What others are saying
My family and I stayed here during a recent trip to Hawaii. We loved the location and the view from the lanai was beautiful. The room was within walking distance to the beach or the lagoon. It was also centrally located to anything that one may need. The room was fully stocked with everything needed for the stay; towels, beach towels, kitchen utensils, etc. There are also books and DVDs for down time. Our only complaint would be the parking. There is no "free" parking. There is free daily parking by the beach but its not overnight, hourly parking across the street (25 cents an hour)by the harbor or valet parking at the hotel for $25 a day. We opted for valet parking as the easiest and least stressful. Plus, with valet parking, you can pull right up and empty your trunk. The backside of the hotel offers only stairs. However, we would definetely stay again if we return to Hawaii.

Got a great deal on the value of the Condo for the few days that we stayed. Condo is right beside the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was nice to be able to walk down to the Hilton Lagoon and use that area to access Waikiki. Don't valet the car with the building. There is public parking behind the building with really low hourly rates.
Within walking distance (10min) to all Waikiki has on the main shopping strip and Waikiki Beach..
Overall, I would definitely recommend this condo and would consider staying again if I go back to Honolulu.

This apartment is perfectly located with bus service at the door and at the foot of Waikiki Beach.
The space has been totally renovated with two beds so I could share it with a friend and has an incredible view of the marina and sunsets.
The only drawbacks relate to drawer space for longer stays.
I would certainly recommend it to my friends and would return myself in a heartbeat!

From the moment we arrived, it was a wonderful experience. No checking in at the desk in the Lobby, and no waiting for the room to be ready either. We were lucky that no-one else stayed the days before we arrived, so 10am was our check-in. We went straight up to our room, keyed in our number, then opened the box up for our key.
The home was so comfortable, with everything we could want. We had even taken a kettle with us, just in case, but there was an electric jug. The walking map, and trolley map, and welcome canvas bag were lovely touches as well.
The location was superb, and we never tired of watching the ocean or the Hilton Hotel guests frollicking in their pools. The Fireworks on Friday night, well, we had a birds eye view. I video taped the whole thing, while my Husband took photos. There was also a Luau nearly every night as well, which we could see well enough not to have to book tickets to, on the rooftop of the Hilton.
The bed was comfortable, however, the sheets were not big enough obviously, as they never tucked in properly, which meant that by morning, we were sleeping on hardly any sheet at all. The pillows were nearly non-existent as well. We also had to buy two water glasses, as there was only one cracked wine glass. Little things really when you think about it. Washing dishes and towels was never a chore either.
However, we really couldn't say enough about the whole experience. From our contact,"Rocco", to asking for help with the Internet, we couldn't have had better service.
We will definitely stay here again, in a Condo, as it was a much nicer experience for us. We had stayed at the Ilikai in 2008 in a Hotel room, about 5 floors above the one we had this year, and in the same wing. To not have to do any paperwork etc. when you arrive, was so nice. It felt like our own room, not part of the Hotel.
Thank you Aloha Condos for making our holiday affordable, and a wonderful experience.
Happy love 2 travel.

My husband and I stayed in Ilikai Unit 1512 for 3 nights while celebrating our 15 year anniversary. The condo was very comfortable and conveniently located. While it's not right in the mist of the action of Waikiki it's only a pleasant stroll away. The Ilikai is located on the far end of the beach near the Hilton Hawaiian Village for 1/3 or less of the price. The owner, Eleanor, even surprised us with a bottle of champagne as an anniversary gift! Highly recommend this unit!

We rented the place on our last leg of our first trip to hawaii after
staying in Maui. The first time we stepped into the door was heart
stopping as the place exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for us
as we required a kitchen which was in excellent condition with all
utensils. We had beautiful weather with great views which made our
stay feel like a dream. It looked so much better than the pictures
especially the TV. We had no problems at all with anything, it was
simple as the keys were in the door safe as per email everything was
there, it was close to the beach, transport, trolleys and Ala Moana
Shopping centre. I really recommend the place as we really did.

This place was perfect for us. We had our own well equipped kitchen and our own balcony overlooking the water.
The only downside was that our flight didn't leave until 10:00 p.m. and we had to be out of the room by 11:00 a.m. We had to stay by the pool for the day with our luggage poolside as well. Front desk didn't seem to be very accommodating.
Could not of been better!

My wife and I chose Ilikai Hotel 1512 during our stay in Waikiki and we can both say we are pretty picky when it comes to where we stay when traveling abroad. I have only good things to say about condo 1512 and made our stay more enjoyable! The room was really clean and the location was really good. We had no issues checking in and checking out. Lastly, the price could not be beat! I would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Condo1512 at the Ilikai. It was exactly as it looked on the web site (that's always a worry). It was clean, very conveniently located for us and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Having the laundry room across the hall was great and also the closeness to both elevators (normal and bathing suit) was a plus! We would definitely recommend the condo to others. We did suggest that the owner put a fan in the bathroom (for elimination of steam, for noise filtering, etc. The Condo was just perfect for us! Mahalo and Aloha!

