Amazing
Great condo, you can see the Laguna and beach, gorgouse View! 2 min walk to beach! Clean, air conditioned! Fully stocked with everything. Resturants walking distance from hotel! Great place to say ever better price! We will be back!

Breathtaking sunsets from the balcony!
Great location! We walked everywhere, ...to the beach, shopping, the mall, and great restaurants. The check-in process is fantastically simple. We are a family of four so the two comfortable double beds were great! We would stay here again if we returned to Honolulu!
—Funguy (11/15/2011)
Perfect!
This unit was just exactly as pictured! It was very clean and very comfortable - and very quiet. We loved how easy it was to get anywhere from this location. The unit was beautifully updated and when we return to Oahu, we will again stay in this unit! Loved it!

This unit was very clean. It has everything that you need,I took a hair dryer but no need, the unit as one. You can't beat the ocean view, we spent hours on the deck. The location was great, right on the beach, bus right outside the door. Grocery stores within walking distance. I guess the only negative thing I would say is that the unit probably needs a new couch. We will certainly stay there again

This condo just felt right from the minute we walked in for our six night stay. Fabulous views with so much to watch going on, it was hard to tear ourselves away from the amazing sunsets. Location suited us as we found the beach at this end of Waikiki much less crowded. The condo was clean with great storage and kitchen equipment. But it was the little touches that made it home from home - books, CDs, beach gear. We would definitely book this condo again if we come back to lovely Hawaii!

From beginning to end, every need was met. We were glad we had a harbor view. That is why we picked Unit 1304. Everything we needed was in the condo. The only "problem", for lack of a better word, was that at first we thought the only place to purchase food was an aBC store, where milk is $10 a gallon; however, we found Food Land after a couple of days, which was much more affordable. We didn't eat at the condo that much, but we preferred to spend our $$$ on activities instead of food from a "minit market". The staff was very attentive. We had a five-hour gap from check out until our plane left, and the bellmen were more than glad to store our luggage for a nominal fee so that we could make one last spin to the shops and to eat before we headed to the airport. He even scheduled ourshuttle to the airport. Bring lots of "tip" money. The Ilikai is perfectly located if you like to walk, which we did. We could be in the hub of things in five minutes. Our unit was clean and nicely decorated. It was very quiet, too, but the best part is the million dollar view. It's not the fanciest hotel/condo, but all services that are offered at the high end hotels were offered to us at the Ilikai.

I stayed at this condo in November and was in town for business and a medical treatment, but also wanted to have some nice time out. I got it all. The condo is very well laid out and decorated. The kitchen does not miss a thing and it was very easy to get groceries and take out the trash etc.I was surprised to see someone had taken care of little things which are not important but make a big difference, such as serving trays, corkscrew, plastic containers etc.The TV was very easy to use ( I am a bit technically challenged and do not like complicated remotes etc). The condo has very nice furniture, the internet worked all the time, it was quiet and of course has an awesome view. I really liked the booking process as well. Everything went without a hitch, my e mails were answered immediately and check in was non existent, just go up and open the door!I am planning a return trip for next year.

we stayed at the Ilikai in 1994 for 2 months and wanted to go back because it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is still fantastic, wonderful view of the harbor and the ocean, great sunsets from the lanai. Perfect location for condo, and a very quiet floor, unit is pretty sound proof, can not hear other tenants through the walls or ceiling. Supplies are plentiful in the unit, coffee filters, laundry detergent, linens, beach towels, beach chairs and a great little kitchen with whatever cooking utensils and appliances you may need. No need to bring your hairdryer, their's is just fine. Also a bill changer by front desk for washer and dryer located a few units from 1304. See the concierge early in your stay,to book activities so you will not be disappointed. Have breakfast at the Wailana coffee shop, pancakes are terrific with coconut syrup-did Ihop once and back to Wailana. Also Shorebird in the Outrigger is great for breakfast as they look right over the beach and have a great breakfast buffet, check for the coupons in "This week Oahu".This unit is best enjoyed with 1 couple, it would be quite crowded with more than 2 people. There is a sofa bed, but very close quarters concerning privacy issues if more than 2 people. On the lanai there are aluminum sliding sun shades, use them in the afternoon to shade the lanai, works great in the cooling of the lanai. The hotel bar and grill is good to. Short walk to the mall, easy walk to Waikiki hotels and shopping. Hilton Lagoon area has a great beach with a great view of Diamond Head. Find a tour to the north Shore, much to see there and check out the Byodo-in Temple, it is a scale replica of a 900 y/o temple in Japan. If snorkeling, try Ocean Joy Cruises, great catamaran and if you don't see dolphins (guaranteed) you can go for another cruise-book early in your stay, so you will have opportunity to go again,(free) sometimes the dolphins are sleeping! View Hilton fireworks on Friday evening from Ilikai courtyard.

