My fiance and I came to Maui to get married and spend our 2 week honeymoon. We had debated about staying in a resort style hotel for one week or a condo for two weeks at the same price and obviously chose the condo. We made the right choice too! We were so so happy with the place! It was nice and clean upon arrival and very inviting. We loved the ocean view most of all, it was amazing to watch the sunsets from the lanai and then wake up every morning to the sound of waves. It was also nice that there was everything else we needed already there, from beach towels, snorkeling stuff, and body boards to trash bags, laundry detergent, and ice trays! It really is the place to come if you want to have an amazing place to come "home" to while in Maui. We can't wait to come back next year for our first wadding anniversary and stay in condo 412!

Kaleialoha is in a great location just north of Lahaina, very easy to find. Times grocery store is within a 10 minute walk, as well as a nice little park that has a great tide pool. The condo itself was very clean, the bed was comfortable. There were a couple of boogy boards in the closet and some noodles, but you may want to rent since this equipment has been there a while. There is an airconditioner in the living room, it may be big enough to cool the whole place, but we didnt need it in early September. We were able to watch seaturtles swimming immediately outside of the lanai, and if the surf had been more calm I am sure we could have swam with them. The pool is fantastically clean, and solar heated, no better way to wind down from a hectic day snorkelling and boogy boarding than to relax in a nice warm pool. The grounds were meticulously maintained. I was never disturbed by loud neighbors. It was a quick drive to most major beaches (max 50 mins to the farthest on the west coast). You do not really need to shop at Costco in Kahului, Times and Safeway in Lahaina are not hugely overpriced. However if you want liquor it pays to go to Costco, they are cheaper than mainland prices, Wayyy cheaper. All in all, awesome, hope to come back every year on my anniversary.

I was so nervous about making reservations through the internet w/o a travel agent but 412 was everything they claimed it would be. Everything went so smoothly. As soon as we walked through the condo and out on the lanai and saw the view, I cried. Hawaii is as beautiful as I had built it up in my mind and we were finally there. I wondered about being on the 4th floor but its great. No one above you and a quick elevator ride down and a short walk to the beach. It was very quiet and private and had all the amenities of home.We immediately felt at home. In fact we have the same drinking glasses at home. The only thing for me that was missing was a tub because I like to lounge in the tub but no biggie and a pizza cutter as we had frozen pizza one night but no problem we used a knife. It has everything. I have short hair but even saw a curling iron. We spent lots of time on the lanai. Loved loved watching the morning rainbows while having our coffee and breakfast. Which by the way was my favorite part of the lovely gift basket...the coffee. Was Ono! Mahalo. Ended up buying more of that. We saw lots of turtles and would love to plan a trip in the winter to see the whales. It was absolutely the most perfect way to spend our 25th anniversary!!!

This condo exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated and has so many personal touches. It truly felt like home. The bed is so comfortable and having a washer/dryer in the unit was so convenient. We were able to see turtles from the bistro table on the lanai. It was nice sitting up high so as to not have to look through the railing! The complex is within walking distance to many stores. We rented bicycles and had a blast. Oh, the condo also has 2 boogie boards in the unit. We bought some at Costco and then later returned them. We didn't use the kitchen very much, we ate out a lot. But it has everything you would need. We swam and read by the pool one afternoon. It is very well maintained and the grounds around it are gorgeous. I was totally okay with it being in the front of the unit as opposed to ocean side. It was sooo hard to say goodbye to this condo unit. I am already planning a return trip!

Wish we'd planned to stay longer. After leaving Maui we spent 4 days on Oahu in hotels and my young adult children wished we'd stayed on Maui in Condo 412. We swam with turtles in front of the condo and watched the sunset from the lanai. We were conveniently close to excellent snorkeling (Honolua) and surfing (Lahaina). The condo had everything we needed and more. If given the opportunity, we would definitely stay here again.

