Beachside/Ocean view condo 212 is only 15 steps away from the beautiful white sand beach of Napili Bay. Away from the hassle and congestion of high rise resorts, the bay is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and just plain relaxing in the sun or shade of a tall palm. This is the real Hawaii where children (and adults) play happily in the surf and the living is easy.
We really enjoyed being so close to the beach. Its a small bay with a few other condos and the waves are a good size for everyone to play in and have a good time. There's some lava flow with tidepools, too. There were real...

For a relaxing getaway, this is the place. It is right on a small beautiful beach for swimming. Snorkeling and turtles right off the beach. The unit has everything you need, and nothing you don't. The porch (lana'i) is great, and includes body boards and beach chairs. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom clean and plenty of space with a good closet. The kitchen has everything you need, but the counter space is a bit small for preparing a meal (and having the dish dryer out there). This place is an ideal location for just relaxing, listening to the waves (and wind), and getting away. However, it was our first time on Maui so we wanted to explore the island a lot. It is a little bit of a trek from many of the island sights: Haleakala, Hana. Even going into Lahaina is a little pain because of traffic and lack of parking there. But we loved our stay and would stay here again. Next time we will spend most of the time just in Napili. It is an ideal location for rest and relaxation.

The check in was effortless. I was a little taken aback when we first opened the room up - it was a little stuffy, but after airing it out it was comfortable for the entire stay. The kitchen was functional and well equipped, aside from some chef knives which had been badly abused. Still managed to sharpen them up and get to chopping. One thing which was irritating was the flood light which is right outside the porch - seems to be there for asthetic purposes, but just hurt my eyes and detracted from seeing the stars. Oh well, you can walk down to the beach in 1 minute so comprimises can be made. Snorkeling in Napili bay was good fun. Kapalua to the north is much better and we recommend visiting it with a short walk or getting to the parking around 9 or 10. Bring your binoculars for whale spotting - we saw them every day from the beach. Several breaches and flipper flapping!
Manager response:
The flood light is used for security purposes. I have talked to the property manager and he has agreed that the light can be moved so that it will not shine in our unit. We have agreed to have that done by February 16

Charles Martin, owner Napili Bay Condo 212

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Napili Bay (Unit 212) From September 20th-27th. I have to commend the owners of the condo for providing a wonderful experience! The unit was well appointed, with plenty of room for 2 people to stay comfortably. The view from the lanai was great. You can see the beach, ocean, and point easily while sitting outside. If you chose to stay here, you must make the 2 minute walk along the beach to the Gazebo Restaurant. Best breakfast on Maui! The manager of the complex was very friendly as well. He was very helpful and keeps the complex looking great. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

We highly recommend the Napili Bay Resort! From the moment we made our reservation to the end of our trip, the owners and management staff anticipated and addressed every need and question that could have arisen. The owners give very complete instructions about accessing the condo, where things are inside, and what the specific amenities are. They are very friendly, helpful, responsible and attentive. The condo itself was equipped with everything we needed, from basic toiletries, to kitchen appliances, and even folding chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards for the beach! The condo is very comfortable for two people. It was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is stocked with cooking equipment (including coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc.) Even without air conditioning it was quite comfortable. It was possible to get a breeze running through the condo quite easily by opening the blinds. The lanai had a great view (Unit 212). The amenities that were included made planning our day trips and excursions a lot easier and simpler: a landline telephone, wireless Internet and cable TV. There are also laundry facilities on site and a common-use barbecue. The beach is truly a gem. Sea turtles poke their heads up to see you, and all kinds of fish are around for great snorkeling. Napili Bay Resorts really has the best location on this beach. The location was also fantastic. Within walking distance there are 3 general/grocery stores, a coffee shop, snorkel equipment rental, excellent restaurants, hiking trails, and several other lovely beaches. It's out of the way from the crowds and scarce parking of Lahaina, yet only about a 15-minute drive away.

Condo 212 was excellent! It had everything we needed and even had bogie boards, beach umbrella, and chairs. The room was very clean and had extra blankets and towels. My only complaint was that the refrigerator was not cold enough on the first day and my ice cream melted and we had to move everything to our friend's refrigerator (They were staying at Napili Surf). But the refrigerator work well the next day. I was really happy that this room came with a steamer so I was able to steam rice. Overall, the stay was wonderful and we had a great time. Thank you for allowing us to stay at Condo 212.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at the Napili Bay and enjoyed every aspect of Condo 212. It was furnished in a tasteful traditionally tropical manner, and we didn't miss having a big screen TV or dishwasher. Everything that we needed (beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels) was provided for us. The condo was close enough to the beach to have a great view of the ocean and Molokai, yet far enough away to reduce the sound of the pounding surf. We have stayed in the Napili area before and condo 212 was our favorite experience. Napili Bay is a great location for morning walks, relaxing on the beach, playing in the surf, and whale watching. Several friends stayed in nearby units, and we enjoyed the nice BBQ and outdoor eating area together. We also really liked the Sea House, Gazeebo, and Pineapple Grille restuarants which are all within walking distance. Napili Bay is a true gem and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

We have stayed in the Napili area in the past and really enjoyed the area. This unit was very clean, had an amazing view from the lanai, and had exactly what we needed. It did seem to be a bit dated compared to other condos we have rented in the Napili area but really it had everything we needed. We thought the price was fair for February. We will definitly consider this condo again when we return to Napili Bay. The owner may want to know that the wireless network was unsecure (the password they provided wasn't needed).

