My husband two young daughters and I stayed in 27a for a week and loved it. Every possible comfort was thought out and available. The rooms are so comfortable and the beds divine. Its really quiet and peaceful. Anyone who stays here would never stay in a hotel again. This was our third trip to Kauai in three years and without a doubt, we will not be staying anywhere else when we come again next year. Thank you for opening your home to visitors!

We spent a week here with my family and had an amazing trip. The condo is absolutely beautiful, with every amenity you could possibly want. It was great to have a full kitchen so that we could prepare healthy meals for ourselves. The beds were comfortable and I loved going out on the lanai's for early morning relaxation. We had occasion to contact the property manager a few times and she was wonderful to work with. The condo has several beach toys in the garage (boogie boards, some snorkel equipment, sand toys) which were very nice to have on hand. The only negative we could think of was that the pool in the condo complex has some pretty strict rules. It wasn't really a great place for kids to go. It was immaculate and a beautiful pool/hot tub, but every time we went to swim we were told we couldn't do what we were doing. Basically, the rules are no noise, no pool noodles, no rafts, no snorkels, etc. I think they should just put up a sign that says no kids because kids inevitably will make a little noise while swimming. The resident manager who drives around all day making sure people are following the rules in the complex could relax just a tad. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub by ourselves, but our kids couldn't have any fun. I wouldn't decide against this condo based on that however, you don't really need a pool when you're this close to beautiful beaches! We can't wait to return to Kauai and our fabulous "Hawaii house" as the kids call it.

This condo had all the amenities of home. With extra goodies around every corner (beach mats, towels, some snorkel gear) and the kitchen was equipped to our liking (blenders, utensils, bowls, pans etc.). The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The decor was tastefully done. With our love of the beach, the washer and dryer was very handy to wash out the swimsuits and towels. We traveled around every ounce of the island and thought Princeville was by far the most beautiful. We were a little weary of everything being more expensive on the North shore, but to our surprise, it was very similar. There was one surprise, we left the screen open and a really fat cat called PT Cruiser that wondered in. He said his Hellos and was out the door. Just a neat experience all around. Much Mahalo for a wonderful much needed vacation. I would recommend this property to families, couples, etc. (*There were stairs, so not handicapped accessible and the bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms were upstairs. Not a problem at all with our family...)

Unit 27a at Nihilani at Princeville is a clean, spacious, nearly new condo that comfortably could sleep 8 people. We were a party of 4 and never felt cramped or crowded. The townhome has a fully equipped, modern kitchen with top of the line appliances. The beds are comfortable and the living and dining room furniture are attractive and well-maintained. There is a flat screen tv in the living room hooked to cable and offering many channels. There is also cable internet access which is super fast. The unit is air conditioned, though we found that by making use of the screen doors and ceiling fans, we didn't need to use the electricity. There are 3 lanais, two upstairs and one downstairs with comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxation. The large washer and dryer upstairs was a godsend for towels and clothing. The unit came equipped with plenty of beach towels, boogie boards, beach mats, and assorted beach toys. There is even a high chair for a family with a small child. The unit is in the heart of the Princeville residential area, a mile from Foodland market and 10 minutes by car from the swimming beach at Hanalei. Queen's Bath and Hideaways Beach are a 20-30 minute hike for those who don't mind making their way down (and back up) the steep cliffs. There is also a black-bottom pool with a small waterfall on site. Only wish it had been open beyond 9 PM. All in all, a lovely condo and a great vacation and at very reasonable price!!

We so enjoyed this condo! It was perfect for a family of 5 with lots of space and it had everything we needed. It was decorated beautifully yet felt very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool area and it was close to all of the north shore sights and activities. We felt spoiled by this condo and we hope to come back again and stay longer!

Unit 27a was a great choice for us. The unit and furnishings were high grade (except for one chair in the living room that had some significant wear and tear)and as shown in the photos. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Location is a convenient drive to the North Shore activities and shopping. Note the Bbqs are shared at the pool, so go early to avoid a wait for grill space. Also, the pool is a short walk, but along the roadway. All considered, we were very pleased with our stay. Thanks aloha Condos!

The unit is located on the north shore of Kauai which is a more relaxed and quiet area. The unit was in good shape and was a perfect size for the 5 of us. The pool and hot tub were very nice to. And just a 10 minute drive brought you to Hanalei Bay beach!

This condo, 27a, at Nihilani, Princeville, was one of the most beautiful properties we have rented for vacation in the past 10 years. It was clean, located conveniently for us, and just a lovely Hawaiian vacation rental. We hiked and "beached" all day and came home to this immaculate, restful place for the evenings. We enjoyed reading on the patios and decks, having the convenience of the washer and dryer and making dinner over a glass of wine in the kitchen/bar area. The beds and linens were first class to collapse in at night. Having the garage made the car secure. Just a perfect haven for vacation!

