This is our second stay at this condo. We came back to the same place because it was perfect the first time. The second time didn't disappoint. It's affordable, a perfect location and the people in the condos around you are super nice. What a wonderful experience. What could be better than be right on the ocean watching sea turtles and whales? We cannot possibly tell you the benefits of this condo. It's a splendid experience and we highly recommend staying here.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Kaleialoha #105. The condo was exactly as represented in the listing (loved the videos - we knew what to expect and it delivered). The location was convenient (close to the amenities of Ka'anapali, without being in Ka'anapali) and the Lahaina harbor was only about 10 minutes away. The green sea turtles in the ocean just outside the condo were a real treat. Loved the sound of the waves - we ate breakfast on the lanai every day. One of the neighbors blew the conch shell so everyone would come outside to watch the sunset every day - what a treat! Having the washer/dryer in the unit was a big plus. Stop at Costco (next to the airport) when you arrive to stock up on food, aloha shirts, discounted dinner cruises, and macadamia nut gifts (just don't tell your friends you brought their presents at Costco). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast every day and dinner when we didn't feel like going out.

The farmers market was on a walking distance, so we could stock up the fridge with all fresh veggies and fruits, the beach was just steps away, resort swimming pool was around the corner, and the condo location was perfect for our outdoor adventures. We could not expect more. Thank you! Mahalo!

Recently stayed here with my family and it was lovely! The condo has a beautiful view and most nights we ate dinner outside on the patio watching the sunset (amazing)! Last year we came to Maui and stayed in an expensive resort (paid 3x as much) and never got a view even close to this. Plus for people who love to snorkel, there is a small (almost private) beach right in front of the condo with a bunch of rocks and the turtles come up everyday to swim there and eat off the rocks. Beautiful place - we all had a lovely time! Thank you again!!!

Turtles will greet you with a heads up in the morning. Wonderful, quiet clientele. It would be nice if they moved the smoking area which is just to the left of the condo by the waters edge to the front of the condo so the smoke doesn't blow into the condo...

The condo size and appointments are absolutely wonderful, but don't attempt to move a beach-side lounge chair onto the the ground-level lanai as the on-site "lounge chair monitor" takes a count each day. Not being one who likes to be in public view, I moved one of the lounges onto our lanai, but despite the maximum number of people ever using the 18 chairs on a daily basis, having one on our lanai was unacceptable and removed by the manager :( Other than that and a closure of the swimming pool for 1-1/2 days for maintenance...our stay was delightful and we will return.

A short drive to Front Street in Lahaina. We went to the Old Lahaina Luau, had cocktails at The Mixed Plate next door before the show. Saw Cirque Polynesia. Also, went to the Kupanaha Magic show dinner theater at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. The condo was comfortable and well equipped and it was great having a washer/dryer in the unit. Loved the large shower. The only con was that it got a bit warm in the unit a few times. The fans were helpful. Too bad the association didn't allow screen doors to be put on the front doors. When the front door is open a beautiful breeze blows through the unit. :-) We experienced our own little slice of heaven for 2 weeks. Mahalo, Cheri!

Nice clean first floor condo opens to grassy area to seawall. Genereally pretty quiet, wxcept for the roar of the waves. Access via steps to beach close by; the beach here is submerged during high tide. Ocean bottom is sandy with rocks protruding, and more rocks offshore for snorkeling. Living room/kitchen is bright and cheery. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped, and there were also a few basic spices and coffee items, paper goods, and the like. Good place to cook you own meals (also Bbqs close by). Bedroom is kind of dark, since windows there open to enclosed entry area. About a mile to convenient supermarket, and strip mall type restaurants close by. Not luxurious, but for the price, excellent location, and nice unit, it's a great value.

When we go to Hawaii we want to spend as little time indoors as possible. This condo was a great place to stay for people who are not interested in fancy pants hotels. On the minus side it could use an air conditioning unit for the hotter months and the internet was out. There was no cleaning spray for the counters in the kitchen and insufficient soap in the bathroom for the length of our stay. Finally, the shades on the bedroom window were basically homemade, kept falling down and allowed the obnoxious outdoor passage lighting to beam in at night and keep us awake.

