Kanaloa at Kona 1604, Kailua-Kona Big Island

Another Year in 1604

We have stayed at Kanaloa at Kona for two-week vacations for the past 14 years and have stayed in several different units. Our favorite is Unit 1604 because it sits on the 12th tee and ocean with a view all the way back to Kailua.... more It is located at the very end of Kanaloa and is a very quiet location. You can also sneak out onto the 12th hole (Par 3) in the early morning or evening and work on your game and can also Kabitz with those on the 12th tee from your Lanai. Makes for some interesting conversations. less

Awesome with Caution!

I really enjoyed this well appointed apartment and facilities onsite. Unit 1604 was far bigger than expected and serviced our needs to perfection. I was sad I could not stay longer but I am sure we will be back and will lookout for this location... more again. There was only one poor point which I am still trying to resolve. Both the owner and the resort charged me for cleaning services. I am sure it will be sorted but please beware. less

Kanaloa 1604

Kanaloa unit 1604 was just as advertised. On arrival the check-in process was easy. The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable, the ocean, golf, and mountain views spectacular. Our fav was watching sunsets from the lanai. There was no A/C but it was not needed... more with all the windows open and ceiling fans running. Only problem with this was the people in the near condos were quite loud at all hours of the night. There are bare bones essentials in the kitchen. If you want to cook at the condo you will have to provide spices, condiments etc yourself. All in all we would return to this unit again. less