We recently stayed at the Ilikai Condo Unit 1304 What a great choice. The view from the Lanai was spectacular. The transportation available right outside was great with trolley, bus and cab service always available. The hotel was great...the pool, the store, the grill restaurant...loved this unit and will stay here again. Diamond Head background photo opportunity around the corner on the beach and home of Hawaii 5-0 opening film shot --Loved it all and was blessed to have our young adult kids come and enjoy this memory of a lifetime before going back to college and starting a new job. Thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon stay at the Ilikai condo! My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and thought it suited our needs perfectly. It had a nice condo-like feel with a good view on the 13th floor of the marina and beautiful sunsets, although no beach view really. It was clean and very well furnished with all the amenities we needed. The location was great for exploring Waikiki which we drove to a few times and also walked to a few times since it didn't take too long. Could walk to a good beach directly via hotel beach access, but we ended up using some of the other beaches anyway. Minor issue I had was parking which is not included, I would recommend parking at the marina which was something like $15 every 24 hrs. I would say if you want an affordable stay near the main strip of Waikiki, then I recommend this place!

Good service from the taxi from the airport, shops and restaurants right through to the Island Express Shuttle ride back to the airport. Condo 1424 was ideal for us (2),comfortable with good amenities for us to prepare own food if required. Nice and clean with a great view. Very central for our holiday requirements (close to shops and beach and a million aBC Stores) The laundry was real handy (just have sufficient quarters for the machine which the Ilikai Hotel reception will oblige with). The staff and concierge were all helpful and friendly. We also booked our Pearl Harbour through the concierge. The location of the Ilikai Hotel/Condos were ideal for us as we could escape the bustle (and hustle) of Waikiki. We found when walking in the CBD there that slowing down in front of brochure cabinets was not good as trip and happy hour sellers seemed to spring out of nowhere. Maybe we had "Tourist" stamped on our forheads. Still all part of the experience. Also the beach is not as busy at the Ilikai end. The Lagoon and Friday Fireworks are a must. Will definitely plan to stay at or near condo 1424 next visit.

We stayed at 1424 for 10 days and it was awesome. My friend stayed next door at the hilton and I am so glad we stayed here. We looked at staying at the hilton but it would have been at least $250 a night and that is with no kitchen. By staying in 1424 we saved $100 a night plus all the food that we cooked in the room. We were still able to look around the hilton, which wasn't anything special. It's very overcrowded there. At the ilikai the pool is nothing special but for our 10 month old it was perfect. Especially for the fact that she ate sand every time we went to the beach. Also for the fact that it was not crowded.everyone just wanted to sun tan on the chairs. It was only once we could t find any chairs but that's because we got there midday. We made a Walmart stop at the beginning of our holiday and got most of our groceries. Its just north of ala moana shopping centre. I reccomend that you get your produce from the markets as Walmart doesn't have any produce. The view from the room is amazing. It has a huge lanai(balcony) on it. You can see the luau almost every night. But you can not see the fireworks. I am glad we were there for two Fridays because the first Friday I went by someone's review and missed the whole firework show. We saw a couple whales and a bunch of dolphins by zooming in with my video camera from the balcony which was really cool. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. There is all the posts and pans you will need. There is a blender. Kay was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything. Thank you for the amazing holiday. We will be back soon.