So many things we loved about our stay in this condo: - situated in a less busy area surrounded by low-rise condos and close to shopping, restaurants and anything you need. - the condo complex is extremely well maintained. - the condo is clean, well-maintained, well-stocked and has lovely decor. Looks just like the photos only better. - huge glass doors and wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows leading to lanai with incredibly beautiful view. Loved watching the turtles and listening to the surf. - on the top floor. No one making noise above you. - very quiet complex and condo. - air conditioning is quiet, bed is very comfortable - short walk to beach, nice pool and grounds - local people very friendly and informative - easy to find and check-in is fast and easy - buy delicious, fresh take-out or fresh fish from the Fish Market only a couple of blocks away and enjoy eating on lanai while watching sunset. - relaxing, peaceful, comfortable. We would highly recommend this beautiful condo. We hope to return very soon. Thanks so much to the owners for thoughtfully providing their guests with such a wonderful place to stay on the gorgeous island of Maui.

We were very happy with the quality of the room and the view from the lanai. We like being able to see, online, the exact room we will get upon arrival. Also like that we don't have to check in at the office. Welcome basket was a very nice addition. Only negative is the cost of cleaning added on the room charge. This would have been a better value if we had stayed longer than 3 days. The room was very well stocked with any kitchen and beach items we might need and that added a lot of value to the room. Location was good, quiet and away from crowds, but close to Lahania and Kaanapali. Lanai view was spectacular, we didn't want to leave the room.

The minute you walk through the door you realize that the owner has gone "over the top" in hospitality. Anything you could have thought you needed or wanted is already at your fingertips, including a beautiful welcome basket. Furnishings, artwork, electronics and kitchenware are all high quality. The view from the lanai, whether at sunrise or sunset was incredible. I had a hard time reading because I kept watching the whales breach and the sea turtles brunch. It was a great place for my 81 year old mother to sit and read. The snorkeling wasn't great but one did see a variety of fish and turtles. The swimming pool was on the inland side of the building which was nice and quiet. It is very close to the west Maui airport. This condo is very relaxing and quiet. We really enjoyed the stay. The elevator was great for my mom.

Very clean, well maintained and charming condo. Everything was as advertised online or better. We are not big beach lovers, so we did not miss having access to a nice beach. But, there is a park just up the road, the beach facing lawn is well maintained and the sunning facilities are great. Great whale and sea turtle watching from the lanai. Close to all the important things on the West side of Maui. Friendly and helpful permanent residents. I would come back here in a heart beat and would highly recommend the condo to any and all. Ps the gift basket was a great show of aloha. Mahalo!

The lanai allows you direct access to the most incredible view you can imagine! We watched the sea turtles feeding daily so close you could almost touch them. The whales were putting on a show too! ( Im sure they were doing it just for us). We cant wait to return. The guestbook from previous guests was full of great information from their experiences in Maui. Favorite places to eat, favorite beaches etc. We loved it and cant wait to return.

From the get-go, we knew we had chosen a winner. Open the door and see the ocean straight ahead through the huge glass doors that lead onto the spacious lanai where we ate our breakfast every morning. Space was comfortable, clean, with interesting artwork and a good collection of books and fun gear. Our neighbors were friendly and we met fun people sitting outside by the ocean having our personal happy hour. Interestingly, we saved a lot of money by staying here because the view and accommodations were so delightful that we were more happy to cook and eat on our own porch or with our neighbors than go into town and buy meals and drinks. Extra nice details were the barbecue outside and the basket of goodies when we first got there. Location was perfect--a 10-minute drive to the quaint town of Lahaina, a decent grocery store and coffee house within walking distance, and lots of top notch beaches within a few minutes away.