We had the condo for a week. We appreciated the nice welcome basket and the location facing the ocean was great. We literally watched whales jumping out of the ocean right from the patio. We also saw sea turtles come right up to the sea wall. The ground floor location had some access advantages, but was also often noisy with people walking right in front of you and playing catch, etc. in a way that really invaded our perceived space. Nothing that could really be helped. The condo has a nice (though out-dated) kitchen, although some of the teflon pans have deep scratches that are not healthy & should really be replaced. The furniture inside & out was all pretty out-dated and well worn. The condo comes with internet, but we never did get a connection to it, which was a disappointment. The bedroom was small, but we thought the bed was comfortable and storage was adequate for our needs. The furniture in the living area was just not very comfortable - fortunately, we did not spend that much time there. The TV was pretty old and small - which normally would not be that big of an issue since we like to be elsewhere most of the time, but it was the NCAA basketball tournament. We were provided a motion detector, which made us concerned for security, and we discovered it was so sensitive it was an annoyance & we didn't use it - just locked up at night. With noise around us on the lawn, it was just as well. Proximity to Lahaina was good - some nice restaurants and beaches are nearby. We have been to Maui many times, so it goes without saying that Maui is a truly wonderful place, and this is a very nice part of the island to stay. I suspect next time we would stay elsewhere in Maui, although overall, we did have a pleasant time here.

The convenience of being on the first floor was nice. We loved unit 105. Its location was great and the others at the location were very friendly. It brought back fond memories of my stay on the same highway as a kid nearly 40 years earlier. The views every day and sunsets every night were stunning. The first floor location and ability to walk right out onto the lawn and overlook the shore made this condo functionally much larger than its actual footprint. Both adults and both kids (boys 8 and 2) thought it was terrific. The wifi access was a bit odd, with my laptop only occasionally getting a signal, but that was very minor. (After all, if you're on your laptop much with a view like that of 105, you're nuts!)

This unit is tastefully decorated and nicely furnished. However, upon awaking our first morning we were puzzled to see metal poles standing immediately outside the lanai door. Then upon further inspection tools, paint buckets, air compressors, and much more were strewn around the lanai. Since we are travling with a 2 year old this immediately meant that the lanai area was dangerous. At 8 AM a work crew showed up and closed off our access to the ocean-- both from the unit and the steps around the building-so much for all of the promises of ocean and 30 steps to the waves. After telephoning the owner we were immediately offered a 50% discount or the option to move out...considering that a day had already been wasted and we had already settled into the unit and that we had not traveled to Maui to spend all of our time searching for a new unit or packing and unpacking several times. Of course the owner, being an attorney and real estate broker, knew that she was in trouble. There is no excuse for not knowing what is happening at your own unit, especially since the construction had been continuing for several weeks. There are many other units in the same area as well as better locations in Kihei. In general the Big Island has much more to offer compared to Maui.
Manager response:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the work being done on the property. We were under the impression that you were quite satisfied with our offer of a half-price stay and would certainly have helped you find an alternate accommodation. The fact is that property management did not notify us of this project as they normally do. Had we been aware that work was to take place, we would have notified you immediately and made every effort to accommodate you.

The manager had keys waiting for us on arrival. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to learn that the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures! We had to extend our stay 1 day early and Cheri could not have been more accommodating. Everyone was friendly, made us feel welcome even thoughwe were short term, and recommended things to do and places to eat. I wanted to see whales and sea turtles and we were told to just look out at the water. We saw more whales (at a distance) than we did later on a whale watching boat trip. This cozy unit made our stay in Maui pleasant. As new parents, it was great to feel like we were enjoying it all (whales and Maui sunsets from the lanai or even the couch!) even though we needed to stay close to 'home' much of the time. The parking lot is small so it was so easy to tote baby and gear to and from the condo. We appreciated the nearby amenities as well such as a kids' playpark and supermarket. Having laundry right in the unit was very handy and a feature we will seek out at other destinations. The kitchen was so well-stocked that we even ended up making baby food there (the selection of 'bought' food wasn't great, even at Wal-Mart). Since the whole focus of this review has been the family-friendliness of Unit 105, I will mention that we did have enough room in the bedroom for a crib (great baby rentals on Maui!) but there is no bath tub, only a shower. Lastly, if you do go, make sure to take your garbage out frequently, in just a few days, creepy crawlies will come to visit. We felt so safe letting our little guy play because it's a ground-floor unit. The location is also very handy for setting out for other beaches in the area. We especially recommend taking a snorkel set out to Kahana Bay -the fish were fantastic! :-)

The people we met in the complex were most helpful and friendly. This was our first trip to Maui and we would highly recommend this unit. We just wish we were able to spend more time their, but maybe next time.

