The flat screen tv was also appreciated. Instructions were simple and easy to understand. I highly recommend staying here while in Kauai.

Positives: Clean and comfortable accommodation, great to be able to see the sunrise from the lanai, great resort atmosphere. Good location next to the Coconut marketplace and walk to the beach and other places of interest. Negatives: Space can be limited especially with the sofabed out, lack of coffee though the coffee maker was there. Parking is a big problem after 6 pm. and since our plane was at 6.30 am in the morning and it was raining, we had to walk in the rain carrying our luggage to the entrance while the driver had to walk to the end of the road to get the car in the rain. This was annoying.

Our recent visit to Kauai was fantastic due in part to the lovely location of this condo. The beach and ocean are just steps away when you walk out onto your balcony. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. A beach umbrella might be one needed addition as we had 8 beautiful sunny days when we were there. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the bar at poolside and the Bbq's there also. We would return to this condo.

My husband, our 11 year old, and I stayed in Condo 158 and loved it. The unit was clean and had everything we needed to make our vacation complete. The atmosphere at Islander is fantastic. Everyone is friendly, and if you need an extra place to escape to read a good book, the open lobby area is the perfect place to relax on comfortable furniture while listening to both music and ocean waves. The hot tub/pool area is an added bonus for everyone as it was never crowded. The condo was a little snug for 3 of us and could use a little more kitchen counter space, but we didn't go to Hawaii to stay in the condo, so it worked out just fine. We really felt like we were welcome guests in a friend's home.

Stayed in Condo 158 Oct 19-27. Perfect location and amenities for an excellent vacation. Unit was clean and in good location. We watched the sunrise each day from our lanai or beach. Kitchenette great for simple meals. Pool is great, stays cool since 8 Ft. on deeep end (poolside bar open till 10 each night). Nicely kept grounds and lawn areas. Easy to walk (Cocuonut Marketplace shopping center right behind condo) or short ride to grocery, farmers market, local restaurants or even a twice weekly hula show. A perfect central location to explore Kauai while not giving up convenience of restaurants, shopping and activites. From reserveration online to checkout, a smooth and easy, proffessional process making an exceptional vacation even better.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was great. It was basically the size of a hotel room with a kitchenette crammed in, but it worked well for the two of us...not sure I could handle it with 4 people there. The unit was well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. The ocean is visible from the lanai and it was nice to sit outside in the mornings and watch it or walk over and sit in the many chairs that were on the beach. It's right by the coconut marketplace and some of the best Shave Ice on the island (according to Kauai Revealed). Everything else in Kapaa is just a short drive away. One thing that was an issue was parking. There is not near enough parking for the units and if we got back any later than 6pm, we had to park on the road or in the parking lot next door. It wasn't a bad walk, but it was annoying when we got there the first night after dark and had to drive all over looking for parking. We didn't use the pool or other facilities, but they looked nice. Enjoy!

We stayed at Islander on the Beach condo 158 for our honeymoon. I've been to Kauai three other times and know the area well. I would highly recommend Islander on the beach, especially for someone looking for a convenient location on the east side of the island, and more-so for anyone looking for a quiet and less touristy accommodation - perfect for a honeymoon. The unit was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials as well as some nice unexpected extras for the beach, kitchen, and laundry. It's much nicer than staying in a hotel where you feel like you're surrounded by other people sharing the same amenities. The management staff was also very pleasant and helpful, with check-in & check-out a breeze. I forgot some important personal belongings in the room when departing and the management company collected them and mailed them to me without hassle. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

The beach towels, mats and styro-foam cooler was nice to have.

Great value, location, and amenities! Condo is situated in the middle of the island. So, it make is easy to drive half of the island one day and the other half the next day...Then you could easily get to any spot on the island from this location. Value of the condo was great...You get a little kitchenette with a microwave, sink and fridge...It doesn't have a stove/oven, but there are BBQ at the pool area where you can Q up some good grinds if choose to. The pool is open till 10pm and the pool bar is open till 9pm...The thing about Kauai is that shops close up early, so the pool is a good place to unwind after a funfilled day of activities (surfing, site seeing, hiking, kayaking/paddleboarding along the rivers and etc.)!

It's always a little nerve racking to book a room based on photos from thousands of miles away (Oklahoma) but this studio condo was perfect for our needs. The room was bright, clean and well decorated. The lanai opens to the beach and the pool, both which are just steps away. The bathroom is much larger than it appears in the photos. We arrived late in the evening (around 9pm) and had to unload our luggage at the curb and it felt as though we were putting the front desk folks out by asking them how to get to our unit. We received no assistance with a luggage cart as "they were locked up for the evening". I think is more the resorts issue and not who we rented the unit through and on another hand, front desk lady could have just been having a really bad day. The laundry room hours were a bit modest in my opinion, 8am - 10pm - no one wants to do their laundry during daylight hours while in Kauai! - Other than that, it was the perfect vacation. The other vacationers were pleasant, met a few at the designated smoking area and at the pool. We received a fantastic welcome bag on our door the first morning full of goodies, a very nice touch! Room was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have planned a better visit!

We stayed in 158 after a few nights in less than accommodations (hostel and hotels), so it was nice to have a large comfortable bed, TV/internet and bathroom with the softest bath mates I've ever stepped on! A lot crammed into a small space, not in a bad way, but I couldn't image sharing the condo with 4 people. Perfect for a couple, very comfortable with the modern technologies. The kitchenette served it's purpose and a couple we met at the pool were jealous we had a blender, which came in handy. The location of the room itself made it easy to walk to beach, pool, and parking and not deal with stairs.

