We love Napili Bay Resort - Incredible location, a few caveats about the unit below

We have stayed in this complex, other units, several times. It is always our first choice. Great beach, surfing and snorkeling, wonderful view. Quiet, sufficient parking, laundry, common outdoor grills. A few restaurants nearby, Sea Horse was perfect (make a reservation!). I wouldn't go back to Kitchen 5315 nearby - unimpressive food and service. Groceries, coffee shop and rotisserie restaurant and other services 2-3 minutes away. The Fish Market Restaurant a mile or so south 3600 Lower Honoapiilani is great for takeout. Skip the nearby "Honokowai Farmers Market", small, weird, understocked. The unit owner was very communicative, and we really appreciate that. The unit was clean, well kept, well stocked with plenty of extras, very comfortable. Great bed, new large refrigerator. All the kitchen appliances and utensils you could possible need including dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, etc. Furnishings: would prefer a larger sofa. Having a desk and a dining table was perfect for our needs. The dresser was a bit oversized, the TV was probably a 27, could have been bigger. Other units in this complex have remodeled bathrooms with a great walk-in shower. This one had traditional tub. Beware the two chairs on the patio, if you lean forward a modest amount they will tip and dump you! Happened to both my wife and I. Luckily no injuries. (We are average sized people, I am tall, my wife is short) This is the only reason I did not give a 5 rating. One other thought, this property is pretty far (relatively) north on the west side. With last year's devastation in Lahaina, we found ourselves driving further to reach other Maui attractions. On previous trips we always went to Lahaina for dining, shopping, whale watching boats. This trip we went to Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, Twin Falls and Paia, Haleakalā National Park, Wailea, Whalers Village, Kihei Kalama Village, Maui Ocean Center Aquarium.... so preplan your travels time wise. Or just spend your whole vacation within walk distance. (grin) And if you go to see the divers at Black Rock, be sure to visit the happy hour at the ocean front bar at the Sheraton. In summary, yes we would definitely stay at unit 208 again! less

Great as Usual

We have vacationed at Napili Bay for several years. This is one of the units we enjoy staying in. Everything works and is in good shape. Nothing like the sound of the surf to go to sleep to.

— Derek, Stayed 02/21/2024

Napili Bay Resort

My husband and I spent 3 nights in this Studio, #208. Great location and upstairs unit right on the beach. Loved listening to the waves day and night. Nice clean unit, well equipped, king bed with seating on the balcony. We traveled in March and saw lots of whales spouts right from the unit. Owner responded to any questions we had, promptly. A winner! less

— Paula, Stayed 03/22/2023

A great stay

Our second stay in 208. We thoroughly enjoyed the location, the unit itself, and the sounds of the surf. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Napili Bay Condo #208

We arrived to a beautiful, clean, updated and inviting studio. Big bed. Greatest view ever (whale season and having a beachfront condo made all the difference in the world, especially because we had a lot of rainy winter weather). This was our third stay at this condo group and it was the best site we have ever had. Included welcome bottles of water, beers lefotver from previous guests!!, cleaning supplies, soaps and all the accoutrements. One high point was AMY, the local contact (part of the Buser family). She was communicative, kind and generous (she knows what we mean, wink wink and Mahalo). We would recommend to ALL and hope to come back another time. Thanks Amy and family. Your condo is amazing and anyone would be lucky enough to stay here and enjoy! less

On the beach

This unit is on the beach! Enjoyed the view and people watching from the balcony. Beautiful sunsets every night. So close to to nice places eat/drink. Walk the Kapalua Trail. The room is perfect for a couple. Clean and breezy. Beth was a pleasure to work with, and let us bring in our food items before check-in. This was our first time staying in a unit directly on the beach. We absolutely loved it, but I have to say the shore-break can be quite loud when you’re trying to sleep. I’m a light sleeper so I woke up several times during the night. I was expecting soft ocean waves to lull me to sleep. However, you do get used to it. We’ll book our stay for a longer period next year! less

The best condos at Napili Bay

The Buser-owned condos are the best condos available in the complex. Impeccably-maintained, modern and comfortable. I appreciate the high quality cooking tools (Oxo) and the attention to detail in keeping up their place. We've been visiting Napili Bay for over a decade and have stayed in a cross section of condos at the facility. This time we stayed in 208 and we really liked it. less

— Barry, Stayed 05/16/2022

Location location

We appreciate the great response we get from the aloha condos’ management team, having stayed in this complex 3 times now. While the units are small and the shower most often a dance between scalding hot or freezing cold, this is the closest you might get to an “old Hawaii” experience - a small complex with great parking and direct access to Napili Beach, where you can snorkel with the turtles and watch the whales from your lanai. It is a unique experience and a hidden gem. less

Another great stay at Napili Bay

We returned for another stay at Napili Bay, this time in unit 208. The setting is wonderful, right on the beach. We will be back.

— Mike, Stayed 01/19/2022

Everything as promised and more!

The week we spent at the Napili Resort in #208 was everything and more of what was promised. We didnt expect the beach chairs and Boogie boards. Excellent. We are now missing the crashing wave sounds as we sleep. Thank you!

December Break

Great place to stay. Wonderful view. Excellent accommodations, well equipped. Convenient yet secluded

return to Napili

We had a wonderful stay, once again, at the Napili Bay Resort, unit #208. It's been years, so we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade of floors and cabinets. I would just recommend to put some higher table and chairs on the deck for better viewing and add an umbrella for the beach please. Mahalo! less

We will be back

We had a great time in 208. The location is perfect. Several great restaurants and a Market right up the road. The beach is amazing and we had some amazing snorkeling and swims with turtles right outside our place. A leg on the beach chair broke and they delivered a new one the next day. Nothing but good things to say. less

Best vacation ever!

We were so lucky to have a spot right on Napili Bay - the prettiest beach on Maui!

Amazing view!!

Best views in Maui and great accommodation!! The unit was perfect in every way!! Can’t wait to return!!

— randall, Stayed 07/13/2021

Relaxing enjoyment!