As I don't drive, it was very convenient to me that ala Moana Shopping Center is within a walking distance and that both buses and trolleys stop just in front of Ilikai Hotel. For me the Ilikai is in the perfect location right next to HHV and easy walk to ala Moana Shopping Center. Parking worked fine whether I used the in house valet or the public parking behind behind the building. There was always space available. My only complaint would be that 1424 was not available for the rest of my stay. For my next trip back to Oahu my first order of business will be to book Ilikai 1424. Perfect location, can't be beat! The condo is exactly the way the pictures depict it. No surprises! Everything as listed in the description of this condo is true to a "t". Convenience of the beach being right outside your door is a plus. The lagoon nearby was wonderful! I found parking in the parking lot "A" just adjacent to the ramp leading to the hotel is most economical. A little walk but I needed it after eating all the great tasting foods Hawaii has to offer. Beleive me, I'm not complaining.:) I was very pleased with the prompt actions taken by Kat. Had a few minor questions that were answered in a very short time. This is always appreciated when on vacation. Mahalo Kat for your professionalism. Very much appreciated. Washer/Dryer down the hall worked well. Be sure to get a roll of quarters, this is enough to do two loads of laundry at $2.50 each. A change machine would be a nice added convenience. Oh, nice to have seen security guards making their rounds on the property. Made me feel safer coming in at a later hour at night. The scenery from this room is perfect. Watched the surfers do their thing! Very enjoyable. Perfect for having breakfast on the lanai. No morning sun on you but this is what makes it comfortable. Fireworks every Friday night. Spectacular show that can be seen from the balcony. What more can I say but I'm hoping to be back some time soon. Cel

The kids loved the paddle boards, paddle boats and canoes in the lagoon which was a quick commute next door. Car rental is right across the street so there was no need to keep one the entire time and it was easy to find the cheap parking out behind the hotel. The beach gear was also a plus. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and lagoon and is very close to shops, and there are plenty of great eating options nearby. There's a lot of different parking options but we went with the hotel valet which was kind of steep, but well worth every penny...very convenient at the end of a long evening or adventure filled day. My only suggestion would be to have another mirror somewhere outside of the bathroom. We were there for a friend's wedding so getting ready with 1 mirror was tough, but the bathroom is very roomy so it worked out well anyway. We had some friends over 1 evening and they were impressed with the condo too. Communication with the owner was easy and she made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. Close to everything, shuttles, the pink line shuttles, walking distance to the beach, Ala Moana shopping, etc. We loved the clean and updated suite that contained everything we needed in the kitchen to enjoy breakfast smoothies and late night snacks. We could have cooked a full dinner, but we found the local eating establishments so numerous and tempting that we just kept eating out!!! Sorentos, the restaurant at the top of the Ilikai, was a real treat, too. Pricey, but the views and service are worth it. The bed is tre' comfy and we had enough towels for the whole week with a couple to spare. The views are spectacular, too. I highly recommend this particular suite, but would expect any of the condos represented by aloha condos to be just as wonderful.

The room was great. Clean and well kept. Nice furnishings. The view and location was also very nice. From the window you can see the ocean. Hang out and watch the waves. We could also walk to the beach in minutes and took many early morning strolls. The parking is a little pricy since it's primarily valet but it was actually kind of nice just dropping the car off and running up to the room without the hassle of looking for a spot. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend it to a friend.

This condo has it all. Top location, nice views and all of the amenities of the Ilikai hotel. However, I would not reccommend this for four adults. To be honest, we had an adult son with us and he slept on the couch that made into a small bed. Two small children would be fine. The unit itself was immaculate, the view is unbelievable and the Illikai is older, but it is Hawaiiana. I started traveling to this hotel in the mid 60's as a child and lived in Hawaii for many years. The location, the view, the clean well- stocked kitchen make this a beautiful stay. I would not reccommend this unit for 4 adults though. The price was great and we loved it- the three of us!

