A $500 security deposit authorization is required with this reservation and we will process a credit card authorization in that amount 7 days prior to your arrival. A charge may result for damage to the condo or contents, missing contents, excessive cleaning required after checkout or for exceeding the maximum number of overnight guests.
We allow a maximum of 6 overnight guests. With more than 4 guests, a $30 fee per additional guest is charged per day. Falsely representing fewer guests than are actually staying will result in loss of all payments and immediate eviction.
The initial reservation deposit is nonrefundable; however if cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to the check-in date, the full initial reservation deposit may be applied to the Balance Due of a new reservation in the same condo with a check-in anytime up to one year from the original check-in date (subject to availability). A subsequent cancellation of this second reservation at any time results in loss of all payments.
Full Payment of the Balance Due is required 30 days prior to the check-in date. The Balance Due will not change as a result of changes to Taxes due after your reservation has been made with your paid deposit.
Cancellation made within 30 days of the check-in date or after Full Payment is made results in loss of all payments. Any exception to the cancellation policies above and/or any refund amount provided is at the sole discretion of the Owner or their duly authorized agent.
Hurricane, Tsunami or Storm Policy: No refund will be given unless a mandatory evacuation order has been given by the National Weather Service for Kailua-Kona and the surrounding area. In the event a mandatory evacuation order is issued we will refund unused portions of rent, less non-recoverable fees, of a guest currently occupying the property. We will refund any advanced rents or deposits collected, less non-recoverable fees, for a guest that is scheduled to arrive during the evacuation period.
Check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 11 AM. Please be certain to plan your arrival and departures times accordingly. An early check-in time or a late check-out time may be available and is subject to a fee. You can contact us for more details and so our support staff can attempt to work around your schedule.
You must register at the Kanaloa Front Desk upon arrival (or promptly the next morning if after-hours arrival). You will need to provide the names in your party, reachable phone number, flight information, vehicle description and plate and other relevant information as required.
Central air conditioning is available at a daily fee calculated on the website. Air conditioning is required from June 1st through October 31st and is optional for all other dates.
Smoking is strictly prohibited on the entire Kanaloa Property, in the condo or on the condo lanai and doing so will result in full loss of security deposit & immediate eviction. Additional fees to eliminate all smoke residuals in the condo, including replacement costs as necessary will also be charged.
High-quality, expensive mattresses (Bergad & Sleep Number) are installed in this condo. Waterproof mattress pads are available. Please use these pads if needed. The full replacement cost of a new mattress (more than $4000 for the Sleep Number) will be charged if a mattress needs to be replaced due to guest negligence.
Due to allergies, no pets of any kind are allowed. The policy for No Pets in our condo is the same as with No Smoking.
This rental unit complies with Hawaii County's Short Term Vacation Rental (STVR) Good Neighbor Policy:
(A) Quiet hours shall be from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, during which time the noise from this STVR shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
(B) Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
(C) Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated parking area.
(D) This STVR shall not be used for commercial purposes.
