Policies

Kanaloa at Kona 3504 Reservation and Rental Policy

 

 

Deposit and Payment:

  •  A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation.
  • Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the check-in date.
  • A security deposit of $250.00 is authorized, but not actually charged aginst your credit card.  You will not be charged unless there is a need to for damages or other reasons (see general policies below)  which will be discussed with you prior to any charges being run against your credit card.    

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date can have the deposit applied to a stay at the same Aloha Condos property within one year of the original check-in date.
  • Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits and rental balance due payments.

Cleaning Fees:

  • All reservations are subject to a check-out cleaning fee of $125.00.
  • Stays of more than 12 days have additional interim cleaning fees of $125.00 for every ten days.  For example, if you had reserved the condo for 18 days, you would be charged for two cleanings total - one interim cleaning and one check-out cleaning.

Check-In/Checkout:

  • Check-In Time is anytime after 3:00 PM.  Early check-ins will incur additional charges.
  • Checkout Time is anytime before 11:00 AM.
  • We can accommodate early check-in or check-out if the condo is not booked on the day you arrive or depart.  The fee for early check in and check out is typically 50% of daily condo rental.    

Air Conditioning:

  • Central air conditioning is available at a rate of $15.00 per day.
  • Air conditioning is required from June 1st through October 31st and is optional for all other dates.

General Policies:

  • Please make sure that all keys are left behind at the condo. We charge a $50.00 replacement fee for each lost key.
  • All condos are non-smoking units and no pets are allowed in any unit.
  • We allow a maximum of four overnight guests for unit 3504.
  • We charge a fee of $15.00 for any missing beach or bath towels upon checkout.

Cleaning Request of Guests:

  • Please make sure you take out the garbage during your stay and before you depart.  The dumpster is to your right when you exit the condo and on the left side of the car port at the very end.
  • We would appreciate it if you would please wash the beach towels before you depart on the last day of your vacation stay.  This really helps the cleaning person on same day guest departures and arrivals.   

 

Refirgerator and Air Conditioner Operation

  • Please do not turn the refrigerator setting above normal since turning up the temperature inside the refrigerator for a prolonged time will result in condensation forming in the water/ice dispenser and overflowing onto the floor. 
  • Please do not turn the AC to hgh to cool the condo down as this really does not cool the condo any faster and if left on high can cause the AC coil to develop ice.  The icing of the AC coil will result in the AC running contnuoulsy and not really cool as it did prior to the icing.  This problme will happen to most AC units and is not unique to the AC system in this condo. Please set the AC to Auto not On. If you set the AC to On rather than Auto the AC will run continuously.    

 

 

 

My wife and I attended our niece's wedding in Kona. We sought out a 1br condo near the ocean and convenient to local activities. #3504 fit our needs perfectly! Coffee on the lanai every morning listening to the crashing ocean waves and chirping birds. One night we hosted my mom & dad, brother & sister-in-law for a cookout with dinner on the lanai. Community gas grill just a few steps away, seating for six at the beautiful wood table, and a few Kona Big Wave's made for a memorable evening! (And beautiful weather with ocean sound effects!). Great communication with Lowell throughout. Mahalo G&K

We had a great 3 week stay at Kanaloa at Kona Unit #3504. The condo is comfortable, reasonably updated and the view & location can't be beat. The value is also very good for the price point. Our only complaint would be that we wished there were more comfortable chairs on the lanai. Being from landlocked Alberta we like to spend a lot of time sitting relaxing and enjoying the water and the view and found the teak very hard to sit on even with cushions.

We love Kona and all that the Big Island has to offer and we took advantage of every opportunity to explore the Island, go on a lot of boat trips right out of the bay, which is only a 5 minute walk from the condo, and found many treasures.

We would definitely recommend Kanaloa at Kona unit 3504 and would consider staying here again on our next visit to the Big Island.

Everything was ever so enjoyable. The unit was spotless when we arrived and fully furnished. Love the condo decor, the view from the deck and the Kanaloa facility with all it's wonderful amenities. The location is terrific, close to all tour guides, beaches, shopping and the movies. If I had to complain at all, it would be you need a new couple of frying pans and a much softer mattress both on the Murphy bed and master bedroom. Other than that, absolutely I shall return! This was my second visit so the next will be my third! See you in 2 years when I return. Mahalo.

Heaven on Earth

My sister and I stayed at this beautiful property for 9 nights during March 2015. Before I discuss what I loved about it, I want to first say that the owner, Lowell, was a dream to book with. From my initial enquiry through to answering a couple of queries whilst away, he always responded promptly, was helpful and courteous and went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect. I just knew from the outset that we were going to have a wonderful holiday and indeed we did.

The condo was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was clean, modem and well taken care of. The location really suited us but a car is needed as the trolley service is infrequent and is really the only public transport option to get you into town. That said, the local shopping centre was close enough to walk to and there were plenty of places to eat and socialise there. We used the resort office to book a taxi and car hire and they were really helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The onsite restaurant is closed which I did miss but I understand that most guests take advantage of the full cooking facilities in their condos so it isn't a cost efficient service to run.

All the photos are true to life and if I dare say, the views from the lanai are even more impressive in real life. It was so peaceful and relaxing sitting out of an evening and listening to the ocean. Our first trip to Hawaii was every part as magical as we had hoped and I know that a huge part of that was having the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home away from home.

Thank you Lowell for everything. We cannot recommend this condo highly enough if you are looking for a little piece of heaven on earth.