Napili is our favorite spot in the islands. Our room had a fantastic view. It was only steps away from the sand for my wife and I could enjoy the beach from the patio since I am not a sand person. We availed ourselves of wonderful lunches at nearby restaurants and enjoyed BBQing in the evening in the well equipped area on the resort. Unit 208 was great with a comfortable bed and well equipped with everything we needed. Aloha! less

First time

This was my first time staying at studio #208 Napili Bay Resort. Staying alone,it had all the space I needed. It looked upgraded and the bed was comfortable. It is right on Napili beach so lots of sunsets. and whale watching. I would stay here again. less

Lovely apartment on a fabulous beach

Napili Bay is a low-rise structure right on beautiful Napili Beach. We have stayed there many times and have already reserved again next year. Unit 208 has full ocean view directly on the beach is particularly nicely appointed with beautiful wood floors. We would go back in a heartbeat. less

A wonderful experience!

This is a great place to stay! We have been to Maui several times and have stayed at some beautiful resorts such as the Westin Nanea. While the hotels offer a great experience the Napili Bay Resort is well, just a super place! Condo #208 was all that it advertised. There was a great view and the sights and sounds were fantastic! We appreciated having a nice kitchen area for some stay at home meals (and the BBQ area was great!). The condo provided beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, and the perfect location to see turtles and whales all day long. We will definitely book this again upon our return to Maui! Thank you Chuck and Amy for a wonderful time! Bill less

Napoli Bay #208

We stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and this time for our 40th. We were so impressed the first visit we knew exactly where to book our next stay. Perfect location to literally everything. The condo has everything you could possibly need and was exceptionally clean as well and comfortable. Only request would be to add water pressure to the shower head and regulate hot/cold, but that won’t change our love for this place. Thanks for sharing the space. less

— Jan, Stayed 11/28/2019

Great place

#208 was great. The view amazing to the ocean and the sunsets. After the showerhead was replaced (water was squirting all over) it was wonderful stay. Thanks for the new beach chairs. We left two pool noodles on the lani for future guests to use as well. Oh a beach umbrella would be nice, really a handy thing to have on the beach. Thanks, we will be back. Dannie less

Condo 208

Unit was great. Kitchen had all the necessities. It would be nice if there was an umbrella, I had to buy one. The beach chairs should probably be replaced since the zippers for the packs on the back of the chair are inoperable. I would rent the unit again. Any chance for a discount for renting the unit for two weeks? less

My family has been coming to Napili Bay for over 50 years and Chucks condos at The Napili Bay are wonderful. Ocean front units that are exceptionally clean and well furnished. Fantastic view. Beautiful location. Tim and Stephanie Peres

— Timothy, Stayed 05/22/2019

Wonderful location for a pleasant stay

We wanted a quiet, peaceful, restful beach vacation and found it at Napili Bay. This was our fourth visit to Napili Bay. If you want a beautiful, crescent shaped beach, and the soothing sounds of the shore, no crowds and little to do but relax, Napili Bay is the place. Chuck keeps unit 208 in good condition and stocks it with whatever you will need for your stay. It is what you might have for yourself if you were fortunate enough to have your own beach condo in Hawaii. The Napili Market, just a five minute drive away, is a large supermarket. Lahaina is a 20 minute drive away and there are fine dining options five minutes away at Kapalua. Napili Bay is our favorite place to be in Hawaii. less

— Gary, Stayed 04/21/2019

Heaven again at Napili Bay

This was our 7th trip to Napili Bay condos, but our first stay in condo #208. It was marvelous as usual! This condo proved to be our favorite. Clean, well furnished, gift bag awaited us...all was perfect. Thanks again for making more wonderful Maui memories!

— Patti, Stayed 04/13/2019

Beach front view

We saved for 2 years to pay for condo 208. What a wonderful condo, well worth the price and the view! This space is very much upper end, clean, clean! top of the line appliances, fluffy towels, firm sheets and large pillows. The high lite of our stay was the deck facing the ocean where we would sit and watch the whales while having our morning coffee. The whales were very active and we saw them every day of our stay which was 11 days. So awesome! Beach towels, chairs and boards for floating, standing or just challenging the waves are provided. there is an area for barbecuing and a laundry area for washing and drying your clothes. Napili Bay Resort is the perfect get away and I encourage you to check them out it will be totally worth it. As we walked into the Condo we saw how beautiful everything was and a gift basket was there waiting for us. We so appreciated receiving it less

Best location and beach on Maui!

This is a repeat visit to the NBR and first staying at #208 and it was simply wonderful. The check-in was a breeze and Chuck had left us a nice tote bag full of local goodies so we didn't have to rush right out to the store. The bed was very comfortable, everything worked perfectly and we felt like we were really in Hawaii again, even though we had just been at a 5-star resort on Kaanapali beach for a week. My favorite part of the day was waking up with a cup of coffee on the lanai and watching for the first whale spout or breach, or the swimmers in the bay or the occasional boogie boarder out on the point. You can walk right out the door to one of the best walks/hikes on the island (Kapalua trail) as well as to two of the best restaurants (the Gazebo and the Sea House). There's all you need here for the vacay of a lifetime here; if you're looking for a big kid's pool and schedule activities this may not be for you, but if you want the low-key real Hawaii, this is it!! Wish I was there right now! less

— John, Stayed 01/26/2019

Excellent Time

Room 208 was well equipped and in very nice condition - we have been to Maui about 8 times and this is the first time we have stayed at the Napili Bay Resort- We enjoyed listening to the waves nightly and the beach was great - we will definitely stay at the Napili Bay Resort next time we travel to Maui. less

Another perfect stay!

We LOVE staying here! It’s just about as close to perfection as it gets. This is our second time and I’m sure we’ll be back yet again. The sunsets are amazing, fallining alseep to the waves, beach access so close- those are just a few of the many great reasons to stay here. You will NOT be disappointed if you stay here. It’s absolutely the BEST! less

— Kelly, Stayed 12/10/2018

Great condo!

