Best Condo ever
We have been coming to the Ilikai for the past 8 years and this Condo is the nicest we have ever stayed in. Helen Ting was extremely helpfull. Everything in the Condo was clean, neat, and beautifully decorated. It had all amenities needed and more. The view was filled with amazing sunsets every night. The Blowing of the Conche shell and torch lighting every night and the Hula show on Fridays were the icing on the cake. I can't say what we liked best because everything was top notch! A Perfect Stay!
I have stayed in many condos at the Ilikai in the past 10 years. This one was the very best!! There was planty of room for the 3 of us to comfortabley move around and store all of our luggage. The wall separating the bedroom and the rest of the condo was excellent for the 2 daughters to sleep in while I drank coffee on the huge lanai overlooking the yacht club and ocean...the best view ever also for the beautiful sunsets every night. Everything was included from ice-maker to beach towels...totally awesome! Within walking distance to all amenities like the ala Moana Shopping Center and the center of Waikiki. I will definetly be booking this one for my next trip to Hawaii! Thank you Helen for the Best trip ever!
Even Better than the Pictures!
We absolutely loved our stay at this condo. The colours and decor were soothing and modern. The view was breathtaking. The location was close to the lagoon, waikiki beach, restaurants and transportation services. Everything that was promised was provided but more. Thank you so much! We will be back as soon as we can!!
Excellent Choice in Condos
Stayed in this condo for five nights and could not have made a better decision for lodging. The condo is extremely clean, very well-equipped (kitchen, linens, beach items), modern amenities, excellent view of ocean and ala Wai Marina, and quiet. Given that it is a one-bedroom, it is quite spacious. We were in town for Uh's graduation ceremony and were able to host a dinner for 8 people very comfortably. Valet parking is $25/day which was a bit high (I thought) but it was well worth it given that nearby self-parking was $20/day. The valets were courteous and the car was delivered quickly. Online reservation process was effortless and owner response was excellent when contacted. Would highly recommend this unit and would most definitely stay here again.
Wonderful condo in a very convenient location
The rental was managed very efficiently, and the condo was wonderful - they thought of everything you might need. The location was convenient, at one end of Waikiki and away from the bustle of Waikiki central. It was walking distance from ala Moana Center which is a plus for shopping. The queen bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable.
Excellent stay - second time around!
This was our second visit to this condo and it was excellent! It's very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Not only is the building location convenient, but the condo itself has the perfect view for sunsets. We've stayed in 3 other condos in this building and find this one has the best kitchen, bathroom and furnishings overall. We definitely recommend it!
Excellent well equipped Condo in a quiet position.
Lovely well equipped Condo with wonderful views across the Marina. Excellent location for transport (Trolleys, Red aloha Bus, Tour Buses)and restaurants (Red lobster, The Chart House, Outback Steak House, etc) Several aBC Grocery Stores on the doorstep. This Condo is located on the quiet side of the Ilikai and only a short walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort next door and all the action of Waikiki. We will be happy to stay here again on our next visit and recommend it highly.
Excellent stay
Mahalo to aloha Condos. This condo was exactly as pictured. Beautifully redone. The view is great. We considered getting a condo facing the lagoon, but we are so happy we didn't this side of the building is much quieter and the view at night with the marina all lit and the city lights was breathtaking. Helen was great to work with and very knowledgable.There is so much to do in Oahu and this is a great home base and convenient to everything. Don't rent a car you can go everywhere by bus or trolley and all the tour companies pick you up in front of the Ilikai. Mahalo
Great condo, great location we will be back
Everything about the condo was as advertised and pictured on the Website. Modern, clean, well equipped, perfect location, great views, good price. Everything you need is close by from grocery stores to restaurants. The view from the lanai was so spectacular at sunset we ordered out and had dinner there on several occasions. Having a laundry room available was also helpful. Every possible means of transportation stopped at the front of the hotel. The only suggestion we have is that we found the sofa bed uncomfortable (felt springs through the thin mattress) and had to use it in the sofa configuration. That worked fine with us since we had only three adults. There is no question we would use the condo again on our next visit and recommend it highly.
