Condo 403

3-Bedroom 2-Bath Beachfront Condo - Sleeps 8 [?]

  Best vacation and location!!

Location location location!! The condo was great! Beds were very comfortable. The beach access was great. It is like having your own personal beach area. We saw sea turtles and swam with them daily. The tropical fish were a few steps into the water!! Our family claims this was the best vacation ever! We plan on returning to stay again! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

  Great place to stay!

From start to finish our stay at 403 was fantastic. Chuck was always very prompt in replying to emails and questions. The condo is located in a nice area with smaller buildings and stores within walking distance. Also close to other beaches on the West side, this made it easy to check out several different beaches during our week long stay. When we weren't out taking in the beauty of the island we sat on the balcony and watched the turtles coming in and out to feed and looked for whale action. Having the boogie boards available to us was also nice, one less thing to rent, we made good use of them. The grills on site were really nice and worked great. I would highly recommend staying here, it is close to so many places and a great way to be able to enjoy Maui and the ocean every minute you are visiting. The only bad thing about staying here was having to leave!

Great location and views, not too crowded, good price

3 BR top floor condo with excellent views out and down the beach. Nice sandy beach and pool, which is unusual for Honokowai condos. The condo was strangely renovated, with a smallish living room and kitchen, but larger bedrooms. It still needed an upgrade for the kitchen. Also, the upstairs master BR has an open ceiling to the guest room, so if parents are planning for some privacy from the kids - forget it ! All-in-all I would recommend this place to someone who has not been to Hawaii before. It's close to lots of activities, especially in Lahaina, but is quite a drive from Road to Hana or Haleakala. I recommend going up to Napili beach for sunning and snorkeling, and DT Fleming for boogie boarding. both are within 10 minute drive. There is good snorkeling at Nohonani if you go straight out about 100 yards. Well tended grounds and lush plant life really added to the stay.

Terrific location and view, comfortable condo.

We spent 10 nights at 403 in Nov 2011. We were 2 couples. I especially appreciated that the condo really has 2 master suites along with a 3rd bedroom. We spent many hours on the lanai enjoying the expansive views. New paint throughout the condo looked good. Bathrooms, kitchen and carpet are overdue for updates. We loved the snorkeling at our own private beach. We swam near giant sea turtles daily and among hundreds of reef fish. Near shore is a lava/coral reef which is good, but 200 yards out from shore is a spectacular reef with clear deep water. I recommend Nohonani 403 and would stay there again.

  Simply delightful

Nohonani Condo 403 was everything we wanted and much more. We stayed there from Sept. 26-Oct. 3rd and found it very quiet and very restful. We were a party of seven and when we walked in we were thrilled with the size and cleanliness of the condo. More thrilling was the ocean view and being right on the beach. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was simply heavenly. We usually ate breakfast on the lanai and every day, around noon or so we were so lucky to watch the wonderful sea turtles swimming. Due to the rocky area right as you enter the water from the beach swimming was not always the best but my husband, daughter and her friend did enjoy going snorkeling a few times. The swimming pool was wonderful and we usually had it to ourselves. The location of the Condo is fabulous. You can walk to several different places, such as the grocery store, coffee shop, small farmers market, even a yummy taco truck that was there most evenings. Boss Frog is right down the street and that is where we rented our snorkeling equipment. Everybody we met was very friendly and very helpful. We felt fortunate to be less than 5 minutes from Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village. Our all time favorite beach which was about 10 minutes away was Kapalua Bay Beach located in Napili. If you want to snorkel this is the place to go. If we ever get the chance to return to Maui we would stay at Nohonani condos and resort again. It truly felt like home away from home and it was very difficult to leave.