We've stayed at Napili Bay Resort numerous times, but this is the first time we stayed in #208. The condo is very nice and has been updated throughout (with the exception of the shower/bathtub and fixtures in there). We loved the way the kitchen is laid out, with the refrigerator located right when you first walk in, so that you have some nice counter space to use, making it feel more spacious. We would definitely go back! less

Memories of a lifetime

We rented 4 condos from 9/11-9/18, 201, 203 , 207 and 208. We treated our kids and their "significant others" to this vacation. We have stayed at Napili Bay a few times before and it is just the best. The size and the location is just perfect. I new we would have an amazing time but my expectations were surpassed. The kids could not believe the amazing location and for what you are getting you really cannot beat the price. We have talked about one day staying in a hotel on the beach, but we honestly can't imagine anything being any better than Napili Bay!! less

— Stephannie, Stayed 09/23/2018

Great stay

This was the best online condo rental process I've experienced. Everything was exactly as represented on the website, and Chuck was super helpful when I had questions before the trip. The unit was well-appointed, spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and the best part is it sat directly on the sand. The only room for improvement would be a couple extra fans, as the unit is nor airconditioned and we had several days with no breeze (and high humidity). less

— Susan , Stayed 09/16/2018

Perfect Place - Perfect Location

This is a perfect little condo on Napili Bay. Nicely furnished and well equipped. Also, easy parking, which is nice. Walk to a couple restaurants. wonderful snorkeling and golf close by. We have stayed in the complex before, but this is one of the nicer units. We will be back. less

Fabulous Vacation at Napili Bay Resort

We spent a week in Condo 208 at Napili Bay. The condo was on the second floor and the deck provided a great view for whale watching above the beach and all the beach goers. It was newly renovated and a great find.

A Whale of a Great Time

My husband and I were lucky to have the chance to leave the cold and dreariness of February in Missouri and escape to sunny and warm Maui. Our home for our two weeks in paradise was Napili Bay condo 208. We have stayed at this complex several times and always loved it, but unit 208 was a real treat. We faced the beach so we were able to see whales and gorgeous sunsets right from our lanai! The unit was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated in a tropical style. The updated kitchen, bath, and flooring were great. We appreciated the glass table and chairs that provided a nice place to eat and the desk placed right in front of the louvered windows from which I could read and write while feasting my eyes on the fantastic beach scene below. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed to fix meals, and we enjoyed the beach chairs and boogie boards. Having a "welcome basket" of tropical treats waiting for us was a much appreciated bonus. I really felt that the owners had taken a lot of care to make our stay in unit 208 a special event. Thank you!!!! less

Mahalo for Napili Bay Stay

It is hard to top a vacation in paradise on the island of Maui! But, it is possible if your holiday includes Napili Bay Resort. Every morning we wake up to the sound of the waves breaking on the fine sand beach right outside our door. A few steps away onto the lanai we see the sun beams touch the top of Moloka'i as it rises over the West Maui Mountains. The mynah birds return from their roost, perhaps from as far away as the Banyan Tree in Lahaina down the road, chirping aloha to the dawn. If you are fortunate enough you might even see a pair of red headed cardinals who nest nearby. A cup of tea in hand (or Maui coffee if you prefer) and breakfast made in the condo kitchen, you can sit for hours watching the bay seeing the waves, humpback whales, turtles, dolphins, boats and ships. Soon the other early risers appear on the beach to soak in as much of their day as possible. The condo has all the ammenities we need. A reuseable tote bag of island treats welcomes you as soon as you walk in. Everything is clean and all the conveniences of home including toiletries, wifi, tv, laundry facilities, and more are there to make your stay easier. Contact numbers for any, though doubtful, issues you may have are provided as is weekly cleaning service. Cannot wait to come back! less

Best bay on the West Side

Our first time in Maui and so glad I found the Napili Bay Resort. Best beach! It looked manicured and not crowded. I enjoyed watching the whales in the distance and sea turtles off the end of the bay by the rocks. We were on the second story and a stones throw away from the ocean. The condo was perfect for our needs of my boyfriend and myself. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. They provided beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, wake boards and a nice little welcome tote filled with goodies. The only thing missing was some snorkel gear so we could swim with the sea turtles that hang around all day out on the reef!! Hope to be back with my kids someday. Mahalo less

Perfect location!

Napili Bay Resort was a nice change from our usual South Maui destination. 208 Beachfront was the perfect location with a gorgeous view and close access to everything we needed (groceries, variety of food choices, activities, and a fabulous BEACH!). Communication with Chuck was great, the condo had everything we needed, and it was the perfect space for 2 people. (I was concerned there was no A/C but in January the fans, cross breeze, and the covered front door/no direct sun, was very comfortable.) We even had a very nice and thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us. Loved our stay in 208! (Tip: avoid long lines at the Gazebo, call in order, walk next door to pick it up and eat on your lanai!) less

Condo 208

The condo was beautiful. It did require a few amenities however. Plastic glasses, a dish rack, and hooks to hang dish towels on in the kitchen bathing suits in the bathroom and wet towels out on the balcony. The waves were enormous and we constantly had wet clothes and towels and had to put them in the washer dryer every time. We’ve been staying in the aloha condos for 28 years And the one we stay and does have hooks that are low on the balcony sidewalls that come in very handy. I would rate this condo very high. 5 stars less

Great place. Perfect for 2 people who love the beach and great sunsets. Literally right on the beach. Unit had everything including beach towels, sand chairs and wave boards. Two great restaurants at either end of the beach. Will book this unit next year.

