Outstanding!

Unlike a recent reviewer for Condo #209 we found it perfect! It was extremely clean and comfortable. The shower worked perfect for us. It was just a matter of adjusting two knobs to get the temperature set. We just turned on the hot valve first and then turned on the cold valve to get it right. No problem whatsoever! The sofa was NOT old and saggy as a previous reviewer noted. It seemed fairly new and was very comfortable for two people. We enjoyed the sound of the surf. This is one of the main reasons to stay in this condo. It is ocean front and has fantastic views. It almost seemed unreal. We spent a great amount of time sitting on the balcony. I should mention the bed was comfy as well. One thing we especially noted was the kitchen accessories. This condo probably had the best equipped kitchen we have seen in recent years. It had everything needed and all of the pots, pans, etc. seemed very new. During our stay there was no noise from people partying on the beach at night. After sun down all one could hear was the ocean and it lulled us to sleep every night. Bottom line.....great condo and the owners are very responsive to any questions etc. We could not have been any happier with our choice of #209! less

Everything that you need

Very impressed with the cleanliness and the thoughtfulness of having all the living supplies (dish soap and paper products) that you need for you time at the condo.

Great location, but badly in need of remodel

This was our first time to Hawaii, and friends recommended this area of Maui for vacation. The area is great with easy access to Lahaina, Maalea and other tourist hot spots. The beach is right outside the back door and sitting on the lanai was great for watching the ocean, people, Molokai, snorkelers, etc. Be advised, it is VERY LOUD in this condo due to the surf sound below and rocks nearby. It appears the drop off in the sand on this end of Napili Bay is quite steep, and coupled with the rocks nearby every wave crashes onto the shore. My husband and I literally couldn't hear each other speaking in the condo (I have perfect hearing, as recently tested). This is not soothing waves on the beach sound, this is full on "I'm in the middle of a hurricane" type sound. Luckily I had earplugs so I could sleep at night. The king sized bed was comfortable, which helped because the loveseat was extremely uncomfortable due to being old and saggy (no support). We are the kind of travelers that love to explore and see the are, but we also spend a fair amount of time in our rental, so having comfortable seating is a must. The condo had everything we needed to cook simple meals and the kitchen functioned. I did try to pull out the lower drawer on the stove to find a pan and the door fell off, which I couldn't replace. The shower was a disaster. There was no way to take a normal shower, as the water was freezing cold alternating with blazing hot. We became adept at jumping back and forth (not safe) to get clean. When I texted the property manager about it, the owner's response was "its better in the afternoon." This was not true, and they obviously know the shower doesn't work. FIX IT!!!! This condo definitely needs some maintenance and TLC. I had booked 9 nights and regretted staying that long. There is no servicing of the room, and that is too long to go without changing sheets and replacing towels. For such a long stay, a midweek service would have been nice, IMHO. For the price of this condo (yes, I know everything is expensive in Hawaii) keep looking and find a better place to stay. less

Owner/Manager Response

Mahalo for the review. We're so glad you enjoyed the location of the beach right outside the back door and the lanai for watching the ocean. Occasionally the waves can get pretty big, especially in the winter months. If you close the louvers back, it helps buffer the noise. We are sorry to hear the shower temp was a problem even after explaining that it takes some finesse of both the hot and cold knobs to get the desired balance. Due to the pandemic, our housekeepers no longer provide mid-stay cleans, however, we would have been happy to schedule a mid-stay linen/towel exchange had we known you would like one. Our condo is popular because of the numerous facts you mentioned in your review. As such, we realize the need to keep the unit updated to give our guests the best experience possible. We are planning a full renovation in the not too distant future and hope you will give us another try. Aloha, Amy

Beautiful Views

Pros: This was our third stay at Napili Bay Condos and the location is beautiful. It is also close to several restaurants and a grocery store. Unit 209 placed us closer to rocks and large surf than previous stays, which provided plenty of surf noise to lull us to sleep. The views of sea turtles, rainbows, sunsets, and occasional Molokai lightning storms provided plenty of visual entertainment. The condo was clean, comfortable and well stocked with all of the dishes, glassware and utensils needed for preparing meals and grilling on the nice Weber grills located in the common area. Cons: There is no A/C, there were no condiments supplied (other than salt and pepper), and there was only one sheet of aluminum foil left on the roll provided. A taller table and chair set on the lanai would have been nice. A cooler, two boogie boards, beach chairs and towels were provided, but no snorkeling gear was available. Be aware that from sunrise to sunset, kids (locals and those staying at nearby resorts) begin loud yelling, screaming, and squealing with every incoming wave directly below the windows. less

I need a do over

I stayed at Napili Bay Condos from July 27 to August 3. I have nothing bad to say about unit 209. It is, by far, the sweetest view, most beautiful location of all time. I am not sure how many times I have stayed here, but many. Not just in 209, but several others, as well. I always prefer 209. Now, the cons. For the first 4 nights, a group decided to party on the beach, right below my lanai, until midnight. They were drinking and getting loud, with no regard for folks right there in the condo. I believe it was a group of locals. Not sure if any permanent residence of the condos were participating. Not causing trouble, just having fun, but very loud. I thought there were some rules about drinking alcohol on the beach. After my own adventures of the day, I would return to the condo at around 9. That is just about the time the party on the beach began. They were so loud, even the sound of the waves were drowned out. So, I got some sleep after midnight. I remember the days when I would travel to this condo for a little R&R. Well, the secret is out about Napili Bay. Very crowded, which is cool actually. Obviously, people love this beach as much as I do. I do not believe the condos followed the 2 persons per room rule, as there were lots of people with kids. I don't care about that, but there was not a lot of peace and quiet on the trip. I appreciate that it is summer, and families do come to Maui. So, I am not complaining, because the beauty of this place is still remarkable, but if you are looking for a nice quiet get away, this is not it right now. Again, the view from the unit is unmatched. less

Owner/Manager Response

Aloha Jeffrey, Mahalo for the review. We're glad to hear you prefer unit 209 of all the units at Napili Bay! We also think it has the best view!! We're sorry to hear that folks on the beach were inconsiderate and continued on after quiet hours began at 10pm. We hope you'll return for the "do over" this fall or winter when the beach tends to quiet down. With aloha, Amy

Another great stay!

