Condo 211

Studio 1-Bath Beach View Condo - Sleeps 2

Our stay in condo 211 was amazing!

The owners take great pride in their condo and it shows. We truly had all the comforts of home right there, the kitchen and bath was beautifully done. Kitchen had a built in dishwasher, did not expect that and the bed was so comfortable, slept great everynight. Leland, the on site manager really made us feel welcome there, he would make a point to smile and wave everytime he saw us. We will make this our place to stay when we come to Maui for now on!

  Fabulous location

We really enjoyed our New Years stay in unit 211. It was in a wonderful location, right on the beach, and walking distance to some very nice restaurants. The unit is beautiful, clean, and updated. You can watch the sunset from the lanai. Our shower drain became clogged, but the maintenance people took care of it as soon as we called for help. The beach in Napili Bay is beautiful, we loved it and would go back any time.

  Lovely place and lovely beach

Th Condo was perfect. Small but with everything anyone would need. Great beach view, and easy access steps away. Nice people and nice group facilities: BBQ and laundry. I'd definitely stay I this condo again.

  Just short of great

Despite the clouds that can often cover this end of the island (and which did for my first three days), I still prefer Napili Bay to other areas on Maui. I especially love the well-kept units at the Napili Bay Resort for their proximity to the beach and because the complex is small. The only reason this review isn't getting five stars is because of the two screaming nonstop crying brats that were staying directly below me. This being a woodframe building means that sound carries and if you're on the bottom level, or, if you have noisy neighbours like I did, it can really ruin a great holiday. Or at least reduce great to good. Thankfully I've stayed here before and knew to take ear plugs.

Relax, recharge, reconnect and enjoy a tsunami!!

Married on Maui 10 years ago and decided to return for our anniversay. This trip we wanted to relax and enjoy the beach and each other. We could not have stayed at a better location. The condo is as nice as any we saw in the complex. It is as advertised. It was very quiet and romantic. The view is amazing and more private than directly on the beach front. Napili bay is beautiful and slow paced. We did not cook in the condo but it had everything you would need. We woke every morning with the birds singing, made coffee and walked directly to the beach and watched the turtles on the rocks and the sun rise. Then breakfast at the Gazebo and the rest of the day on the beach and snorkeling with the turtles until sunset. There were many nice places to dine and we did not find a bad one. The mai tai at Merriman's point bar is amazing as is the view at sunset. Easy drive to Lahina for shopping, and dinning etc..We had the opportunity to survive a tsunami while on Maui! It turned out to be very small and uneventful but we spent most of one night sitting outside the west Maui airport with several thousand other people that were caught on the highway when the warning was issued. Kudos to Maui law enforcement and emergency services. They were very impressive. Great condo, great beach, romantic. We are already planning our return trip to Maui and can't wait to stay at Napili Bay 211 again.

  Gotta do this again!

The room was all that was advertised and much more. Perfect location with an outstanding view of the beach. The kitchen was very nicely appointed and contained everything one could possibly need. Having tropical birds coming by and landing on the deck every morning and evening was a nice touch.

  Blissful

I can't say enough about our experience in this condo. It is obvious the owners love their home and have created a beautiful space for others to enjoy. I loved the renos. The appliances are all high end and their kitchen was loaded with everything we needed. We enjoyed hours of delight watching the birds and seeing he waves crash on the shore from their lovely and oh so comfortable Lanai. The view is inspiring--a serene and quiet setting. The resort itself is quiet and extremely well kept. The ease from your home (for that's what it feels like) to the gorgeous Napili Bay beach is wonderful. And nearby, also Kapalua Bay and more breathtaking beaches and sights. We didn't want to leave after two solid weeks. Thanks to the owners and we'll be back!! Two things to work on: no tea pot and the sheets could be much softer. The bed itself was very comfortable.

