The owner answers prompt all your questions (check in procedures are very easy, it was the first time we stayed in a condo ) and gives a lot of information about restaurants, sightseeing and everything you can do in the neighbourhood ( walking distance ).There is a Lonely Planet in the condo. At arrival, we received a gift box with macademian nuts, parfum, free coffee, etc. Immediately, you feel at home. Great find! This clean and comfortable hotel-like unit was a great place for us to stay in as we explored Kauai. Located on the central east coast of the island, day trips in any direction were a manageable distance and you are able to explore all areas of the island without huge travel times. Located in a hotel complex, this unit gives you beach front resort style accommodation at a fraction of the price! Booking through the hotel proper would have been considerably more. This unit is well equipped with beach toys, lounge chairs, guide books and even a cookbook of tasty meals that can be made using room's kitchenette. A great deal and a relaxing place to stay while on Kauai.

We found the unit OK, and got in using the passkey; all was sparkling clean, and attractively decorated. Although small, it was comfortable; the lanai had chairs and table for dining. Well furnished with paper goods, coffee, Splenda, etc. Notebooks, hot/cold bag, nice beach chairs and towels a good touch. Location at Kapaa is convenient for travel either north or south and near groceries and restauants. Shops in Coconut Marketplace and the Farmer's Market easy walking distance. Parking satisfactory. We ate breakfast in every morning, but elected not to cook other meals; brought in some take-out foods. Renters should be aware it is on 3rd floor, and no elevator. This was OK with us, but might not be for some; we heard one couple arriving to be dismayed by no elevators. We liked good walking paths, and nearness to the beach also.

My wife and I rented Condo 361 at Islander on the Beach for 6 nights in Jan/13 and would highly recommend this unit to others. For a $99 per night rental, you cannot beat the quality of the unit, the location, and free extras provided. The unit was well equipped and was not outdated or worn out in any way. The extras such as dishes & utensils, blender (fresh fruit smoothies), insulated lunch bags (for picnics on isolated beaches) boogie boards and beach towels were appreciated and well used. Bath towels and amenities were well stocked and the king sized bed, sheets and pillows were very comfortable, even for my wife with a bad back. The beachview location allowed us to whale watch from the lanai and early morning walks along the beach to watch the spectacular sunrises were terrific. The tourist channel on TV was very informative re restaurants and secluded beaches to visit and other sites on the island to see. For the price, you cannot beat the value of Condo 361.

My wife and I stood at the condo for a week and we had a great time. The location was also great. Near Kapa'a and just 10-15 mins from the airport. From here it was easy to drive down to Poipu or up to Hanalei. The place was very clean and had many amenities. Maryann has added many personal touches to the place and to our visit which we really appreciated. The kitchen area is a bit small and is not made for cooking so we would just buy juices and a few cold items to microwave (don't buy frozen, there is no freezer in the little fridge). Also, there is no elevator in the building so I imagine it would be hard for an elderly or disabled person to go up and down the flight of stairs.

What a lovely unit! Everything you would need was in the room, right down to the BBQ tools! We appreciated the binder of info, the drawer of games, plush bath towels, comfy bathrobes, beach chairs/beach towels/coolers and boogie boards! There is a great TV, DVD player, CD player (with music Cd's) and free Wifi to use! Awesome! The bed was comfy but we found the pillows a bit too firm. We loved that the Coconut Market was so close by. Being located on the central, east side of the island, made it very easy to drive to other areas of the island. Safeway, Wal-Mart, Costco, Starbucks and various malls are close by as well. Not with-in walking distance but just a quick drive away. The airport is only about 7 miles away! Talk about convenience.

Everything was perfect during my recent week-long stay in Condo 361. Maryann is delightful to do business with and check-in was a breeze. The view from the condo is amazing; the pictures really do not do it justice and the perch from the third floor allows the slider to be open whenever you want to enjoy the lull of the ocean waves. The condo is fresh, squeaky clean and thoughtfully furnished with kitchen implements, beach toys and many other small touches convenient for a traveler. The bed is super comfortable! Kapa'a is the best Kauai location for seeing all that the island offers. I was so sorry to leave but will be back again soon.

In addition it is priced very reasonable. We would rent #361 again and will recommend this condo to friends.

What a beautiful & relaxing condo! It was perfect for our little getaway. This was our first visit to Kauai and we wanted to pick a location convenient to the airport and sightseeing, but also one that was quiet and serene where we could return and rest. Iob #361 was perfect. The whole process on alohaCondos.com was effortless. The owner was wonderful to work with. Everything that we needed was provided from dishes to bathrobes and the little gift basket was fabulous!!! She even had postcards in the room for us to use! We enjoyed the pool and hottub each evening. We shopped and ate at the Coconut Marketplace next door. We spent one day driving to the sights. Overall this was a great experience. Maybe next time we can stay longer. Thanks

The condo is beautiful and well outfitted. The bed and linens were very comfortable and everything we needed was available there in the condo. The lanai was perfect for breakfast overlooking the ocean. Just a short walk to the beach or a quick drive to many great restaurants nearby. We explored both sides of the island and this condo was pretty much perfect location in the middle. While we were on the island, there was a tsunami warning. The staff was very helpful and we even got a phone call from Maryann. She has been very responsive and helpful through the whole process. I would highly recommend renting this beautiful place in paradise!