Perfect location, 209 is an upstairs corner unit with the best full view and 209 is the closest condo to the water anywhere along Napili Beach. Turtles swim by every afternoon. Snorkeling is amazing. Sound of the gentile waves lapping up on the shore at bedtime just 20 feet away is wonderfully soothing. Well stocked condo. Very helpful owner. 208 and 207 are also very nice. less

— Brion, Stayed 06/16/2022

Great little condo

We like easy access to the beach, and the Napili Bay is about as close as you can get. Unit 209 is a bit dated - kitchen and bath could use an upgrade - but they are perfectly functional, and the location makes up for any shortcomings. Down the stairs and you're on the beach, and this corner unit has a great view! We also really enjoy the barbecue area and a great blender in the evenings, and there is always plenty of parking available (unlike some Napili Bay properties). A few small nitpicky wishes - that a beach umbrella was furnished along with the beach chairs, that the fridge still had all its interior parts (drawer, butter holder cover missing), and that the shower had more pressure and less extreme variation in temp during a 5 minute shower. But as I said, it all works well enough and we certainly hope to return. less

— Liisa, Stayed 07/16/2021

One of our favorites though the inside is getting dated

Napili Bay is our favorite condo complex due to its location, its beach access, and its well maintained amenities. This is a corner unit facing the ocean on the top floor and a coveted unit with the most amazing view. However, the interior is very used and outdated. less

— Bien, Stayed 05/26/2021

Owner/Manager Response

Aloha Bien! Mahalo for rebooking already for next year. We look forward to welcoming you back. The location and views are truly unmatched and we rarely have complaints about the interior. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and will take your observation into consideration.

great location

NO pool on site but its right on the beach! Great walks along the ocean going towards the Ritz, very beautiful area if you get out and explore. The Gazebo for breakfast is a must try. There is a grocery store down the street but I highly recommend a stop at Costco when you depart the airport. less

— John, Stayed 02/22/2021

Great Stay!

We loved our relaxing stay in unit 209 at the Napili Bay Resort. Perfect beach front, bay facing, corner unit for whale watching, sunsets, and relaxing on the lanai. The unit was clean and offered all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The owners were readily available to answer our questions during booking, making our reservation process easy. Looking forward to a return visit, hopefully sooner than later! less

The Aloha Spirit Lives!

This was our second time at the Aloha Condos; my wife and I were here at the recommendation of her cousin five years ago to celebrate our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. We enjoyed it so much the first time around that we were thrilled to discover that there were was an opening left for our favorite unit when we decided to come back for our 30th. Honestly, you can’t beat the value of this place - by FAR the best deal that we’ve found on Maui, and the beach at Napili Bay is amazing! What really impressed me this trip, though, was the friendliness of the other guests - in particular a large group that was also from the Midwest who helped orient me to the outdoor grill-scene. (BTW, those new Weber gas-barbecues are terrific!!) These folks were extremely welcoming and fun-loving — the embodiment of the “Aloha Spirit” that makes Hawaii, and Aloha Condos in particular, so special. Thanks for another great vacation at your fabulous resort!!! less

— Arthur, Stayed 03/01/2020

The Perfect Condo!!

It doesn’t get much batter at Napili Bay Condos than this unit!! Ocean front, second level, on the corner. We spent 12 days there through the Christmas holiday and it was simply heaven! We were walking distance to Merriman’s (which I prefer over Mama’s Fish House) and the lovely Gazebo. We’ve stayed at this complex several times but this time we splurged on this very special unit. Like someone else said, I hate to rave too much because it will increase demand. So shhhhh!! ;) less

Maui the Way you Image It

Beautiful place! Right on the beach! Napili bay is so picturesque, right out of a postcard. Kitchen had everything you could ever want. King size bed, was very comfortable. The surf can lull you to sleep. But if the surfs up, bring ear plugs! You are that close. Mahalo! less

— Colleen, Stayed 02/12/2020

Always a beautiful stay!

What a wonderful place to stay, fantastic views so close to the ocean. Its truly a piece of paradise.

— warren d, Stayed 02/05/2020

Maui Perfect

We wouldn't want to not be able to get this condo again as we would gladly book it again in the future. The location is ideal as you sit on the balcony to eat every meal and watch the whole beach and the sunset. The condo is well equipted with everything you need in the kitchen, beach chairs and floats, and comfortable bed. Sit on the beach, ride the waves, snorkle, or go for great walks, it's all available right from here. less

— David L, Stayed 02/04/2020

Love this place!

This is our 3 time staying here and absolutely love the condos at Napili Bay. The location is great and the views are amazing. Can't wait to come back again and again.

— Maria, Stayed 01/14/2020

Great Condo

First time in Hawaii and wanted a condo right on the beach. This one definitely fit the bill. This second floor unit , on the end, had great views and easy access to the beach. It was well stocked with appliances, plates, utensils, etc. The bed was comfortable and bath/shower worked well. It's also close to several restaurants, golf courses and of course coastal venues. We really enjoyed the week there and are making plans to return. less

— Stephen, Stayed 12/26/2019

Wonderful Spot in Maui

I choose Condo 209 due to everyone else's reviews. Yes, you can't go wrong with this place. It's a corner unit, with quick access to the wonderful beach. I'm not a fan of anyone on top of my unit due to proverbial noise from the upstairs unit. This room is on the 2nd floor (top) and there's no noise, other than the pounding surf. If the surf is too loud, just close the shutters at night. Just right a corner is where they start the Ironman and Xterra Games. Simply gorgeous location! The room is very nice and even has boogie boards to use. When we come out there again, this will be the place we want to come back to. Hands down, great location, unit and they even let us in earlier than planned, as the plane was an early one. less

— Pete, Stayed 11/13/2019

Another Wonderful Visit!

