  1. This is a privately owned unit and guests are renting directly from the homeowners whose company name is Mau Loa HBR Vacations (as will appear on your credit card statement).   Therefore your reservation is non-transferable between other properties. 
    1. This condominium is professionally managed by Vacation Realty Hawaii LLC (808) 822-0272.  
    2. Your  on-island contact is Graeme D. Merrin, RA, ABR, GRI (808) 651-7211.  
  2. Resort Fees: HANALEI BAY RESORT WILL CHARGE YOU $12 PER DAY FOR RESORT USAGE, THIS INCLUDES LOCAL CALLS, PARKING AND POOL TOWELS.  THE GUEST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THESE CHARGES, DUE AT CHECKOUT. As of August 1st 2014 the resort fee will increase to $15/day
  3. THE HAPPY TALK LOUNGE & BALI HAI RESTAURANT ARE CLOSED.  THESE FACILITIES ARE PRIVATELY OWNED, NOT RESORT OWNED, AND ARE THEREFORE BEYOND OUR CONTROL.  WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE AVAILABILITY OF THE RESTAURANTS.  AS OF January 18, 2010 SANDWICHES ARE AVAILABLE POOLSIDE DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.  MANY LOCAL RESTUARANTS AND BARS ARE CLOSE BY, INCLUDING THOSE AT THE ST. REGIS NEXT DOOR.
  4. Amenities provided by third-party vendors (for example utility companies or subcontractors) are beyond our control.  We do our best to provide services such as cable television, internet, and resort telephones.  Should these be unavailable for part or all of your stay we will do our best to help restore services, but ultimately cannot be held responsible.  Should you absolutely require internet access we recommend you make arrangement for these services through a cell phone company.
  5. A $250 security deposit is required with this reservation and we will process a credit card authorization in that amount prior to your arrival.  This authorization will expire after your departure assuming no damages or fines are incurred.  A charge may result for damage to the condo, missing contents or for exceeding the stated number of overnight guests.  Damage in excess of the $250.00 security deposit will additionally be charged to your credit card commensurate with such damage.  Guests are responsible for reporting any damages immediately to the property manager, Kristen Greene, at (808) 346-0386 or kristen@alohacondos.com
  6. The reservation deposit is nonrefundable; however if a cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date, the full reservation deposit may be applied to a new set of reservation dates in the same condo beginning anytime up to one year from the original check-in date (subject to availability). Cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date results in loss of all payments.
  7. The regular occupancy for 4323 is 4.  The regular occupancy for unit 4324 is 2.  The regular occupancy for 4323/24 is 6.  Guests are obligated to disclose the actual number of occupants prior to arrival.
  8. We do our very best to have the units clean and in proper working order for your arrival.  Should there be any cleaning or maintenance problems please call your on-island contact at your first opportunity.  We require the opportunity to rectify any problems and will do so in a reasonable amount of time.
  9. At no time should anyone sleep on sofas other than sleeper sofas that are opened up and have sheets on them.
  10. A pack-n-play and booster seat are available at no extra charge, but must be requested via email to kristen@alohacondos.com at the time of booking or with reasonable notice prior to arrival.
  11. Stays of more than 10 days have additional mandatory interim-cleaning.  For example if you stay for 11 nights you would have an interim and a final outclean.  If you stay for 21 nights you would have two interim cleans and one outclean.
  12. Check-in time is 3 PM and checkout time is 10 AM.  Please be certain to plan your arrival and departure times accordingly.  Please understand we have a fluid cleaning schedule to accommodate so all condos are in terrific shape when guests arrive and we need to accommodate last minute bookings.  If we have a back-to-back (one set of guests leaving in the morning and another arriving in the afternoon) the cleaning takes several hours for most units.  For this reason housekeepers need to begin the cleaning at 10:00am.  Extra charges will apply if you have not departed at the start of the clean without having arranged for a late checkout.  To guarantee an early check in or late check out we recommend you book an extra night.