  Comfortable stay in Lahaina

Our stay involved two sets of parents, one infant and two toddlers. Location and access to beach and pool on the property were excellent. Kids enjoyed both the pool and the beach. The regular and daily sea turtle observations from the balcony were fun. The 403 unit is a bit dated, could use a bit of soundproofing and cosmetic renos, but the views from this suite are exceptional and overall the suite is well equipped and stocked to accomodate 4 adults and 3 kids. Great location in terms of closeness to grocery stores, various restaurants (Maui Tacos, Famous Dave's) and the public beaches (if you have kids ask about Baby Beach, great find if you have kids). Check in / check out and directions were all seamless and helpful. Thanks for accomdating us Chuck! Much appreciated. Overall a great week in Maui in a comfortable suite, close to everything, with a great view overlooking the ocean.

  Glorious time in Maui

#403 was instrumental to the 8 glorious days we spent in Maui. The condo was roomy, clean & well equipped for a family of 5 incl. 2 teen girls and 1 preteen boy. We had absolutely no issues with any type of tropical pests. We saved lots of $$ by cooking in the well equipped kitchen & snorkeling 3-4x a day at the condo's beach. Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Also saw turles and eagle rays very close to the beach and dolphins passing by past the reef. Warm constant breezes kept the condo cool. Laniuopoko beach is only a 15 minute drive for good surfing. Great neighbors, too! Can't wait to go back and be that relaxed again!

Beautiful view, gross place to stay

Many reviews talk about the beautiful views. And this place definitely has an amazing view from the main living area. You will see sea turtles swimming by. However, the pictures make it look like the owners have really updated this place. Not true! All they did was put in some new furniture and bedspreads. The kitchen is gross with cracked tiles and ants everywhere. We were travelling with 2 babies. It's a lovely feeling knowing that ants would probably be crawling all over their boxes of food and water cups. The dishes that we did attempt to use were dirty. Both bathrooms were so outdated and dinghy looking. I went to get in the shower and there was hair on the floor and wall. Gross! After our dinner, we came back to find bugs all over the main living area. My husband started taking pictures of the various bugs from flying ones to roach looking ones. These were different bugs than the ants that were all over the kitchen. To end the lovely day, I went to get in bed upstairs (in the sweltering heat - no aC and the fans totally did not cool things down) and the sheet was stained and there was hair in several places on the sheets. Disgusting! I do not recommend staying here at all unless if you like living in bug infested unsanitary conditions. We moved to the Kaanapali Shores and got a beautiful new looking condo for the rest of the week that was impeccably clean and the same price.

—Tammy0927 (07/21/2011)

Manager response:

Tammy, you obviously did not enjoy yourself. Im glad that you at least liked the view. I honestly had a hard time determining who you were, since you decided to write a review 9 months after your visit. I apologize if the cleaners did a less than thorough job, and I regret that you did not phone one of the numbers provided to you during your visit if you were less than satisfied. It must have been difficult holding in your frustration all of this time. This is an older condo, and it does show some wear & tear, but improvements are being made constantly and Im happy that subsequent guests have had a much better experience than you did.   Relaxing Get-Away

We would rate the condo a 5-star for location, view, privacy and ambience. The main living area was comfortable and clean with updated furniture and a large lanai. The gift basket was a thoughtful gesture including coffee and cookies. We were all a bit surprised, though, at the run-down condition of the upstairs and, particularly, the 3rd bedroom. No closet, peeling wallpaper and mold. The bathrooms were clean enough but all doors need replacing. We also had an ant infestation in the kitchen area. There wasn't anyone available to talk to on the property about this and we never met Bill, the property manager, even after inquiring at the rental office. Finally, we had to purchase our own papergoods because there was only one extra roll of T.P. and P.T. which wasn't enough for 6 adults for a week. All in all, we enjoyed the experience, with reservations. This could be an exceptional rental with some much needed upgrades.

Amazing View, Wonderful Place to Stay

We had a wonderful time staying in #403, it had an amazing view and was well kept. Also, it was great to have two floors as we stayed with another couple and still felt it was very private. The kitchen had everything you needed and we cooked a lot to keep the cost down. The beach was incredible, we swam and snorkeled and saw huge sea turtles. The only drawbacks were that there was no air conditioning and it was pretty hot expecially on the second floor. The fans helped but was not enough to keep it cool. Also, I think there are some mice in the unit as we had our bread and crossants on top of the frige and we took them down one morning to eat and there were little holes and bites out of them so we had to throw them away. We didn't see any droppings or the mice themselves but did see the evidence of them eating our food on top of the frige. Overall our stay was lovely and we could see staying there again.