Great Oceanfront Studio

This was our first visit to Maui and when we arrived late at night and opened the door to the lanai, we were in heaven. Even though we were very tired, we enjoyed the ocean waves for a few hours before getting some sleep (glad we packed that bottle of wine). The bed is incredibly comfortable. The condo is very clean with a nice island feel to it. Well equipped with all that you need for your stay. With the beach being busy, we loved being on the second floor for privacy. Awesome views and sunsets every night. Loved being steps away from a fantastic swimming and snorkeling beach. Very relaxed atmosphere at the resort and quiet in the evening. Lovely welcoming gift bag provided by owner. Would highly recommend this condo and hope to return one day. Mahalo, Lee & Ed less

Review from Cameron and Juliette

Wr loved the location, it's very soothing and quite beautiful. Everything in the condo was supplied but we do have a couple of suggestions. First of all the WiFi was not available at all, the signal is so weak we could not make any reservations or research anything. The only physical suggestion would be to do what every place there has done which is to make the railings on the deck see through. The wood panels limit your enjoyment of sitting on the deck and watching the ocean. FInally, the units next door have done remodels to update their appliances and amenities. Again the location is wonderful and with a few upgrades would be perfect. Thanks , Cameron and Juliette less

Beach Heaven

This condo was a great place to stay at our favorite Hawaiian Beach. If you want a well-priced way to be steps away from a world class beach and restaurant, this is it! Bed was very comfortable, amenities very good. Our view of the beach was wonderful, as was the soothing sound. Two overhead fans and a portable one kept us cool at night. We had everything we needed. Great backpack beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards! I wish there was a safe there. It is not an updated unit, but really that did not matter. How much time do you spend inside? Not much on that beach and on that island! less

A Little Bit of Heaven

Indeed this special place on Napili Bay is a place to connect with your heart and soul. Every morning you wake up to an incredible view with coffee on the lanai and the spectacular colors of the blue waters and the green lush trees. The condo has everything you need to cook "in" or BBQ on the community pit, where you meet other delightful people staying in the complex. The beach is "right there" for your convenience and the sunsets waiting for you every night. I have stayed here many times before and will stay here again. Thank you Chuck and Deb for a beautiful and comfortable place to rest and rejuvenate. less

Perfect beachfront condo

We couldn't have asked for a better, cozier experience at Napili Bay. Conveniently located, clean, quiet, and right on one of the best beaches in the world.

Next to beach and surf at Napili Bay

This was our second stay at beautiful Napili Bay. This time we were in 208 on the second floor next to the beach. We could not be any closer to the beach unless we were on the first floor. You could see and hear the surf breaking on the beach day and night. We had a great time there. It was good to have a full kitchen so we only had to go out for dinner. Our only dislike was that we are used to air conditioning and it was 88 degrees in September. There are overhead fans which help make the heat bearable . What the condo needs is a high speed fan or fans to blow the cooler air into the condo in the evening. We will stay at this condo again next time we are back in Maui. This was our fourth trip to Maui. less

Where else can you check in, grab a drink and be on the beach in 30 seconds or less, and not just any beach , this is Napili bay, world famous and living up to its reputation of being the Best Beach! And I've seen a lot of beaches, Well we just spent 4'nights in Chucks number 208 a really cute and fully functional condo, these aren't huge in sq feet but are power packed with all you could ask for, full size kitchen and dishwasher, king size bed views to die for and a couple of nice deck chairs on the Lanai. Each condo is privately owned sooo go on line at aloha condos .com and look to see which ones work for you, Oh by the way , when we checked in there was a great gift bag, with goodies like chocolates water, coffee, chips, nice touch and the canvas bag was used all trip for snorkeling etc, condo itself has been somewhat upgraded, if you need granit counters etc, maybe rent a different condo but for me and my hubby, yes 208 is great! less

Good Value for ocean front

Good value for the money. Great location, comfortable bed. Only negative: on our day of arrival, we were at the complex early and weren't able to get into the unit until 3:00 pm. EXACTLY, even though the unit was clearly ready for occupation before that. Most other units allow early access if the unit is ready. We literally waited in the courtyard for an hour while our clean, ready condo sat empty, only to then watch someone install the key pad at 2:59. OK, rules are rules, I guess. But we then found it ironic that we got a phone call on our day of departure, asking for our consideration and requesting that we call a phone number if we were going to be departing early so that housekeeping could get into the unit early.....seems like that consideration should go both ways. Other, than that, we were satisfied with the unit and appreciated the gift bag/snacks that were in our unit. Mahalo. less

Owner/Manager Response

Barry, glad you enjoyed our condo.  Just to be clear, your check-in instructions did specifically state that the unit is not accessible until 3 PM.  My maid service works in shifts, various individuals have unique responsibilities, and final clean and inspection does not often occur until shortly before 3 PM.  We don’t want our guests checking into a unit that is not fully stocked and prepared.  You are fully entitled to an 11 AM checkout time.  I’m sorry if you were offended that our maid service requested if you might be checking out early.  Their calls are also designed to remind our guests that it is checkout day.  Sometimes our guests at Napili Bay have a tendency to forget about the calendar! Chuck

Perfect, as always!

This was our fourth visit to Napili Bay Resort, and our second time staying in #208. We have never had a bad experience, and in fact remain home sick for our "home away from home" until our next trip. Unit 208 is very well appointed, with everything you need to prepare simple meals and enjoy the beach. The resort is well managed and well maintained....we can't wait for our fifth trip!. less

Napili Bay condo #208

Had a wonderful stay this October at #208 in Napili Bay. Beautiful view, great surroundings and fantastic area to vacation. Our unit 208 was very nice and well equipped...........definitely want to return.

Paradise

#208 is like our second home. The accommodations are perfect for us - ocean view, an incredibly comfortable bed and plenty of kitchen essentials. We don't spend a lot of time in the condo - why would we when there's a beautiful beach waiting for us?! We use the condo to sleep, shower and cook. The grill area provides us with ample room to cook, sit and dine, as well as meeting our neighbors, some of whom have become good friends over the years. The on-site managers do a fantastic job of quietly keeping the property groomed and well maintained. The peace and serenity of Napili stays with us through photos and memories and helps us get through cold Midwest winters, with hope for next year's visit! less

An overall nice place!

