Policies

Kanaloa at Kona 3504 Reservation and Rental Policy

 

 

Deposit and Payment:

  •  A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be received to confirm a reservation.
  • Full payment of the rental balance due is required no less than 30 days prior to the check-in date.
  • A security deposit of $250.00 is authorized, but not actually charged aginst your credit card.  You will not be charged unless there is a need to for damages or other reasons (see general policies below)  which will be discussed with you prior to any charges being run against your credit card.    

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date can have the deposit applied to a stay at the same Aloha Condos property within one year of the original check-in date.
  • Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will forfeit all deposits and rental balance due payments.

Cleaning Fees:

  • All reservations are subject to a check-out cleaning fee of $125.00.
  • Stays of more than 12 days have additional interim cleaning fees of $125.00 for every ten days.  For example, if you had reserved the condo for 18 days, you would be charged for two cleanings total - one interim cleaning and one check-out cleaning.

Check-In/Checkout:

  • Check-In Time is anytime after 3:00 PM.  Early check-ins will incur additional charges.
  • Checkout Time is anytime before 11:00 AM.
  • We can accommodate early check-in or check-out if the condo is not booked on the day you arrive or depart.  The fee for early check in and check out is typically 50% of daily condo rental.    

Air Conditioning:

  • Central air conditioning is available at a rate of $15.00 per day.
  • Air conditioning is required from June 1st through October 31st and is optional for all other dates.

General Policies:

  • Please make sure that all keys are left behind at the condo. We charge a $50.00 replacement fee for each lost key.
  • All condos are non-smoking units and no pets are allowed in any unit.
  • We allow a maximum of four overnight guests for unit 3504.
  • We charge a fee of $15.00 for any missing beach or bath towels upon checkout.

Cleaning Request of Guests:

  • Please make sure you take out the garbage during your stay and before you depart.  The dumpster is to your right when you exit the condo and on the left side of the car port at the very end.
  • We would appreciate it if you would please wash the beach towels before you depart on the last day of your vacation stay.  This really helps the cleaning person on same day guest departures and arrivals.   

 

Refirgerator and Air Conditioner Operation

  • Please do not turn the refrigerator setting above normal since turning up the temperature inside the refrigerator for a prolonged time will result in condensation forming in the water/ice dispenser and overflowing onto the floor. 
  • Please do not turn the AC to hgh to cool the condo down as this really does not cool the condo any faster and if left on high can cause the AC coil to develop ice.  The icing of the AC coil will result in the AC running contnuoulsy and not really cool as it did prior to the icing.  This problme will happen to most AC units and is not unique to the AC system in this condo. Please set the AC to Auto not On. If you set the AC to On rather than Auto the AC will run continuously.    

 

 

 

I was in the condo by myself and my kids and their families were in two different units in this complex. This unit was my favorite of the 3 we occupied. I loved how bright it was in the unit. I thought it was very comfortable, liked the kitchen and the furnishings. The bed was comfortable and I loved the fan in the bedroom. The stereo was a great addition. And the mornings were enjoyed on the deck the view was lovely. The owners were great to work with! Thank you!

Good Value for the Price Point

We found alohacondos.com fairly and accurately represented the unit’s features and benefits. The upgrades in the suite are nice, especially the opening up of the wall in the galley kitchen to be able to enter and leave it from both sides—nice touch, I don’t know if any other of the one bedroom rentals have this feature, and it really helped open up the whole front end of the suite. Furniture, wall accents, and granite counter tops are very tastefully done, and the A/C never let us down! I hope as time goes on the upgrades don’t stop as this unit has the potential to be the best in the complex. We absolutely loved the view from the lanai and spent many hours watching the two bays in front of us. The teak table is wonderful and the perfect size, and we did not miss having an eating table inside the unit at all—we always ate on the lanai. Minor issues for us: While the teak chairs on the lanai look great, they are not the most comfortable for spending hours on the lanai enjoying the view, at least not for 50+ year old bones! We bought some extra cushions to put on top of the cushions already on the chairs thinking that would help, but it didn't. We also found the cutlery and silverware appear to be at the end of their life cycles and it sure would be nice to see those replaced for future guests. Bottom line is we will definitely be back. Lowell was EXCELLENT when dealing with some concerns we had at the very beginning of our stay, after that--everything went smooth and was one of the best of our Hawaii trips over the last 10 years. A great condo in a great location

The Kanaloa complex is on the water a couple miles south of Kailua and is in a quiet residential area off the main street. We found the condo clean, updated, reasonably well stocked, well maintained, and with a very attentive owner. The view of the Keauhou harbor and Sheraton resort is exceptional. Minor shortcomings in our opinion include no inside dining table, low level of lighting in the main living room (only one floor lamp for reading), and uncomfortable wooden lanai chairs without cushions. Still, it's a very good choice, and we intend to return.

Lovely condo, great location and great views

We stayed for a week, the condo was nicely decorated, clean and a gorgeous view rom the lanai. It was nice to have the washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen and two full baths. Lowell, the owner was prompt in always getting back to us.