  Great vacation at #403

We had a wonderful time staying in Nohonani #403. It s great to find an affordable place that could handle 7 people, with comfortable sleeping arrangement and ease of movement throughout the place. It was great to have the ability to cook meals and save a few dollars, rather than eating out at everyone meal. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The view of the ocean is awesome...and right from our lanai, we could watch the sea turtles, whales and a monk seal!! And the sunsets were amazing...every night we stepped out onto the lanai to watch the sun set and listen to the conk shell "ceremonies". The "Welcome" basket was such a nice touch, after traveling so many hours to get there...we were exhausted and it was such a treat to see that waiting for us!!! We will be back!!!

  Sea Turtles!

condo was very comfortable, had a nice lanai with table and chair that looked right down on the water. The most exciting aspect was that you looked directly down from the lanai to see over 30 sea turtles feeding on the coral reef not 20 feet offshore.

  Wonderful!

Our stay at Nohonani #403 was wonderful!! We found the unit to be beautifully appointed, and clean. It was in the perfect location! I have stayed at other condos in the area, and Nohonani #403 was far and away the very best! I can't wait to go back!

  Great location! Fantastic view!

The condo's location is right on the beach. The sound of waves fills the condo at night, creating a very relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Every morning right from the bedroom windows you can see turtles feeding just off shore. During the days great restaurants and markets are just a short walk down the street. The area is not over populated, unlike other areas of Maui. The beach on the property is small but absolutely great for snorkeling. You don't have to go more than 5 feet out to see a variety of fish. We enjoyed that the beach was a bit more private than others on the island. Seeing whales each night and hearing the conches blow at sun down was amazing. We stayed here for 5 days with a group of 6. We had an awesome time and would recommend it to others who are not looking for a party location, but rather to relax and enjoy the environment around them. Aloha and mahalo!

  A Wonderful Christmas in Maui

The Nohonani Condo 403 was an awesome place for our large family to celebrate Christmas! The 3 private rooms gave each couple a place to retreat to and the main living area was large enough to accomodate Christmas morning with many people and presents. The views from the condo are gorgeous, we even saw sea turtles, a whale, and a rainbow from the lanai. The condo is close to shopping, restaurants, and it is a quick trip to Lahaina by rental car. The pool and private beach are awesome. Make sure you bring water shoes as there are sharp rocks in the ocean. We'd book this condo again in a heartbeat!

This is an amazing value for the prime location.

Our family of 5 plus my daughter's boyfriend spent 5 days here (we ended our vacation on Oahu and we were all wishing we'd stayed longer in Nohonani #403!). We saw (and swam with) sea turtles every day and even saw a couple of whales from a distance. The location is perfect, away from the crowds in Lahaina but close enough to visit daily if desired. We were very comfortable here and loved the sound of the surf. It is well furnished. A few cons: the smoke alarm goes off very easily (even making toast). Ceilings are low - must be careful not to stretch standing below the ceiling fans. A few lamps had burned out bulbs. The beautiful master bedroom would benefit by adding a mirror, which would free up the demand on the upstairs bathroom. The bathtubs are a little worn but that didn't bother us. We would definitely return.

  Absolute Island Paradise

Nohonani #403 was absolutely perfect for our family. Plenty of space to spread out on 2 levels with a beautiful lanai. The idea location, right on the beach provided excellent snorkeling and sunning. The pool is wonderful entertainment for kids. We will stay at this unit again, time after time.