The location on the beach is fantastic. We could see whales and even a couple of turtles from the lkanai. The sound of the ocean is terrific and proximity to other services, such as the Napili Plaza makes the location great. I thought the outside carpeting really looked grubby and needs replacement. It cereates an entirely bad intial impression. The bed could have a firmer mattress for better sleeping. If you ever renovate, change the solid wood railing facing the ocean to one with interrupted slots, so you could see out to the amazing ocean without having to stand up but one could sit and enjoy. less

— Felix D, Stayed 03/04/2015

Owner/Manager Response

Felix, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay, but I’m a little confused about your comment on the carpet. The landing and walkway carpet is brand new. Most of my guests and I love my pillow top king size bed. If you have a special need for a firmer mattress, feel free to contact me for a recommendation on a future visit. Since we are part of a condominium association, there is no option to change the lanai railing; however we do advertise our condo with a large number of photos that display the lanai accurately. I’m sorry if you missed those. Chuck Buser, owner

Great Location, beachfront

I'm reluctant to give a great review lest this spot be unavailable for our inevitable return. Fantastic location overlooking the beach. The condo is modest, but with good amenities: kitchen, ceiling fans, a TV we never used. Perhaps due to the time of year (November) the beach wasn't overly crowded, and all the occupants of the low rise small condo complex were couples (no kids). Weather-wise, Napili was a bit more overcast and spots of rain than just to the south in Lahina - not a problem for us, but any serious sun-worshipper may want to consider that. Also, not a problem for us but the incessant noise of surf crashing on the beach might be an irritant to a light sleeper(?) - we found the surf sounds to be very relaxing and I slept like a log, but it can be loud. We were joined by friends who booked an adjacent condo, our condo and lanai seemed to be better for entertaining, and there is a nice communal BBQ area with multiple barbecues, picnic tables and food prep area for all fresco dining and meeting other folk in the complex. less

Perfect beach front condo for a couple

My husband and I were looking for a condo in Maui (and specifically in the Napili Bay area) that was as close to the beach as possible but wouldn't cost us a fortune. I feel like we struck gold with this condo! We had a beach front unit on the second floor so the view couldn't be any better and the condo came stocked with beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and every appliance or dish you could need in the kitchen. There is a king bed that was quite comfortable and still plenty of room to sit or store luggage without feeling crowded. The price changes according to the time of year you travel but I can assure you this is one of the most affordable places I saw in Hawaii that was directly on the beach. I would absolutely recommend this condo to family and friends. One thing to note that some do not find appealing would be no air conditioning. From what I understand most condos in that area do not have AC anyway. The intention is to leave the slats on the windows and doors open with the ceiling fans on to keep the breeze going through. At night we were fine. The hottest time of the day felt pretty stuffy but you should be on the beach anyway! less

Ideal location, amazing view, great little condo!

Highly recommend this condo! Great spot on Napili Bay with views of the beach, the bay, and amazing sunsets behind Molokai in the distance. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. Loved sitting out on the lanai for breakfast in the morning and with a couple glasses of wine in the evening. Only minor complaint is that the condos here have solid railings on the lanai which impedes the view a bit when you're sitting. It does give you more privacy though. With the fan and the windows there's enough of a breeze to cool the room down at night. It might feel crowded with more than 2-3 people, but it was perfect for my wife and I. The room was very clean and there was a nice "welcome" bag of goodies when we arrived. Key was in a lockbox on the door and we got an email prior to the trip with comprehensive instructions. The kitchen was well stocked with basic appliances, dishes, and utensils. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, and an ice chest that got lots of use. Get some snorkel gear (recommend going to The Snorkel Store for rentals) and you're set! Great spot for snorkeling - not much coral, but fairly shallow and calm with lots of fish, turtles, and even a pod of dolphins one morning. The buildings are a bit old, but don't look run down. There's shared laundry and a BBQ area. Plenty of parking. There's not gardens or yard games or a pool like at some neighboring properties, but with the beach so close we didn't miss them. You can walk to The Seahouse and The Gazebo restaurants. There's a small shopping center a few minutes away with a market. There's also a bus stop right around the corner at Napili Surf with access to Kaanapali and Lahaina. less

Amazing trip to Maui!

This was our first stay in Hawaii. We chose Maui because of the weather and the opportunity to stay right on the beach. We couldn't have been more pleased! Chuck and the condo were so great. We had a welcome bag when we arrived, which was a wonderful and personal touch. Those things mean a lot to me! The condo was dream like! It was perfect for two people and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the location was insane! You have to stay here because it's literally right on the water! We couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in. It was so close to the ocean! You could smell the sea and hear the waves! The first night I couldn't sleep because of the crashing wave sounds... and I was so excited to be that close to the beach!! It was am amazing location, we walked up the small road to a coffee shop every morning. The people that were staying there were all very nice and we had a great time walking 5 steps down to the beach everyday. Oh, and the sand... um ya. Its like silk! I am so excited to write this review because this was our first time to Hawaii and it was everything we imagined it to be! Paradise!!! The condo was clean and updated with things that we had at home, like a nice TV and cable, not that we used it! The bay next to our condo was perfect. The water was crystal clear and warm. There was always room to lay out our towels right below our lanai. It was a picture perfect vacation and we can't wait to go back! We rented condo 208 and it was perfect because it was one from the end but you could see the entire bay from the lanai. The sunsets were incredible! We will be back. Thanks Chuck with aloha Condos for a perfect time in Hawaii!!! less

Awesome location for our Honeymoon

We only stayed for 4 nights and wish we stayed longer...the bay is beautiful and water is crystal clear. The unit #208 was fully stocked had we chosen to cook... We watched turtles swim the bay and took advantage of the restaurants nearby. Its just a quick drive to Lahaina and other "touristy" areas. My wife and I highly recomend Napili Bay Resort. Ps...was looking forawrd to a welcome basket like others had described but didn't get one...still awesome though less

Home away from home!

This felt like coming home again. My husband and I have stayed at Napili Bay Resort repeatedly over the years and are always happy to return. We do love the oceanfront units, #208 was perfect for us, nicely cleaned upon arrival, plenty of towels, comfy mattress and good sheets and pillows. We do remember the outdoor table and chairs being higher previously, not so easy to view, lest you raise your seat with pillows, but no worries, we spent most of our time on the beach and in the water anyway. Thank you Chuck and Debbie for a very lovely welcome basket, what a great treat! Thank you, we will return! less

Ring side seat on the best beach on Maui.