We found Aloha Condo Rentals to be very businesslike and accomodating. We were coming off a cruise and were able to get in a few hours early and thus did not have to sit around waiting. Rocco answered all of our questions promptly. The unit was a great place to stay. It is well equipped and the view was spectacular. The futon in the living area is, however, quite a poor excuse for a couch. The Ilikai is in a great location and we were able to walk the the shopping centre as well as downtown Waikiki. If we were returning to Hawaii next year,we would not hesitate to deal with Aloha Condos and would love to stay in this unit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ilikai 1424 for just over two-weeks. The condo was well equipped to meet our needs with a great location and a beautiful view. The updates to the unit are modern and make the space very pleasant. We have a 2-year old son. The unit was fine for us, but the balcony railings made us nervous. Unlike many newer balconies that are designed without cross-bars, the balconies at the Ilikai can be climbed on by an active toddler. The swimming pool at the Ilikai is adequate, but the lagoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village is just a few steps away and is wonderful. Rocco was attentive to our needs and incredibly responsive when we had questions. We would definitely stay there again.

The views of the ocean from the bed are beautiful and a nice way to start each day. The building is getting old and tired but the staff are helpful. There is only valet parking under the building which is great if you don't mind paying for it ($18/day). The Hilton complex next door provides plenty of shopping and dining facilities and a free view of the Luau Sunday thru Thursdays. There is also fireworks every friday night.

We just spent an amazing week in Condo 1424 at the Ilikai. The Ilikai is a great location, not right in the noise of Waikiki central but close enough to walk, catch The Bus or a cab and be there in minutes. A short walk to Ala Moana shopping centre and right on the bus stops. The condo has a gorgeous view of the Hilton lagoon and the ocean, It is only a very short walk to the beach and all it has to offer. The condo was nicely appointed, decorated and well equipped. The Ilikai is currently undergoing significant renovation to it's main pool and one condo block, this is well screened off and most of the courtyard is still accessible , lit up, gardens well kept. The Friday night activities and BBQ that precede the fireworks is well worth a look. We would definitely rent this condo again. Cheers

This was my first time to Hawaii and to Oahu! After a lot of debate whether to go with a hotel room or a private rental, this condo seemed to be the perfect mix of both! It was also one of the more updated interiors with great finishes. The condo has everything we needed for cooking, for the beach and for living comfortably! It was true to the pictures and even had updated shower doors and is very open concept. The best things about the condo were the keyless entry and the lanai! You can come and go whenever you want without fumbling for a key or card to get in. There were also many rainbows you can see off the lanai and enjoy the water features from the deck while enjoying coffee. The Ilikai has a great bar & grill which was very affordable especially during happy hour. It also had traditional Hawaiian live music and fireworks on Friday! I loved the proximity to the aBC stores (convenience), Ala Moana mall, and how it is within walking distance to the heart of Waikiki. It is also easy to hop on the highway and go to any part of the island. Kat with aloha Condos was great with the reservation and answering any questions I had before the trip and during. The condo at the Ilikai was great and we wish we could have stayed there for many days after! We even found ourselves missing the condo for the few days while staying friend's at their house. We miss it already and would go back!

Ilikai 624 had everything we needed including beach chairs, towels and even a small cooler to tote our lunch to the beach or lagoon. Beautiful views of the ocean. Condo was very clean and conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Was just far enough away from the overly crowded streets of the Waikiki Hotel strip. Even saw close up the filming of Hawaii Five-0 beside the Lagoon. Our kids loved snorkeling and paddle boarding in the calm waters of the lagoon. The Condo Management Team were awesome to work with and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner and most professionally. The keyless entry was a breeze. I would come back.