Free wi-fi included was really fast. Situated in the middle of the east coast of Kauai, it's perfectly placed to spend a day exploring either north or south. Loved the little touches to make it feel homely like the welcome basket and free use of boogie-boards, beach chairs, beach towels and cooler bag.

My husband and I reserved this condo for our honeymoon this summer. After the rush and stress of wedding prep, this was an ideal spot. We had heard these were some great condos and we read about all the things provided as well as the ideal location. It was all that and more! I told my husband, "I love coming back to our condo each day! It feels like home and it's so comfortable and relaxing." I was amazed at all the resources in the room - travel books, guest recommendations, and games to use during our stay, delicious coffee, and a generous welcome bag with delicious fruit and more! Also, we had a question right away when we got there, called the number we were given and had a quick friendly answer! Great place, friendly people, and the beach (where we even saw a seal!) right down the stairs. I really could not have dreamed of a better stay. Thank you to those who work hard to make this such a nice place! And one last note, a big thanks to the people who run it too for allowing it to be affordable! My husband and I were really trying to stick to a honeymoon budget and could not have made this trip work without finding such a great affordable place! Mahalo!

It's a gem! If you prefer Kapa'a for its central location and convenience (lots of good + affordable eats), and want to stay at a decent-priced condo, this is it! My husband and I were impressed with a lot of things in the unit. The unit won me from the start with its welcoming, fresh, homey scent! It's a great feeling to come "home" to a nice place to unwind from a day out in the sun. The room offers more than just a place to sleep. It was comfy with plush towels, area rugs, pillows, and bedding. I felt more like home than in a hotel! In terms of maintenance, I have seen a number of units on this property (at least 5 rooms), and this was by far the most well maintained! I've stayed at this resort property before, so I'm used to its small kitchenette, which can sometimes be quite limiting. Though, I was impressed to find a big binder put together by Maryann with cooking instructions and creative recipes. That was something totally unexpected. The Internet connection was great. Tv and DVD/CD player worked fine, and the drawer of board games & books were well kept. The unit provided a beach set (boogie board, cute towels), too. Besides travel guides, there was also a personally compiled binder with travel recommendations and stories on Kauai! Everywhere you look, you'll find nice personal touches. If you are looking for great value, comfort, and relaxation on Kauai, this unit has it all! If we go back to Kauai, we'd definitely stay here again!

What a great condo! It is so much nicer than the photos! The view of the ocean is incredible and very private (some rooms have a bike path or other path right in front of them with people on it at all hours). The room was extremely clean and it is evident that much effort has gone into decorating and furnishing the room, as well as keeping the furnishings and room clean. Everywhere you look in the room, there is some cute little decorator touch. Much of the artwork appears to be original photos, which were very interesting. The bath towels were soft and thick and the organic toiletries wonderful. Just as advertised, the bed linens were smooth and soft and I had the best sleep listening to the ocean. The little kitchenette was well stocked with colorful and useful items. Truly appreciated the spa robe for snuggling in after a shower (and for sitting in on the lanai early in the morning). Was delighted to have coffee for every night of stay (some rentals do not give coffee and you need to purchase a bag). Other great items were beach towels, beach chairs with built in coolers, boogie board, and the welcoming gift bag. I enjoyed reading the guest comment books to learn about places on island to visit. A great stay and I will be going back. Booking was easy and check in was a breeze. Kristen at aloha Condos makes sure that nothing goes wrong! Overall assessment: ONO!

Condo #361 is very comfortable, very well stocked and easy to live in. We stayed there for 2 weeks and enjoyed watching the sunrise right from the lanai every morning. The condo is conveniently located with easy access to both the North and the South shores. The owner does everything possible to make your stay a pleasant experience.

Beautiful and cosy unit with fantastic location right next to the beach - the view from the third-floor balcony is really special. Super easy access, able to come and go with no hassles.

My son and I stayed in this condo from 5/24/12 - 6/04/12. We absolutely loved our stay and all the personal touches in the condo. It is a great location on the east side of the island and easily accessible. We have stayed at the Islander many times and this was our first time in 36l. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean at night and appreciated how well taken care of the condo was. You can't go wrong staying here and look forward to many more stays in the future. Thank you!!! Back for another stay in this unit, which has become my favorite. Even better this time. Great gift bag, and games, beach items, DVD player, and decaf coffee added. Just as last time, room is clean and towels and sheets top quality. Whales still hanging around and could be seen breaching and spouting! Drove all the way north and all the way west on 2 mornings as Kapaa is centrally located. Check in is never a problem. Loved free in-room WiFi and island music CDs. Definitely returning to this room.

We felt at home here and appreciated the view and meals on the lanai. We would have used a DVD player if it was there (as advertised?) The rooms were very cleanly presented and we loved the welcome treats. The central location of this resort was valuable and the pool and BBQ were very good to have.

My wife and I had our fist trip to Hawaii and stayed 3 nights at the Islander. It is a great town to stay in. We also enjoyed the shopping and restaurants across the parking lot. Perfect place for a sunrise on the beach. Downtown is just a short drive and I recomend the shaved ice place on the right as you come into town. Get the ice cream in the center. We were also very pleased with the amenities in the room. We had postcards, boogie board, towels, and a few necessary kitchen supplies including a blender and coffee maker.