Best condo and value for money
Right from the reservation to the details of accessing the condo was very well handled. Will certainly stay there again, because the sunsets couldn't get any better, sitting down with a cocktail.
Simply Fantastic!!
Sorry about the late review. What can I say, I will definitely come back again. There were little issues which were quickly dealt with. Clean nice condo with nice kitchen. Excellent sunset, location to avoid lots of noise, yet excellent place to be picked up for tours and also to shop. Helen was very helpful and met all my needs. On-site manager was also very easy to approach. I will be back!
Fantastic condo ! We loved it
This condo is beautiful. It is really nicely decorated and luxurious. The kitchen is equipped with the best quality appliances and utensils. The queen bed is very comfortable and there is lot of space to storage luggage and clothes. The bathroom with plenty of thick towels has a spacious shower. We were happy to have at our disposal beach chairs, beach umbrellas and nice beach towels. We were with our 2 kids and they were additional chairs either to eat inside or on the lanai all together. We took nearly all our meals outside on the lanai and appreciated the spectacular view. We appreciated too to have access to free WiFi and free calls. The condo is also very well located, a few steps from the beach and not directly in the crowd of Wakiki. This condo is perfect and we highly recommend this unit to anyone. Thank you indeed to have shared with us your little paradise!
wonderful stay
Ilikai condo 1639 is 5 stars in all aspects. it really was a home away from home. the owners did a very good job in everything. cleanlinesss, views, location, convenience plus the owners were very easy to deal with. thank you helen,
Perfect condo location
1639 was a lovely condo with the facilities exactly as they are pictured on the website. The condo was very clean and was a great location in Waikiki. Close enough to the action but a bit quieter than further down the beach. The waterfront view of the marina was delightful and the sunsets from the balcony were spectacular. Highly recommend 1639
Comfortable, well located unit.
Well equipped, well maintained unit on the quiet, cool side of the Ilikai with a fantastic view. Privacy screen on the lanai a big plus. Very well located midway between Waikiki Beach and ala Moana park/shopping centre. Small unit would be ok for a family of 4, but might be a bit crowded for four adults.
The best at Ilikai
Over the years, we have stayed in 3 Ilikai condos, and this one is the best. It is evident that this unit is professionally designed to be both functional and also very classy with the best quality appliances, utensils, towels, bedding, large flat panel TV, quiet air-conditioning, etc. It has many more beautiful and quality features. There is ample storage for luggage, clothes and stuff. The queen bed is the most comfortable we have slept in. The view is incredible, watching sunset over the sea horizon is priceless. It is the best at Ilikai.
Great space
First time in Honolulu so we were looking for a room that was both comfortable and efficient. This unit went beyond that. Great views. Centrally located. Away from the hustle and bustle of central Waikiki so you avoid a lot of noise and crowds. This unit is great and if we ever end up in Honolulu again, we'd stay here.
Beautiful surroundings
The condo was really nicely decorated and had everything thoughtfully chosen for our temporary stay. The kitchen had a lot of nice cooking utensils and the new decor is modern & fresh. The half-wall between the living & bedroom was great for when one person wanted a nap, and the other wanted to watch TV. The view was spectacular even while lying in the bed. I would definably recommend this unit.
A wonderful two weeks.
What a lovely unit. Very nicely updated and equipped, with a great kitchen. Spotlessly cleaned which is one of our main requirements.Condo 1639 is in the best location at the Ilikai shaded from the hot sun in the mornings and great sunsets in the evening. Always something to see from the lanai as it overlooks the Marina. We wouldn't hesitate to return there again.
Excellent in every way!
We loved everything about this condo. Great price, location, ammenities, cleanliness, ease of use...everything was perfect. It was nice to have use of the beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, & boogie board...we took full use of them! The bed was very comfortable and we could walk to the beach, shopping & restaurants - convenient! We will definitely be back. Thank you very much!!!
Awesome stay
My husband, adult son and I enjoyed the condo very much. The lanai's view is fantastic. The condo was very clean. It was convenient to many things. We did not rent a car, but we were able to walk to many places, the aquarium, the zoo, beaches, and many fantastic restaurants. We had TheBus for the longer trips. I liked the privacy of the bedroom set apart from the living room.