The first morning we woke up we walked right outside of our lanai to see the sunrise and my 6-yo son says, "Mommy, I never knew how cool Hawai'i would be!" We love the island of Kaua'i and staying here made it feel much more relaxing and like home. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends. The condo was clean and the complex was well maintained. We liked being being located right on the beach, which although it is not the most popular beach area on the island, was still perfectly fine for us because it was uncrowded and quiet. We liked being able to take a long walk down the shoreline, which has some rocky areas that have small tidepools with sealife in them. We were also able to sit on the patio of the condo and have an ocean view when it was too windy to sit on the beach. The condo was tastefully decorated also. There were some places to eat and shop at within walking distance and it is located roughly halfway between the north and south areas of the island. There was only one annoying negative---the parking situation is poor, and gets worse the later you come back--after dark it just sucks.

My wife and I stayed at Unit #158 for eight days at the end of May, 2010. The unit was impeccably maintained and everything functioned as it should. The location of the unit within the complex is exceptional (only 50' +/- from the beach). The proximity to parking and shops at the Coconut Marketplace was well appreciated by my wife. Proximity to good restaurants and the special places my wife and I have found on the island is great. We have stayed at the Islander five times in the past ten years and this was absolutely our best experience so far, and the cost was the most reasonable of all our trips. We will stay here again.

What a fabulous location. All you really need is right at this location. You are walking distance to shopping at the coconut market place. Walking distance to live entertainment or great dinning next door. You can walk out and rent bikes and ride the bike trail. You can sit and relax at the pool bar for a great view and refreshment. You can make your coffee and walk out onto the ocean to enjoy it. Everything is simply right out from your lanai. Hiking is all but 5 to 10 min away. Great place, charming location, simple and easy. I dont think I wouldnt need a car if I can work out a few pick ups for the hiking trails. And get a pick up from the airport. Mary

It was a nice place, centrally located on the island of Kauai at Kapaa. There was limited parking however. It seemed that the bartender at the poolside bar at the Islander was kind of grumpy. Reasonably priced and clean. Kristin was kind enough to call us on the day of the tsunami, as we were supposed to arrive that day, and inform us of the warning.
A very good place to stay, steps from the beach.

We got the service we expected and needed. The home is perfect related to the price we payed. A coffeemaker was not available! That is a pitty. One of the best locations on the Island of Kauai direct near the Ocean and beach.Trees near the shoreline to sit in the shade if necessary. The best is the groundfloor level of the unit with a beautifull view on the shoreline from the Lanai. The waves come rolling to you! The area of the complex is nice to walk around and very quiet. Absolutly not any traffic noise at all!!! The surrounding area has also class. We go back sometime, but it takes 2 full days of travelling from our home in The Netherlands

The room was exactly like the pictures. I thought that the fridge had a freezer, so I was surprised that it didn't. I just assumed, so that was my error. we made breakfast and lunches in the room and ate out for dinners. It saved us money. We had plenty of towels and necessity supplies. One suggestion would be one King size bed instead of two double beds. It would give more room for maybe a built in countertop or full kitchen. We loved the internet access, very convienent. The Aloha staff (Kristen) was great, we called her several times for assistance with a broken lock and a lost key. she was very helpful and service oriented. she was great!!!!

Kristen from Aloha Condos was very helpful and accommodating. The unit was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great - just a few steps to the beach. You can see the ocean from the back porch. It took some time figuring out how to control the air conditioning - would have been helpful if there was an instruction sheet. We made use of the fridge and the microwave. Glad to have cups, dishwashing liquid, sponge, and paper towel available for our use. The bath towels were soft, just like from home. I did have a visitor in the shower one day...kind of freaked me out. There was a cockroach about 2" long on the shower curtain. I guess being on the first floor, gives the critters better access to the unit. We didn't have any problems parking, but, we did come back before 8 pm every night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Perfect, Clean and Affordable.

We had a microwave and fridge which saved us a lot of money - as did the free wireless in the room. The best part was being right on the beach. The trade winds are strong on the east side of the island and we enjoyed the tropical breezes blowing through the room. We could also walk to a lot of restaurants from Islander. The pool is cute, and has a poolside bar.

This room was great! We wanted a comfortable place to stay but didn't need a whole house. We were there for 10 days and it worked out for what we needed. We didn't spend excessive amounts of time in the room because we were busy seeing the island. The location is great and centrally located. It was very clean and nicely decorated.

We did our annual girls beach trip to Kauai and stayed in Islander 158. The property is fantastic, very nice and quiet most nights, and definitely peaceful during the day. The beach is pristine and not crowded at all. The room (Islander 158) is very clean, great decorations, big screen TV and dvd player to watch cheesy beach movies in the evening, and the lanai had a nice view of the water. Highly recommended!!

My family and I had a wonderful 6-night stay at the Islander on the Beach! It's affordable, comfortable, private, and everything you could ask for in condo-living.

The price was very good and the location was perfect for being able to visit the north and south shores of the island. The grounds were very well maintained and we never had any issues with noise.

We stayed for 11 nights in Condo 158 Oct/Nov. We got a really good value for the price. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. We really appreciated having the internet available as it made online bookings and "activity surfing" convenient and easy. Loved the closeness of the beach, the proximity to restarants, shopping etc. Recommendations: a couple of nice acrylic wine glasses, a cork screw, and a little bigger coffee machine for that Kauai coffee we love so much!! Thanks for the great place to stay!

I booked online easily, and got a great rate. There were no surprises as the website had lots of pictures and videos. We were delighted with how clean the condo was. Nice linens.
