We had never been to Hawaii before and didn't know what to expect. We got on the plane to return home and both felt, for the first time in our lives, that we didn't want to leave. Unit 209 was absolutely perfect: beautiful welcome basket, glorious view only steps from the ocean, clean, well equipt, beautifully decorated...and an extremely good value. We are even considering buying a condo on Maui but would always compare a new purchase to #209. The complex was beautifully maintained and very quiet. Appreciated the private parking space also.

We greatly enjoyed the condo. The view was spectacular; we could hear the waves breaking in the bedroom all night long. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great; we shopped at the local farmers' market and fish store. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to make simple dinners. We would definitely rent there again.

This was the first trip my wife and i have taken after getting married. The condo was just perfect for us, nice and clean with everything you need for a week stay. After a hectic day for sightseeing, you can kick back and relax in the lanai watching the sunset or the waves. There was also surfers fighting the waves. We saw quite a few whales in the mornings quite close.

We were pleasantly surprised by the well appointed condo and its spectacular view! The condo is nicely decorated and had everything we need. We enjoyed waking up every morning and have our coffee on the balcony while watching whales out in the ocean. We loved the location as it is not too far from downtown Lahaina, and close to the farmer's market and grocery store. I highly recommend this unit to anyone heading to Maui!

The condo was very clean and well resourced(no Ac but that didn't trouble us). I was a bit worried it might be noisy with the bedroom on the road side of the complex but this was not a problem at all. It is quite dark in the bedroom so it was necessary to have the light on all the time. Liked the fact that there was no beach directly in front of the condo so people couldn't walk past - beach to one side was perfectly adequate for a swim. The beaches at Napili Bay or at Kaanapali are much nicer but also have hordes of people. Good location for visiting the sights of Maui. Overall I would definitely recommend this unit.
Decent value

Condo is very nice except no AC. Also there was no deadbolt on the front door, so security was lacking. They were working on the concrete so there was a lot of dust and you have to leave the windows open because there is no AC. The light outside the BR window stays on so it is not very dark when you're tryimg to sleep.
Manager response:
Thank you for your honest comments.
A vacation owner's nightmare is having guests in your condo while construction is in process. Because the work never seems to be performed as it is scheduled, guests sometimes get affected. I apologize that you had to endure the dust and noise while they repaved the walkway.
Your comments on the lighting and dead bolt are excellent and I will look to correct both of those issues.
As for air conditioning, I am not a personal fan of AC and prefer opening doors and windows and using fans, so have not had AC installed in my unit. I have found there are few times during the year AC is necessary. However, I understand that is a matter of personal preference.
All the best to you and hope you return to Maui again.

This unit was awesome. Very clean and nicely decorated. Everything was super. I especially enjoyed my daily ritual of a nice glass of local wine on the balcony for sunset. The views were beautiful! There was some construction going on during our stay, but it wasn't that much of an inconvenience. We didn't need to be sleeping in past 9am anyway. But it would have been nice to know that it was going on before we arrived. Chuck was very informative and the detailed communication via email was easy to understand and very thorough. Location was nice. I liked that we were away from the tourists. It was more intimate and the locals were fantastic. Ohana Taco stand was a great find and inexpensive eats for a quiet and relaxing night in. We didn't receive a welcome package. I was a bit disappointed about that. Maybe with the economy being down they don't do that anymore. All in all, our stay was awesome and I would rent this unit out again the next time in Maui. Thanks

Perfect location. Really close to the only brewhouse on the island, MAUI BREWING CO! About the only thing I wished for since there were no tropical breezes when we were there was the A/C .... but we got used to it. Also, since our kids are getting bigger, we need the 2nd bedroom next time! The unit was clean and well-equipped. Parking spaces were a little tight but we managed! We would definitely book again. We decided to stay a few extra days longer than we planned to be @ our timeshare, and could not get the extension at our place. The picture don't do it justice. It had everything that we needed. An amazing view from the lanai where we watched the whales, living area had very comfortable furniture, so comfy I spent some evenings just laying on the couch with the sliders open just listen to the waves. The king bed is oo comfy with it's top nothch sheets and beautiful quilt. All that you needed was provided, Cable, Internet, beach chairs washer dryer, right down to a new bag of ice in the freezer!!! It was tastfully updated and very very clean!!! It was so great we wished we would have stayed there for our entire visit!!! Highly recommended!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Kaleialoha Condos in May of 2009. It is a small, quiet complex and located close to Kaanapali. I stayed in #209 which was very nicely decorated and had a comfortable bed, full kitchen, shower/tub, and a flat screen tv in the living room. It does not have AC but with the fans, windows and sliding glass door open, its not needed. When you step out onto the balcony, there is a nice table and chairs. Down below is a grass area and then the wide blue ocean. You can see sea turtles popping their heads up and watch the sunsets from your balcony or the grass area. There really isn't a beach and its not the best swimming area but the great beaches are close by. The health food store and a small farmers market are right down the street...then a little farther down is a regular grocery store. If I stayed on the west shore again, I would stay in this condo unit.
Great views, nicely decorated

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. The address is Lahaina, but the condo is really much closer to Napili Bay. The location is ideal, and the setting is gorgeous. Not only was the condo beautifully decorated and completely upgraded, but every detail to make our stay comfortable was thought of - the owner supplied beach chairs and a cooler in the bedroom closet, and of course there was Kona coffee in the kitchen. Although the interior of the condo was beutiful, the view of the ocean from the lanai was the best part; you could see Molokai and Lanai right from the porch! When you were ready for some sun, it was a very short walk out to the lawn and patio with beach chairs that sits right above the ocean wall. There is small strip of beach in front of the condo, but it is a bit rocky, so you have to be careful about swimming there; however, this doesn't take away from the experience at all, and we were more than satisfied with our stay. We are missing the sounds of the ocean lulling us to sleep each night and can't wait to return.

We spent three weeks in this nice condo in Feb 2009. The unit itself is just terrific - comfortable, well-appointed and decorated and enjoying fantastic views from the deck of both Lanai and Molokai (and many passing whales). The building is nicely located in Western Maui about 5 miles north of Lahaina and 5 miles south of Kapalua. Shopping, food, etc., in ample and within walking distance and the bike riding to the north is really quite good. The only thing that would have improved the experience would be deck furniture that was a little more comfortable. But this place is really very, very nice and will not disappoint in any way.

This was a wonderful condo! We loved the area, the beautiful view, the awesome accomodations. It was great to come "home" after a day of snorkeling! The parking was perfect, the linens were fresh and clean. The condo was decorated in true island decor. The view was FANTASTIC!! We watched the whales every morning during breakfast. We took advantage of the BBQ and enjoyed everything. Thank you for a great vacation get away!