Very Nice!
The condo was very comfortable and clean and was well situated for shopping, groceries, and restaurants. The only drawback with the room was that there is no way to close off the bedroom area completely from the living room area. We also enjoyed the Ilikai Bar & Grille - very friendly bartenders and an interesting mix of guests. Friday nite Hula was fun and entertaining.
Loved it!
From the moment we walked into the condo we we felt right at home. The decor is beautiful, the kitchen had all we needed and the view in one word is amazing. The Ilikai is just a 10 minute walk from the ala Moana Shopping Centre which is a great place to pick up all your groceries. We would definitely love to come here again and take up our place on the lanai and just relax some more.
Truly Paradise
Condo 1639 was the perfect place for eelebrating our 61st wedding anniverasy and our 22nd trip to the Islands. It is tastefully furnished, clean and everything you could possibly need at your fingerti[s. The location is best, the bus line, and is walkable distance to the mall and ala Moana Beach Park. It truly is a gem. I would not recommend htis condo to families with small children, as one would need to close the lanai sliders, for fear of chldren climbing over the rail. Keeping the sliders open iw what it's all abut in Hawaii.
Beautiful Condo Unit 1639!
This unit is very modern, clean, & beautifully laid out. The views from the lanai are amazing, especially at night.The condo comes well equipped with everything you need..The towels in the bathroom are plush & thick. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked & beautiful with granite counter-tops & high quality stainless appliances. The owner was very nice & accommodating. We enjoyed our stay here & highly recommend this unit to anyone.

My wife and I decided to go to Hawaii to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. My wife spent months on the internet trying to find just the right holiday. She looked at all of the different hotels and weighed the plus' and minus'. We finally decided on Unit 1639 at the Ilikai. What a great call. We loved this suite. We actually had friends come with us and they stayed in a different room at the Ilikai so we were able to do a little comparison while we were there. Although their room had two beds there was no storage so they had to live out of their suitcases. We had nice big clothes and linen closets. Their room felt like a hotel room, ours felt like a home. They did not have the same services as us, such as free internet, free long distance, and our tv service was better. Although we loved the rest of Waikiki, this room was the highlight of our trip. The view of the marina is great and the sunsets are fantastic. The Ilikai is located at the end of the beach but this was not a problem for us. It is no more than a short walk to anything. We will happily stay in this suite at the Ilikai again.
Stylish, Immaculate & Great Location!
My family and I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in Unit 1639 at Illikai Hotel and Apartments. We loved every moment from the friendly greeting by the Porter who helped us with all our bags to the great location only minutes walk from Ala Moana Shopping Centre and Waikiki shops/beach. The owners have created a very comfortable unit although within a small area. It is probably better suited to just one couple, however we had our 11 and 12 year old daughters with us and they were comfortable enough sleeping on the fold out couch. I must admit given the cost I had warned my family not to expect much having stayed at places up to that point that were 2 or 3 times the price, however once I opened the door we were all blown away at how beautifully the unit was furnished. Also the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a family meal etc if you wanted. The views from the balcony over the harbour were also quite relaxing. Overall I found the unit much quieter than previous accommodation we had stayed in at Waikiki Beachwalk. The only thing that would make this unit better would be if it had laundry facilities but there really isn't the room. There may be facilities elsewhere within the complex, to be honest I didn't ask. The owners may like to replace the locks getting into the unit as we found them a bit tricky sometimes to get open. Other than that I would honestly say that if you are a couple looking to stay in Honolulu you couldn't do any better. Thoroughly recommend and if we come back to Honolulu it is definately where we will stay!

Stayed at Ilikai #1639 for 5 nights. It was a very nice place. Updated decor. Clean. Great location. My first trip to Hawaii and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Booking was very easy and everything went smoothly. I would stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.