  Excellent Oceanfront Maui Condo

We surprised my Mom with a weekend on the West Side of Maui for her 75th birthday. This condo was amazing! It's right on the ocean with a great swimming beach which is a rare find in this area. We saw the turtles swimming right in front of our condo. It's well appionted with every kitchen item you could need. The beds are so comfortable and are on the ocean side of the unit so you have a nice breeze all night. We've already booked this for a long weekend in November and plan many more stays at this condo. It's laid out perfect for our family with two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs and another master suite downstairs for Grandma.

  Enchanting

We've just returned from 10 enchanting days in paradise and a dream vacation at Nohonandi Condo #403. The condo was stellar and fully equipped. There was binoculars, books, CDS (even a CD guide for The Road To Hana), boogie boards, a cooler & anything & everything one could need-(the only thing missing was a pair of scissors-big deal). The website pics are 100% accurate and there is nothing misleading. Loved the 2 stories, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and the washer/dryer. The view from the lanai and the sunsets were spectacular. There was a group at the next condo that would gather at sunset to all blow their conches-to say goodbye to sunset-that was really eerie but cool. Looking for turtles was fun. Watching Molokai at sunrise was breathtaking. Hearing the waves lapping 24/7 was soothing. No aC is not an issue-the tropical breezes and fans were better than aC. There's even a plumeria tree on the premises! I was so sad to leave and can't wait to return. Maui no ka oi and Nohonani 403 no ka oi...Mahalo nui loa to all concerned. Mark Twain got it right: "No alien land in all the world has any deep strong charm for me but that one, no other land could so longingly and so beseechingly haunt me, sleeping and waking, through half a lifetime, as that one has done Other things leave me, but it abides..."

Our favorite beach area on the island.

We have stayed at the Nohonani complex 3 times now and absolutley love this area. The complex is quiet and the small beach is great. I rated it with the 4 stars for the old Hawaiian feel. It's not the most up-to-date place you could choose, but it has all of the amenities you need. Unit 403 was larger than the ones we usually rent. It had 3 bedrooms. The views are magnificent from all bedrooms. The unit has had some upgrading and needs some more, but we will stay here again. The bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated, but they work just fine. The owners provide beach towels, boogie boards, coolers and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. Nice touch. There is always plenty of parking. We had 2 cars and had no problem. There is an ABC store with gas and a farmer's market within walking distance. There are also grocery stores and restaurants a few blocks away if you didn't want to drive to Lahaina(6 miles away) for supplies. Groceries are expensive in west Maui and we found the Times market down the street was pretty competetive with Safeway in Lahaina. We love the whale watching, dolphins, turtles and snorkeling right from our condo. You can also walk down the beach quite a ways during low tide. Very nice walk. All in all...a great place to stay.

—Eileen (05/10/2010)

Manager response:

Aloha Eileen, We are so pleased that you enjoyed our home in Maui. We recently purchased it (last June) and have been making improvements to it ever since. We are very excited to start renovating the kitchen and baths. We bought the property for the spectacular views and it's large size. Thank you for your review and we hope you will visit Maui again soon! Aloha, Erin, Owner, Nohonani Condos & Resort, Condo 403

very pleasent, we enjoyed the condo

We liked the condo very much. We were right on top of the beach snd loved seeing the turtles eating at night and the many whales out in the water while sitting on our balacony. The only thing we would change is having a few more pot and pans in the kitchen. There was only a large frying pan and no sauce pans. If you love hearing the surf and enjoy sitting on a balconcy viewing the ocean, this is a great place to be, we would certainly come back again and stay at condo 403.

A great place to stay and relax!

Our family stayed at Unit #403, for 11 days in April. We really enjoyed the condo, very comfortable, the breeze of the ocean was refreshing and cool during the hot periods of the day. A beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony on which we could see the whales and turtles. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids, as was the ocean. It is one of the few condo complexes in the area that has it's own beach- which is a great! Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable visit for our entire family, and we would most definitely return to the condo, and recommend it to those who view these reviews. I know that some reviews commented on the need to upgrade the condo, or move the smoke alarm out of the kitchen, so it doesn't go off each time you make toast or cook, but hey- your in beautful Maui, in a comfortable condo, with great ocean views, warm water, a pool , private beach, ect, ect. You can't get much better!

