Awesome Condo with a view

What a beautiful condo. with an awesome view. Everything was super clean and newly painted. The appliances seemed brand new. A nice large refrigerator! The bathroom and shower were extra nice. We stayed about a week. Loved watching the boats and surfers from the room.... more We also got to watch whales right out front with binoculars. Best condo at the Ilikai Marina!

My husband's employer is based in Honolulu so we have made dozens of trips in the past 10 years and usually stay at the Ilikai Marina. The units are the right size and the location is close to his office. Unit 1182 is the best... more one we have stayed in. It has been upgraded and well maintained. The bed was super comfortable. The AC worked like a dream. The kitchen was well stocked. Being higher up kept the street noise to a minimum. Alice responded quickly when I had a question. This unit will be our first choice the next time we plan a trip! less

Ilikai Condo 1182

1182 was gorgeous. The lookout over the harbor and distance to everything you could possibly need made this location great. The beach chairs and beach gear made it easy to head right to Waikiki. We really enjoyed our stay!

Needs attention

I have stayed in this building many times starting in 2000 and absolutely love the location. I have noticed the different condos we have stayed in have started needing some attention. 1182 was VERY well stocked with things that you would possibly need in the... more kitchen & bathroom. And the bed slept extremely well. However, the bathroom rugs, sofa & chair and the bedspread all needed replacing. A little bit of paint is needed in several places. I don’t think I would stay here again until I know that updates have been made. less

Amazing condo

This condo was absolutely amazing! The views of the ocean were stunning. Make sure to stay over a Friday night to catch the fireworks over the lagoon. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and well kept this place was. It had everything we needed... more and even things we wouldn’t have thought of needing. It was so nice to have beach chairs and an umbrella for the hot days on the beach. We used the attached parking garage which was so convenient. They did raise the price to $28 a day, but still totally worth it. I would highly recommend this rental!! I give it 10 stars! We will definitely be back. less

Awesome Condo, Awesome location.

This condo was exactly as the pictures showed. It is a great location, especially if you have children as the Lagoon is within walking distance, and a great place to just chill on the beach. Easy access to parking, which is at a premium on... more Waikiki. Close to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and the ocean. Our daughter, enjoyed the games, the beach toys including the fish net, and watching the foot and boat traffic out the balcony. It was an incredible view of the Friday night fireworks display. Wonderful week in Oahu!

Great Condo

The condo is well located overlooking the marina and the western beaches. Great facilities and excellent thought has been given to providing for a comfortable stay. 1182 continues to tick all the boxes as a quiet & really convenient Oahu holiday base. Great set up - presented as spotlessly clean & tidy on arrival- this time we went up to Turtle Bay & used the snorkel/goggles, dropped /picked up our Enterprise... more rental car @ the Discovery Bay Centre across the road, made our pina coladas with the blender in the cupboard, plugged in our chromecast to the tv & watched Netflix/ Disney+ etc. We look forward to returning again soon - despite the disappointment of no Friday fireworks & only one teaspoon in the cutlery drawer 😱 less

Beautiful Condo!!

The condo was the perfect accommodation for our week long stay in Honolulu! The place was well kept and very clean. That VIEW was INCREDIBLE!! We enjoyed every morning sun. There was NON-stop ocean straight out as far as the eye could see. You can... more look directly down and see the harbor water. It is only a very short walk (across the street) to the beach. The only inconvenience was a routine power outage (building maintenance?) that was happening the morning we were leaving, so trying to gather our things and leave in the dark was not ideal however, the owners were kind enough to leave several lanterns and flashlights to be able to see as best we could. Its so easy!