I found this rental on the VRBO website and e-mailed the owner for additional info. She responded to my query promptly and helpfully. Everything about check-in went smoothly. The unit itself was about the best located in the condo. Oceanside and very quiet. The unit itself was spotless and had every amenity we needed. Particulary enjoyed swimming with the resident turtle about 50 feet directly in front of condo. Very handy to all services. Pool was always clean and hardly used. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and look forward to again enjoying our next holiday there.

We stayed here for a week in April 2008, our first time to Maui and the first time not staying in a hotel, this couldn't have been a better experience! The condo (105) was just as described, the pictures found on their website (www.alohacondos.com) are exactly what it looked like and we really enjoyed being on the ground floor, just a short skip to the lawn chairs and BBQ. We bought groceries and cooked most of the time we stayed and this was an added plus, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots & pans, dishes, silverware, everything we needed and felt right at home. The condo isn't a part of the Kaleialoha Resort but the staff couldn't have been more helpful in answering questions and giving us information about best places to eat and visit (and so were the other tenants and homeowners). There's no beach directly in front of the resort but made no difference, the snorkeling was good, we had sea turtles not more then 5 feet away and it's a short walk to Black Beach. I highly recommend Aloha Condos and Unit 105, everything was perfect and we're planning another trip this year, will definetly stay here.

Really nice owner, gift basket, wonderful neighbors nightly gatherings to watch the sunset. This unit is right on the patio area. Great views of the ocean but limited privacy. Bed was fairly comfortable. The only negative would be the cockroaches. There were lots of them. This is a common problem on the islands. I would maybe consider this unit again but I would make it a point of seeing where the buildings were at with infestations. Again, it happens everywhere over there.

What a wonderful restful holiday we had at Kaleialoha Resort #105. The room was immaculate and the Aloha basket was very thoughtful. The well stocked condo had everything you could need, including beach chairs, Boogie Board and something they didn't advertise, a private washer and dryer. The Lanai is about 15 steps to the ocean, where every day we would watch the turtles feeding and the whales breaching. There is a small beach (went swimming there 3 times) but its probably more accessible in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The back off the Lanai is well grassed and lots of lounge chairs for sunning. If you are looking for parties and night life in you place of residence, this is not the place for you. If however you are looking for a quiet well kept little peace of heaven to recharge your batteries, this would be a great place for you to go. For us, it was just a wonderful restful 3 weeks. By the way, the golfing was fabulous. Aloha.

This is paradise. Only 25 feet to the lounge chairs to relax in the sun. A few feet away are the stairs to the sand and water. A first floor condo is the only way to live. I've stayed twice at Kaleialoha 105 and hopefully again in Sept 2009. The pool is solar and its wonderful. The bbq area is wonderful. The guests and residences are very friendly. A short drive to Lahaina for excellent tacos and happy hour at the Blue Lagoon. Longs Drugs store is the place to purchase beverages when you run out. Did I tell you about the turtles, hootie the seal and dolphins? Big/huge turtles swim right up to the waters edge, hottie swims by occasionaly and we've seen dolphins in the distance. I recommend this unit 1000%. Have a grrrreat time.

We enjoyed everything about this condo, from the birds visiting on the lanai to the front row seat on the ocean (which crashed over the wall one night - exhilerating!) to the exclusive view, all the amenities and an affordable price. We consider it our home away from home and long to return one day. From our lawn chair perch with feet up on the wall we watched the turtles and whales and soaked the sun and were lulled by the waves and the soft breeze. You will love this place, but I'm hesitant to say so, because the schedule will fill.