I must say I had the most amazing time in Hawaii this trip. The condo was incredible, not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The room itself was clean, convenient to shopping, and was great for the days when we wanted to just eat in. We saved a lot of money thanks to the full kitchen. We ate breakfast every morning on the lanai...great weather and view to start the morning off right! The check in was easy because there wasn't any! We did not have to wait in line or deal with the front desk. We went directly to the room unpacked our bags and went directly to the beach. They also have a little general store where you could get packets of condiments (ketchup, mustard, jelly, etc.) if you don't want to buy those things at the grocery store. I would recommend this condo to any and everyone looking for a great value, great location, and great view. The only thing I can slightly complain about was that parking was $25 a day. We had to pay upfront because we were not a hotel guest. I was not expecting that at well. Nonetheless, I got over it quickly when we got up to the room and realized I was on vacation in paradise!

This is our third summer in Hawaii. Each time we have rented a condo at the Ilikai and have been very happy. This condo had a great ocean and lagoon view from the lanai. Kitchen had all the conveniences except we could not get the coffee maker to work and there was no manual available. Wifi connection worked great. Bed was comfortable but seemed smaller than a queen and the sheets did not fit the bed well; either two flat sheets or the other set was not the right size. Loved the convenience of keyless entry. There was no access to the cleaning supplies and we stayed there for 13 nights with no ability to clean the floors or bathroom, that was a bit frustrating for us. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and convenient to surrounding restaurants and attractions.

Ok for up to 5 people. Off the main waikiki area which is a positive. Easy enough to get there if you want to, When we entered, the room was way too cold, so,although it says not to, we tried to adjust temperature. Unable to, so just turned it off and kept balcony doors open. Was never able to get air conditioning working again so nights were hot. Wieless did not work so had to use wired. Room a little dusty and carpets under bed not vacuumed for long time. Wish it had a small brush type vacuum so we could have cleaned up a bit after ourselves. We would come back to this suite.

Overall, a nice stay in this condo. I had to shorten my review, omitting alot of positive things because of flipkeys word limit. The patio furniture were not as pictured on website. Pictured are oversized wicker chairs with cushioned pillows that look comfortable. They have been replaced with metal/glass/hard-mesh chairs. Disappointing, as we spent almost every morning and evening out on the patio at least an hour. The beds are very comfortable. And the Duvets are really thick, heavy and hot! We had plenty of sheets/blankets and pillows for the 2 of us. The room is very cold. Even when you change the temperature, it doesn't change. The patio doors are connected to the air conditioner. If you open the patio doors longer than x amount of minutes, it shuts off the air conditioner. When you close the patio doors, it's supposed to turn the air-conditioner on again. It didn't turn back on for us. The first night we found out the hard way -- a horrible hot restless sleep, wondering why it was so hot in the condo. The next morning, we phoned the onsite manager and they had to call an "Engineer". The Engineer came in, took the remote, and clicked it on. Fixed. The remote has written on it "do not change" or something like that. Had we known that, we could have just done it ourselves, rather than have a horrible restless hot sleep. For a condo that's been recently remodeled in only the past couple years, it's already showing alot of wear and tear from previous guests -- stains, scuffs, discolorations on the walls, furniture, chairs and carpet throughout. Even though the place is "clean", it doesn't look clean because of all the stains, especially in the kitchen. It's too bad the suite doesn't have tile or hardwood floors. The carpet noticeably retains alot of dust, you'll notice it on the darker furniture. For people who like really clean places, I would probably not recommend this unit. For families, it would be great.

The unit is nicely updated and more important for us very clean. Mark was very prompt and helpful assisting us with all the questions we had. I highly recommended this apartment to all my friends. The location - right next to Hilton Hawaiian Village and the view overlooking the Marina are perfect. We stayed with our two kids and we all enjoyed the studio. The beds are very comfortable, the big TV is great and the aC proved very useful although we did not leave it on during the nights, it was not too hot. The building's pool is not really kids friendly so our 4 year old could not reach the bottom anywhere. The pool lady is a very interesting character but rude, she told us that inflatables are not allowed despite the rules posted on the wall which clearly indicated that inflatables that are not dangerous for other people are OK. My husband talked to the manager who allowed us a small floating ring. This was a very small incident really not important in the overall picture, I am just warning other parents with small kids out there. Overall our staying in unit 1927 was a very pleasant one and I am sure we will stay there again.