We stayed at the Kaleialoha Condos, Condo 412, from 06/14 to 06/22. From the moment we walked in, we were absolutely thrilled. We were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket, and a fantastic ocean front, ocean view from the balcony/lanai. Seriously, this place is just 30 feet from the water? Maybe just 25. This one bedroom condo was perfect. Costing less than an "ocean view" studio at nearby hotels, it has a separate bedroom which is a must because my husband loves to watch tv until the wee hours and I don't. :) Every afternoon, giant sea turtles swam by, stopping at the reef rocks right down below in front of our lanai to graze on algae...never saw them while snorkeling but saw them every afternoon when I was sitting on the lanai. There was a "noodle" and a ice chest that came in handy in the closet, some beach/lawn chairs, along w/a few other water toys in the hall closet. Two big beach towels were ready and waiting! The condo was very clean, and felt very spacious with all the mirrors. Free wifi, an ac unit when we needed it, though the breeze from the bedroom windows to out through the patio doors was great most days. The grounds are immaculate. Almost every day someone is out washing off the lounge chairs, tables & chairs for the guests/owners. To top it off, when we were out exploring Maui, I kept referring to the condo as "home". That's how nice this place is. It's cute, comfortable, a great deal, and we would definitely stay there again if we returned to Maui!

The place was immaculate, the view was wonderful, and the grounds were beautiful. No need for us to look any further. We have found the place we plan to return to every time we visit Maui. Where you choose to stay can make or break a vacation, as we learned the hard way when we tried to spend a night at one of the cheaper places in Hana (if $125 + cleaning and tax is cheap). Thank you so much, Kaleialoha #412. for giving us an amazing place to stay, and build an wonderful vacation around. We cant wait for our return!

We had a great time at this condo. Perfect location. Great hosts who helped out a lot. Lynne is very prompt and great at suggestions. The condo has been done up well with the Hawaiian theme and the hosts have thought of everything that renters would need. There are board games, guide books, boogie boards, snorkel gear. The only problem we had was with bugs. There was nothing in the apartment to prevent them since the lanai doors didnt work very well. We were hoping we would have been warned about this so we could be more prepared. Wonderful otherwise.
Manager response:
Thank you for your nice comments. We are sorry to hear that you had an experience with bugs. Maui is a tropical climate and as such our condo complex treats for the occasional unwelcome guest (except for the cute little geckos). I am sorry that you did not contact me or my local contact as we would have been happy to have taken care of this for you. Our goal is to make your experience pleasurable and we are always available to help with anything that isn't to your satisfaction.

We far prefer this condo over the 5 star resort that we previously stayed in. We stayed at the Kaleialoha Condo #412 from Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day) to Feb. 19th. What a great way to spend the romantic holiday. The room was exactly as advertised - complete with sunshine!! When I initially inquired on the location, Lynne (the owner) called me on a Sunday to further describe it and answer any questions. Her personal touch is also evident in the room and didn't go unnoticed. There are items spread throughout the condo that make you feel right at home from books to read, a small sewing kit and even a bottle of peroxide in case you cut yourself. We relaxed on the lanai, drank Mai Tais and watched the whales and turtles. This is a perfect location for a Maui vacation and I am recommending it to all my friends and will gladly stay there again on our next trip to Maui. Thanks a bunch to Lynne and Costas for sharing your "home" with us.

Saw plenty of whales - even some jumping out of the water as well as many turtles on a regular basis. Perfect location - would consider buying a place like this someday. The only bad part which was just our bad luck was the people renting the adjacent unit ignored the no-smoking policy and smoked out on their Lanai - pretty much every morning and evening when we were trying to enjoy the view and fresh air. We were chased off the Lanai a number of times because of this and reporting it to the office seemed to make no difference.

This was our 6th trip to Maui, and I can unequivocally tell you that this unit was the quietest of all of the places we've stayed. It's so pleasant not to hear the garbage trucks at 5:30 a.m.!! Unit 412 was beautifully and tastefully done, but not so fancy that we felt uncomfortable in it. We walked in the door, saw the view, then the Welcome Basket, and immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and at home. Located about 1 mile south of Kahana, and about 5 miles north of Lahaina, it is a very central location to the north-west side of Maui. The sunsets are terrific; the whale-watching is fantastic; the turtle watching is really fun; and the snorkeling is great. What more can a person ask for??? We really have no complaints, only thanks to the owners for having such a comfortable, yet well-appointed condo.