  13. Cleaning fees are based on an average hourly cost.  If the condo is left excessively messy and it can’t be made rent-ready within the cost of the cleaning fee, guests will be charged $37.50/hr for the additional cleaning.
  14. Suntan lotions, after-sun lotions and related products leave bleach-like stains in fabrics.  Please be careful with our upholstery and bedspreads.  We use white towels and white sheets for this reason, but it is not practical to have white sofas and bedspreads.  Please shower before getting into bed, and please sit on a towel if you have sun products on your skin and you want to sit on the upholstery.  Wash hands thoroughly after applying sun products to avoid accidentally damaging fabrics.  Guests are responsible for damage to linens and upholstery from products they use.
  15. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the condo or on the condo lanai and doing so will result in full loss of security deposit.  We have covered lanais, so the smoke gets trapped and blows into the unit.  
  16. Air conditioning is available.  Please know that Kauai has the most expensive electricity on the island and condo electric bills run between $450 and $700 a month.  Please help us to conserve electricity and keep our rates down by turning off the a/c when you are not home, keeping blinds closed during the day to keep the condo cool, and keeping windows and sliding doors closed when you are running the a/c.
  17. We provide sheets for each bed and two bath towels per stated guest.  There is no daily housekeeping service, but you are renting 4323 or 4323/24 you are welcome to use the washer/dryer in the unit.  If you are renting 4324 you are welcome to use the coin operated washers by the 4000 buildings. If you have an interim clean included with your reservation we will launder the linens during the clean.  Please do not leave personal laundry in the washer when housekeeping is coming for the interim clean.
  18. We also provide a reasonable amount of amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, soaps and detergents for your use.  Should you run out, you are responsible for purchasing additional products for the duration of your stay, unless you have an interim clean at which time we will replenish those supplies.
  19. Please make sure that all towels, beach equipment and remotes are left behind at the condo when you depart.  Turn keys in to the front desk. We charge replacement costs for each lost item (cost of item, travel time & accounting).  Generally items are lost because they are left in the rental car, so please check your car carefully before you leave for the airport.
  20. No pets of any kind are allowed except for service animals.
  21. Keep indoor furniture indoors, and outdoor furniture outdoors.  There is a $50 fee if furniture needs to be moved back to its original place upon your departure.  For example, if you move a large glass table, the management company will have to hire someone to go help the housekeeper put it back.
  22. Hurricane or Storm Policy: No refund will be given unless a “mandatory evacuation order” has been given by the National Weather Service for Princeville and the surrounding area.  In the event a mandatory evacuation order is issued we will refund unused portions of rent of a guest currently occupying the property and any advanced rents or deposits collected for a guest that is scheduled to arrive during the Hurricane Warning period.
  23. GUESTS ARE RESPONSILBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE HOUSE RULES OF HANALEI BAY RESORT.  Violation of the rules can result in fines, and guests are responsible for paying those fines.  In severe cases if guests are permanently removed from the condo and from the grounds of HBR by the homeowner, property manager, resort management company or the police the guest will not be refunded for rent paid for unused nights, even if the guest is prohibited from returning to the property.