We definatlely would stay again, Mahalo!

Proximity to the pool, lagoon, beach, buses & Ala Moana Shopping Centre, Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks as well great bars and restaurants made this quiet condo ideally located. Its location in the building is also good - great marina outlook, close to lift lobby, laundry and refuse areas. Excellent and responsive on site property management. Only drawback - no drawers at all, except for narrow one in the bedside centre table and those in the kitchen. There is no baggage storage at the Ilikai. For early morning arrivals into Honolulu this can be a problem as entry to the condo on the commencement date is 3pm.

We stayed at the condo for 3 nights. It was exactly as I expected, based on the Aloha Condos information on the internet. The condo was just like a home away from home; right down to the decor! Loved it!! I even made scones for breakfast...good thing you had cookie sheets available. I would have preferred a bit more storage space (a dresser?) and hooks in the bathroom but for the 3 nights, storage wasn't a problem. I kept the clothes in the suitcases. It might be more of an issue if there were more than 2 people staying in the unit. The view was amazing. We much prefer this location over the busy/noisy Waikiki area. We stayed at a hotel "in the action" the week prior but much preferred the condo. location - enjoyed the quiet beach side by the Hilton, loved going for a 15min walk to the restaurants, shops of Waikiki but then coming home to quiet. Parking was a great deal as well! And, thank you for the internet service; it was extremely valuable to us. I have already recommended this condo.to others! Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful space for us to relax in. The lanai was well done and very comfortable. Good amount of space. Hope to be back soon.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Iliaki 1927. The condo was very nice, modern, clean and suited our needs perfectly, all the comforts of home. The open floor plan made the unit actually seem larger. The bathroom was nice and much larger than we anticipated. The view from this condo is awesome anytime of the day. In the mornings we could see the mist from the mountains, and the rainbows over the ocean. Many times we saw a number of sailboats. We watched the sun set and the enjoyed the nightly conk shell ceremony and lighting of the torches. The lights at night, from the mountains and the city were like twinkling candles. From the distance we could see flights coming and going from Honolulu airport. The location of this condo is another inviting feature. Many activities are within walking distance, the bus and trolley are also easily accessed. The beach is right behind the building and is easily accessed by the walkway. We enjoyed our early morning walks down the beach, and again at night to select a different beach front restaurant. The owner of this condo was excellent to work with. We hope to return one day! What a fabulous place to stay! Mark's unit was clean and modern, with every convenience. A great view and good value for money. Twin beds worked well because she says I wriggle too much! So it was a real holiday for her! Immediately booked it again for next year as soon as we got home. Have stayed in five different apartments in Ilikai and this was definitely the best with real thought going into the refurbishment. Can thoroughly recommend it. Scott and Angie.

This apartment is perfectly located with bus service at the door and at the foot of Waikiki Beach. The space has been totally renovated with two beds so I could share it with a friend and has an incredible view of the marina and sunsets. The only drawbacks relate to drawer space for longer stays. I would certainly recommend it to my friends and would return myself in a heartbeat!

We spent a week in Waikiki and loved it. This was the very first time we stayed in a vacation rental. The owner was very accommodating and replied back to our questions very quickly. Prior to arrival we were very nervous of what the rental would be like. We did not know what to expect. When we arrived, the condo was exceptionally clean and larger than expected. The furnishings were all new and the kitchen was supplied with all we needed. It was nicely remodeled and equivalent to a four star hotel room. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We were just mesmerized by the view. The convenience of the keyless lock was terrific. The location was good, next to the Hilton and the lagoon. We parked behind the hotel at the marina with in and out privileges and saved $15 a day. The only down side of staying in a condo vs. a hotel is it doesn?t have maid service. You do not receive a fresh set of towels everyday nor does someone come to vacuum or clean up. And that?s the last thing you want to do on vacation is clean up everyday. But for the price of the condo rental we had to compromise. There is no way we could have found a four star hotel room with a fully stocked kitchen and a beautiful view for the price. We definitely recommend this condo and would stay there again.

