great place close to everything!!
My husband and i stayed here for our honeymoon in December. the room is on the 11th floor of the ilikai and it has an amazing view! While we stayed there we were close to everything from food to nightlife to sight seeing... overall this room was the perfect choice. The bed is very comfortable and if you hang out on the lanai in the evening you may get to watch the luau on top of the Hilton ..if we end up in oahu again we will stay here.

We spent over a week at this condo with our 2 teenagers. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The king size bed was perfect and having a fully furnished small kitchen was great for breakfast, leftovers & eating in. Our lanai had a beautiful view of the ocean. There was also a handy coffee shop downstairs for our morning mochas, a small grocery store and other shops. The location was perfect for walking to the beach or to local town attractions or catching the bus for daily adventures.

Check in was so easy and convenient without the need of room card keys. Kitchen had everything you need to cook, bake and what ever you have in mind. King bed and full bed can easily fit 5 adults. The view is spectacular plus Friday fireworks and Luau from Hilton next door was a bonus. We use the beach chairs and coolers to go the beach everyday plus took with us when we drive around the island. Rice cooker and coffee maker was great because we make coffee every morning and cook rice everyday. We shop for groceries, food at china town and walmart. Save a ton of money cooking our food and eating healthy. We also bought a boogie board for our son but left it behind to let the next renter enjoy. Have already referred this hotel to everyone at our work. Looking forward next year to come back and reserved condo 1118. We didn't have to contact Kathaleen about reservation because she provided superb information to checking. Thank you so much Kathaleen, we had an awesome 2 week stay at condo 1118!
Awesome view, so relaxing!
The condo is comfortable and very clean. We spent hours on the lanai, enjoying the water activity: ships, boats, surfers, paddlers, kayakers. We didn't cook, but appreciated the coffee maker and nice kitchen. We will be back!

This condo was perfect for my family. There was 4 of us, and we had plenty of room. We ate several of our meals on the lanai, enjoying the fantastic view. Walmart is within walking distance, so we were able to get some groceries there, which saved us a lot of money.
almost perfect..
despite the "aged" appearance to the exterior of the hotel, the condo was stylishly furnished and comfortably clean. it was roomy enough for four adults and the lanai served as a great dining area. the view was not breathtaking but definitely cannot complain about waking up to seeing the ocean. I would reserve this particular condo again and would recommend it to friends who are looking for what we were looking for-- reasonable rate, clean, kitchenette, good location. extreme downside: $25+ parking everyday

We were a little unsure about booking something online from a rental company that we knew nothing about. But our experience with this condo dispelled all fears. The view was great and the location was perfect. Of course, it is not on the beachfront, but it is the next best thing. It is a short walk to the beach in front of the Hilton. The Hilton lagoon is open to the public...perfect for a relaxing swim or for kids to play. And the ala Moana Beach Park (highly recommended) is a longer walk, but still doable if you're not carrying too much. The bus stops right at the corner next to the building so everything is more or less convenient. The service was good. All questions were answered in a timely manner and the room had everything we needed. The bed is comfortable, the linens in good supply, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Being on the 11th floor was no problem. There are plenty of elevators and they run very quickly. One unexpected advantage of the room was that we could watch the luau on the rooftop of the Hilton every night from our lanai! It was a little loud sometimes, but nothing that closing the door didn't block out. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. If we decide to stay in Waikiki again, we will certainly try to book this condo.
Great location - comfortable stay
We traveled to Illakai from australia on our way to the USa/Canada. The location of Illakai was excellent, away from the buzz of central Waikiki but still within walking distance (15mins from Illakai to the other end of the beach). Having a kitchen in the condo was fantastic as we were able to walk to Wal Mart and get some general supplies for those times we didn't feel like eating out. Our only criticism of the condo would be the air conditioning. Whilst it wasn't too hot in Hawaii during our stay the air conditioner still needed to be on and was very noisy. The kitchen and bathroom in the condo is dated but still comfortable and clean. Having access to things like beach towels, mats, chairs, cooler etc was really great!