We recently enjoyed a week long stay in unit 412. Instantly your stress levels lower, as you look out on the the lanai and see the view. Seeing the waves crashing on the rocks below, the many turtles hanging out just below the unit, the smells of fresh flowers and people barbecuing. Relaxation! Although there is no beach in front of the place, we did swim and snorkel just a few steps to the south where there is a small beach where you can enter the water. The unit was comfortable, quiet, and convenient to stores and great places to eat out. The pool was refreshing and warm. Unit has its own parking spot which can be a bit tight if others do not park well next to you. We had an amazing stay in unit 412!

My husband and I recently got home from our annual trip to Hawaii. Our last week was spent on Maui at Kaleialoha 412. We have stayed at various rental condos on previous trips to Maui. All of them have been very comfortable and all have been oceanfront, but Kaleialoha 412 is the best! It is "no ka oi" as they say in Hawaii; we both feel that we've finally found our Maui home away from home and already have our reservations for next year. From the moment we first entered this unit, we were charmed by the beautiful decor and all the amenities, not to mention the gorgeous view! And the owners had left us a lovely welcome package on the kitchen counter - what a very warm and gracious gesture! The unit was stocked with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was fully equipped and included a garbage disposal and dishwasher. The bedroom has a super-comfortable king-size bed, and we loved hearing the ocean in the background as we went to sleep each night. The living room has a DVD player and a CD player in addition to a large-screen TV. The owners even have a collection of Cd's there for their guests to enjoy. In the storage closet they have provided lots of beach gear - beach chairs, mats, folding camp chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc. They've really thought of everything! Our favorite place in the condo was on the lanai watching the activity on the water - catamarans, surfers, paddleboarders, snorkelers, etc. And a special treat was watching the green sea turtles swimming around the rocky reef just offshore - turtles in the morning with coffee, turtles in the evening with dinner and turtles even late at night. The water is so incredibly clear that we could easily see them by moonlight. And the sunsets were incredible - a blaze of color every evening in the channel between Molokai and Lanai! The Kaleialoha property itself is very attractive and well-maintained and is in a perfect location - close to Lahaina, but in the quiet town of Honokawai.

We had a first rate experience with every aspect of renting this condo--from the booking, the check-in, to the departure. Both Lynne and Chuck were very helpful and accommodating. The condo itself was very nicely appointed: tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, good closet space, ceiling fans and air conditioner, great counter space in bathroom, books, games, beach gear, coolers, well-stocked kitchen, and impeccably clean overall. We appreciated the welcome basket upon arrival and thought it was a nice touch! However, the most spectacular aspect of this condo is the unbelievable view and close proximity to the ocean. It took our breath away when we first entered! We especially enjoyed watching the whales and resident turtles from our lanai! We were also impressed with how nicely the grounds and lounge chairs were kept. We are already hoping to plan a return trip to Maui and Kaleialoha condo #412 will be our condo of choice!

We are just finishing a two week stay at Kaleialoha #412. The time went by so quickly! The Condo is centrally located with Kapalua, Kaanapali and Lahaina all with a 10 minute drive. The condo is nicely equipped with all the cooking utensils you would need, a nice King size bed, lots of beach equipment (chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, coolers, beach towels, etc). Nice washer and dryer in the unit. Unit has aC but you will likely not need it. Lanai has nice furniture and absolutely killer views. No sandy beach in front, altho there is a small one adjacent to the property. Regular visits by turtles in front of the condo and lots of whales this time of year (March). They also do a Pupu party on Monday night. Great beaches nearby...be sure to try Kapaula beach. Decent amount of parking, washrooms and showers, some shade and lots of good snorkeling, Many restaurants to choose from in the area as well as a farmers market within walking distance. Be sure to try Java Jazz (in strip mall next to Snorkel Bobs) for dinner (also serves Breakfast and Lunch). Great food, eclectic atmosphere and evening entertainment. We rented direct from the owner on www.vrbo.com...you may want to try that as I believe you will get a better deal than renting from the condo complex

Was a great condo. We have stayed at the Kaleialoha many times. This was the easiest check in and everything ran very smoothly. The condo is very clean and great quality. If there was one thing I can think of that needed changing is the pots and pans etc. We love to cook and found them to be very low quality. I did not find a kettle and so had to boil water in the aluminum pots. I also thought the forks, knives etc could be a higher quality. It seems petty, but someone who loves to cook will notice this as well. Otherwise, all was perfect!