We have traveled to Honolulu many times--always staying in hotels. This time we wanted something different and EASY. Condo 1182 at the Ilikai Marina fit the bill perfectly. Easy to arrive to, using Uber from the airport. Easy to access, taking the efficient elevator. Easy... more to enter, using the door combination (no keys to keep track of). Easy walking access to Waikiki beach, Ala Moana shopping center (check out the fabulous Foodland for your condo groceries), the Hale Koa barefoot bar (yummy mai tais) and the (free) Fort Derussy military museum. There are tons of restaurants and ABC stores nearby, and the hop-on hop-off trolley stops across the street at the Ilikai hotel. The condo unit itself... so easy to LOVE. We lacked for nothing!! You could seriously move in for a year and feel right at home. Sadly, we only had three nights...watched some beautiful sunsets, interesting harbor action and surfers, and even a pre-dawn full moon glistening off the water. Not easy to forget! less

Beautiful view, perfect for a family with children

My husband and I have been traveling to Hawaii once a year for the past 10 years. Now that we have kids, we always look for a condo unit to stay, that can accommodate our young children as well. The location was perfect for us as it was only less than 10 minutes away from our family who live in town. Parking is $23/day which is pretty reasonable, and that is to be expected staying in the city. Great experience

April 26 - May 5/19

We stayed in the Ilikai Marina Condo 1182 from April 26-May 5/19. The condo was very well appointed, lots of dishes, storage, and pretty much everything we needed for a great family vacation. The location is great, so nice to be able to just walk... more over to Foodland at Ala Moana. Two things that keep me from giving 5 stars: the lanai is so very small, my daughter and I could sit out on it, but my husband had to sit in the apartment. This is just a flaw in the design of the building, and nothing that the owners can fix, but it was still a disappointment. The other issue was the mattress on the sofa sleeper - it has obviously been very well used. My daughter lasted 2 nights on it, and then had such a sore back she had to move the mattress onto the floor each night. Best condo we've stayed in at the Ilikai Marina

We stayed here for 2 weeks in February 2019. The condo is as pictured, very clean, and the AC was cold. One thing that sets this condo apart from the others in the building is the larger bathroom. There is plenty of storage for your... more things in the bathroom, the dresser in the bedroom and lots of empty hangers in the closet. The balcony is small, but large enough for two chairs and small table. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony each day watching for whales. The king size bed is very comfy and had lots of pillows. The kitchen is very well appointed. I cooked lunch and dinner several times during our stay. There was olive oil, coffee filters, several kinds of spices and every utensil I needed. There were brand new beach chairs and a large, new beach umbrella. Also, boogie boards, a small ice chest and several beach towels. There were even some ice packs for the ice chest. We have stayed at the Ilikai Marina several times and so far, this would be our favorite condo. Hopefully, this unit will be available when we come back in October. Palm tree perfection

Aside from its very tiny lanai, this place is excellent. In addition to other reviewer comments: very quiet (just the gentle clanking of boat halyards at night, if you leave the door open), and new keyless entry is great (remember to lock it on the... more way out). There's a skyway on level 2 that leads all the way to the Hilton lagoon and thence real beach without crossing at street level, if you walk through The Modern's pool area. It's clearly not beachfront, but a modest walk gets you everything. - very well equipped... the best I've seen, kudos! - bluetooth and FM Sony stereo with decent sound-- tune in "da PaAina" station 93.1FM and you're done! - beach chairs, beach umbrella, small cooler, games, movies, books, dishwasher (!), coasters, plasticware, blender, toaster oven *and* toaster (yay!), just about everything you could ask for...even a cute teapot and a pineapple corer! - sharp knives! Phew. I always bring one of my own, but didn't use it. - decent pans, mostly... the smallest nonstick is badly scratched but others are good. - very quiet and effective central A/C... this is a huge win. Keep curtains closed when gone. - wishlist - a screen for the sliding lanai door, even a temporary one-- to ensure birds and bugs (of which I saw very few) stay out...without that, I hardly left the lanai open. The birds are there as soon as you open it, cute but pesky. - sunbrella seat cushions on the dining chairs.... clear plastic covers are icky... i covered them with a towel. - shaving mirror - quiet ceiling fan-- the one in there buzzes, but very good A/C means it is not really needed at all. - less bulky curtains so more view can be unobstructed when they are open. Currently about 1/3 blocked. - wow, is that it? this place is a great deal. Love the palm-tree decoration themes... I have the same bedspread in MN, my wishful thinking :) less