  Idyllic Napili Bay

We enjoyed five wonderful, restful days at Napili Bay for our 25th anniversary. Everything was as described; no need to contact anyone for assistance. The condo interior is lovely, comfortable, and functional. We enjoyed the lanai for our own breakfast and sunset views, listening to the peaceful sound of the surf. Early morning Napili Bay was essentially private for walking and swimming, same in the evening when the lights shimmer on the waves. It's a favored destination in the daytime, but even so was pleasant the day we put out chairs and umbrella and spent many quiet hours between surf and book. A pleasant 20-minute walk took us to Honolua Store for inexpensive meals and amazing views over Kapalua; near the store is the exceptional Sunday morning Kapulani church at the golf cart barn, overlooking the Pga-event course. We would have been happier without the rowdy neighbors late one night; the somewhat-shabby stairs and outer corridor carpet was completely overshadowed by the beatifully-kept grounds and excellent condo interior remodel. We loved exploring along the secluded beaches and fascinatng 'blow-hole' up north, and down to the quaint shops and giant banyan tree of Lahaina. Highly recommended.

  A little piece of paradise

Napili Bay 211 was great. Location is amazing. This was our first time not in an oceanfront condo and you could still hear the water at night, just lovely. The condo has recently been remodeled and the appointments are great, including an excellent shower. A bigger cooler would have been nice, thankfully my parents were in 209 which had a great cooler. Otherwise, everything we needed, towels, chairs, boards, etc.

  Wonderful Remodel!

Loved all the beautiful work that added good functionality to a small space! Although aloha Condos clearly states that the units are for two people, some other rental units not affiliated with aloha Condos do allow multiple people to occupy the units so it was not as quite as expected. Luckily that only occurred during the last couple of days of our stay - when both the unit to the right and one below us got very noisy with multiple couples and children, so it was something of a letdown for us.

—khunwick (05/18/2011)

Manager response:

Aloha to our guest, As far as the few units that allow 3 or 4 , that is up to them. They are out side of Aloha Condos. If it gets extra noisy from them we have an on-sight resident manager that would take care of any problems like that. Mahalo J. Owner, condo 211

  Another Great Stay at 211

This is my second stay at unit 211 and it does not disapoint! From the moment you walk in the studio and hear the ocean waves and smell the breeze it is paradise. My wife and i love the updated kitchen and ate many breakfasts and dinners out on the beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. The beach is terrific and not as busy or packed as some of the other "popular" beaches. The only reason I do not give a complete 5 stars on comfort is the bed is a little firm for my spouse and myself, but that would not prevent me from booking again! Great vacation!

Great stay in a homey condo right at the beach

We loved our condo #211. Well equipped and maintained, felt homey and we loved to sit out on the balcony to watch sunset. The condo is beachview which suited us well. Beachfront would have been too noisy during the day. Just a few steps to the beach...awesome. Loved the west coast. Beautiful Napili beach to swim, snorkel, walk and have sundowners. Would definitley come back there.

  Our Favorite Spot in Maui

We have stayed at Napili Bay Resort twice. Once in 2004 in unit 212 and again in 2010 in unit 211. What a great place to stay. We absolutely love it there. The beach is perfect and somewhat private. Snorkeling at this beach is ok and there are many sea turtles about especially near 4-5 PM. This is also a great spot close to Honolu'a Bay (it is about a 10 minute drive away) which I think is the best snorkeling in Maui (Personally we like it there better than the Molokini Crater). In particular, unit 211 has been recently re-done and everything looked great. The kitchen is well stocked with all pots and pans and other utensils needed for cooking and there is a convenient grocery store just around the corner. There is a great view of the ocean from the patio and since it isn't sitting directly over the beach, it stays a bit more quiet in this unit (which we really enjoyed). We'll likely be back again in a few more years!

This is a beautifully appointed condo, positioned with an ocean

This is a wonderful condo on Napili Bay. This bay has about six 2 story condos, is relativley private, with a nice mix of locals. There are two restaurants on either end; The Gazebo and The Sunset House, which are very good. This condo has been remodled 5 years ago, but is still in great shape as can be seen by the pictures. I have only 2 small complaints. They advertise shampoo/conditioner, which was not in the condo. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is lacking. There is uplighting and with a small change to downlighting would make a huge difference. While we there, the ceiling fan in the downstairs unit, 111, had a problem causing a huge buzzing noise and vibration (in our bathroom). I talked to the renters and were very agreeable to making sure it was turned off when they weren't using it. I'm sure that is something that will be addressed with 111's owner and will be taken care of. We had very nice chairs for the beach, a boogy board, fins, a mask (the rubber was worn out) and an umbrella. Most of these things were left by others. The whole complex is very well taken care of and a great place for the laid back life style and a real taste of Maui!

A great stay near the beach...and Snorkel Bob's!