We couldn't ask for more
This condo is beautiful. Beautifully decorated, beautiful view, beautiful accomodations. Everything about the condo was luxurous. The apliances were all modern which we were expecting because of the photos. What I was delightfully surprised about was the super high thread count sheets on both the master bed AND for the pull out couch. In addition, the bath towels were luxureous! We had just finished a 6 night stay at the Hyatt down the road and the quality level of linens here blew the Hyatt away!! Thank you sooooo much! I loved that everything we could want or need in the condo was there. My children especially loved having the use of a boogie board and I loved the beach chairs. The only thing that I could complain about was that there was construction going on at the building next door and so we could not enjoy the lanai in the morning or afternoon because the jack hammering was too loud.

Lovely condo, great use of space with reno. as we looked at the ones for sale. Have recommended this unit already. Helen was very helpful Our stay was like being at home. Would have liked some granite cleaner. Watch your cleaning staff, rather costly for the amount of work done in an hour. The bed was very comfortable. Internet and phone was a real bonus. An enjoyable place to stay
FWe had a good time in Hawaii. We enjoyed our stay. We found everything clean and working well. We made our breakfast every day and sat on the lanai every morning. It was nice sitting out and looking at the sunset in the evenings. We found it to be the perfect place for location. The beach was a five minute walk and they were clean and relaxing. The super mall was about a five minute walk as well. The whole time I felt safe walking around which is one of the best things I liked. I would definatly go back and rent unit 1639. The owner was very nice and we appreciate everything she did to make our stay feel like home. Mahalo Don & Faye
Amazing space and view
Truly a great unit! Everything we needed was there, from cooking utensils to shampoo and boogie boards. The furnishings and floor plan were wonderful, allowing open space and privacy. The views and sunsets are exceptional from the patio. Very friendly people in and around the building and very close to everything. Helen was very prompt and thorough with check in information and followup questions, thank you for your assistance when my wife locked herself out. We would definitly book this again.
Great experience
This was our first time renting a condo instead of staying at a hotel and I can definitely say I would go back again. The condo was very nice, it had everything we needed and was in a great location. We had three small children and having a full kitchen was wonderful. The only downside was that the pool was being renovated during our stay, but since the beach was only a 5 minute walk we really didn't mind.
Pretty nice first time in Oahu, thanks to this condo.
Really good interior design -- its a small space, but the layout really compliments the area so you never feel cramped or overcrowded by the furniture. Very modern and very clean. Although the boats were not much to look at, the sunrise/sunsets from this condo were awesome. You can even spot the surfers on the distant beach, and see regular cruise ships and freighters pass by. Our only concerns were the sliding door lock and the main bed. We had our 3yr with us, and there was no way to securely shut the door -- so ended up barricading the doors at night with furniture...lol. That and the main bed was really uncomfortable -- our son definitely scored with the comfy sofa bed. Re: Ilikai in general - many stores downstairs (lobby area) and the on-location restaurant were boarded up and vacant during our stay, so it has seen better days. The hotel next-door (what you see from lanai) is still undergoing renovation, but construction noise was not an issue. So barring the lobby area, the courtyard gardens were gorgeous. Plus every evening they light the torches outside and have a brief conch shell ceremony around sunset. Also has to be mentioned -- the shared lagoon in walking distance directly before the beach was awesome. They stock it with tiny fish, so all the kids had a blast trying to spot/chase/catch them. Turned out to be a lifesaver when we found out our son thought the sound of waves was 'too scary'!

Heck of a Great Time
Really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was extremely clean, and well supplied. The condo was very modern right down to email access and a DVD player. Enjoyed having the full kitchen which made breakfasts very enjoyable on the lanai overlooking the beautiful view of the ocean. Highly recommend this property to anyone! We will definitely consider staying here again.
Fairly nice
The Ilikai is not as well maintained as we would have hoped. The neighboring hotel (which is part of the view) appears to be condemned or forgotten, with windows papered over and a pool full of brown water. The condo itself was nicely appointed, but the building fire alarms went off repeatedly in the night, requiring us to at least get up and call the desk, and at worst carry our frightened 5-year-old down many flights of stairs in the middle of the night. Could be a nice vacation spot after building and area maintenance are completed.
Beautiful, Clean, Recently Renovated-Outstanding!
This is an extremely beautiful Condo ... the unit was recently renovated and was by far the cleanest rental unit that I have ever stayed in. The views from the Condo are beautiful - suggest that anyone considering staying on Oahu consider this Condo.