  beautiful ocean view

The view was unbeatable. So close to the water, and the flood light off the roof made even the night view fantastic. The living room has been updated furniture and floors, beautiful. The bathrooms need new grout, sinks and tubs. The lack of AC was an issue when its was really humid. Overall we had a great time in 403b! The Nurses

  Unit 403 Nohonani

We visited with elderly Mom and two toddlers (yep, we're nuts!). Perfect setting for all. The on call support person was very responsive to our one need. The owner had alreay made funishings upgrades that were very nice, beds were comfortable etc. The carpet guys were arriving as we left so you will enjoy new flooring in 2010! I'll add this comment for those who will find it an issue: 1) the loft bedrooms are not private, they adjoin via an open vaulted ceiling. So, if you are renting this unit with other couples or want privacy for a romp, forget it. However, if you need to listen for the little ones, or otherwise don't care, this is perfect! Mom stayed down stairs and that area is really like a separate suite. The shoji screens close but I don't think they're sound barriers. Again, the rompers may want other accomdations. 2) My elderly mother can't get in and out of a tub bath/shower combo and that's what you've got here. So, consider this not ADA functional. All that aside, this is one of the best units I've ever stayed in, anywhere, and we travel a lot! Have stayed in timeshares, luxury hotels and private condo's like this. Unless you require the Westin or the like, you'll be pleased with this sweet unit in a perfect location.

  Wonderful stay at Nohonani 403!

We spent our vacation on Maui at the Nohonani, unit #403, from December 15-31 2009. There were 6 of us; my husband and I, and our 4 children, ages 20, 13, 10 and 9 years old. We were hoping for a good sized condo so that we would have some elbow room, and we were not disappointed! We also wanted a decent kitchen, a washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms, (20, 13 and 10 year olds are girls!) and an ocean view. Unit 403 was made for us! Perfect in every way possible! A day after we arrived, while watching sea turtles swimming and whales breaching in the ocean right outside our window, we were scheming up ways to come back again...SOON! (Oh, and if the owners are reading this...CONTACT US IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SELL!!! We'd buy the condo in a split second!) The condo was spacious, and while it wasn't as clean as a high priced hotel with daily maid service might be, it was clean enough. It felt like home, very cozy and practical! The only negative thing we can think of, and it isn't very negative at all, was the lack of knives! The only regrets we have are not being able to stay FOREVER, and also that we didn't have time to write in the guestbook about what a wonderful stay we had. I highly recommend 403!

Nice Condo with new furniture. Carpet was a little dirty and the kitchen small, but the view and seeing all the Turtles from the balcony was just great. We were expecting to have a double bed instead of the twin beds in the third bedroom, but it still worked out.

  Beautiful Condo, Beautiful place

Our family was fortunate enough to book 8 nights at Nahonani Condos and Resort Condo 403. It was a beautiful 3 bedroom condo on the fourth and fifth floor, overlooking a gorgeous beach. The bedrooms were large and confortable, the facility was clean and well equipped, and the beach was fabulous. We sat on the patio and watched sea turtles and rays feeding on the reef. We snorkeled right off the condo beach and saw beautiful fish and coral. The kids had a wonderful time swimming in the pool. It was a great week on Maui!

3 Generation Vacation fit just great into our Nohonani Condo # 4

This was our first visit to the condos at Nohonani and we had 7 people total covering 3 generations of my family. So to say the least, I was concerned how the condo would work with all of us. But it was clean and ready to go when we arrived. There was a very nice wrapped gift basket on the table and instructions for everything. We had 3 bedrooms, two full baths and even washer/dryer setup. All worked great. We really enjoyed the view out over the beach and the reefs. We enjoyed watching the turtles swimming around the bedach and reefs at night from our lanai. We could just go down 4 floors to the ground level and boom, on the beach and swimming with the fishes. :) It was in a good location that was close to shopping plus wonderful other beaches and parks. We really had a great time and highly recommend it to other families that want to be close to everything. (One great feature was that the condo was two stories inside the main door. Inside stairs to the main bedroom, 2nd bedroom and w/d. It kept the teenage girls noise downstairs at night. Peaceful and everyone happy).