I stayed at Ilikai for a 8 days. It has a nice, spacious lobby area that opens to the back of the hotel and a small bar. Nice picture taking. The apartment was big enough for 3 adults with a king size bed and sofa bed. The kitchen had all required appliances available. Bathroom was a good size with shower, not a bathtub. There is balcony that looks over the back of the hotel facing the ocean. There is partial ocean view as the balcony also faces the back of another hotel. Location is ok - it's about 20 mins walk from Waikiki beach (which is quite long - Ilikai is on one end of Waikiki). It is 10 mins walk to Ala Moana, the main shopping complex. Easy to get to the bus stops at Ala Moana. Coffee places, convenience store and restaurants are all near Ilikai. I enjoyed the apartment, it's very comfortable for long term stay. It made me feel at home.

Having a kitchen is a bonus.Beach towels and mats for the beach were also included.
We will be back and highly recommend to our friends. Enjoy

We spent a week here, and it was good time.
Our granddaughter found found a lot of toys in the room to play at the beach, and we enjoyed reliable and fast wireless internet connection.
Kitchen had everything we needed. However there were some issues - when we arrived, internet and even phone services were disconnected,
We spent some time to figure out what need to be plugged in into what. But finally everything worked fine. There also was a problem with bathroom drain at some point, but it was fixed quickly. We would recommend this property.

I love the Ilikai for it's Views, location and history, but it's getting old. The condo is remodeled and very nice, but the building is in need of some major work. I was sorry to see that the condo owners and the developer who wanted to remodel the place couldn't aggree, so he pulled out. It's kinda like a ghost town in the shop areas down stairs.
The owner of my condo and the Alohacondos people we delt with were great. Thanks for the memories. Andy

We were 3 females in an open floorplan bachalor suite - our opinion - more suitable for a couple or 2 persons only. Sofa bed uncomfortable to sleep on.
This apartment is small but very clean. Nice furnishings, modern, bright - lovely view of the lagoon and Pacific Ocean from a balcony with a privacy shield. Fully equipped and clean kitchen - immaculate bathroom.
We all would return.
BUT REMEMBER: you are renting a condo that is located in an old hotel. All of the shops on the main floor were closed accept a small food store that was extremely overpriced. No restaurants/gift stores etc. You will not receive any assisance from Hotel Staff. Parking is extremely overpriced for condo rentors. You are not welcome at the pool. Yes you can use it but the other owners will not make you feel welcome.

the room was super clean when we got there, great view of the city, and it was really nice to have our own kitchen because many of the restaurants on waikiki beach were pricy. the air conditioning was also a great feature because it was very hot while we were there. Definitely recommend this place to travellers! One thing that disappointed me was when we had to check out, my boyfriend forgot his shoes in the closet. when we came back a few hours later they were gone. We tried to phone the number given to us if we had any questions or problems and it was no longer in use. The concierge downstairs couldn't help us because it was a condo not a hotel room, so the cleaning service was privately hired. A little disappointing, but did not ruin our trip.

Although there's no place like home the condo was quaint and we made it our own. Our contact had everything we needed right at our fingertips.

I took my 6 year old for a Hawaiian vacation in October and we stayed at the Ilikai in Waikiki. Suite 2021 had a huge king size bed and a lanai overlooking downtown, which was cheaper than overlooking the beach but with massive construction at the hotel next door combined with the cars on Ala Moana Blvd we found it to be quite noisy. The room itself was clean and well stocked, with beach towels and a few beach toys and a good kitchen with everything you'd need to cook up some meals. It is a short walk to the Ala Moana shopping centre with a great food court and of course lots of shopping. Walking out the rear of the hotel you first come to a wonderful lagoon with calm waters and a nice clean beach. From there you are on Waikiki beach and have access to all the surfing and shopping within a few minutes walk. I would definately recommend a stay at this hotel!

The room was wonderful, we had a great view and although we did have an air conditioner we preferred the breeze that swept through our apartment. We love that the beach is just a few steps from the hotel and that the mall and the international market is just a short walk, it's very convenient and very comfortable. We had only one problem when we stayed there an that was that the oven didn't work, but I'm sure they will have that taken care of ASAP. Would most definitely recommend this condo as well as Aloha Condos!!!!

This was probably the best value on or near Waikiki. The condo was just the right size for 2 people. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were there when they had to swap out a generator and we were without electricity for a few hours during the night and that triggered some other minor problems with the safe and the oven buzzer. But the staff took care of it promptly and gave us a $50 refund for our trouble. Everything is very clean and updated. We were impressed with what we received for our money. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in in the heart of Waikiki. If you rent a car its worth it to do the valet parking. Parking is a premium in the area and difficult to find. Thanks for a great time.

We spent 10 days at the Ilikai condos and is was amazing. Our apartment 1640 was exactly as described, with modern and tasteful furniture and everything you need to be self contained. This is the first time that we have stayed in a condo rental instead of a hotel --and it couldn't have been better. The Ilikai is close to and has amazing views of the lagoon and beach and is only a short 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of Waikiki. It was easy to book and the communication with Rocco was fantastic. The check in procedure was sent to me via email and worked perfectly.
Even though the outside of the Ilikai looks a little old inside is in top condition and this unit was well presented and spotless.
We'd definitely recommend this unit. Having a full kitchen was a real bonus enabling us to cook most of meals and eat them on the fabualous lanai. I would recommend this unit to any couple wanting privacy, comfort and a great location.