Our stay in Condo 208 at the Napili Bay Resort could not have been better. This is a resort that has been there for years, but has been renovated and kept up so that it is still one of the formost places on a beach that is difficult to surpass. From the time we walked in and was greeted by a welcome basket, we had a wonderful time. The attention to detail by Chuck was incredible. He emailed us several times making sure that we had everything we needed. We had to contact the resident manager once because of a leak that developed under the kitchen sink and he responded right away and took care of the problem. The condo had everything that was needed to make a stay at the beach a delight. I would not hesitate to stay here again. less

Paradise

#208 has everything and more you could possibly want/need! A thoughtful welcome basket with lots of goodies greets you. The condo is clean, has a very comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen needs, homey...The view from the lanai is breathtaking, the beach is right there with access a few steps away. We especially liked all the lighting, with dimmers, in the condo. We appreciated the quiet and friendliness of everyone we met. The grill area is wonderful for cooking and a great spot for socializing. The beach is beautiful for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling (lots of turtles!) and watching unbelievable sunsets. The resident manager and his wife are friendly and helpful and are available to answer questions or offer suggestions. We chose Napili Bay Resort #208 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary - couldn't have made a better decision. The thing we liked least? Leaving! less

Fun time on the bay

Pros: Clean, nice sturdy chairs that can lean back that we took out daily, 2 boogie boards, 2 ceiling fans that helped make up for no aC, an easy walk by beach or road to the wonderful Sea House restaurant, washer/dryer room near parking lot, ice machine, beautiful landscaping with flowers, and a very friendly atmosphere. An easy walk to Merriman's or even the Pineapple Grill (at golf course). Cons: The room overlooks a very popular beach. There are over 100 people outside of room daily. Voices, esp. children's, carry into the room. To "escape" this noise it is good to shut the beach-side slats and turn on an internet music selection. Note to management: for those who stay more than a week it would be good to have more dish soap for hand-washing of dishes, and more t.p. less

Best beach, Best location,

Napili is our favorite beach in Hawaii. This condo is as close as you get to the water. You can go to the beach without leaving the lanai. We loved our stay. Small but cozy and this condo has everything you need. If your looking for maid service, air conditioning, a swimming pool and total peace and quiet it isn't for you, but if you like to go to the beach without the hassle of driving, and if you enjoy people watching and sitting on the lanai at the best beach in Hawaii, this is the perfect location and condo for you. The swimming is fabulous as are the huge turtles. There are several restaurants nearby, a handy store and as one guide says, Napili has more enjoyment per sq. foot than any beach in Hawaii. We will be back! less

Amazing location!

This was our third trip to Maui and the second of what we hope will be many weeks in #208. The ocean is so close that we could see and hear it from the condo, and it takes less than a minute to get from there into the water. What could be better than that?! The condo is so well equipped that packing is so much easier than previous experiences, and great restaurants, a store, and Snorkel Bob's are within easy walking distance. The only disappointment was having to leave. This is a great place to vacation! less

A Great Place to Stay

Condo 208 was perfect for the two of us. It's on the second floor and sits directly above the beach. We spent a lot of time on the small outside patio gazing at Molokai, the beach and the ocean, and slipping in a few pages from our books. The interior of the unit has clean, comfortable furniture and a good kitchen area for fixing full meals (but don't invite 28 folks over for Thanksgiving dinner). The unit included two great beach chairs and two boogie boards that we made use of daily. It's neat, clean and restful. We'd love to be back there again. less

Fantastic Location!

The resort is a small comfortable older place right on the beach. Our room looked right over the beach with a beautiful view of Molokai. The convenience of being on the beach is huge as driving and parking at other beaches gets very crowded at times. We snorkeled, swam and enjoyed the water very much. And also saw several sea turtles! A 2nd wonderful stay!

This was our second time staying at the Napili Bay Resort and it was just as wonderful as the first. We stayed in a 2nd floor unit this time and think we prefer it to the 1st floor from our first visit. The king bed in Unit #208 was very comfortable and everything was well stocked. We had purchased a disposable ice chest prior to arriving at the resort, but even that was provided! The beach chairs they provided with the room were brand new and very comfortable for spending the day on the beach. The welcome basket is always such a nice touch. The only thing I could think could be added to the unit is placemats. We were awoken on our first night from a group of singles loud voices and carrying on in the lanai in the unit next to us, but someone must have reported it the next day because we didn't hear anything the remainder of the nights we were there. Best beach-front location

Pros: wonderful location on one of Maui's best beaches with incredible sunsets ;and whale watching right from the lanai; within easy reach of stores, shops and restaurants; superclean appartment with comfortable king-size bed; well equipped kitchen; very responsive and helpful local manager, Cathy; Cons: Bathroom/vanity somewhat dated; top railing on lanai prevents unobstructive view when seated; although Napili Bay Resort condos are more sought out by couples rather than families, the beach can be extemely busy/noisy from youngsters coming from nearby family-oriented condos especially during school holidays; Would we stay at Napili Bay Resort again? Overall a fine place to stay

No major complaints, everything was well spelled out and organized. The condo had all the basic necessities, and was clean and comfortable It is a studio so it can start to feel a little confined after a few days but a comfortable lanai with a great view made up for any minor shortcomings. One caveat....it is right on the beach and I was originally concerned about people noise but that was never a problem but at night the sound of the surf seems really loud. superb!

My partner and i were lucky enough to spend two nights in condo 208; we left wishing we could have stayed for a month! The place was immaculate, with everything provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, right down to a welcome basket of tropical fruit. The location was fantastic, with our lanai looking out over the beach - we watched magical sunsets from the comfort of our deck chairs but, being on the second floor, had some privacy from other beach users. At night we were lulled to sleep (in a wonderful king-size bed) by the sound of waves. We chose to go out rather than cook, but the kitchen was well stocked enough to allow simple cooking. The reservation / confirmation process was easy and efficient, and the instructions (from a guy named Chuck) on accessing the condo were both clear and easy to follow. Furthermore, the Aloha rentals prices were competitive compared to units managed by others. In short, I highly recommend Napili Bay (though part of me would like to keep it a secret!) We had a relaxing and wonderful stay at Napili Bay Resort.