Our vacation in Hawaii was amazing. The vacation unit that we had was beautiful. It was newly renovated the year before and had everything you could want and was very clean and modern. The view from the room was also amazing. We would sit out on the Lanai quite often just to look at the view. It is also within walking distance to many places and if we needed to take the bus we only had to go just out to the front of the building to catch it. I would defiantly go back again.

We just returned from our vacation in Waikiki & our stay at the Ilikai Condo (#828) was absolutely wonderful! The view was breathtaking since we were able to see the beach & the lagoon from our lanai/balcony :) Provided with chairs, table & some beach chairs for when we headed to the beach, perfect. Inside was nice decor to make us feel at home, kinda cool tropical feel. Very clean & the bed was comfortable & our two kids slept well & comfy on the futon with linen provided. Nice white clean towels in the bathroom, roomy bathroom with shower. extra toilet paper, soap. Nice little xtra's. The kitchen was great, we cooked a little with pans provided, kitchen utensils, plates, great for some quick home cookin. Big TV for when we did watch, everything worked nicely. Air conditioning worked well when we needed it. The location of the Ilikai is perfect! Great coffee shop downstairs with the freshest brew, just delish! The beach is right outside! great view once you get there of all of waikiki beach & in the distant you can see Diamond Head. The lagoon was great for kids, my kids lived in that lagoon & the ocean for 7 days and loved it. We were able to relax & lay out & enjoy ourselves as the kids played, no worries. We had drinks at the Ilkai bar/grill downstairs in the courtyard, such a nice view of the harbor & beach. The pool was very nice as well, not huge, but just fine. The pool attendants were very kind as we chatted up some talks about the island & great places to hike. Found great little store inside the Ilkai downstairs in the lobby, fair prices & little last minute needs such as drinks, juices, snacks & little fun gifts to bring home. The hotel lobby was very nice with great staff, friendly & always ready to answer some questions about local events or transportation. Can't wait to come back :)

The hotel condo 828 we stayed in had a good floor plan, view, and was clean. It is just perfect for a couple who wants a short comfortable stay. The internet access was great as the log-in instructions were very straightforward. Its surroundings and location is ideal with easy access to shops and restaurants. The one negative was a beeping sound coming from around the fridge area on the last 2 days of our stay. Did not call to complain nor notify as we did not know who to call besides, we were out of the room most of the time. Overall, it we had a great experience and would definitely go back again. This we attributed it to Kathleen Petron who provided quality and the right amount of communication from when we first made our reservation till the end of our stay. She made the experience painless and smooth - Mahalo Kathleen, your service and timely communications helped make the stay a wonderful one.

All dealings with Kathaleen and aloha Condos were professional and faultless. We really appreciated the early check in the day we moved condos. Presentation and cleanliness on arrival was superb. We will be certainly returning on our next stay. This is our 4th condo booking in the Ilakai Hotel (we like to change apartments to appreciate the different views). The Hotel has a great position only 5-10 minutes walks to either ala Moana Mall or Waikiki in the other direction. We particularly liked the dedicated high speed WiFi/LaN connection, compared with the poor internet reception from the Hotel server.

Walking distance to the beach, nice restaurant, mega shopping centre where you can find anything and everything even a Foodland. Being on the 8th floor was giving a perfect view of the ocean. The lanai was well equipped for a quiet diner. The condo was even equipped with 2 beach chairs, beach mat-towels, cooler for picnic and for those with a baby a portable playpen. Absolutely nothing to say negatively about this condo. If ever we plan of going back, this would be our choice again. Thank you for making our Hawaiian holiday a dream come true. Mahalo!