—Rob-Doc (08/30/2009)

Great Location but needs a little updating

With just a little bit of TLC, this place could be awesome! It was roomy enough for all 6 of us and had a great view off the lanai of the ocean. The pool was a good size and was kept clean. Sea Turtles were just 10' off the shore every afternoon. Really cool! The place itself could use some new carpet and a bit of updating but the cupboards were stocked with dishes, nice fluffy towels were rolled up on the beds waiting for us along with a very nice gift basket upon our arrival. I may go back again but I may look for another more updated condo for my next visit.

  The view was fantastic !!!

Our experience with Chuck at Aloha Condo's was excellent. He answered all our questions promptly. The condo was nice, open and airy. There was a fantastic breeze blowing through most all day. The location was great, just a short drive to most stores, restaurants and walking distance to the farmers market. The condo was older and we were made aware of that fact, however it required some basic upgrades. WARNING !!! The carpet needs to be replaced desperately !!! Professional cleaning won't even save it. I felt uncomfortable walking around in bare feet. The kitchen smoke alarm went off every time I cooked anything including toast in the toaster. That was loud and annoying. The bathroom fan was very very dirty. The ceiling fan blades were filthy. Positives -- The view, and the sound of the waves crashing at night was extremely relaxing. Watching the sea turtles in front of the condo was awesome. Bottom line, if you can live with some dirt, dust and the thought of god knows what living in the carpet, ...then go for it, but I warn you .. don't spend your $$ until this 20 year old carpet is replaced!! I hope the owner will consider making that improvement at least. If not, then I have to be honest, I would recommend this home solely for the view and beachfront location, This place isn't for someone who is expecting luxury accommodations.

Marvelous Stay at Nohonani Condos near Kaanapali, Maui

We had the best possible week in our Nohonani condo in Maui. Our unit (#403) was on the top floor and was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2-story condo. As soon as we walked in, we knew this would be a special week for us. Our lanai overlooked the small beach, and we were greeted with a wonderful and thoughtful gift basket containing a tote bag, chocolates, cookies, and assorted snacks. My wife was quite impressed by the near new, high quality towels. I think the most impressive parts of this place was the awesome view of Molokai and Lanai while relaxing with a book and some fresh fruit at our table on the lanai; and the chance to watch huge sea turtles most evenings from our lanai, as they would come within 10 feet of the sand. This time my wife and I came with our 21 & 18 year old daughters, but on our next visit to Maui and the Nohonani #403, we will come alone. Even though we won't need the other 2 bedrooms, it will be well worth it to us to stay at this truly memorable location. My wife and I are ready to go back there tomorrow (if only we could). My deepest thanks go out to everyone at Aloha Condos for making our week in Maui such a wonderful experience.

  Comfortable condo with great view

The condo was very comfortable for the 6 adults in our group. It is roomy and the beds were comfortable. The view is spectacular. The rental process was smooth and easy. This is an older complex and while the unit was comfortable and had everything we needed it could use a little updating (i.e. shower heads and maybe the carpet replaced with tile). But would not hesitate to rent this property again. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  Relaxing

We stayed at Nohonani 403 for ten days during August 2008 and found out pretty quickly that we had found a fantastic Hawaiian hideaway. We were four adult friends traveling together and found the layout just perfect, especially the two bathrooms. The condo is so centrally located that it was just a short walk to several strip shopping centres where everything you needed was available. Even an ABC shop!!The condo had everything provide to enhance your stay, down to snorkle gear, binoculars to watch the turtles and music CDs to complete the mood. Most importantly, you were right on the beach with uninterrupted views from the balcony and bedrooms. We hardly used the dining room, instead opting for the balcony to take our meals and watch the turtles and sunsets. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. The owners are just great. Friendly and caring, attending to a few small problems we had quickly and professionally. So at no time were we inconvenienced. Even able to recommend to us the best places to visit, when we weren't on the beach or shopping that is. Local knowledge is the best recommendation. We are planning our next trip to Hawaii in 2010 and will definitely be returning to Nohonani 403. Thanks for a terrific and memorable holiday. A little piece of Hawaiian Heaven.