Not only was the condo itself excellent, but the location could not have been better. We were close enough to some great beaches (e.g., Ka'anapli, Napili) that we could enjoy them whenever we wanted, but just far enough removed from the big hotels/resorts that we didn't feel suffocated by people. This is my second stay in 412, first was last year for my honeymoon. This condo is in a nice location, its quiet and within walking distance to a grocery store, and a great little beach park. This year I was able to swim within feet of sea turtles twice! At one point there were seven sea turtles swimming right out back, amazing! You are always greeted with a spotlessly cleaned condo, and a nice welcome basket. I am sure I will return here many more times. I do have one complaint though, the internet is quite bad. I could not share any pictures with my family and friends on Facebook, and had difficulty researching activities online because either the connection was too slow, or I think the more likely culprit the wireless router needs to be replaced. The owners have even placed a sign next to it saying to unplug it and restart if you have issues. I had to do that several times a day. That is annoying, a router is only about $75, just replace it. Otherwise, happy as usual, like I said, I will definitely be back!
Manager response:
I agree slow internet is very frustrating. I work for Apple so am used to the latest and greatest. This is a common complaint we hear from friends/condo owners on Maui and have been told this is due to the fact we are on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. That being said we take all our guest feedback seriously and have replaced both the cable modem and the router. I see some improvement but definitely not what we get on the Mainland. Warmest alohas Ryan...hope you will be back soon!

Kaleialoha is in a great location just north of Lahaina, very easy to find. Times grocery store is within a 10 minute walk, as well as a nice little park that has a great tide pool. The condo itself was very clean, the bed was comfortable. There were a couple of boogy boards in the closet and some noodles, but you may want to rent since this equipment has been there a while. There is an airconditioner in the living room, it may be big enough to cool the whole place, but we didnt need it in early September. We were able to watch seaturtles swimming immediately outside of the lanai, and if the surf had been more calm I am sure we could have swam with them. The pool is fantastically clean, and solar heated, no better way to wind down from a hectic day snorkelling and boogy boarding than to relax in a nice warm pool. The grounds were meticulously maintained. I was never disturbed by loud neighbors. It was a quick drive to most major beaches (max 50 mins to the farthest on the west coast). You do not really need to shop at Costco in Kahului, Times and Safeway in Lahaina are not hugely overpriced. However if you want liquor it pays to go to Costco, they are cheaper than mainland prices, Wayyy cheaper. All in all, awesome, hope to come back every year on my anniversary.

It was very quiet and private and had all the amenities of home.We immediately felt at home. In fact we have the same drinking glasses at home. The only thing for me that was missing was a tub because I like to lounge in the tub but no biggie and a pizza cutter as we had frozen pizza one night but no problem we used a knife. It has everything. I have short hair but even saw a curling iron. We spent lots of time on the lanai. Loved loved watching the morning rainbows while having our coffee and breakfast. Which by the way was my favorite part of the lovely gift basket...the coffee. Was Ono! Mahalo. Ended up buying more of that. Also like that we don't have to check in at the office. Welcome basket was a very nice addition. Only negative is the cost of cleaning added on the room charge. This would have been a better value if we had stayed longer than 3 days. The room was very well stocked with any kitchen and beach items we might need and that added a lot of value to the room. Location was good, quiet and away from crowds, but close to Lahania and Kaanapali. Lanai view was spectacular, we didn't want to leave the room.

The minute you walk through the door you realize that the owner has gone "over the top" in hospitality. Anything you could have thought you needed or wanted is already at your fingertips, including a beautiful welcome basket. Furnishings, artwork, electronics and kitchenware are all high quality. The view from the lanai, whether at sunrise or sunset was incredible. I had a hard time reading because I kept watching the whales breach and the sea turtles brunch. It was a great place for my 81 year old mother to sit and read. The snorkeling wasn't great but one did see a variety of fish and turtles. The swimming pool was on the inland side of the building which was nice and quiet. It is very close to the west Maui airport. This condo is very relaxing and quiet. We really enjoyed the stay. The elevator was great for my mom.