I researched the internet for days to find a place on the beach, with a balcony looking out at the ocean, where we could listen to the surf at night, and snorkel and swim during the day. The snokeling isn't like the Caribbean, but there were some huge turtles and colorful fish, as well as some coral. We really loved our stay. It was quaint, comfortable, and gave us an escape from the maddening crowd. Napili Bay is magical. I woke one morning, stepped out on the lanai, and saw four rainbows across the bay. The sand was soft and clean. We were comfortable with the breeze that blew through the place, and only needed the ceiling fans to keep us comfortable. You can hear the neighbors a bit on the lanai, but we weren't bothered. I have to say, Kathy, who manages the property, was so amazing and available to be helpful and make our stay comfortable. We had a really great time and would happily go back. The condo is well stocked for cooking. Boogie boards and beach chairs were provided, as well as beach towels. The bathrooms are small but adequate. You really have everything you need. My only negative comment is that I found the colors a little dingy and would like to see a more cheery tone in the decoration. Kathy helped me to get a more colorful spread on the bed, which made a difference. We would recommend this to anyone looking to get close to the ocean (the beach is only steps away) and away from the big hotel tourist experience. It is a short drive to all of that if you want it. We arrived late at night, and it was easy to find our way and get into the condo. It was all set up very nicely. We stayed 9 days and had a great experience. less

Best Honeymoon Spot for us!

Napili Bay is such a beautiful beach. We loved sitting out on the lanai watching the turtles and dolphins. We could not have had a beautiful view. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equiped. Little extra's like a cooler and boogie board made us feel like we were staying with friends instead of a hotel. I would go back every year if I could. Making reservations was very simple over the internet, we had no problems with the rental. The only part of our stay we did not like was not having a maid to clean the room while we were out. That would have been a little more romantic. less

We had a wonderful time at Napili Bay Resort!

All we could have wanted and more! The location is heavenly and our rooms (we occupied 2 rooms while we were there, 207 and 208) were clean, had a full size refrigerator/freezer and reasonably stocked. (coolers, toaster, blender, boogie boards, beach towels and chairs basic spices.) The BBQ is very nice and new. (208 had BBQ equipment but 207 did not.) We loved the balmy breezes and did not mind not having air conditioning at all. The beautiful ocean sounds lulled us to sleep and we were absolutely stunned by the views. The owner of room 208 greeted us with a beautiful fruit basket with a gift beach bag. This was especially nice since we had forgotten to bring one! We met the owner of room 206, (paradisehawaiiancondos.com) and she was personable and even though we were not her customers, she would have gladly helped us if we had needed something. We asked to see her rental unit and if there was anything to say that is a little less glowing it would be that 207 and 208 have not had the bathrooms updated and therefore are not as nice as room 206. We will definitely go again to the Napili Beach Resort but because of the bathrooms we will probably will see if 206 is available first. If not, the others are great too! Oh, for those of you worried about bugs...it's the tropics! Clean up after you eat and keep your garbage in a bag in the freezer like we did. That is all it took for us to keep bugs away. less

Our Honeymoon May 2009

We stayed a week at Napili Bay condos for our Honeymoon. It was our first time at this condo rental location and we just loved and w9ould definatly go back again for another vacation. The views off of the deck in room 2008 were absolutly georgeous and breath taking. There was one down fall no A/C. But with the ocean breeze and windows that definatly helped. Lovely! Nice views, cute little quaint place.

We had a great week, we love just to walk the beach. There are restaurants in walking distance. Place is well taken care of, and management very accommodating. I would definitely go back!

Beautiful Condo!

This was an extremely nice condo. It was in good order and very clean. The view from the balcony was priceless! Gorgeous sunset at night. You could see turtles swimming in the bay and we watched whales from the balconey one morning. You are so close to the water you can hear the waves. We would definatly stay here again. The staff was very nice and the beach was clean and not super busy. Very well maintained, beautiful condo:) less

Truly Paradise

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful beach, fantastic views, great place to stay! There's nothig like sleeping in a comfy bed listing to the ocean right outside. We loved it so much we went back February 2009 but we stayed in unit 109 which doesn't compared to unit 208. Turtles, Dolphins, Whales, Fish, beautiful blue ocean, soft sand and palm tress, what more can you possibly ask for? less

Unhappy in Paradise

Unfortunately the only good things about the condo was it is on the beach and in Hawaii. A very dated, well worn condo. Beds, pillows and bedding not acceptable, uncomfortable and well worn. A much needed reno. Extremely hot with poor air circulations made it uncomfortable day and night. Good news, I understand some other owner's units do have air conditioning and have been nicely refinished. Shop wisely. A few bugs in the kitchen. Overall-pass. There are so many other places to rent. We have now found two other excellent propertys and continue to come to Maui. less

Re-energized

Immediately relaxed best describes our vacation experience at Napili Bay Resort. We have been to Maui before so we know exactly what we want to do when we get there, as little as possible. Coffee on the beach in the morning and cocktails on the beach at sunset met most of our vacation needs. Napili Bay Resort fit the bill perfectly. Everything we needed was there. The location is amazing and the facility is wonderful. There is no doubt when we let we were re- energized and ready to go. less

Island dream home

Our first trip to Maui, and it was everything we'd dreamed: beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. The accommodations were very comfortable, and we felt very much at home right from the start. We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay, that we made reservations for a return trip in November 2008. Sadly, a health emergency made our trip impossible at that time, but as it was too late to cancel, we gave our reservations to my sister and her husband. They enjoyed their stay every bit as much as we did! We are homesick now for our Napili Bay home, and eagarly looking forward to our next trip! less

When you walk into the room, you know you're in your home away from home. My lovely bride and I have been coming here for over 20 years and each time we vacation here we never want to leave. The location is perfect, the room is bright, and the people are friendly. We cooked fantastic meals on the barbecue and in the kitchenette. Thank you, and we look forward to all our future trips. less