We have stayed at Napili Bay Resort in Condo 209 four times and counting, now. We love it! We enjoy the proximity to the ocean and the fabulous views from this corner unit! The amenities are just what we need: kitchen, coffee maker, soft fluffy towels and sheets, comfy king bed, ceiling & floor fans, lanai seating, beach chairs, towels and boogie boards! Chuck is a hospitable and responsive host, also. Mahalo! less

— Linda, Stayed 06/06/2019

Great value at a great location!

Great value at a great location! Our condo was clean, well appointed, roomy and comfortable. Best of all was the location right on the beach of Napili Bay. Waking every morning to the sound of the surf and the beauty of the bay was remarkable. We also enjoyed snorkeling in the bay and frequent sightings of sea turtles. The price for the location and the accommodations was very affordable, particularly considering the location near the Kapalua complex. We will definitely return. less

— Brian, Stayed 04/30/2019

It can't get much better

I stayed in unit 209 from 1/18/19 till 1/25/19. I have stayed in several units at this complex. I prefer 209. Not sure how many times I've stayed in that unit, 4 or 5 maybe. It is not a brand new place, but it is perfect for me. I am a single traveler, so perfect size. It is right on the beach, lanai basically hangs right over the sand, with the water 50 feet away. The place and grounds are super clean and comfortable, well maintained. The owners and managers just do a great job. This trip, the weather was perfect, lots of whales out int the channel, turtles all over the place. To be honest, if I could spend the rest of my days at this little condo, I would. What more can I say? I hate to give such good reviews, because the place becomes less available, more popular, the price goes up. It is still a great bargain on this beach. Thank you Chuck Buser for maintaining this great place. less

— Jeffrey, Stayed 01/30/2019

Perfect location on a beautiful beach

The location of the Napili Bay Resort is perfect for getting away from the crowds of Ka'anapali, and Lahaina, yet is just a short drive away when the urge hits to visit those areas. This studio condo is a corner unit on the top (second) floor of the complex and affords beautiful views of Napili Bay and beyond. You are just steps to the beach which can become crowded through the day but the nearness allows you to be lulled to sleep at night by the waves. The condo is well equipped for beach activities but a,little lacking in cooking condiments, so bring your own spices. The welcome tote bag with goodies was a very nice greeting upon our arrival. The Sea House and Gazebo restaurants are both within easy walking distance at either end of the beach for those times when eating in is not an option, although sunset meals on the lanai were amazing. Overall, a very nice condo with a perfect location on a lovely Maui bay. less

— Robert, Stayed 01/26/2019

Excellent unit 9(4.5 stars)

209 is an excellent unit with a perfect view of Napili Bay. The owners and local contact folks are awesome to work with and helped me extend my stay because I was having such a good time. The unit was also very clean and well equip. The reason this is a 4.5 and not a 5 star review is that the unit could be easily improved to 5 stars plus with some simple updates as some of the furnishings are dated and the bathroom (while although satisfactory) needs remodeled to be much more modern. If you are into the retro beach bungalow vibe then this place will be your jam. I am into modern design but that's just me. I would 100% stay there again and for the price I paid it was worth every penny. less

— Chad, Stayed 01/09/2019

Perfect in every way

Napili Bay is wonderful and this condo is awesome! Being a corner unit is terrific because it a little more private and has a great view of the entire bay. The unit decor is a little outdated but it has everything you need. We would definitely stay here again. less

— Michelle, Stayed 01/05/2019

best time ever!

The standing canvas bag full of treats was a great touch, thank you. If you want to hear the ocean fill your room, than this is the spot. Water access right out the condo is awesome! My new favorite Island getaway. ;-)

Vacation/Anniversary

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The room was very nice except the ceiling fans were not adjustable for speed. We had several evenings that were a little warm and muggy where the fans could have helped. We plan on visiting again in the near future. less

Another great stay on Napili Bay

We very much enjoyed our stay in unit #209 at Napili Bay. The location just cannot be beaten. A fabulous view from the lanai, steps to a gorgeous beach where we enjoyed snorkelling with turtles. Over the last 8 years we have stayed in four different units at Napili Bay. #209 was clean, well equipped and has a comfortable king sized bed. Upgrades to the bathroom & new kitchen counters would make it perfect. less

— NANCY, Stayed 12/01/2018

Amazing stay

Stayed in unit 209 for three nights. We were looking for a waterfront condo and this one did not disappoint. I loved that we had access to beach chairs, an ice chest, and boogie boards. Overall a great stay. We kept the windows open at night and fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I noticed that several of the other units were a bit more updated (granite and stainless) but this one is a little dated. Either way, I wouldn't trade the view from this unit. Very happy with our stay. less

— Henry, Stayed 09/09/2018

Perfect

My husband and I came to Napili Bay to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it was perfect! It was clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay including a welcome bag with snacks and coffee! There are 2 restaurants within walking distance (Merrimans has live music during happy hour daily) as well as 2 awesome beaches great for lounging, snorkeling and paddle boarding. Snorkel and SUP rentals are a 5 minutes walk from the condo and the people at Snorkle Bobs are great with helping book your island adventures and with recommendations . The local grocery store has a wonderful poke bar so we enjoyed fresh poke almost nightly. The unit was cool, the bed comfy and the waves were so nice to listen to at night....if there was one thing I would suggest it would be a counter height set on the patio for better viewing but we sat outside each morning and night and loved the scene. Thank you guys for provinding such a clean and comfortable place! less

— Kelly, Stayed 06/14/2018

Can't beat the location

I've been to this complex many times. You just cannot beat the location, right on the beach. 209 is my favorite room, because being on the corner, it allows a wide view of the area. The lanai is literally hanging right over the sand, and the view is really unbeatable. The rooms, in general are a little dated, no pool, no AC. But the place is very clean, and again, right on the beach. The portable fans in some of the rooms, are beyond belief helpful, in sucking in that cool outside air. Located away from the big resorts, but just a 10 minute drive to Kaanapali, or 15 to Lahaina. Great little grocery store in the neighborhood. I have nothing to complain about, when renting from Chuck. less

— Jeffrey, Stayed 04/22/2018

Great place to stay

It was so great to be right on the beach!!! We listened to the waves crash at night. We walked down the stairs right on to the beach. It was also great walking 600 feet to a restaurant that was great and had great views. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. less

— christine , Stayed 03/25/2018

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay in Condo 209. The Condo was well equipped with everything we needed. We ate breakfast in our room and everything we needed was there to enjoy our meals. The gift basket with bag was very much appreciated as I am reminded of our stay every time I take my bag to the store. This room is a corner room and was overlooking the beach. The beach is just right out the widow. We could sit on the lanai and watch the sun set each evening or, sit on the beach in the provided chairs. It was wonderful. Body boards were provided and used every night - I can't tell you how much fun my old man had with those boards. The waves were loud and since we weren't use to that sort of noise it took us a night or two to get used to it. i know if I ever return, this is the place we will stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing a little bit of paradise. less

Our favorite spot in the world!