We had a great time on Maui. The condo was clean and well-designed for 2 people. We used the kitchen to our benefit. Access to the gorgeous Napili beach was restricted to people staying at the condo, although, of course, by law all beaches in Hawaii are public, so Napili beach was crowded when we stayed there. That did not detract much from the beauty of the beach and the views of distant Molokai and Lanai. Also, within a 10-minute walk of the condo is public access to Kapalua Beach, named one of the world's top 100 beaches. Can't beat that! The condo is within a 15-minute drive of Lahaina and its many shopping malls and wonderful restaurants. I highly recommend any of the condos at Napili Bay Resort. This is our second time at this resort in the past 10 years, and it has not changed in satisfaction over that period.

We loved staying here, especially since it had a full kitchen, a view of the beach, and it was a stone's throw away from the beach to go relax. It was also really nice that there were beach items to use in the condo like chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, etc! Air conditioning would have been nice only because it was unusually hot during our stay, and I was 6 months pregnant at the time. The mattress was also a bit too firm for my liking, but that is to be expected. I loved that this place was out of the way of the bigger touristy towns, leaving us with lots of privacy. The only part that we weren't too crazy about was that it is required that everyone be charged $100 for cleaning upon checkout, yet we were responsible for taking out the trash, doing the dishes, putting dirty towels in the appropriate place, etc. It only costs me $65 to get my whole 1870 sq. ft. house to be cleaned, so I think $100 for the tiny studio condo is a bit steep. All in all, we'd return for another visit!

This studio condo was perfect for our honeymoon: casual, private and steps away from the beach. We arrived to find a clean and well- appointed room with a beach view, exactly as advertised. Far away from the high-rise hotels and crowds, we shared our lovely beach with a reasonable number of other guests, and enjoyed the few close restaurants (The Sea House is a five minute walk away, and some of the best food we had on the island). The snorkeling wasn't spectacular, but there are plenty of other places on the island for that. We highly recommend the condo: it's a great value, the location is beautiful, and we look forward to returning ourselves!

Property to left has gazebo on water for breakfast(banana, coconut pancakes the bomb)or lite lunch.Snorkel Bob(rental of snorkel gear)just a short walk from unit. This unit is small, with oldfashioned wallpaper, but clean with great kitchen & bath.Plenty of storage.Other renters low key. No parties. Just a nice, relaxing place. Area of island great, away from too many people in south of island. No airconditioning so got hot during day.Had to keep blinds closed to keep sun out. Ceiling fan over bed helped. Unit only comfortable for a couple, too small if kiddies.Nice sunsets on balcony. Units have picnic area with nice grill and nice washer/dryer bldg.Bring own beach towels. Unit has 2 beach chairs& beach board. Beach infront of units save with no rowdyness. Nice small unit with only around 30 units.Close to famous golf course yu can walk over there and walk around the place(includes hotel,homes,2 restaurants.)All in all, beautiful area feeling more like neighborhood than highrise hotels.

Napili Bay resort was perfect for us! We were there for Christmas week. The resort is right on the beach. We even witnessed a beach wedding! All of the little extras included with the unit (like shampoo, aloe, beach chairs, and boogie boards) made us feel so warm and welcome! We definitely want to come back!

It was quiet, not so ritzy an Kanapali, perfect for someone traveling alone, like me. I could look out my window and see the ocean 100 feet away. The private beach was a dream. I have recommended it to friends. And I hope to come back soon.

The condo was in a perfect location, with an amazing ocean view. It was very comfortable and relaxing. I loved that you could sit in your pajamas and watch the early morning ocean, or the sunset with turtles popping their heads out of the water. The kitchen was great to help save a little money on Maui. It is very easy to hear your neighbors, so they may make or break the experience.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our wonderful time at Napili Bay Resort(condo 212). The condo was very comfortable and welcoming. We really enjoyed being right on the beach with great views! We even survived the 6.7 earthquake while we were staying here! The outdoor shower and BBQ/Laundry area were great to have onsite. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Best swimming location on Maui.Although units close together, they are set up to be private especially the balcony.Outside area(picnic, parking, beach)beautiful with lots of wonderful plants, flowers, banana trees.Beach has a big tree for shade!if you want it. Lots of turtles rite in water.low waves.Stretch of beach to rite has other properties which includes a bar at end of beach. How nice to walk to have drinks and be able to walk home. Owners very nice.

We really enjoyed being so close to the beach. Its a small bay with a few other condos and the waves are a good size for everyone to play in and have a good time. There's some lava flow with tidepools, too. There were really nice beach chairs to use, plus boogie boards and beach towels. It was so nice to sit on the lanai and read out books or have a drink. The kitchen was very well equipped. I liked the decor and the bedspread. We had everything we needed. Thanks!