Heavenly Getaway

We have stayed here three times and look forward to returning. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the location ideal for a laid-back relaxing vacation. The unit is clean, well equiped and very confortable.Best of all it is beachfront and we never miss watching the sunset from the lanai every evening. We enjoy the comfortable setting and having such great snorkeling right outside the door.Shopping and great restaurants are only a short drive away. This is truly one of our favorite places to vacation. less

My first trip to Maui

The rental itself was fine - clean, great view of the ocean. Disappointment was in two areas that might not bother other people - just me personally. On my 3rd day renters moved in next door who were chain-smokers. The smoke constantly drifted into my condo and lanai and the man had a smoker's cough that was non-stop. I was not able to enjoy the Lanai due to the constant smell of smoke and closing windows/doors in Hawaii makes little sense - I fault myself for not checking beforehand whether it was a "smoke free" condo complex. Perhaps that has changed since I visited. I also was not prepared for the large crowds (and noise) that gathered from morning until late afternoon right beneath my Lanai - I prefer a more secluded atmosphere. Again, this is of no fault to the condo itself - just my personal preference. I wanted to enjoy reading on the Lanai and looking at the ocean but between the smoke and the noise/activity below lanai, this was disappointing to me. I want to reiterate that the condo itself was lovely and well-equipped - just not the "spot" I had hoped for. No fault of owner or condo itself. Thank you for this oppportunity and I would recommend the condo to anyone who doesn't have my personal issues. less

The waves lull you to sleep

The Napili Bay is the only place I stay when visiting Maui. I always get an upstairs location. I love the fact that the sand is right below the lanai and the water is 20 yards away. The sunsets are killer every night. The beach is very local, not touristy like some other beaches. I love cooking in the unit and mingling with others at the private bbqs. There are no elevators or room service or stuffy front desks. It is all do it yourself and retro. The snorkling is awesome and you will always see turtles. I have been here at least 6 times and will continue to come. The Napili Bay is one of the best kept secrets on Maui. Mahalo for all the great memories! Scott and Nancy less

Great private beach

If your trying to get away from the big crowds, and overpriced luxury accommodations, this would be the place. During our stay in Hawaii, we stayed at both a luxury hotel and the relaxed, laid back, private beach, of Napili Bay Resort. It was awesome to walk out the front door to the beach. The snorkeling at Napili Bay was much better than the paid excursion I took. I did have a little problem going to sleep with the ocean waves crashing all night. The windows are louvered with no glass, so the noise could not be stopped. A Tylenol PM took care of that. less

whale watcher

This was out second stay at napili bay, and nothing has changed in paradise. The condo has it all. Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. The beach is one of the best on the island, and even so is relatively unbusy. Ease of services, from snorkel gear two blocks down the road, to grocery and mini mall nearby, and ease to shops in lahaina. We WILL stay here on out next stay on Maui!! less

Fabulous Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed at your lovely condo for the majority of our honeymoon. We spent 6 wonderful nights there and then went to Oahu. And Maui is definately my favorite of the two islands! We loved the convience of the kitchen, frig, and being right on the beach. It was amazing to watch the sunrise and set everyday and just to sit and people watch as well. The ocean waves were calming... We felt very safe there. There were two great places to eat within walking distance--the Gazeebo and the Sea House. We could take a short car ride to Lahaina for other food and stores. It was great!!! We'd love to come again! Thanks again for the fabulous stay. less

Wonderful Honeymoon Destination

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Napili Bay. The location of the unit and the views from the lanai were spectacular. While the room itself could use some updating, it was clean and had everything we needed. We plan to stay there again, soon! less

Perfect for anniversary and honeymoon couples

Loved to watch the sunset from our lanai- scheduled our day's activities around it. Snorkeled from the beach daily. Recommended it to our kids for their honeymoon--and they took us up on the offer. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful view, Beautiful room, amazing service

Having been to Maui several times, I insisted my wife and I stay in a more quiet section of the island, but not too far from Lahaina. We chose Napili Bay and searched for a nice condo with the idea of treating ourselves to an ocean view. I searched for weeks and had a few places bookmarked. I ended up choosing 208 at Napili Bay Resort because it looked perfect. After booking and emailing back and fourth a few times with the owner we were set to stay and had all of our information necessary. Upon arrival, we walked into a nice quiet, modest yet clean and beautiful room. It was very important to me that the room kind of embrace the beauty and aloha spirit of the islands. It most certainly did and after stepping foot onto our Lana'i it exceeded our expectations! Chuck (the owner) had left us a very nice basket of hawaiian goodies with a note congratulating us on our marriage. That thoughtfulness meant a lot to us and made us feel at home right away. The room had wireless internet which was a huge plus. It was a great way to post pictures of our trip as it unfolded to ensue jealousy from our friends and family(hehe). The boogie boards and beach chairs were a plus too! Wey cannot wait to go back to Maui and are looking forward to staying in the same exact room. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and our tastes. Hawaii is not about big hotels, crowded beaches and shopping...it is the most beautiful place on earth. Napili Bay and the Napili Bay Resort both allow you to enjoy the island in comfort and quiet without being too far from the tourist indulgences. less

Home Away From Home

We go back the Napile Bay Resort year after year and consider it our home away from home. We particularly like the upstairs beach front units such as 208 and 209. You can't beat being right on the beach! Chuck and the folks at Aloha Condos really take care of their guests. less

Paradise in a studio

Second story unit on the beautiful Napili Bay beach. Clean and well furnished. Just steps away from your private beach entry and shower. Mornings on the lanai afford views of sea turtles and whales in the channel. Evenings provide unobstructed views of the sunset. Nights are cloaked in the sound of surf on the beach. There is no air conditioning but there also is no glass in the wood-shuttered windows. The sea breezes at night blowing through the condo will cool you enough for sleep in the amazingly comfortable bed. There is a TV that is hard to hear with the sound of the surf echoing in the condo, but who cares? All the entertainment you could want is waiting on the beach sunbathing, in the water snorkeling, or sitting on the lanai mesmerized by the view. Incredibly romantic for two and my idea of paradise. less