Very clean, well maintained and charming condo. Everything was as advertised online or better. We are not big beach lovers, so we did not miss having access to a nice beach. But, there is a park just up the road, the beach facing lawn is well maintained and the sunning facilities are great. Great whale and sea turtle watching from the lanai. Close to all the important things on the West side of Maui. Friendly and helpful permanent residents. I would come back here in a heart beat and would highly recommend the condo to any and all. Ps the gift basket was a great show of aloha. Mahalo!

The decor was beautiful and very tropical... and most important the furniture was very comfortable. Im not sure Ive ever slept in a more comfortable bed! The lanai allows you direct access to the most incredible view you can imagine! We watched the sea turtles feeding daily so close you could almost touch them. The whales were putting on a show too! ( Im sure they were doing it just for us). We cant wait to return. The guestbook from previous guests was full of great information from their experiences in Maui. Favorite places to eat, favorite beaches etc. We loved it and cant wait to return.

From the get-go, we knew we had chosen a winner. Open the door and see the ocean straight ahead through the huge glass doors that lead onto the spacious lanai where we ate our breakfast every morning. Space was comfortable, clean, with interesting artwork and a good collection of books and fun gear. Our neighbors were friendly and we met fun people sitting outside by the ocean having our personal happy hour. Interestingly, we saved a lot of money by staying here because the view and accommodations were so delightful that we were more happy to cook and eat on our own porch or with our neighbors than go into town and buy meals and drinks. Extra nice details were the barbecue outside and the basket of goodies when we first got there. Location was perfect--a 10-minute drive to the quaint town of Lahaina, a decent grocery store and coffee house within walking distance, and lots of top notch beaches within a few minutes away.

We stayed at the Kaleialoha Condos, Condo 412, from 06/14 to 06/22. From the moment we walked in, we were absolutely thrilled. We were greeted with a thoughtful welcome basket, and a fantastic ocean front, ocean view from the balcony/lanai. Seriously, this place is just 30 feet from the water? Maybe just 25. This one bedroom condo was perfect. Costing less than an "ocean view" studio at nearby hotels, it has a separate bedroom which is a must because my husband loves to watch tv until the wee hours and I don't. :) Every afternoon, giant sea turtles swam by, stopping at the reef rocks right down below in front of our lanai to graze on algae...never saw them while snorkeling but saw them every afternoon when I was sitting on the lanai. There was a "noodle" and a ice chest that came in handy in the closet, some beach/lawn chairs, along w/a few other water toys in the hall closet. Two big beach towels were ready and waiting! The condo was very clean, and felt very spacious with all the mirrors. Free wifi, an ac unit when we needed it, though the breeze from the bedroom windows to out through the patio doors was great most days. The grounds are immaculate. Almost every day someone is out washing off the lounge chairs, tables & chairs for the guests/owners. To top it off, when we were out exploring Maui, I kept referring to the condo as "home". That's how nice this place is. It's cute, comfortable, a great deal, and we would definitely stay there again if we returned to Maui!

Where you choose to stay can make or break a vacation, as we learned the hard way when we tried to spend a night at one of the cheaper places in Hana (if $125 + cleaning and tax is cheap). Thank you so much, Kaleialoha #412. for giving us an amazing place to stay, and build an wonderful vacation around. We cant wait for our return!

The condo has been done up well with the Hawaiian theme and the hosts have thought of everything that renters would need. There are board games, guide books, boogie boards, snorkel gear. The only problem we had was with bugs. There was nothing in the apartment to prevent them since the lanai doors didnt work very well. We were hoping we would have been warned about this so we could be more prepared. Wonderful otherwise.
Manager response:
Thank you for your nice comments. We are sorry to hear that you had an experience with bugs. Maui is a tropical climate and as such our condo complex treats for the occasional unwelcome guest (except for the cute little geckos). I am sorry that you did not contact me or my local contact as we would have been happy to have taken care of this for you. We stayed at the Kaleialoha Condo #412 from Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day) to Feb. 19th. What a great way to spend the romantic holiday. The room was exactly as advertised - complete with sunshine!! When I initially inquired on the location, Lynne (the owner) called me on a Sunday to further describe it and answer any questions. Her personal touch is also evident in the room and didn't go unnoticed. There are items spread throughout the condo that make you feel right at home from books to read, a small sewing kit and even a bottle of peroxide in case you cut yourself. We relaxed on the lanai, drank Mai Tais and watched the whales and turtles. This is a perfect location for a Maui vacation and I am recommending it to all my friends and will gladly stay there again on our next trip to Maui. Thanks a bunch to Lynne and Costas for sharing your "home" with us.