With all the amenities of home, a clean, nicely decorated space, and incredible views you couldn't ask for a better place to stay on Maui. You can watch giant sea turtles eat off the reef right in front of your condo. Local fish market, coffee house, and farmer's market are a short walk each day for fresh products. Chatting it up with the permanent residents while grilling your fish at sunset is a real treat every evening. Then end each day falling asleep to the gentle sound of the waves. It doesn't get any better than this on Maui.

It was really nice to go to sleep and wake up in the morning at the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We are planning to go back to Maui in the near future and would certainly try to book the same place. Aloha and Mahalo, Luc Bergeron

The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything you need. There is a small beach right next to the condo for snorkling or swimming. We will stay here again.

I recently had the great pleasure to spend 6 days in Unit #412 at Kaleialoha Resort. It is a perfectly appointed unit with an expansive oceanview of Lanai and Molokai. I ate every meal on the lanai to the musical accompaniment of the crashing waves and the incredible vistas of bright blue waters, sea turtles and even a pod of dolphins. At night the moon's reflection sparkled in the water below and hundreds of stars twinkled from above, in a way that can only be seen, when one is far enough away from all the city lights where I live. It was just a dream. The condo's decor is charming and it is impeccably maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware and cutlery. And there are even beach chairs, snorkel masks and ice chests available in the unit, for those who wish to make day trips to the beach. I especially appreciated the Natural foods store and Farmer's Market within easy walking distance. There was wonderful produce and delicious baked goods for sale outside on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And inside the Natural Foods store there was a very good selection of organic foods and products, which was better than any I'd ever seen on my many previous trips to Maui. There was some construction going on at the complex during the day, but I did not find the noise to be overwhelming or intrusive, and the workers were all polite and good natured. The condo's owner was very friendly and helpful and keeps the unit in perfect order. I would definately recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a charming environment, spectacular ocean view and lovely Hawaiian ambiance. It's a gem!

We stayed in Maui at the condo resort for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset from our balcony and fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves every night. We could even see the sea turtles in the ocean down below us when looking over the balcony. The unit was nicely decorated and was very clean. It was fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The air conditioning made it very comfortable to be there after coming back from the beach and warm sun. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy pad to stay in during their visit to paradise!

Our stay at Kaleialoha Condo #412 was wonderful. We prefer accommodations where we can set the pace and not compete with a crowd. This condo was perfect for our needs. The full kitchen, in-unit laundry and the farmers market down the street were very convenient and really helped on the whole cost of the vacation. Yet there are lots of restaurants nearby in Kaanapali and Lahaina if you prefer to go out. The view from the lanai was spectacular. We had breakfast and dinner on the lanai every day, watching the whales and sea turtles at play. This also appears to be a good place for moderately experienced surfers to enjoy the waves. Good surf but no where near the pounding waves of the north shore. We will definitely recommend this condo to anyone who prefers a similar type of experience.

Having my morning cuppa on the balcony watching the whales go by - the best way to start the day. You'll love it!

The residents were friendly and we enjoyed visiting with them. The rental was close to so many activities, one did not have to drive far to enjoy them. We hope to return again to Maui, and we will definitely stay at the same place.

Staying in this rental property is like staying in your own home transplanted in paradise. The condo is well stocked with everything you'll need--linens, kitchen utensils, beach chairs, and more. It's amazing what you will see just sitting on the lanai--turtles, the neighboring islands, and sunsets you will remember for a lifetime. Lahaina and Kaanapali are both a short drive down the road when you want to hit the tourist scene. But even after a night out, you will look forward to coming "home." And the first thing you will do on your departure day is think about when you will return.