We had a great stay in this lovely beach-side condo. Though not directly facing the beach, we had a wonderful view of the beach from our deck. Each morning, while drinking fresh-brewed coffee, we watched whales cavort just offshore and in the evenings we watched sea turtles snacking on the coral. The beach was a great jog in the morning and snorkeling nearby was easy given that Snorkel Bob's shop is right up the street. Overall a very pleasant and affordable stay in Hawaii.

—DCNative (04/27/2010)

  For a quiet time.

We stayed for 28 days, and Chuck at Aloha Condos made our booking and stay a very easy undertaking. 211 was and is as shown on the website and has anything and everything we needed for an at home stay on the beach. The location reminded us of the Hawaii of years gone by when the palms were taller than the surrounding buildings and the glitz dosen't out shine the natural beauty of the island. Being able to be right on the beach, only steps away was the best........we personally have no negative comments about the place, but then again we're pretty low key...just like the place. If you want a real vacation away from what you leave at home, check in out. Kelly/Bob Galiano Island Canada

  Spectacular!

Our first visit to Hawaii was made enjoyable by the location of the resort and its various amenities. Resort Condo #211 is very warm and inviting. We found the view from the balcony quite beautiful. The only negative was that there was no management on site and all communication was done by phone, however, the response was quick.

We had a wonderful time and stayed in a great place

The condo was a great place to stay. Room #211 was equiped with every thing we needed, towels, cooking ware etc. The room has great kitchen and bath areas and was overall beautifully furnished. The view from the patio was wonderfull and we could here the ocean all night. The condo complex was well maintained and as in the past we found the grounds were great with a place to BBQ and a laundry room. We were very happy with the entire experience and a especially the great beach and beach access.

Delightful! Peaceful, down-to-earth, and 1 minute from the beac

The condo is everything we were hoping for: a one-minute walk to the beach, lovely view, quiet, down-to-earth casual atmosphere, fresh/clean inside with lots of modern amenities. While the building itself is older and not particularly cute or fancy on the outside (made to blend with it's environment?), the inside of the condo is cheerful and attractive. From what we could tell, this is one of the most nicely done remodels in the whole complex. We ended up being happy we went with this non-ocean front room because the sun didn't beat into the room all day, and it allowed for more privacy and quiet. Taking our meals out on the patio with the lovely view was one of our favorite things. There's even a communal outdoor grill and laundry facility for shared use. It takes about 60 seconds to walk down two short hallways and two short flights of steps to the beach. Napili Bay is a small, lovely beach and it was so relaxing to have our own place incredibly close to the water. While the beach is a little steep, making it challenging to walk along it at high tide, it's got good snorkeling. We found even more amazing snorkeling at Kapalua Bay which is just about a 5-minute drive away. We didn't go to either of the two restaurants on the beach, but it was nice to have the option (each within 5 or 10-minute walking distance). The nearest large grocery store is about a 6-minute drive a way in a little mall off the highway. The entire beach is super sunny with just about one spot of shade underneath a tree (right in front of the complex), but we always were able to sit there when we wanted to. We highly recommend this amazing condo and hope to return soon!

  Wonderful

We spent a week at this wonderful condo. It is just as it appears in the pictures online. Tile throughout the condo was great, beach was great. Although the condo is not right on the beach, it has a great beach view, and its nice and quiet. Location is perfect -- almost "end of the road" feel being that there is not much past Kapalua. Traffic is quite a bit lighter than just down the road at Lahaina. Local shopping and restaurants are good -- not much need at all to go farther than Kapalua. From the glimpse I had of some of the other units in the complex, unit 211 is one of the better remodeled options. We'll definitely be back again!

In Need of Rest? Apply at #211!

