Kanaloa at Kona 2503, Kailua-Kona Big Island

Beautiful ocean and sunset views

Condo 2503 has the most amazing view looking out over the pool to the ocean. We ate all of our meals on the lanai watching the waves roll in, boats go past and lovely sunsets. The unit itself is a bit outdated but it is... more comfortable. The AC works well and we liked the fact that we could control the bedroom and living room temps individually. There are coolers, beach chairs and floaties for use. The amenities at this resort are fantastic. With 3 heated pools (each with a jacuzzi) we were able to have a pool all to ourselves on many afternoons. The pool loungers are comfortable with nice little side tables and there are umbrellas for shade. There is a ping pong table, tennis court and 3 really nice pickleball courts. The oceanside pool has brand new furniture (loveseats and swivel rockers!) for ocean, sunset and star gazing. A few minor fixes in the unit would make it better: the ensuite shower door is hard to close, the toilet seat in the main bathroom is not really attached and the kitchen could use some new fluorescent bulbs along the top of the cabinets to improve the lighting. We have stayed in fancier condos but they did not have the Hawaiian ambience this unit provides. We can't wait to come back. less

Loved This Place

Our first time staying at Kanaloa. We usually stay further north on Alii. We really loved it down in Keauhou. This condo is by far the nicest we have ever stayed at. It is rather large at 1000 square feet and that was great. The... more view from the front balcony was spectacular. The facility grounds were really immaculate and everyone was very friendly. All the pools were great and the pickleball courts were very nice. We would definitely go back. less

Great view

This was our 25th(?) visit to Kanaloa at Kona, though first time in this unit. We really liked the unit, especially the great view of the ocean and the pool from the lanai.