Once again, we returned this year to beautiful Napili Bay Resort for a restful, delightful, inspiring two-week visit. Maui remains our favorite spot in the world. And Condo 209 is our favorite unit at the Resort. (We've been coming to the Napili Bay since he Resort opened in 1974!) Once again, we loved every minute of our stay here - mornings on the lanai watching the sunrises, swimming and snorkeling all day in Napili and Kapalua Bay next door, watching fiery sunsets with pina coladas and sleeping to the thunderous wash of the waves on the beach. It doesn't get better than this. And Condo 209 is perfectly appointed for everything you need. We'll be coming back every two years 'til we drop! Thank you to all the staff who looked after us so well. less

Napili Condo was GREAT and the view was even better!!!

My wife and I just got back from an awesome vacation stay at the Napili Bay resort. Our condo was very clean and had all the amenities a person staying on the beach could want (like a blender for delicious tropical drinks, plenty of towels and even a cooler!). Access to the beach and bay was bar-none! We could walk right down to the beach, have a great time in the bay then clean off at the condo entry area and then just a few short steps back to our room. And the view from our condo's deck was incredible! We spent many a sunset out there just "enjoying". Thank you Aloha Condo's! less

Vacation Oct 7 - 19th

This was our 3rd trip to Maui and second time at Napili Bay Resort. We love this older beach front resort and will probably never stay any where else. The rooms are clean and well equipped with everything you might need. Everything for the beach: cooler, chairs, boogie boards, even beach towels. We love walking out the door and through the gate onto this fun beach. We rarely left the resort as snorkeling is great and the turtles are always close. Also, if air condition is your thing, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend your vacation just steps from the beach, this is the place with the trade winds blowing and waves crashing. Also, we have met the friendliest people vacationing here, many who return annually. Chuck and Debi are very welcoming owner/hosts and will see to your every need. We will return next year. less

Beautiful View

This was our first visit to Maui. We chose Napili Bay Resort due to friends suggestion. The view was fantastic. Our room came equipped with 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and 2 boogie boards. We used them often. The kitchens well equipped with cooking and serving items. We used the great BBQ area as well as the ice machine and onsite laundry. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had plenty of towels as well. Room was very clean when we arrived. All visitors at the condo complex were friendly and seemed happy with their rooms as well. We will be back. less

We hope to come again.

We were so happy here. In our opinion, this is the best location possible, with views out to Lanai'i, the sunset and the sound of the ocean all night as we slept, and beach access just steps away. The furniture was attractive and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We arrived to find not only supplies like TP, coffee filters, soap, paper towels and so on that we would need already there for us but also a gift bag with thoughtful treats in it--even coffee! The owner is pleasant to deal with. A lanai, windows, and a large mirror fill the room with light and a feeling of space. We loved our stay and can only hope that we can return some day. less

Napili Bay 209 ! Napili Bay 209 ! Napili Bay 209 !

I reluctantly gave a four star score but air conditioning would have made it a five. The place was spotless, comfortable and located literally right over the beach. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary toasting it while a stunning sunset shimmered on Napili Bay and the waves lapped the shore a few feet from our second story balcony. We were made to feel right at home with the complimentary beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and abundant bath towels as well as the well appointed kitchen. There were no insects or visiting critters in the middle of the night... just the lulling sounds of the soft surf. The adjustable ceiling fan right over the bed felt like cool tropical breezes. Other than AC, I would hope for one improvement before our next visit... two tall bar stools and a matching table on the balcony to enhance the sight lines over the opaque bannister. Otherwise, it was definitely paradise. less

Always a great time staying here... I keep coming back.

Great bay to swim and snorkel, beach is right outside your door. Listen to the waves 24/7. Everything is clean and maintained...

Nice to be back to a familiar and comfortable vacation rental.

This is my fourth time at Napali Bay Resort. It is a wonderful location and a comfortable place to enjoy Maui. The studio is set up to accommodate vacationers with all the things that make your stay enjoyable.

The location is unbeatable for the price.

The location is perfect. There is not another place where I can walk onto the lanai and be hanging over the sand. The place is a short drive from anything you need and in many instances, walking distance. 209 is not new, but it is perfect for me. It is clean and decorated nicely. I have stayed in this unit 2 times, and in another unit, I believe it was 215, once. Obviously, I love this place. The corner unit makes the view panoramic, and neighbors on only one side. Also, no tree right outside to block the view of the beach, as in other units. Again, perfect for me, and I will choose this unit again next time, as long as it stays reasonable. less

A very relaxing and rewarding stay.

This location is literally located directly above a quiet family orientated beach with the water no more than 20 meters away from your balcony. The home has all the cooking amenities you need plus a few basic supplies such as oil, salt and pepper. The best part was we didn't have to pack up to go the beach, rather just brought the minimum supplies. If we needed something we simply walked up to the apartment to get it. less

Great Place to Stay and Play

This condo has everything you need to enjoy Napili Bay. The kitchen is fully appointed with all the cooking utensils you will need. The bed is very comfortable, as is the rest of the furniture. The lanai is awesome, with fantastic views. We watched whales, seals, turtles, dolphins, and surfers every day. Bring your binocs. The beach is right out front, with very easy access for swimming and snorkeling. The beach chairs are great. Restaurants, shopping, snorkel and surf gear are within walking distance. Fabulous golf is a short distance away. The whales were very active, and watching them from the lanai was awesome! The support staff did an excellent job with communication getting our stay set up, and going above and beyond accommodating a Fed Ex delivery before our arrival. We highly recommend 209, and we will be back! less

Just what we wanted!

