Unit 301 at the Maui Kai is a one-bedroom, third-floor corner beachfront condo with approximately 700 square feet in living space that was remodeled in 2006. This luxurious air-conditioned condo has incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, the Island of Lanai (south) and the Island of Molokai (north) and is located on beautiful Kaanapali Beach in West Maui, only 2 miles north of the Lahaina Town Center. The Maui Kai Beach Resort's location - between the Embassy Suites Resort and the Mahana Resort - makes it an ideal location for to take advantage of all of the great activities that Maui has to offer.
Condo View
Breathtaking is the best way to describe the oceanfront view from Maui Kai 301. Drink in over 180 degrees of expansive panoramic views from your luxurious corner condo location on the famous Ka'anapali beach. Unique to this area, 'Sunset Alley' between the islands of Lanai and Molokai, boasts gorgeous sunsets all year round.
Your private lanai offers an intimate perspective of ocean and beach especially for watching turtles, spinner dolphins and of course humpback whales during the winter season. The waters in front of Maui Kai resort are good for swimming and relaxing on our long sandy beach.
If the surf's up, get ready for up front seating on your private lanai, and watch exciting water sports attracting professional surfers, kite surfers, windsurfers and boogie boarders alike!
Lanai
Maui Kai unit 301 has a spacious open air lanai , boasting incredible ocean views and a spectacular direct beachfront, corner location. Indulge yourself with the luxury of napping or truly 'Awaking to Waves' on our comfortable full size futon bed. Your 3rd floor perspective is unmatched for intimate viewing of whales frolicking in the waters below during the months of December through April.
No matter what time of year, you will find yourself spending lots of time lounging in the peace of your private lanai; from nightly sunsets sinking between the islands of Lanai and Molokai (affectionately called 'Sunset Alley') to breakfasts hovering over the gentle waves. You may never want to leave your little slice of Paradise, Maui Kai 301.
Living Room
Lounge on your newly upholstered, Hawaiian Bird of Paradise design, sleeper-sofa that is spacious enough for curling up during the day or sleep the night next to the waves on a high quality Queen size mattress.
Whether fresh tropical breezes entering through your extra wide sliding glass doors, or selecting a perfect temperature with central A/C controls, you will feel at home in Maui Kai 301.
Relax and drink in unobstructed ocean views, made more spectacular by floor to ceiling mirrors along the main living room wall. Reflected island and Pacific blues surround you in the magic that made Ka'anapali Beach famous. Put your feet up and enjoy the many amenities that will make your Hawaiian vacation with us so special. Maui Kai 301 has cable TV with HBO, a large collection of VCR and DVD movies, various music CDs including several local Hawaiian artists, or curl up with a book. All of this, including a few board games, fill your private in-room library.
Dining
Wake up to the sound of waves and brew yourself a pot of coffee in room, or head down to the lobby for complimentary Kona coffee, Hawaii's finest. Or sample a delicious specialty coffee: Mocha, French Vanilla or Cappuccino. Coffee is available and complimentary to our guests every morning from 7-9 am. Maui Kai's open air lobby beckons you to step out onto the beach to enjoy your coffee beside the surf- toes in the sand or barefoot dangling on the sea wall taking in Maui's lovely morning light.
Take a walk along the beach! There are several restaurants within a 5 minute barefoot :) walk in either direction- refer to our in room orientation book for reviews on many of our favorite restaurants.
With your fully equipped kitchen, poolside BBQ grills, live music next door and several dining locations only a few barefoot steps away. Or perhaps you seek an evening in lively downtown Lahaina, only 5 miles away. Food will be one of your most memorable experiences you will bring home from your vacation in Paradise!
Kitchen

Your custom bar-style island offers easy seating for conversation or a quick snack, and also makes a great workstation for those who need to check into the 'real world' while on vacation.
Spacious maple cabinets are filled with everything you will need to prepare anything from frozen cocktails to a 3 course meal. Everyone will appreciate the ease and spaciousness of the kitchen layout and the new, full size appliances make meal preparation a joy.
Bedroom
Enjoy a perfect night sleep in a king-size Select Comfort 'Sleep Number' bed that allows each side to adjust its firmness individually. Hand made island style Bali furniture adorn the spacious master bedroom.
Boasting yet another gorgeous view, Maui's famous West Side Mountains seen bedside, will greet you in the morning and the tropical breezes move easily through the room most days here in Paradise.
Maui Kai 301 has central A/C as well as a ceiling fan in each room. The master bedroom fan offers added customized comfort with an adjustable speeds and dim capable lighting. If curling up with a book before bed is your wish, there is separate bedside lighting for each side of the bed.
Inside the Master closet you will find two sets of dry snorkels (no more inhaling water!) and masks, two sets of fins, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and cooler. No need to rent a thing to enjoy the ocean playground at your doorstep!
Bathroom
Maui Kai 301's bathroom offers custom beauty and functionality, a perfect union for taking you a world away. Unique features such as Indonesian stone bowl sink, locally sculpted pewter 'Honu' (turtle) drawer pulls and sapphire granite countertop make for a lovely environment to enjoy the West Maui Mountain views.
An adorable, hand painted, baby 'Honu' (turtle) greets you as you enter the unique beauty of your custom shower. Revel in your fully adjustable twin massage showerheads allowing you to select 'rain' or 'penetrating massage' pressure. Don't forget, the shower bar adjusts for a perfect height fit too!
