I travel alot and this condo was very clean with new furnishing. The bed was very comfortable as well. Overall, I would rate Condo 1721 an excellent place to stay while in Waikiki in addition to the management team that took care of my reservation. Kathleen Petron was the person that I worked with and she is a person that you would want on your team and to work with. Thank you for the great condo at such an excellent value. I will stay at this condo again without reservation.

There was no check-in or check-out but I was able to get through to someone via phone to answer questions. The room was clean and comfortable, furniture pretty updated and a good flatscreen tv & cable. Access to wireless vs. cable internet would have been helpful. The $125 cleaning fee was not inordinate however, for 2 nights with no one to clean the room it's just a bit steep.
Overall, a good, clean, convenient place to stay and at $69/night a fair price.
Manager response:
Thank you for your response and feedback concerning our Condo at the Ilikai. The Aloha Condos website you booked from handles all of the correspondence and our system sends out all of the check in details, directions and procedures before you arrive. <br />
<br />
Check in is very simple, just go to your room and use the code that you receive in your check in details to unlock the convenient keyless deadbolt.<br />
<br />
Since our condo is a privately owned vacation rental we only clean upon departure. We pass on the cost directly without marking it up, so for only a 2 day stay (vs a 7 day stay for example) the cleaning fee is a larger percentage of your total cost. You just need to stay longer :)<br />
<br />
Thank you again for your insight and we hope to be able to host you again.<br />

This room was updated and very clean! Had all the modern amenities, every supply you need, a huge glass window/door. Right next to the Hilton and was an easy, quick walk to the shops in either direction (International Marketplace or ala Moana). Great view from the outdoor bar and the food/view from the top floor restaurant was magnificent. Rental cars across the street with lots of other restaurants in view. Also liked not having to carry a key around in my bathing suit!
I've been coming to Waikiki for over 15 years and I've always been disappointed in the outdated places we've stayed. Was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this room to everyone.
Can't wait to come back and stay in #1721 again!

I loved this condo! Will be back again and have recommended it to many friends. A little sanctuary above the city, walking distance to anything, shopping, food, beach, even saw Hawaii 5-0 being filmed on the ala Wai side of the hotel. Highly recommend this unit, great lanai, and quiet when you close the sliding doors. (I slept with the doors open, it was wonderful) . Full kitchen, immaculate place, the hotel is beautiful. Thank you so much Rocco!!! :D
Great value in a very comfortable condo!

I enjoyed this condo very much. It had everything I needed and expected. In particular, it was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. More specifically, I really appreciated the large lanai, the great internet service and the DVR with extensive cable TV package. I will very likely stay in this condo when I visit Honolulu next year.

Really well equipped studio ,perfect for the wife and myself, walk to everything, Lovely beach just outside the back doors of the resort. Very clean and comfortable accomadations with the ability to stay in and cook with the tiny but workable kitchen to save some money as prices are up there, especially when your having to eat out three times a day, and there is a very good grocery store within 5 minute walk. No complaints except 10 days is not long enough.

Everything was very good most especially the amenities was enough for s hort stay. It would have been better if the check out time will be mid afternoon. Most vacationers spend as long as they can on their last day and earlier check in like 12 noon. The room is meant for holidays and not business.
Great!

For those of you that don't know, the Ilikai has condos (owned by various owners and companies) and hotel rooms (run separetely from the condos).
With 2 trips to Oahu this year, one of with I extended twice, I've had the opportunity to stay in this condo, a condo owned by a different owner in the Ilikai, and 2 hotel rooms in the Ilikai. I feel this gives me a unique perspective on this condo.
I was completely satisfied with my stay in this condo. Now, my previous stay was in a different condo, which had nicer furnishings and an ocean/marina view. However, that comes with a price: roughly 50% higher cost, and that's one of the cheaper 'other' condos. You'll have to determine for yourself if that's worth the price difference; for me, it's not. The condo is nice and clean, and was mainly a home base for me; and I'd spend almost all my waking hours out experiencing Hawaii, not hanging out in my condo.
Communication with the owner all went smoothly. There are a lot of amenities; iron & ironing board, beach towels, a small cooler, and more. I also liked how the TV system has a DVR; it allowed me to record a show I really wanted to watch, but at a time I knew I'd be out.
NOTE - The owner gave me some info on parking, but due to recent changes, it's out of date. The previously cheap lots behind the Ilikai, near the Marina, just changing their costs, to $1 per hour, PREPAID. They monitor them, and they'll tow your car if it's still there and your time expires; hard to always predict ahead of time exactly when you'll leave. Also, the Ilikai recently reduced their valet parking from $25 to $18, with in-and-out privileges.
Enjoyable