My husband and I have been to Hawaii several times; each get closer to staying at our "perfect" location. This time, we knew that being right on the beach was our big priority. We also wanted to be able to snorkel and to be close to--but not in the middle of--all the amenities of Ka'anapali. Napili Bay Condo 209 pretty much hit all our wants. We had a wonderful view from our lanai of Napili Bay, the turtles, whales, and people-watching. Tho it's a condo, everything we could have wanted was there, from beach chairs and towels to an extra drying rack. Nearby Napili Plaza was three minutes (by car) away and we went there daily for Maui Tacos, snorkel equipment, groceries (and great sandwiches for lunch), and Mama's BBQ. Getting to Lahaina and Ka'anapali is very easy, and heading north to the attractions was also a snap. I appreciated the easy check-in, the gift of a totebag and yummy mac candy, the responsiveness of the manager on the couple of times we had to call (couldn't find the TV remote! Oh, no!). For the two of us, this was the perfect place. Families may find it a bit small...but just rent two! :-) less

209 is a golden spot!

Second time to Napili Bay Resort. Like last time, had a terrific stay. The location is fantastic - there's a swimming inlet in front of the condo and turtle snorkeling in the next inlet 2 minute walk away. The corner view is ideal. We would prefer the taller chairs on the balcony to see over the rail instead of through the rail. When it mattered, we stood up. Chairs or not, we both feel like we would want 209 again. less

Beautiful Views

This was our first time at this resort and we were very impressed with it. Was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Our dishwasher didn't work, but we called and someone was sent right away to check it out. The beach bag filled with aloha goodies was very thoughtful and the bag perfect for our time at the beach. As this is a corner unit, we had great views and didn't hear anyone in the unit beside us. our only complaint is that the lanai doesn't have a rail, it is solid wood so you cant see through it down to the water and beach below. the lanai chairs don't sit you up high enough to see over. There were ice packs left in our freezer to take with you in the provided cooler that helped a lot on our day trips. Overall this is a very lovely room with everything provided to make your stay enjoyable. less

Awesome view and so close to the water!

My husband and I just got back from a 6 night stay at Napili Bay condos to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. This place was recommended to us by a couple of friends who have stayed here several times before. We loved unit 209 as it was an upper corner ocean front room. It is very clean (never saw a bug) and comfortable. I liked the fact that it provided beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler to borrow during our stay. I even donated a Costco beach umbrella when we left. The lanai has a couple of chairs and a table so we had many of our meals sitting out there looking at the sunset view. I know some of the other units have had big remodeling updates, but I don't need stainless and granite to be comfortable for a vacation that I am mostly spending outside on the beach. I am a neat freak, and one thing I recommend purchasing to bring with you is some windex or 409 type cleaner...It would have been helpful during the week for counter and sink touch-ups. There is not a pool at this property, but for me it was not a problem as I'm a snorkeler and was gone from the property in several snorkeling spots nearby all week long. We look forward to returning to this property...We think it is the best value in such a primo location of Maui! less

Great place to relax on the beach and just get away

We really enjoyed our stay in unit 209, our second stay at this complex. It couldn't be any closer to the beach, with an incredible view from the lanai. Close walk to good food at the Sea House restaurant at one end of the bay. You can see the Sea turtles from the beach or even from the lanai. It is simple, one room place but big enough for two people comfortably. Great water pressure in the shower, no a/c but two ceiling fans to circulate the great Maui breezes. We would return to this unit. less

Another great stay at Napili Bay

We have stayed at the Napili Bay resort 5 times, this was our first stay in unit 209. Our stay was booked through aloha Condos and the process is set up to make it very simple and worry free. The condo was exactly as described, includes everything you need to have a very enjoyable stay. The unit was very clean, The ocean was just a few steps away and the lanai had an amazing view. The resort has laundry facilities and a barbeque area, parking is free. This is a great area to stay in if you enjoy walking, the beach is beautiful for early morning walks, the Beach house restaurant and bar is at the far end, has great food and an excellent happy hour (2-5) with the best pupus anywhere. For the more ambitious, the walk to the Honolua General store is a good workout , there is also a very nice snack bar in the back of the store, the food is very good. If you enjoy the ocean this is the place to be, swimming is fantastic, snorkelling and turtle watching also very good, and the sound of the waves will put you to sleep earlier than you expect after a busy day. The only negative we found were the lanai chairs, they were too low to take advantage of the view, and when it is hot the cushy padding became very warm and not comfortable. Beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler are provided , we enjoyed our stay and would love to return soon. less

Love Napili Bay

Best spot on Maui and "The Napili Bay" is perfect. We loved our room and the location. We always check for that corner room first.

— Frequent Hawaii Traveler, Stayed 06/05/2013

Best location on the best beach in Maui!!!

We loved Unit 209 at Napili Bay Resort and would return there in a second. It is the southwest corner room on the 2nd floor, so an easy 180 degree panorama of the sea & sand, right on the beachfront. We rec'd excellent service from Chuck, who always answered our emails promptly, Lisa the local agent who was there in 5 min. when our coffeepot went kaput, and Lee, the resident manager who helped me with change when I was in the laundry room. (They do have a bill changer but it didn't like my $s). The room was well stocked with enough towels for our 2 week stay, enough TP, & tissue. Also had 2 better than usual boogie boards (we have had other experiences), 2 beach chairs, small ice chest, laundry basket, drying rack which we used on the lanai every day, & more. Laundry room has used books and magazines and an ice machine right outside. We loved the closeness to the beach, 30 seconds, and that a key is required to come into the complex from the beach or to go out, so there aren't people wandering through. It is on the small side, but we weren't in our room much. It is not as updated as some of the rooms, but not as old as some of them, either. Huge mirror on the north wall reflects the sea and makes room look larger. Since we were entertaining two friends almost every night (!) who were staying nearby, we found it very cramped on the lanai, which is not deep. We did have trouble figuring out how to get the oven doing what it's supposed to do. And while everything was immaculate, the tub and surround must be the originals and could use a little facelift. However water pressure was awesome and hot as we wanted it! Minor suggestion. We loved the tree right in front of the complex which provided the best shade and had the nicest people under it! We call it the "Giving Tree" after the Shel Silverstein book! You can't go wrong with this unit 209! less