Beautiful Condo

Great location

Parking was easy in the garage under the building. No trouble getting into the unit. Bathroom drainage was very slow and this was a slight problem. Also the internet bandwidth was so limited that I got up during the night to plan the next days... more trips. When the internet bandwidth was saturated web access would simply timeout and this was a problem. There is a great acai bowl place across the street at bottom level called Tropical Tribe. We went there almost every day. We did three hikes including Diamond Head, Koko Head Crater and Moana Falls. All were good. There were also Friday night fireworks visible from the balcony. We tried fine dining once at a restaurant called Azure but cannot recommend it. The food was not worth the price. There was a military museum in Waikiki called Fort DeRussy which was very enjoyable. It has always been there but this is the first time that we noticed it and went through the exhibits. It is free to enter but we left a donation. less

Perfect stay!

The condo was pretty perfect, with a beautiful ocean view, and lovely sunsets. Close enough to the beaches to be walking distance, and no need to wade through crowds to see Friday night fireworks. The unit is very nicely decorated, and the owners thoughtfully placed... more everything there we could possibly need. Only two small issues—the dishwasher was broken—we cooked about all of our own meals, so lots of dishes to wash by hand (first world problem, I know) and the laundry machines are actually $2.75 each load to wash and $2.25 to dry, so that just needs to be updated on the building info sheet. Other than that, it was a lovely place, and we didn’t want to leave. With the balcony door closed it was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen and bath are nicely appointed with lots of room, and we loved the sliding wall between the bedroom and living room—it made a huge difference in choosing this condo over others where the bed is right next to the kitchen area. Conveniently, the Chart House restaurant is on the lobby floor—we had a wonderful dinner there. Also, it was easy to get around whether we walked, drove or took public transportation. Bus stops are right at the corner. This was an uncommonly nice place for the price! Next time we stay in Waikiki, we hope to return to the Ilikai Marina. We are so very grateful to the owners for proving such a nice home away from home! less

Nice home base to explore Honolulu

Recently our family went to Honolulu for a short vacation and we needed a decent place to stay. After looking through hundreds of listing in Tripadvisor, BnB and similar sites, we settle for this home. It was a good choice. We treated the home like... more it was ours. 1) Place felt "homely" and decoration was tasteful 2) Close to the Marina, not far from Ala Moana mall and other popular touristy locations(though some you have to walk 1-2 miles but we like walking) 3) Queen sized sofa bed did not feel cheap, mattress did not feel like cardboard per my daughter. Glad to know the owner didn't go cheap on this. Comfort is important especially when it comes to getting a good night sleep 4) Bed was comfy 5) Bathroom was cleaned 6) Nice cool AC was running in good condition(very important in my book) Only minor issue I would mention is anyone could take the elevator up to the condos. Its not like a hotel where you can use a electronic key to get to the floor of your room. So there is always a possibility that a bad buy could go up there. Even though there is a security office near the elevator, the person is not always there to monitor. The laminated flooring is nice but a bit dusty in areas that people don't walk often. Lot of cooking related pots, simple ingredients are available if you need to use it. We ate out everyday and didn't really use the kitchen. Bath and beach towels were plentiful, I worried that we did not have enough. I'd stay here again if I am in Honolulu again. less

Enjoyable stay at Condo 1182

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo, it had everything we needed, and the views were amazing. Parking was easy, we never had a problem finding a parking space, and paid upfront for the 5 days, easy access to the lifts. There was a... more pub, restaurants and ABC stores close by. The Hilton Hawaiian Village with a lagoon, shops, bars and restaurants was only about a 5 minute walk, and a couple more minutes to the beach. Was lovely to watch the sunsets from the lanai. Location location location