  Paradise Dream come to life

I had my 2nd stay in this unit in 10/08. I LOVE IT! The setting couldnt be better as the unit sits beach side. I fell asleep every night listening to the waves. The outside ammenities are wonderful with beach side pool, plenty of lounge chairs, flowering grounds. Nice BBQ area also, but we did have some small, many legged "visitors" during our evening BBQ that we didnt expect! Be careful using this area at night. Interior is clean and has a ton of room, is well appointed with tables, couch, TV, CD player, DVD, etc. All bedrooms are on the ocean side of the unit. This is an end unit so there is a wonderful breaze on the lanai. View of neighboring islands is fantastic. Unit is dated, however, and needs some serious updating in the bathrooms, flooring, etc. Unit supplied plenty of towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler. I would highly recommend this unit!

Great Condo, Perfect Location & Cool Breezes

We spent an amazing week at the Nohonani Condos and Resort Condo 403. This is the first time that we stayed at this property -- and it was perfect. The beach was amazing and the location was great. Condo was in order when we arrived, it's large size afforded all of our family to stay and the cost per night was affordable. Having a kitchen allowed us to enjoy more family time and less restaurant wait time. Complex had BBQ's on-site so that provided alternatives to being cooped up inside. Also the location of Unit 403 in the complex provided cooling cross breezes throughout the day. We'd definitely recommend this condo! Enjoy.

  Looooved it!!!!

We only stayed for 2 nights,..but we had such a great time! The condo had everything we needed to kick back and enjoy ourselves! The bedrooms were all very comfortable, and the kitchen was well suited. So much better than renting a motel room! We would love to rent again!

  Very nice!

We spent 7 wonderful days at this condo and loved every minute of it. The modest balcony was perfect for our families to watch the whales and the turtles. We loved having the option of swimming in the pool or just jumping in the ocean. There's a great Farmer's Market just down the street too! We would definitely rent this condo again.

  Great Vacation

We stayed in Room 403 with our two children age 6 and 9, and my in-laws. There was plenty of space for 6 people, the lanai was perfect especially at sunset, you can also see the turtles feed about 50 yards away. The bbg pit was a great addition, it's very practical. The condo is walking distance to the local market, great people and ice cream, not to mention the farmers mkt

  Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was kid friendly and not too fancy so we could relax and not worry about breaking anything. We had four teens and they are still talking about wanting to return. We could walk down to the beach and swim with the huge turtles as well as snorkle or just lay in the sun. We all hope to return someday. Wayne and Sandy D.

  Great Location

The location was perfect for us. Great views from the balcony; nice, quiet neighborhood. Some good local shopping: farmers market, grocery, fish store. Easy access. The only down side is that the unit was beginning to show it's age. It was looking a little shabby and due for a make over.

  Nohonani Condos 403

My husband and I stayed here with his parents for an extended week in October 2008. The condo was spacious, clean, and in good condition. The beds were comfortable; towels and linens plentiful. The kitchen is on the small side, but, when you are on vacation, who is going to spend time in there anyway? The elevator was a bit slow, but it worked, thank goodness. The view from the lanai was beautiful. It was fun to sit there in the early evening and watch the turtles as they came close to shore. The beach in front of the condo is a bit short for strolling, but, there are plenty of beaches near by. We plan to stay here our next trip to Maui, which is soon, I hope!

  On the Whale Trail

This is the second time that we have stayed in this unit and the third time at Nohonani. The location is perfect for whale watching and we had an added treat on this trip of a close encounter with turtles on the rocks just off the beach. The unit is large and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. It's top floor corner location offers a great view of the whales as well as up and down the coast. We will be back. Thanks.