Simply Paradise

This was our fourth visit to The Napili Bay Resort and the second stay in unit #209. The location can't be beat as you are directly on the beach with panoramic views of both Molokai and Lanai. Unit #209 is on the corner of the second floor directly facing the bay so the lanai is open on two sides which gives you what I think is the best view of all the condos in the complex. Aloha Condos manages #209, as well as several other units in the complex and I can't say enough about how great they are to work with. Chuck and his group are very professional, communicate quickly and definitely have the "aloha spirit". Both condos that we stayed in were well kept, had very comfortable beds and all the amenities that we could wish for ( free WiFi, dishwasher, cable tv, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc). The only item that is missing from # 209 is a fridge with ice and water in the door so it is more convenient to make that mai tai! On our first stay in this unit we were amazed at how loud the ocean was, so if you are a light sleeper perhaps you should bring ear plugs for the first few nights until you adjust to the crashing surf. After a short adjustment we now love the continually changing character of the ocean as well as the constant breeze that keeps the condo comfortable. I think that the Napili Bay Resort has the best location and is the best value in West Maui. Napili Bay itself is picture perfect, with a great sandy beach and a low key " Old Hawaii Feel". Thanks again to Chuck and his group for another memorable stay. less

Wonderful stay at Napili Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Napili Bay Resort #209. This was our second stay at Napili Bay, and 209 is just a perfect unit in a great little affordable resort. The condo itself is well equipped with just about everything you would need for a comfortable week on the beach. (We only had one issue, as we think the oven isn't working properly, should be looked at or repaired.) This resort has no pool or hot tub, which doesn't bother us as we spend our time on the beach or in the ocean, but if you are looking for a full service resort, this isn't it. We had unbelievable views from a private lanai in this corner unit, and the proximity to the ocean on this beautiful, low key bay is fantastic. I have never stayed anywhere in Hawaii where I was so close to the water. The sound of the surf in the units facing the ocean is amazing. The water in Napili bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, as is the water in the very close Kapulua bay. There are great walking trails in Kapalua, and the General Store at Kapalua is a nice inexpensive place to have breakfast or a cup of coffe after an early morning walk in Kapalua. The Sea House Restaurant on Napili is also a good breakfast, lunch or sunset dinner spot with reasonable prices for Hawaii. We watched dozens of whales all week from our lanai. The grocery market in Napili is just minutes away, and a much better alternative for buying food and supplies than the very busy Safeway in very busy Lahaina. There is quite a bit of traffic on this side of the island, especially from Lahaina to Kapalua, but was not a big problem if you avoid driving at rush hour. We would recommend Napili Bay wholeheartedly! less

Owner/Manager Response

Lori, thanks for the “heads up” on the oven. We checked it with an oven thermometer and the temperature control was not working properly. We replaced the entire oven yesterday along with a new dishwasher. Owner, Chuck

Low Key and Fabulous

Our stay in unit 209 at Napili Bay Resort was fabulous. The studio room was updated with tasteful decor and it was clean and very comfortable. The grounds are kept up very nicely and the management friendly and helpful. I never heard any of the neighbors, although the sound of the ocean waves would have probably drown them out! I've stayed in lots of fancy resorts, but prefer the low key, more local feel of Napili and very much appreciated this particular condo. less

Aloha appears to take great care in ensuring what is promised is delivered. This condo is well-equipped: a full kitchen with all the utensils you would ever need; deck chairs and boogie boards for the beach; a comfortable bed. The ocean view is spectacular. Fabulous, restful, idyllic, happy vacation at Napili Bay

We've been returning to the Napili Bay Resort for 37 years - since 1974! And of all the units we've experienced over time, we like 209 the best. It is on the corner of the building, thus the lanai has an oceanfront view to the north, and a spectacular sunset view to the west. We love to experience early mornings and sunsets and moonlit nights on the deck - after snorkeling in the bay for up to four hours every day. The amenities of the unit are superb and tasteful - though we hope the owner will upgrade the shower/bath someday. And perhaps a high definition TV with a DVR might be a nice touch... (though we don't go to Maui to watch television). We love it here, and we shall return. less

#209 was just right for us

I would whole-heartedly recommend #209 in the Napili Bay Resort. It was pretty with tropical furnishings. We had a great time being so close to the ocean with some terrific snorkeling there right in the bay. We could hear the crashing of the waves through the open louve (sic) windows. They provided a very nice gift basket to welcome us with a pineapple, tote bag, chocolate macadamia nuts, fresh fruit, etc. The full kitchen is nicely equipped for pretty much any kind of dinner you want to make. This little gem was everything we were looking for in a stay by the sea in Maui. The ocean was ten feet out the door The sunsets were beautiful. The view from the 2nd floor. balcony were fantastic! We could see the whales spouting and breeching from the balcony! The Hawaiian theme of the condo was charming. We had everything we needed including beach chairs and boogy boards. The unit was just right for two of us, some may say small but it was a studio and we spent most of the time on the porch. The kitchen was well equip for cooking but not there was no place to eat (table to sit at), we ate evening meals out, so only cooked once but did do breakfast and lunch on the porch. The Napili Bay Best Kept Secret on Maui

This is my 7th or 8th time visiting The Napili Bay. I always stay on the 2nd floor which allows the best view of killer sunsets each night. There are sea turtles swimming 25 yards from your lanai. Little Piece of Heaven

When we arrived, we were greeted with a basket of fresh fruit and chocolate. The view from our room 209 was stunning. Best view in Maui, I can say that because we stayed in different locations on Maui before, and never had such an incredible view! The room is 20 seconds from the beach! The apartment was not overly updated but super clean, wonderful bed!!! Huge and comfortable! We slept like babies in it :). Everything was available. There is no air conditioner but it did not bother us too much. If it got warm we would open all the windows and enjoy the breeze and the view. We were 5 minutes away walking from famous Gazebo restaurant, where the locals love to eat too and on the right side walking distance to Seahouse! Incredible food too! Perfect vacation!

