Aloha Condos Policies

 

Deposit and Payment

  • A Non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation
  • Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the checkin date.
  • A security deposit of $250 is also required and will be authorized on your credit card 7 days prior to arrival. A charge may result for damage to the condo, missing contents, keys, or for exceeding the number of allowed overnight guests. CALL THE LOCAL CONTACT IMMEDIATELY IF THERE ARE ANY ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGES TO THE CONDO OR INVENTORY DURING YOUR STAY.                             Monica M. Tavares  REALTOR RS SRS

Cancellations

  • Reservation deposit is non-refundable
  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the checkin date can have the deposit applied to a stay at the same Aloha Condos property within one year of the original checkin date.
  • Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to checkin will forfeit all deposits
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to checkin will forfeit all deposits and rental balance due payments

 

Cleaning Fees

  • All stays have a checkout cleaning fee of $135. Stays of more than 12 days have additional mandatory interim cleaning fees of $135. For example, if you had reserved the condo for 14 days, there would be one interim cleaning 1/2 through your stay, as well as the checkout cleaning after you checkout.

 

Checkin and Checkout Times

  • Checkin time is 3pm or after. As we often have guests departing the day you arrive we cannot allow early checkin or storage of luggage before 3pm on the day of arrival unless prior arrangements have been made. ( Please use the Early Check in Feature at the time of booking)
  • Checkout time is 11am. As we often have guests arriving the day you depart we cannot allow late checkout or storage of luggage before 3pm on the day of arrival unless prior arrangements have been made. ( Please use the Late Check out Feature at the time of booking)

General Policies

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in the condo or on the condo lanai
  • No pets of any kind are allowed in the condo or on the condo lanai.
  • We allow a maximum of 4 overnight guests in the condo
  • Please do not feed the birds from the lanai.
  • Bath towels are not allowed to be taken out of the unit.  Please use beach towels provided.
  • Potential Extra Fees upon check-out --Replacement cost for any missing/broken/damaged items of if any Extra cleaning is required.
  • We do our very best to have the units clean and in proper working order for your arrival.  Should there be any cleaning or maintenance problems please call your on-island contact at your first opportunity.  We require the opportunity to rectify any problems and will do so in a reasonable amount of time.

My wife, myself and our two daughters (5 and 1) stayed at the Illikai Marina for 6 days and it was pretty much close to perfection for what we required on our trip to Hawaii. The unit was spotless when we entered it and everything was labelled clearly so that we knew how to operate the electrics including the air conditioning etc. The location was perfect for us, as we were within walking distance to the beach (for our one year old, it was her first time ever touching sand), places to eat (including being above Red Lobster) and only a 10 minute walk to the ala Moana Shopping centre (which we basically visited everyday as it seems my wife has never seen shops before we went to Hawaii). We were never really nervous having a one year old in the apartment leaving us all to feel very comfortable in the unit. The cooking facilities came in very handy (looking for a way to make baby formula at 2:00am is not fun otherwise), and helped cut the cost of having to dine out three times a day everyday. The neighbours we saw were extremely friendly and the staff there were incredibly nice as well. I live in australia and basically booked the entire thing over the internet with a little help from Kathaleen when it came to tips on what to do and see in Hawaii. I have already recommended it to my extended family and do plan staying there again when we are lucky enough to make a return trip to Hawaii.

Extremely loud, no coffee, broken pool items, freezing air conditioner

This was the 4th time I have used Aloha Condo's to book a room at the Ilikai Marina. This was by far the worst room I have had yet.

The room is close to ground level, so it was extremely loud - people were at the Chart house below us drunk until 2am every night. We were not able to close our sliding glass door because the air conditioner was pre-programed at a freezing 60 degrees. Our sleeping suffered because if we left the door open, we would hear TONS of noise, but if we closed it, we were FREEZING and could not undo the pre-programming of the air conditioner. They also gave us only one blanket.

We carried the beach items down to Waikki, a good mile, just to find out that the umbrella was broken and had been thrashed. The hair dryer in the room was also broken, so we had to buy a brand new hair dryer - random unneeded expense. Couldn't use the balcony and sit on the chairs because they were also thrashed.

They left us ZERO coffee in the room, which sucked the first morning. Would have been nice to at least have a starter pack =[ They also only gave us 4 towels for 6 days. They should have left more spare bath towels in the rooms because after 2 days our towels were a mess from the beach.

The room itself is big and it is nice to have a kitchen. The bed was comfortable and we like the view.

Thank you for your review for the unit 394 at the Ilikai Marina.  Upon reading your review, we are wondering why you do not contact us about your concerns as we could have certainly resolved your some concerns.  

The air conditioner is brand new as the whole building is in the process of getting new systems and perhaps you did not know how to work the operating panel to adjust the temperature.  It is not pre-programed to a set temperature.  With a call, we could have helped you with that.

I am not sure what beach you went to but just outside the building and over about 1500 feet is the beach making it very convenient and a very short walk.  

If you would have called us about the broken hair dryer, we would have brought you another one right away.

The unit has the initial supply of towels and if each guest wants to refresh the towels there is a laundry facility in the building on the 8th floor for guests to use.  There is not a daily maid service as this is a vacation rental and does not operate as a hotel.  Therefore, we do not advertise or offer packets of coffee but there are lots of nearby quick stops right outside the building that you can purchase coffee on your way in.

These units are individual owners which have different items for use in the condos.  However unless the item is listed in our amenities they are not guarantee to be supplied such as an umbrellas.  We do not supply umbrellas because they just do not last and would have to be replaced often.  Whatever is in the condo that is not listed on the amenities list is just extra items that are a bonus if of use.

We stayed 11 nights. The location is 5 star.

We had no problem finding the Condo or accessing it. This location worked great for me. only 15 minutes to the airport. Walking distance to shopping, and the beach. If you have a car the parking is convenient but at a price of $20/day.

I have to give it over all only a three star. Based on the very dated and worn fixtures, and general condition of the unit. Its not "bad" but it really needs some love. If you are picky you will be disappointed. But If you focus on the great view and location I think you will have a good time.

Great location, central to shops, restaurants, and beaches. Quiet condo complex, and at end of hall away from elevator noise. Easley sleeps 3, but a family with 2 kids could do just fine too, the futon couch is a queen size in living room. Good kitchen amanities and full kitchen for us was a must to cater to food alergies. Would stay again!