I loved my stay at this very cute and well equipped condo. Hearing the waves while we slept was very relaxing. Saw plenty of whales - even some jumping out of the water as well as many turtles on a regular basis. Perfect location - would consider buying a place like this someday. The only bad part which was just our bad luck was the people renting the adjacent unit ignored the no-smoking policy and smoked out on their Lanai - pretty much every morning and evening when we were trying to enjoy the view and fresh air. We were chased off the Lanai a number of times because of this and reporting it to the office seemed to make no difference.

This was our 6th trip to Maui, and I can unequivocally tell you that this unit was the quietest of all of the places we've stayed. It's so pleasant not to hear the garbage trucks at 5:30 a.m.!! Unit 412 was beautifully and tastefully done, but not so fancy that we felt uncomfortable in it. We walked in the door, saw the view, then the Welcome Basket, and immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and at home. Located about 1 mile south of Kahana, and about 5 miles north of Lahaina, it is a very central location to the north-west side of Maui. The sunsets are terrific; the whale-watching is fantastic; the turtle watching is really fun; and the snorkeling is great. What more can a person ask for??? We really have no complaints, only thanks to the owners for having such a comfortable, yet well-appointed condo.

With all the amenities of home, a clean, nicely decorated space, and incredible views you couldn't ask for a better place to stay on Maui. You can watch giant sea turtles eat off the reef right in front of your condo. Local fish market, coffee house, and farmer's market are a short walk each day for fresh products. Chatting it up with the permanent residents while grilling your fish at sunset is a real treat every evening. Then end each day falling asleep to the gentle sound of the waves. It doesn't get any better than this on Maui.

I recently had the great pleasure to spend 6 days in Unit #412 at Kaleialoha Resort. It is a perfectly appointed unit with an expansive oceanview of Lanai and Molokai. I ate every meal on the lanai to the musical accompaniment of the crashing waves and the incredible vistas of bright blue waters, sea turtles and even a pod of dolphins. At night the moon's reflection sparkled in the water below and hundreds of stars twinkled from above, in a way that can only be seen, when one is far enough away from all the city lights where I live. It was just a dream. The condo's decor is charming and it is impeccably maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware and cutlery. And there are even beach chairs, snorkel masks and ice chests available in the unit, for those who wish to make day trips to the beach. I especially appreciated the Natural foods store and Farmer's Market within easy walking distance. There was wonderful produce and delicious baked goods for sale outside on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And inside the Natural Foods store there was a very good selection of organic foods and products, which was better than any I'd ever seen on my many previous trips to Maui. There was some construction going on at the complex during the day, but I did not find the noise to be overwhelming or intrusive, and the workers were all polite and good natured. The condo's owner was very friendly and helpful and keeps the unit in perfect order. I would definately recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a charming environment, spectacular ocean view and lovely Hawaiian ambiance. It's a gem!

The full kitchen, in-unit laundry and the farmers market down the street were very convenient and really helped on the whole cost of the vacation. Yet there are lots of restaurants nearby in Kaanapali and Lahaina if you prefer to go out. The view from the lanai was spectacular. We had breakfast and dinner on the lanai every day, watching the whales and sea turtles at play. This also appears to be a good place for moderately experienced surfers to enjoy the waves. Good surf but no where near the pounding waves of the north shore. We will definitely recommend this condo to anyone who prefers a similar type of experience.

The turltes were also visiable from the lanai. The unit is clean and very hospitable. It's location is key. You can walk to private beaches, or BBQ in the back yard. It's a close distance form Kaanapali and Kapalua and downtown Lahaina. But again, the unit is so nice and the views with the breathtaking sunsets it's hard to leave the unit. I highly recommend Kaleialoha for anyone returning or who have an interest in coming to Maui for the first time. It is heaven on earth.