We recently returned from our first trip to Hawaii, a long trip from Eastern Canada and somewhere we have wanted to visit for some time. For the first 3 days we stayed in 1721 and were very happy with the location and the condo. There is nothing the owners haven't thought of and provided for the benefit of those staying there. A very clean place suitable for 2 [ the pullout would be ok for children but it would be a little tight]. We loved the king size bed, the bathroom ,the kitchen and the large screen TV. The view from the lanai is of the city and helped us get oriented. It is also the cooler/shaded side of the building, not a bad thing when it is hot. The air conditioner in the condo is well positioned[ not too near the bed].
The cleaning service and local contact was super. We would definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful 10 days in Hawaii, and enjoyed every minute. Unit 1721 was
perfect for my needs. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door
until I (sadly) left to meet my taxi to the airport. The local staff were very
helpful and responsive to some assistance I requested. The condo was clean
and lovely, and provided a peaceful respite at the end of each busy day. The
unit is very soundproof - when you open the sliding glass door to the balcony
you hear all the noise that is blocked out. Everything I needed was provided -
soaps, dishes, beach items, extra towels and linens, etc. I hope to return to
Hawaii again some day, and would happily stay in Unit 1721 again. I am
grateful for the wonderful hospitality I received in this unit.

My husband and I took a short 3-day break in Honolulu and found this condo to have all the accommodations needed to feel like home. In such an expensive city, it was great to have a full kitchen to prepare our meals. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was fully equipped. We loved the location, surrounded by parks and with the shopping center nearby. We are NOT beach people so we definitely enjoyed the satellite HDTV, appreciated having internet service and the balcony was a great place to read the paper, relax and take in the city surroundings (although if you are looking for sunset views over the water, choose another condo.) The only things that we did not like is the couch, which we found to be rather uncomfortable and the somewhat musty odor. While the Ilikai is obviously going through some tough times (most of the storefronts and restaurants are closed) I was glad to see that their business center offered free airline check-in so we could print our boarding passes in advance. If we ever return to Hawaii, this is the only way we would go.

The Ilikai is located on the edge of Waikiki, which means it is close to the
action without being in the middle of all the crowds and noises. In fact, The
Ilikai is closest to one of Honolulu's best beaches -- Ala Moana Beach Park,
where all the locals go! It's much nicer than Waikiki's beaches which are too
crowded. Our condo unit was recently remodeled, beautifully furnished, and
fully equipped with everything we needed. Aloha Condos provided excellent
service. We stayed for a month!

Our stay in condo 1721 was outstanding. For only $75 a night we were able to experience the very best Waikiki had to offer. We have stayed in Waikiki 3 time before and were a little worried about the location but it was by far the best location we stayed at. Ala Moana was a short 5 minute walk away and the lagoon was the perfect place to take a 5 month old baby swimming in, not to mention the free parking (although for how long I'm not sure) that was on offer in the public parking lot near the lagoon. The condo was beautifully clean and VERY well-equipped, it had copious utensils and plenty of clean linen. I have already recommend Aloha Condos to several friends and one of them has already booked a stay. Your website is going from strength to strength (we used it last year for a stay at Napili Bay). It is convenient and user-friendly (especially for international visitors who find it hard to ring internationally with the time difference)I will definitely use your service a third time and know it will remain prompt, efficient and represent excellent value for money.
Thank you once again

We stayed at this unit twice during my one month visit to hawaii. Even
tho the parking is a little steep, its convenient to have it right at the
hotel. The room is fully stocked with cooking utensils and beach
supplies. The unit is a comfortable size where you don't feel cramped
and the lanai is relaxing. The city noise isn't too bad, you can hear the
trolly bells, which reminded me of San Francisco. The people at Aloha
Condos are very helpful and are willing to work with you in regards to
your schedule and budget.

We found that Ilikai Condo's location was very central. Walking distance to the Ala Moana shopping Mall and many different restaurants. Plus the pool, the lagoon and beach was walking distance without crossing the street, great with small children and very safe.
We had a spacious lanai and full kitchen great for relaxing morning coffee.Also beach towels were supplied.
My family rented three condo's and we all agree that we will come again.