My hubby and I are still glowing after a wonderful, relaxing (too short) vacation at Napili Bay Resort. We stayed in #209 and were very content with this corner unit. It was clean and well equipped, and tastefully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular view from the balcony...we even saw a few whales breaching off in the channel! It did get quite hot on the balcony from 2-4pm, but the beach is steps away, the ocean is lovely and we could always find a spot of shade under the big tree to sit and read and relax. The snorkeling on the reef in the bay is decent, and we saw green sea turtles swimming right in the bay. A really excellent snorkeling site is aprox. 10 kms up the road in Honolua Bay, and I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling...we saw incredible corals, turtles, a Moray Eel, and countless beautiful tropical fish...most excellent! Fruits and veggies are pretty expensive on Maui, but there's a little farmers market/grocery store on the left side of the road heading towards Kanapali that had the best prices. Also we found some good fresh reasonably priced fish and meats in the Napili Marketplace store on Napilihau Street, which is a 2 min. drive away from the condo. They also have a good selection of wine, etc. The entrance to this store is a little hard to spot as it's located inside a small strip mall of sorts, and you probably won't see the entrance door unless you get out of your car and check out the store fronts...it's a little to the right of the middle. Anyways, we managed to put 500 miles on our rental car in a week...drove up to the volcano, and took the road to Hana...went to the souvenir market in Kihei, and just generally had a great time! Hope to be back here one day soon, and would highly reommend Napili Bay Resort...the location is fabulous. less

Great Condo, Nice Location

My wife, 4 month old son, and one set of grandparents spent a great week at Napili Bay Resort. Condo 209 was actually just right for all of us. The accomodations were spacious enough. The sunset views were incredible right from the balcony. Picture whales in the distance lit by the setting sun! Really. The cove just outside was filled with turtles and provided some great snorkeling, even for my parents. Though it is a little bit difficult getting in and out of the water for those less fit. A Snorkel Bob's is a 10 minute walk for rental equipment. The proximity to Napili Beach made for a nice easy stroll. There is a local grocery, coffee shop and a Maui Tacos all close by. Lahaina is a 15 minute drive. We are cyclists and rode a round trip heading north from the condo all the way around to near the airport and clockwise to Lahaina. A beautiful ride with good climbs early on. The condo was kept clean, towels exchanged regularly. There were adequate cooking utensils as we prepared most of our meals at the condo. We called ahead and rented baby equipment from a local baby rental business. It was there when we arrived and was picked up after we left...very convenient. Maui is enchanting...Napili Bay Resort made it easy, condo 208 has a beautiful location. less

Our Destination Wedding in Paradise

Could we have picked a better location! When planning a trip, much less a wedding, from clear across the continental United States, internet reviews and gut feelings make your decisions. We could never have made a better choice. With all the comforts of home, a backdrop of crystal clear ocean, and memorable sunsets, Napili Bay gave us everything we wanted and more. We stayed in Unit # 209 (Top Floor, Corner) and soaked up every minute. With amazing hospitality and traditional Hawaiian surroundings, we would recommend Napili Bay to everyone. We will never have to worry about where we want to stay on Maui, because we found our paradise!! And don't pass up the Macadamia Pancakes at the Gazebo next door!! Stefan and Paula Brunt less

30th Anniversary

We have stayed at few of Napili's resorts over the years and this was an excellent choice. Great views, easy access to the beach, room was very comfortable, the little village store in the complex is very nice to have, BBQ grills make for some great nights of casual dinners and close to all that Maui has to offer. There is a little surf noise being down on the end of the beach but after all that is why your stay in a beach front condo isn't it. Aloha Condos was a perfect host and one of the easiest vacations I ever set up. Aloha and Mahalo. Kevin and Becky less

Romantic Getaway

This is a perfect spot for an inexpensive romantic couple getaway ... quiet execept for the ocean washing up on shore ... great little getaway - great views and nice facilities for a romantic getaway on a budget. The gift basket when we arrived late that night was the perfect welcome and the sounds of the ocean are just incredible. less

Beautiful Beachfront Location....!!

We stayed in Unit 209 for our 1st Anniversary. Napili Bay is a beautiful quiet beach and we loved that part of the island of Maui. Perfect location to enjoy Kapalua, Lahaina, Kaanapali, etc... Unit is cozy romantic. Best Unit in building. Fantastic 2nd floor corner unit with panoramic beach/ocean view. A few steps down the stairs and you are on the beach....!! Owner Chuck was great to deal with. Left us a nice gift upon arrival. Provided beach chairs, boogie boards, etc... Fantastic value.....!! Would stay again in a heartbeat.....!! Wonderful place to stay

My wife and I stayed at the Napili Bay condos and I am extremely happy with it. If you are undecided about staying at a condo vs a hotel....GO CONDO! You won't have to deal with gift shops, elevators and all that mess. If you are unsure about which beach, Napili Bay was wonderful for adults and kids, but wasn't overcrowded. About the condo itself: I stayed in a second floor unit facing the beach and at night the waves crashed hard on the rocks there on the edge of the bay and this resort appears to take the brunt of the decibels. I had to wear earplugs to sleep. But I would do it again, and stay in the same room again, and wear earplugs again, because the view and the location of the condo was awesome. less

Dreams come true here

Hundred of words can never begin to explain how wonderful of a trip we had here. It is truely one of the best times of our life!

The very BEST!!!