This was our first time to the islands, and were looking for a place to just plain ol' relax and rest. After LOTS of online research, we realized that a quiet place away from the hustle of tourist activity (but close enough to tourist activity as an option), a swimmable beach with nearby snorkeling and a nice restaraunt or two nearby was our goal. Our stay at Condo #211 was the perfect fit! The access is literally on the beach, and we were able to both swim and snorkel within steps of our unit. Since we are not sun people per se, the large umbrella tree in front of the condo served us well every day, providing shade and a front row seat to the water. The building is older, but the owner has done a nice job remodeling this unit. It does indeed look just like the camera views on the website. Our view was perfect and we didn't regret at all not having a beachfront room. (Didn't regret not having a pool either!). We reccomend you stop at Costco after picking up your rental car upon arrival if you don't plan on eating out every day. Whenever we didn't feel like cooking, we walked a short walk down the beach to the Sea Island restaraunt (directly on the beach with amazing water views) and ate 1/2 price appetizers (pupas) for dinner during the happy hour. Their breakfasts were also excellent and more reasonably priced than the much touted Gazebo Restaraunt. I am writing this review becasue I read so many reviews from people who took the time to share their experiences, and their helpful hints took away my first time trepidation in going to Maui and staying at a lesser known place (as well as booking from the internet). The instructions provided by Chuck for our check in were excellent and we had no trouble whatsover. We definitely reccomend Unit #211 if you aren't stuck on a high end, high priced room and are looking for a family type atmosphere that is friendly, comfortable, relaxing but within arm's reach of any tourist fun Maui offers...

  Fabulous beach-side setting

We had a five-night stay in this condo. The setting was superb - just a few steps away from a fantastic beach. The condo unit was extremely clean and well-appointed - absolutely no complaints at all. Wonderful to be able to spot the turtles from the balcony, and to then wade out and snorkle with them. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a peaceful, romantic get-away, perfectly located for sunsets and turtle-watching.

  Great Condo - Excellent Value

We stayed at the condo for 9 nights in December and had a wonderful time. The condo looks old from the outside but has been completely renovated. The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and nice cabinets. The bathroom is also re-done and the view is beautiful if you sit on the left side of the balcony. The only negative is that there is not a sofa or love seat so you have to sit by yourself but overall the condo is wonderful. The place has a prime location on napili bay and the snorkeling is great. You are also walking distance to some great places to eat that are actually affordable. We would recommend this condo and would consider going back if we venture back out to Hawaii.

  Anniversary retreat!!!

We had a wonderful time. It was my husband and I 25th wedding anniversary. We hope to visit again soon. We have stayed in resorts such as marriott but this felt more like home. We went to costco and bought all we needed and only when out to dinner once or twice. It was the best time we spent relaxing by the beach. The condo came equipped with everything we needed including a wonderful barbeque out in the patio. We definitely recommend this house to everyone. This is the way to go!!   Relaxation

We have stayed in Unit 211 two times, and will do so again. Both were wonderful. While the unit does not face the ocean directly, there is a view, and no beach noise. The unit is clean and tidy. There are ample utensils and dishes. Furnishings and decorations are in very good taste. The bed is very comfortable. Enough beach toys to satisfy a couple of old folks. The staff (of one, I think) is very friendly and remembered us. Restaurants at each end of the beach are very nice. The "Country Store" met most of our immediate needs. Best of all - it is quiet. Many thanks to the owners for making the property available.

  #211 is great!

Condo 211 was fantastic for our stay in Napili. Clean and comfortable, just as the pictures on the website show it. The location is fantastic -- Napili beach is beautiful and never overly crowded, family friendly (lots of little kids) but not chaotic. The condo has everything you'd need to cook big meals. Bathroom very clean. Napili is an ideal location, too, because you are close to Kapalua and Kahana and only a (pretty) 20 minute drive to Lahaina. We'd definitely stay here again!

—mln (04/12/2009)

  Everything we needed

Because of the positive reviews on tripadvisor's website, we booked Napili Bay Condos, unit 211. We didn't spend much daylight time in the condo, but enjoyed the view and amenities when we did. We were a stairwell away from a gorgeous beach, a 5 minute walk down the beach from the best breakfast on the island (try The Gazebo's banana or white chocolate chip pancakes while you watch sea turtles and whales in the water), and just a short drive from Lahaina. We were also close to the golf course, the famous Nakalele blowhole, the beautiful North Shore scenery, shopping, entertainment, etc. The room was so comfy, the bathroom and kitchen recently remodeled and beautiful. We had cable for the nights before we fell asleep, and enjoyed the airy screened windows and door to our balcony. We weren't used to the loud surf and did have trouble sleeping some nights, but we were in Maui, so we didn't care. We plan on booking the same condo someday when we get to return to the island.

  The Perfect Place!