 

 

Condominium living requires each resident to have respect for the needs and rights of others.  The main purpose of these rules is to provide for the enjoyment, comfort and safety of each owner and guest, to protect all the occupants at the resort from annoyance and nuisance caused by improper use of the common elements at HBR and to protect the value and desirability of HBR.

  • Conduct of Tenants & Guests
  •  
    • Owners are responsible for the conduct of their tenants & guests.  Owners unable to control the conduct of their tenants & guests shall, upon request of the board or managing agent, remove such persons from HBR.
  • Owner, Tenant and Guest Registration
  •  
    • Guest registration at the front desk upon arrival at HBR is mandatory for all occupants.  Parking permits and pool towels will only be provided to registered occupants.  All occupants must check-out with the front desk upon departure.
  • Animals
  •  
    • No pets of any kind are permitted at HBR, with the exception of service animals for persons with disabilities.  
    • Feeding or caring for stray animals or wild birds anywhere at HBR is prohibited.
  • Grills
  •  
    • Outdoor grilling or cooking is only permitted on the grills owned by the association in designated areas (by the round pool).  
    • Grilling or cooking on lanais is strictly prohibited.  Because our lanais are covered an open flame creates a fire hazard and risks smoke damage to the interior of the unit.  An open flame on the lanai is a serious offense as it is dangerous and violates our insurance policies.  Likewise, purchasing any kind of cooking device such as a hot plate for the interior of the unit is also strictly prohibited.
  • Trash Disposal and Recycling
  •  
    • All garbage, rubbish and trash must be properly bagged and placed at designated areas in the resort.  HBR is not responsible for the disposal of appliances, furniture or other large items from owner units.
  • Drugs
  •  
    • The illegal presence, possession or use of non-prescription drugs or other controlled substances is not permitted anywhere at HBR.
  • Noise
  •  
    • All owners and guests shall avoid excessive or disturbing noise of any kind at all times.  Quiet hours are in effect including but not limited to, lanais from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.  All radios, televisions, stereos, musical instruments or other music must be played at a reduced volume inside the condos during these quiet hours so as not to disturb other occupants.  Construction hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.  Excessive or disturbing noise of any kind at any time should be reported to the General Manager.
  • Appearance of Lanais
  •  
    • Lanai areas shall be kept in a neat, attractive and sanitary condition.  No objects are to be hung on the railings.  At no time should any debris or water be swept from upper level lanais onto lower level units.
  • No Smoking Policy
  •  
    • The board has adopted Hawaii’s “Smoke Free Law” for all of HBR.
    • Smoking is prohibited in all areas on the grounds and in and around the buildings including: all open areas such as lawn areas, tennis courts, the hot tub area and the swimming pool areas and all enclosed areas or partially enclosed areas including but not limited to all lanais. 
    • The only exception to this rule will be any areas designated as smoking areas which will be identified by appropriate signage. 
    • Violation of this rule shall be subject to the enforcement provisions of HBR and may also result in the imposition of any applicable penalty provisions set forth in Hawaii’s “Smoke Free Law”.
  • Parking
  •  
    • Registering your vehicle with the front desk is mandatory and you must display the proper parking permit at all times
    • No vehicle shall be parked or left unattended except in designated parking stalls.  Vehicles parked in handicapped parking stalls must display a current handicap placard.
    • Damage to vehicles and other objects shall be the responsibility of the person causing the damage and the owner.  
    • Violators of any of the above parking regulations shall have their vehicles towed away or immobilized at their own expense. 
  • Safety
  •  
    • Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, mopeds, rollerblades or other wheeled objects are not to be ridden on the walkways.  Walk your bikes to the unit.
    • Anyone found tampering with fire equipment or ventilation systems will be subject to criminal charges and/or be liable for repairs, replacement or damages caused to the building or personal property.
    • Every owner, tenant, and guest hereby grants a right of entry to any persons authorized by the General Manager in the event of an emergency originating in or threatening a Unit, whether or not the occupant is present at the time. 
    • No flammable or hazardous materials such as gasoline, kerosene or explosive materials or articles deemed hazardous to life, limb or property or the presence of which may increase HBR’s hazard or liability insurance premiums shall be stored in Owner storage closets or in Units. 
  • Swimming Pool and Hot Tub
  •  
    • Hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.  
    • Trespassers shall be fined up to $200 and removed from the premises.
    • There are no lifeguards on duty.  
    • Use of pools and hot tub is at your own risk. 
    • A responsible adult must accompany children under 12 when using the pools or hot tub.  
    • Appropriate swimwear is required.  Swim diapers required for children not yet potty trained.  
    • Children under 5 are not permitted in the hot tub at any time.
    • Swimming aids will be allowed in swim areas with adult supervision and should not interfere with other people’s use of the pool.
    • No climbing is allowed on the rocks in the pool or hot tub area.
    • There shall be no running, diving, pushing or spitting in or around pool or hot tub or grounds around the pool.
    • Game playing should not interfere with others use of the pools, create a safely hazard or create noise in the pool area.
    • The general manager has the right to determine if pool conduct is objectionable.
    • Use of the swimming pools and hot tub is limited to occupants of the units at HBR.  A limited number of guest passes may be issued at the front desk.
    • No smoking in or around pools or hot tub area.
    • No glass containers allowed.  All beverages are to be in plastic containers
    • Towels are available at the pool activity center or from the front desk and must be returned before additional towels may be received and no later than at check-out.  Unreturned towels are subject to a charge upon check-out.
  • Infractions against rules shall be punishable in the following manner
  •  
    • First offense: written notice shall be given informing the violator of the offense and requesting that they immediately curtail such action
    • Second offense: a second offense is a $150.00 fine and request that they immediately curtail such offense.
    • Third offense: onward incremental increases of fines of up to $1000.00 at the discretion of the General Manager, with a review by the Board of Directors, will be given for each repeated offense until such action is curtailed.

 

We just spend 5 wonderfull days and nights at your Condo 4323. This Condo is beautifully furnished and is in excellent conditions. Many thanks to the owners of this property! The kitchen is equipped with all you need - except a tea pot is missing - apparently tea is not the preferred drink on the island. We had stayed on Oahu, Hawaii, Maui and at last in Kauai. In total we were on the islands for almost 3 weeks - the stay at you place was the top. We would have liked to stay longer, but our return flights were booked, as was the Condo (people who know apparently recommend this Condo, which we are also doing to friends of us who want to come later this year.) the arrangements and booking through Mrs. Kirsten Greene and the immediate support when we had arrived has our great appreciation. All in all, we had a great time at your place, thanks again.