We spent 3 weeks in December 2010 at 27a and found it most relaxing. Nihilani is an upscale condo community with mostly owners or long-term rentals. 27a feels like a home with quality appliances and furnishings and fine detail work in construction. Most pleasant and we did need the a/C at all, although it covers the entire unit if needed. Possible limitations: a walk to the pool making it too difficult to have a cookout (the two grills were inoperable when we were there); no workout-exercise room in complex; beach is a drive away. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful condo, very spacious with all the amenities.

Lovely 3 bedroom condo with all bedrooms located upstairs and living space downstairs. The condo is well furished, however, it lacked a TV in the Master Bedroom. Everyhthing was to our liking, however, the check out policy of 10:00 seems to be on the early side, would prefer 12:00/

This is a fantastic rental home. We were traveling with our infant for the 1st time so we were looking for something that felt like home and after staying there for a week we didn't want to leave. The home is very well furnished and everything you can think of is already provided -- detergent, coffee filters, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. The beds were really comfortable and the central air conditioning came in very handy. The neighborhood also felt very safe and it was very quiet (except for the morning rooster!). Staying up in Princeville is definitely much more relaxing than the other more touristy cities.

My husband and I stayed in 27a with another couple. It was the perfect condo for our vacation! It was so well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some great meals. We loved grilling down at the pool. The beds were so comfortable, and the showers were amazing. We were so pleased with how clean it was, and we were so thankful for the beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, etc. We've been to Kauai several times, and this was by far the most comfortable trip because of the condo. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure on the island, and the perfect place to just spend a lazy day by the pool and relaxing in the condo. We can't wait to come back!

A wonderful, roomy, homey townhouse with tons of storage, a great kitchen
for cooking and plenty of hang-out space. Our family of four thought this was
great.
About 1.25 miles -- 2.5 miles roundtrip for a perfect morning walk or short
jog -- gets you down to the St. Regis entry with wonderful views of the ocean
from the lawn and bluffs. Foodland grocery is just outside the gates of the
Princeville resort for supplies and food. The town of Hanalei and the gorgeous
Hanalei Bay beach are about 5 mins. away by car.

This past August my wife and I took my mother on her dream vacation to Hawaii. We stayed in condo 27A at Nihilani at Princeville.
This condo is beautiful. It has everything from a kitchen with everything to an flat screen HDTV, perfect for watching the movies you recorded that day. It is very clean and spacious and Princeville is the perfect place to have your home base when you are staying on Kauai. This condo was the perfect place to come back and relax after a day of site seeing or playing on the beach. There are several beaches close by and great jogging/walking paths.
Our only regret is having to leave. If you are thinking about renting a place in Kauai, this is the one.

We had a great time in 27 A. It was beautifully furnished, felt very safe in a
good neighbourhood. We really felt at home instantly and it was very
relaxing. We spent only 5 nights but could have easily spent 2 weeks :-)
Although it advertized only 2 full rooms, it had indeed 2 King size bed
bedrooms plus a 3rd room with 2 single beds, so it can fit 6 very
comfortably. Bathroom in the master bedroom is really. Good quality linen
and towels, and even beach towels are supplied. There is a good HD TV with
Hifi sound and a great selection of programs. The pool and jacuzzi are quiet
and relaxing. The small shopping center at the entrance of Princeville is very
convenient and has a few restaurants (e.g. C&J's Steak & Seafood).
North of Kauai was one of our best places in Hawaii and it took minutes
from 27A to reach beautiful sandy beaches, one different each time, Hanalei
being very close with its shops and restaurants (less than 5 minutes). It took
typically 40 minutes to drive to Lihue for the helicopter tour, and less that
1h30 minutes to drive to Waimea at the other end of the island. Princeville
feels much greater than Waipuli or Poipu in my opinion, with great tropical
vegetation and the moutain right behind. So, no doubt we enjoyed 27A ! ;-)

Be sure to take advantage of the great Farmer's Markets and local produce and fish!
We were advised to purchase a book about things to do in Kauai, and it made our trip even more perfect. It contained suggestions of secluded beaches and local venues. We beached, snorkeled, hiked and Kayaked. A perfect relaxing trip!

This property was great for us. First I want to say that it looks just like the pictures and is beautifully furnished. The rooms are huge and there is plenty of space to make yourself at home. And I must say it was nice having a parking garage. It's quiet and peaceful as it is tucked away from any traffic, and it is right near the shopping center which was very convenient.