As described on the website, this condo is one of the most popular condos on-site. No doubt why - 2nd story, oceanfront, corner condo with privacy, beautiful views of the beach, Molokai across the way, the turtle activity, and lovely beach, great photo opportunities for the sunsets, not to mention the nearby Gazebo restaurant for lunch and dinner. Besides that, the grounds were immaculate and had all kinds of beautiful flora, and we loved the availability of the gas grills and laundry. We took advantage of grill to do some dinners in, which helped fray the meal expenses. Transportation for island activites, such as the Haleakala sunrise bike trip and the Hana Highway excursion were easily available to us with pick ups at the roadside. All services were nearby, as were additional lovely beaches and blowholes. We would recommend Aloha Condos to everyone and would love to return to condo 209 in the future. I can't say enough wonderful things about Napili Bay - it was truly paradise. less

LOVED it.

We absolutely loved our one-week stay at Napili Bay #209. Writing this review makes me want to book a flight back for tomorrow. The condo was clean and bright, and it was perfect for our needs for the week. We loved being able to step out onto the small balcony and enjoy the beautiful view. Chuck, the owner, was great to work with and was very helpful in answering some questions we had as first-time visitors to Hawaii. I would recommend this unit to anyone. The only thing to keep in mind, if anyone in your party is a light sleeper, is that you can't turn off the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. This condo is ON THE BEACH - and it can be loud (and, since it's a public beach, so can the people). Since the windows don't exactly "close," the sound can only be muffled - not completely shut out. It didn't bother me so much, but it did take my husband a couple of nights to get used to it. In NO way do I want to deter anyone from staying here, but if you like to sleep in silence, be prepared - you may want to invest in some earplugs! FYI - my husband was also very concerned that this unit does not have air conditioning, but it was truly not an issue at all. It's very breezy, and hopefully you'll be spending most of your time enjoying the beautiful Hawaii outdoors anyway! less

Honeymoon destination

We stayed about 6 nights on the corner unit facing the bay. It was simple but had all that we needed. We fell asleep to the crashing waves on the bay and were greeted once by a school of dolphins. We relax mostly and swam during the day. We snorkeled with turtles just a few feet around the corner. We would stay there again. The best part was we got to use the beach chairs to gaze at the abundance of stars each night. One night we saw a few shooting stars. less

Relaxing Vacation

We started well with the condo owner, Chuck, who is helpful and professional. The arrangements proceeded very smoothly, and when we got there late at night - the directions, instructions and key provided, were very helpful. The condo is attractive and well equipped with everything we needed and more. It really is as good as it looks in photos. The location of the condo is ideal, with a perfect view, and steps away from putting your feet in the ocean. We did see whales, turtles and superb sunsets. If you are looking for a restful, quiet vacation at one of the best beaches, this is the place to be. less

Great Getaway

We had a great time at the Alohacondos. It was very easy getting to the complex and Chuck made it a very easy check-in. There was NO hassle with anything. The beachfront condo has a great view of the sunset and has easy access to restaurants, snorkeling, and just lazing on the beach. We didn't feel the need to get up and go anywhere else. The sea breeze flows through the condo and keeps things cooled off at that time of year. The wireless internet access was a real bonus. less

Sand and sea turtles in the back yard

We love Napili Bay. We found the area through a travel agent and stayed at a local hotel. I recommended the location to a co-worker who found the Napili Bay condo units. We tried them next and are now true repeat fans. We know it, the sea turtles, the sunsets, the view of Molokai, the local coral reefs and even some residents so we feel like it's our little second home when we get to visit. It's not fancy hotel living. It's comfortable, relaxing and friendly for those who are looking to feel more at home and happy to hang out in a studio apartment than be waited on. The bay is beautiful and not too big. Therefore, you never feel crowded in. Condo 209 is perfect for us and the owner is wonderful. He makes certain everything is up to snuff and that you are welcome and appreciated. The grounds manager is always there to help too. The room is tropically decorated and puts you in the island mood quickly. The bed and amenities are very comfortable. There is a television and DVD/VCR if you're so inclined. There are boogie boards and beach chairs to use. We get our food when we arrive, cook in the evenings and have no pressure to leave the bay unless we want to. Breakfast on the lania watching the clouds drift by Molokai and the sea turtles feed on the coral just yards away is fantastic. The condo is on the west corner and you will be treated with incredible sunsets every night. The only thing to note is that the rooms do not have air conditioning - ceiling fans though - so it can get warm inside but who cares when you need only a swimsuit to enjoy Napili Bay. Give it a try if you want to wind down from a hustle bustle life and tune in to a relaxing and rejuvenating place. less

Great Place for Family or Newlyweds

My wife and I visited Maui (Napili Beach Area) in 2005,and wanted to come back, at least once more. The area is great for Family's, newlyweds and even singles. Our accomadations in 2009 provided the best view, and BBQ area for preparing evening dinners that made our stay both economical, romantic and special. The grounds, which are natively landscaped only enhanced the "Hawaii Experience" and we would love to come back again. Best, Bill Monroe less

Napili Bay Great Condo!

This was a great condo that I would highly recommend. The view was wonderful and it had more windows than most because it was a corner unit. It is a short walk to the beach which had some of the best snorkeling anywhere (if you like BIG turtles that is!). We snorkeled every day and saw anywhere from 5-30 turtles each time. It was amazing. The condo itself was very clean and nicely appointed. We found the price to be exceptional when compared to other condos and the views of this one can't be beat! Again, I would highly recommend this particular unit and would stay there again. less

Fabulous Find in Paradise

We stayed at Unit 209 at Aloha Condos for a glorious week - did not want to leave!! Our rental car remained unused, as the beach was perfect - right down the stairs from our condo, restaurants nearby and a lovely little market and fish market we could purchase provisions. We ate almost all our meals out on the lanai, overlooking the beach and beautiful Napili Bay. The sunsets are gorgeous and the king bed was so comfortable. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and tanned, rested and recharged, we reluctantly made our way home, hoping to come back SOON to Unit 209. less

tranquil oceanfront retreat

We recently stayed at Napili Bay Condos for a perfect wonderful week. The condo is right on the beach with a wonderful view of the bay and perfect sunsets. The snorkeling right out front is really good with sea turtles and lots of fish. We can't wait to come back!! less