This unit is beautifully furnished with comfort in mind. The owners have put a lot of attention to details, and it really shows. We LOVED our breakfasts on the balcony, and our 9-yr-old daughters enjoyed early morning reading in the comfy chairs out there. Some of our favorite pictures are the ones from that balcony view of Hanalei Bay. We were usually gone all day and returned in the evenings to cook dinner. There is no need to buy cooking oils/spices as the kitchen is conveniently stocked with those sorts of things. If your activities are based on the North shore, this unit is a perfect location.

The accommodations were exceptional, and the amenities were even better. Although the resort was full, it was quiet and peaceful. After having visited all 4 of the major islands, this is by far my favorite place and finally felt like what I expected in Hawaii.

Having recently completed the refurbishment of HBR Condo 4323-4 (as well as having all main floors tiled in marble) we would like to thank our recent guests for their positive and encouraging words.
As owners we're elated that our guests find the new look comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

The view from the lanai was spectacular and we spent a lot of time hanging out there. The beds were very comfortable as was the living area. It would have been helpful if there instructions for the DVD player and the overhead fan in the living room did not work properly. There was an old floor fan in the loft that was broken and the maintenance people took it away. There needs to be a replacement fan there. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful escape on the north shore of Kauai!

This condo was pretty much everything we were looking for. Check-in was easy, although it does make it a little more of a hassle since you cannot drive on property and you have to wait on the bellman to take you and your luggage to the condo. If you didn't have much luggage this wouldn't be a concern. The condo itself was very nice. The asian motif throughout the unit was nice, it was well equipped with any "toy" that we might need (snorkels, body boards, tennis rackets, etc...) and all of the appliances were top-notch. The north shore probably isn't the most convenient location if you want to tour the whole island, but it is definitely quieter and it's great if you want to escape the crowds. The view from the lanai is incredible - overlooking Hanalei Bay and directly at Bali Hai. Only drawback I can find with this unit is that you have to pay for internet service and it doesn't offer wifi. However, the resort does have free wifi in the pool area, so this wasn't that big of a deal for us.

Condo 4323 at Hanalei Bay Resort was everything you can wish for in a vacation spot. This day and age there is such a flood of information on the web, that it makes it hard to find truly excellent places among all the other average places. This condo was an amazing find. It had everything you would want in a vacation rental plus many extras. It's spacious, clean, comfy furnishing, great kitchen, bathroom, laundry and a lanai that you can spend your whole vacation on. Hanalai Bay Resort has everything you want in a resort without crowds of other tourist. Wonderful pool, beach access and a great location. Highly recommend this condo to everyone!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hanalei Bay Resort, and at this condo in particular. First of all, the view!! It is truly unlike any other I've seen from any hotel. Second, the unit is huge! You truly feel at home. We had breakfast on the lanai every day, and it was wonderful every time. This was my first time to Kauai, and I had a truly magnificent time. I highly recommend this condo - you will love it.

Condo 4323 was just perfect. Everything we could ever need was provided incl. snorkel gear, tennis rackets, beach chairs etc. etc. It was beatifully furnished with fantastic new modern appliances. The location was excellent as it was in close proximity to both pools and tennis courts and a short stroll to the beach. I would highly recommend this beautiful condo!

Only rarely in life does something exceed expectations, especially when those expectations were very high to begin with. Condo 4323 was one of those rare cases--something truly "marvelous". Everything about this jewel-- its location, view, and interior decorations-- exceeded our hopes for a home away from home. We could only marvel at what we saw. Moreover, every request was not only met with warmth and kindness, but with a willingness to make it happen if possible-- it was like working with kind relatives. Also something to marvel at. My wife and I had a wonderful vacation-- my wife says among the very best ever-- and I know that Condo 4323 played the major role in the story. Thanks so much for contributing so much to making our vacation "marvelous".

My wife and I stayed at Hanalei Bay 4323 during our honeymoon. The condo was beautiful. The view was unmatched. I can't imagine staying anywhere nicer for the price. The grounds that the resort, and the resort staff in general were excellent. Everything was very well kept, and the pool and hot tub were never particularly crowded. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend renting this unit, or staying at this resort to our friends.