The Napili Bay condos were awesome! We stayed in unit 211 for 5 nights on our honeymoon (July 8 - 13) and it was the highlight of our time in Hawaii. We contacted Aloha Condos and the entire process went off without a hitch. The pictures on the website are 100% accurate (down to the rolled green towels you'll find waiting on the bed). The condo is gorgeous and clean. There are tons of ceiling fans which kept the air moving and the condo comfortable. Having access to the washers/dryers was clutch and we had no trouble finding a time when they were available. The condo is stocked with helpful items: boogie board, beach chairs, beach mats, towels, umbrella, etc. The kitchen was also stocked with everything we needed to make a few easy meals. (Note about groceries and gas - everyone warned us about how much it would cost in Hawaii. But coming from the Boston area there was only a slight price increase for both!) The views from the condo lanai are terrific. Most places which advertise ocean view have a sliver of ocean if you hang off the lanai - not here. The view is fabulous and we had breakfast everyday soaking in the view. We loved the Napili Bay area. The beach is fun and the water is great. You can jump right in and see fish in the clear water. It is a short drive to Lahaina but there are great restaurants close by as well! We 100% recommend unit 211! We're already dreaming of a return trip!!

  Great beach location

Me and my wife stayed at this wonderful # 211 condo between May 6th and 9th. I think Napili location has got to be the best in the area, close enough to Lahaina for dinner and a stroll, with great access to all West Maui beaches and not in a highly populated resort area. The condo albeit small is beautifully furnished, new bathroom and kitchen and is still very confortable. The owners really want their place taken good care so if you are kind of careless you may feel slightly annoyed by the reminder signs. Anyway, they add to make you find a very clean and tidy place. When choosing a condo in this complex please make sure that it has been recently updated as is the case with 211. I would also recommend this appartment because of its beautiful side view (of the sea, sunset and beach) without having to pay beachfront prices. Chuck Buser from Aloha condos was great managing the reservation and payment. Deanne who manages the property was also very helpful and nice.

  #211

We stayed in #211 at the Napili Bay Resort for two weeks and the condo, Resort and Napili Beach were fantastic as usual. The condo has been very nicely renovated and with this being our second stay in this unit it has shown very little wear and tear over the last couple years. Everything you could need are in this unit, including all sorts of beach gear. The beach is only a few steps from the unit and the views from the lanai are beautiful. A short walk from the resort is the Napili Bay General store which seems to have everything you need and very cold beer. A short walk away is the Seahouse restaurant at the Napili Kai resort, the food is excellent and prices reasonable, with outstanding views. This is our favourite area on Maui and would highly recommend the Napili Bay resort and unit 211.

  Quiet Hawaii

We really loved Napili Bay Resort. Was a little hard to find after a long flight late at night. But woke up our first morning to a full moon setting at sunrise, unbelievable. This particular unit is immaculate. Second floor, brand new inside. Great view from lanai. Nice vibe around the property overall. Beach was great, but we didn't spend much time there, preferred to wander around the island... but it was beautiful and you could be very happy sitting there all day, I promise. Only downsides to consider... if you want privacy, this is a typical Hawaii condo, which means no AC, open windows, and you can hear everything that all of your neighbors are saying or doing... and they can hear you. No pool here either, which was no big deal for us, as the ocean is amazing, but if you are looking for more of the traditional resort-y experience, this is not the place for you. Pay three times as much and stay at the Westin down the road. But if you want to stay at a clean, modern, and beautiful location right on the beach, and are looking for a great deal. This is it. Stop looking at that other stuff and just book it. Hear me?

  Fantastic condo

This was our second stay in unit #211 and our third visit to the Napili Bay resort through Aloha Condos. As usual the condo was perfect. This unit is very well maintained , the views are hard to beat and its only a few steps to the beach. There is a general store just a couple minutes walk from the condo and they have everything you forgot to buy at the supermarket...and cold beer, we also made use of the Seahouse restaurant at the Napili Kai, the food is very good there and the prices reasonable considering the location. We would not hesitate to stay at the Napili Bay reaort and unit #211 would be our first choice for sure.

  Awesome 12-day stay !!!

This well attended and clean unit (#211) was everything that we had hoped it to be. The location is perfect, with a nice ocean view, but with privacy not available on the direct ocean-front units. Napili Bay Beach has always been one of our favorite beaches on Maui. The room never got warm despite the 80 degree temps, thanks to the island breezes. We will definitely stay here again. what a location. not too close to the beach so as to be noisy/busy....just close enough to run back and forth for lunch, etc. and always had a place to park.