The room was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. All the appliances worked; we prepared many meals in the room. Grocery stores are availabe near by and the Ilikai store is reasonably priced for last minute supplies. Easy walk down the beach to Beach walk and Lewers street. Only a 10-15 minute walk straight down ala Moana to the mall.Bus and trolley stops are right outside the hotel. Wailani Coffee Shop a great local coffee shop a short walk down ala Moana Blvd. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked our stay at unit 828 through Kathaleen at Hawaiian Vacation Properties. She provided excellent communication and directions which added to our comfort before and during our 6 night stay. The unit has been updated and has all the amenities needed, with the exception of a washer/dryer. But who wants to do laundry on vacation? We found the unit to be very quiet. There is a view of the Hilton lagoon and Waikiki Beach. Easy walking to ala Moana Shopping Center and numerous restaurants to choose from. A Foodland market is also within walking distance and enabled us to cook a few meals during our stay. If one wants to rent a car there are 2 agencies right across the street. We really enjoyed that we could walk in, drop our bags and start to enjoy our vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai. The location was good. The condo was nicely decorated and clean. A few small items could have been included. There was no wine opener and no Kleenex. The Toilet paper was cheap. I also thought 2 towels each for a 1 week stay was skimpy, especially for a beach location. Also it is right next to the elevator. The floor was quiet when we were there, but this could be a distraction during a busier time. The bed is a Murphy. Wasn't the best, but not bad. One more strange thing; the silverware was so small, looked like s child's set; tiny spoons and forks. These are all very small things and did not deter our stay. Ala Moana Park is wonderful and a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed having the beach chairs, small cooler and beach towels. If you have a car, there is a parking lot that is $6. for 10 hours. A much better deal than the hotel. It is right next to the Ilikai at the Marina.

My husband, our god daughter (19) and I have just returned from our 3rd visit to Honolulu and we stayed in room 828. It was the best accomodation we have had so far. It was large for 3 adults to stay for 2 weeks, the room is centrally located to washing facilities and lifts. The view of the lagoon and beach was fantastic and we enjoyed our breakfast each morning on the lanai. We even had sneak peaks of the Hilton's luau each night. The room is well appointed with kitchen items, coffee maker, large fridge and cooktops. There were even cooler bags and beach mats and chairs. Other friends of ours were also staying at the condos and our room was the brightest and most homely of all. The actual building is so convenient to the trolley bus stop, Wailana coffee lounge and in very close walking distance to ala Moana shopping Centre and car rental. We cant wait to get back to room 828 and would highly recommend it to all.

We stayed at the Ilikai Room 828 in late april. I had booked online, so I had saw pictures and new what to expect -- we weren't dissapointed! Beautiful view facing East, so we got the morning sun and the view of the imposing Hilton tower right out our window. There was 3 of us, and I got the futon to sleep on. Both mattresses left us desiring a little more comfort. The futon mattress is pretty hard/stiff/firm. The first night we also had to get used to the indoor air conditioning and heat from outside. We found by closing the patio door, that it got too cold. The only provided blanket for the futon was this very wafer-thin synthetic microfiber sheet/blanket that didn't provide any warmth. My sister, who always complains that it's too hot, actually complained that it was too cold as well. So the next night, we opened the patio doors about 1-2 feet, so we got the air-conditioning, along with the hot, warm humid air from outside. It seemed to work. The internet access via wi-fi was a pleasant surprise, as most hotels will say they have wifi access, then charge you an outrageous fee per day. My sister had her ipod, and it was fantastic being able to search restaurants and things on the internet while staying here. Although we mainly visited restaurants for eating out including Dukes and restaurants in the Hilton Hawaiian Village next door, the kitchen was well used. We stored drinks in the fridge, and used the microwave for heating up food. My sister even made omelettes one morning with a drink using the blender. There was no bath, just a shower, but it is a nice shower. My only critique would be that the shower head shoots out the water powerfully like little spikes, and there is no way to adjust it. Getting the TV to work, and to simply change the channel was very confusing. There are 3 remotes. My sister and I had alot of trouble getting them to work. It was only by fluke we got it working in time to watch the Royal Wedding.
Manager response:
Aloha,
We apologize for the TV/remote inconvenience. We will make the directions less complicated in the future. We are glad you enjoyed staying in our second home. Mahalo.