An awesome room with a view

This was an amazing condo. It is much more impressive in person than the pictures on the website. When you walk in , you are awe struck by the beautiful view of Hanelai Bay. The condo has a bar high table with 4 comfy bar stools on the lanai. We would sip our morning coffee, looking out at Hanelai Bay. One minute their was a light rain, and the next minute the sun was out and we were treated to a beautiful rainbow. This condo is totally updated I loved the beautiful granite kitchen with every convenience We stopped at Cosco, by the airport in Lihue {across from the mall} and stocked up on good wine, fish and steaks. We enjoyed grilling most nights and catching the sunsets as we ate dinner on the lanai. The pools were nice we enjoyed the circular pool, {very private} and at the large pool you could get grilled burgers from 11-2.We loved Hanelai Dolphin and one day picked up ahi and sushi to take back and enjoy on our lanai at sunset. Postcards and Mediteranean Gourmet are also good choices for dining out. We had a fun Saturday morning going to the farmers market in Hanelai {we loved Sal's salsa} .Their are great beaches, you can walk down to the beach at the resort,{if you are lugging alot beach cairs boogy boards, call for a tram to take you down to the beach, and you can call them to pick you up[ this beach is shared by the St Regis} The St Regis has a luau on Thursday nights and we enjoyed having a drink listening to great jazz and enjoying their spectacular view {that's on Sunday at 4} We did zip-lining at princeville ranch and that was a fun adventure. We can't wait to get back to this beautiful resort.

Still paradise after 20 years.

We stayed at HBR for our 20th anniversary after having been there for our honeymoon. The view from this unit was everything we remembered it to be. You feel like you are in heaven when you wake up in the morning and see the beautiful mountains, waterfalls and rainbows. This condo was very comfortably furnished and had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful and with great swimming and good snorkeling. The staff at the resort was very helpful. We hope to get back a lot sooner than 20 years!

This complex is great and the unit is even better! Great view from balconey and very spacious. The unit was very clean and comfortable. And the master bed is so comfortable. The pool is very nice. Large and has a nice tropical feel. The water is wonderful. Short walk to St. Regis where you can watch an amazing sunset. Best view on the north shore! No downfalls for the unit.It is perfect. The only problems I could see would be for people who are elderly. The resort is very hilly and hard to walk. Also, if you want immediate beach access it is a little bit of a walk. We enjoyed the walk to the beach, there is some great scenery. Also, the hilly walking didn't bother us as we are active. I wouldn't let it defer you from staying here even if you don't like walking. They have people with golf carts that will take you anywhere you want to go. If you buy groceries you can call them and they will meet you at your car, help you load the groceries, drive to your unit, and help you carry them up. This place was great. Loved the unit, would most definately stay here again! I miss it already!!!

This condo blew away our expectations. We absolutely loved it. It was spotless and everything was brand new. The entire place was well decorated and the lanai was beautiful... we spent hours on it every day! The owners left a great supply of beach supplies and we made good use of the laundry and dishwasher. Unit 4323 has a wonderful view. The funishings are of exceelent quality and aesthetics. The unit was well-stocked with everything I needed. The Tempurpedic King mattress in the master bedroom was comfortalbe, but was uneven with a bit of a depression--as though one side had been slept in for a long time. Probably time for a new mattress. Overall, a great stay.

Unit 4323 was beautiful; what a view! The unit is spacious and comfortable. It was tastefully furnished, and thoroughly appointed. The recently remodeled kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and more. The beach equipment was appreciated, as was the welcome tote bag. The tempurpedic bed in the main room is a luxury, especially when combined with the song birds and the view of the bay and mountains at sunrise. It is obvious that a lot of thoughtfulness and care was put into the accomodations. The location in the resort is great, not too far to walk to the car, and close to the main pool. I would gladly stay here again and again. The only downside to staying on the north side of the island is that it takes a long time to drive to the other side. Kristen was a pleasure to work with, and extremely helpful and professional. Thank you for allowing us a magical stay! We hope to be back soon.

My wife and I were very impressed with this well equipped condo with a great view of Hanalei Bay. The sunsets were incredible. The condo was very clean and very well equipped. (even a snorkel). The gift basket from Aloha was also very thoughtful and the coffee was enjoyed. It was also nice getting out of a Hotel and using the condo to make our food for a change. It was pretty quiet when we were there during the low season in October, but that suited us just fine. The weather was hot and sunny. The relaxed atmosphere was just what we needed to enjoy our stay in this beautiful area of Hawaii. Thank-you for the wonderful time. We would recommend this condo to our family and friends.