I have been to Maui numerous times prior to finding this hidden treasure Kalaialoha Unit 412 but this is was by far above and beyond fantastic. The first time was on my 40th and I fell in love with the unit and returned in November 2008. In April the whales were still there and visiable from the lanai. The turltes were also visiable from the lanai. The unit is clean and very hospitable. It's location is key. You can walk to private beaches, or BBQ in the back yard. It's a close distance form Kaanapali and Kapalua and downtown Lahaina. But again, the unit is so nice and the views with the breathtaking sunsets it's hard to leave the unit. I highly recommend Kaleialoha for anyone returning or who have an interest in coming to Maui for the first time. It is heaven on earth. As a world traveler...there is no better place to hike, swim, play tennis/golf, surf or just read a book. I highly recommend Kaleialoha Unit 412. I look forward to returning soon!

This would have been a better value if we had stayed longer than 3 days. The room was very well stocked with any kitchen and beach items we might need and that added a lot of value to the room.

I loved my stay at this very cute and well equipped condo. Hearing the waves while we slept was very relaxing.

Our recent trip to Maui, Oct. 10 - Oct. 17 was one of our best yet. We've stayed in unit 412 many times and it's always a pleasure.

Aloha! We are watching our slide show from our trip Sept.29-Oct.9 2009. It is almost as beautiful as seeing it all for the first time. Lynn & Costa could not have better "hosts". The condo was everything we read and more. We loved the gift basket. The details in decorating and the cleanliness of the condo could not be topped by anyone! The staff at Kaleialoha Resort was friendly and ready to help us in any way possible. Getting together at sunset with some of the permanent residents was great. We got so many great "tips" that really helped us experience Maui to the fullest. Thanks guys!!! We miss you already. The Feast at LeLe was unbelievable! It HAS to be the best luau on Maui. The road to Hana was an adventure (would spend the night in Hana if we did it again). Bringing fresh fish and fruit/vegetables back to the condo from the Farmer's market for dinner made it truly feel like "home". This was our 44th anniversary and it surely was the best one so far! We hope to return to Maui some day (God willing) and Condo 412 is where we want to be. If we have to find a down-side; it would be not enough days; until we meet again, Mahalo to you all!!!

My wife and I stayed at 412 and although there was some construction going, we had a FABULOUS stay. This condo met all our needs and had a spectacular view! We tanned, swam in the back and were close to Lahaina (best part of the Island. The condo itself was clean, well kept and we appreciated everything the owners went to make us feel welcome! Well, this review may not contain much or if any negativity because it was simply a great stay and let me and my new wife enjoy our honeymoon together without breaking the bank! THANKS!

We had a wonderful time in Maui. The temperature was perfect and the beaches beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay at the condo in Lahaina; we had a chance to see turtles and the place was great. It was really nice to go to sleep and wake up in the morning at the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We are planning to go back to Maui in the near future and would certainly try to book the same place. Aloha and Mahalo, Luc Bergeron

We found the condo to be very comfortable. It is perfect for 2 people. Right on the beach, we were visited by sea turtles and had a front row seat for spectacular sunsets.

This was absolutely the best place I've stayed in a very long time! From the time I opened the door, it felt like home. From the oh-so-comfortable bed, to the well furnished kitchen, and the rest of the furnishings - all superb. You add in the view and it was nothing less than spectacular. Having my morning cuppa on the balcony watching the whales go by - the best way to start the day. You'll love it!

This property was perfect for our week in Mid February. The Unit was clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies. The Lanai was our favorite place. We enjoyed all the wonderful views, sunsets, turtles, whales etc. The grounds and building was also clean and well maintained. It was all so relaxing and quiet.

This is a great condo. It's on the top floor, and the views off the lanai are stunning. The islands of Molokai and Lanai are incredible. This truly is an oceanside condo. The crashing waves will lull you to sleep every night. The condo is very nicely furnished and is perfect for 2 people. The beach is only steps away from the condo, and there is free parking in front. This was our first visit to Maui, and we would definitely rent this condo again.
