across the street was a McDonald's and a ABC Store for basic groceries and sundry items. We saved a lot of money making use of the well equipped kitchen and we had a priceless view for every meal that many restaurants do not have. We were told about the parking cost ($17/day) since we had a rental car but we were always able to find a spot close to the elevators and with our parking pass, coming and going was very easy and convenient. There is even a security guard on site. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our condo. We highly recommend Ilikai Marina Condo 1480, Aloha Condos and Chuck Buser. Mahalo

The condo has a great view of the ocean, very nicely equipped for creating your own meals, very clean and the property is very safe. Just like being at home, only in Hawaii. Very good rate also when we stayed there.

This was our first visit to Hawaii and we wanted to make it a memorable vacation by staying in a very nice condo. The photos on the internet looked fantastic...when we opened the door to the condo, it was as exactly as it was pictured. Our expectations were exceeded by the little items that were available to us...ice chest, beach umbrella, golf clubs, Hawaii books, etc. Close proximity to the beach with phenomenal sunsets...we will be going back!

After 17 years of travelling annually to Hawaii we finally found a condo that lived up to everything it advertised. This condo was beautifully presented both in cleanliness and furnishings. The big disappointment wsas the pool at The Ilikai was not useable. We would absolutely recommend this to anybody comtimplating a short vacation in Honolulu. Aloha

this is our first time in waikiki beach and the condo is in a great location, close to the beach and shopping. the place is modern, clean and comfortable, it has everything we needed and the view of the ocean and the marina is great. we did have a few issues with the place, first the air condition was shut off due to the building is fixing the central air the whole week so it was hot for our entire stay (the owner should have told us before we go, it was a big surprise when we got there), it was so hot that we have hard time to sleep even with the fan on. also the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, one corner was sliding downward so we can't use it, my daughter just put the cusions on the floor to sleep. lastly, the street noise was very loud, maybe it's because we had to open the windows since the air condition was not working, but never the less, the unit is close to main traffic so we can always hear something. Overall, the place is nice, if the air conditioning was working, then our experience would be much nicer.

This was our 3rd visit to Honolulu having previously stayed at the Hilton Resorts. We wanted a place more spacious and with a kitchen. Ilikai Marina was perfect. It has the best view of the ocean and the marina. It was cleaned, well equiped and tastefully furnished. The location was perfect as well within a few minutes walk to various beaches, parks, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions and yet quiet and peaceful at night. Our one suggestion for the owner would be to include parking. Our only complain was we could not stay forever.

The location was great, right by the harbor. Walking distance to the beaches, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The apartment was clean and tidy and looked just like the pictures. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Room was clean. Bed Sheets were of good quality, Pillow was fair quality. Bath Towels and face towels ok. Bed a huge King, slightly firm and we slept well all except the first night. Drapes black out room quite well. The condo had plenty of items some condos do not have such as: Coffee Filters, Sugar, Paper towels, toilet paper, salt etc. It could be that the previous guest left some of the items. Great little kitchen to make coffee every morning. Huge Frig. Great to have a dining table in the room. TV had many channels. The view of the City/Mountains is very panaromic. Location to Resturants and ABC store is only 1 or 2 blocks away. The room is quiet, except for the first night when one of the neighbors was in late and loud with shutting their lanai door which really shakes up the wall. We got the room when there was a special rate, so all in all much better, bigger room than a Hotel in the same price range.

We found Condo 1785 excellent. The booking process via Aloha Condo's website was quick and easy and the email communication via Chuck was excellent every step of the way, from telling us when payments are being taken and providing the joining instructions, to answering any ad-hoc questions as soon as they were sent. The condo itself was very clean and well kept with everything you need. The main room is large and the condo has a full kitchen, cooker / fridge etc with a clean bathroom. The entire building was fairly modern and well kept. Its a 5 minute walk to the closest beach (next to the Hilton) and a 15 minute walk to Waikiki beach and all the amenities, shops and restaurants found there. Closer to the condo are a number of restaurants and bars, the Ala Moana shopping centre is a 5 minute walk, and an ABC store is over the road. The only critisism we had is there wasn't a grocery store or supermarket near to the condo (we didnt really look too hard) and there is some street noise from the balcony even when the doors were closed but this really was not a problem. Stopping here is a fraction of the cost of the hotels close by and you have the option of cooking meals rather then eating out. Its only 5-15 minutes away from everything you need which for us made it exceptional value for money without offering dirty, cheap and nasty accommodation. I would reccommend this condo to everyone!

This property has an excellent location for beach and shopping, clean and convinient. Perfect for two people. Kitchen is well equipped. My only suggestion would be to have 2 lounge chairs in the unit to take it to the beach. I am coming back next year and renting this place again for sure. Marina

We reallly enjoyed your clean condo in the Yacht Harbor area. From obtaining groceries, eating out, catching the bus or strolling the beach and docks your location can't be beat. Thanks for sharing! The building is clean and quiet and the residents are friendly. Sorry to see that the Ilikai Hotel is stalled in the renovation process. We had been there 30 years ago! However, the lagoon area is completely updated and the beautiful sunsets are still there.