We just spend 5 wonderfull days and nights at your Condo 4323. This Condo is beautifully furnished and is in excellent conditions. Many thanks to the owners of this property! The kitchen is equipped with all you need - except a tea pot is missing - apparently tea is not the preferred drink on the island. We had stayed on Oahu, Hawaii, Maui and at last in Kauai. In total we were on the islands for almost 3 weeks - the stay at you place was the top. We would have liked to stay longer, but our return flights were booked, as was the Condo (people who know apparently recommend this Condo, which we are also doing to friends of us who want to come later this year.) the arrangements and booking through Mrs. Kirsten Greene and the immediate support when we had arrived has our great appreciation. All in all, we had a great time at your place, thanks again.

Hanalei Bay resort afforded us great views, a nice place to stay and wonderful time. The pool is great and the low-key pace was a plus. None of the stuffiness of the P'ville, but also don't expect luxury bathrooms, etc. The unit was attractively furnished, with a decent kitchen, beach toys, and great teak lanai chairs. HBR/Bali Hai Restaurant being closed during our stay and the prohibition on getting drinks by the pool were our only complaints. Had an almost 2 year old with us who loved the pool, the deck, etc. We would definitely consider this again for another Princeville trip.

We stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort condo #4323 (Oct 2008) after being upgraded (moved) from a smaller lock off room due to being informed that both the restaurant and lounge had been closed.This was our honeymoon after being married days previous at the Grand Hyatt Kauai south shore which we stayed for the week. Let me start by saying we are not condo people or had not considered being the type before our stay. We arrived at night and were amazed at the quality and decor of the condo and touched by a welcome basket filled with goodies and wine. In the morning I opened the shades and literally gasped at the most breathtaking view I had ever seen. The picture from the website does not do it justice, the view is AMAZING. The condo owners thought of everything from snorkel gear to candles every detail they included was so nice. We had a wonderful honeymoon and fell in love with the north shore! When you envision Hawaii this is it!!! We did have some issues with the dishwasher and drain in the bath but the condo was getting an overhaul the day after we left. Advice: 1. Have your breakfast and happy hour at sunset on the lanai. 2. Go to the fish market and grill for dinner 3. Zip line or hike. 4. Postcards Restaurant for a lovely meal. and 5. R E L A X

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at HBR in #4323. The owners have put much effort and care into their condo.; it is beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, well maintained and very clean. We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen had everything we needed (and more) to prepare meals. The BBQ centre was very convenient to the condo. Eating on the lanai was wonderful with the incredible views. The beautiful lanai furniture was one of the many highlights of this condo, with raised table/chairs to maximize the view, and comfy lounge chairs. The in-unit washer/dryer was nice to have, although for those renting a studio unit, there is a laundry facility just a few steps from this building. The king size bed was very comfortable. Both the living room and bedroom had a full wall of windows/patio doors to take in the magnificent views of the bay and Bali Hai. In all of our travels I don't think I've stayed anywhere with a view as beautiful as this! The owners have thought of just about everything for guests' enjoyment, with boogie boards, beach mats, umbrellas, cooler, etc. The resort itself is very nice ... beautiful landscaping/gardens, impressive & large free form pool with waterfalls, and nice lobby where the Happy Talk Lounge is. There are 8 tennis courts spread out throughout the resort. The walk to the beach down the paved path takes about 5 minutes .... it's a bit of a workout coming up, but we liked the exercise, and for those who want a ride, there is a call-box at the bottom to call for a shuttle to the top. Can't wait to go back!

We spent an amazing week at the Hanalei Bay Resort condo 4323 in Princeville, HI. The condo was clean and very tastefully decorated. The views from both the main lanai and the master bedroom lanai were breathtaking. Having a full kitchen was so nice; we bought fresh produce at the farmer's market a short distance from the condo, as well as fresh fish from the two local fish markets. We enjoyed many meals out on the lanai. Not only did we have a gorgeous view of the Hanalei Bay but also a view of Bali Hi and the waterfalls coming down from the mountain. We also enjoyed the short drive to several beautiful beaches. Our only disappointment was the fact that the Bali Hi Restaurant and Tiki Lounge were both closed for remodeling at the time of our stay. We would stay at the condo again if these amenities were available.