Perfect location down the marina end of Waikiki - it was nice and quiet but we were able to easily walk into the thick of everything in no time. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and more. The beds are not... more the best (didn't stop us from sleeping) and the shower was not draining properly but these are minor things and we found the plunger and kept it in the shower! The entry to the unit is the same one employed by realtors, a lock box on the door knob, Quick, easy and efficient. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated and equipped. By equipped I mean there were items one would never expect in a rental:... more spices, containers for leftovers, plastic & aluminum wrap, toaster & toaster oven, 2 coffee makers, WiFi, DVDs & VHSs, beach chairs & umbrella, snorkeling equipment, a cooler and frozen ice packets in the freezer. The king bed was very comfortable and the panoramic view was awesome. We had first class seating for the Friday fireworks, the nightly sunsets and in walking distance to everything imaginable. Lovely Condo

Lovely comfortable condo. Nice amenities and very clean. It was fun to look out the balcony at the people and boats. We did see some fireworks from the balcony on an unscheduled day too! Repeat Paradise!

This was our 4th return to Oahu; 2nd stay at #1182. (Nov. 5-7). We felt very fortunate that this unit was available when we returned. Very clean, tastefully decorated, and definite has a “woman’s touch”~~ from supplied kitchen items, to nite- lite in Bathroom, and... more much more! If you are searching for housing, you will not be disappointed in selecting this unit. The view of ocean/ boats/ sunset was stunning! We had other family members in #1190, and all agreed 1182 was the better choice~ encountered the cleaning personnel upon exit who stated this unit was THE BEST in the building~~ we definitley agree! Our only regret is we don’t stay long enough...Thank-you Elaine and Ray for a true aloha experience! And may we recommend breakfast at Cinnamon’s.. a new- found love! ( very short walking distance). Pretty View

The condo had everything we needed and was in a nice location. Unfortunately, on our last morning there, the water in the building was shut-off. We had running water in the kitchen sink, but the bathroom water was completely shut off - toilet, shower, faucet)... more The property manager was gracious and extended us a late check-out. However, the water was suppose to be shut off from 9-11 a.m. and in actuality never came back on until almost 12:45. We had to take sponge baths using a dish washing tub from under the kitchen sink before we took our 9 hour flights back to the main land. Location & condo would've been 5 stars, but...

Based on the location of this condo, the condo itself, and the price paid, I would totally give it 5 stars. However, when we arrived on Saturday night, after a delayed flight from Los Angeles, we found a dirty & wet pile of towels in... more the bathroom, all three trash cans full of garbage, sheets that had obviously been used piled on the end of the couch, used, wrinkled sheets on the king bed, and used bars of soap on both the bathroom sink and in the shower. We had no closet hanging space because, unsure of what else to do with the dirty items, had piled them in the laundry basket in the closet. The next morning, we also had to plunge the shower, due to the wad of hair that was clogging up the trap. There is NO WAY anyone was in to clean the condo between the previous guests leaving and our arrival. After talking to the cleaning crew (the only people who ever responded to our issues), we discovered someone had slipped in an extra booking without alerting them. We loved the layout and the view, but would have appreciated more rapid handling of these issues, as it was Monday morning before we had any resolution. The majority of this review is copied and pasted from the emails I sent to the owners after we made the condo sleepable for ourselves. I would not recommend for someone to book this condo without the caveat that I'd call (since email doesn't get you a response) the night before I was checking in to be sure no additional & unexpected bookings had been made. less

Great Stay

Our family of 4 had a great time staying in your condo. We only stayed a short time, 2 nights and next time we are on Oahu we will absolutely stay with you again. We stayed in this condo while visiting for my sister's wedding. Great location with a beautiful view. This condo had everything you could think of there for you. They had beach towels, plenty of regular towels and linens, beach chairs, even a small cooler and... more beach bag. The bathroom even had extras such as a blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron and some additional shampoos, etc. The bed was by far one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in at a rental. Prime location to walk to restaurants and shopping made easy at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It's just a short stroll to the lagoon area or the beach. Wonderful, complete, waterfront condo.

We stayed at this condo for 6 days in April 2016 before we left on a cruise. Words can not truly express how wonderful this condo was for us. Didn't Want for Anything

Overlooking the marina can have its drawback with noise as the sound does carry upward to the unit but it did not really pose an issue. The location is excellent for walking the beach, which has a paved walk that extends quite a way. Access to the Waikiki strip, shopping and lots of restaurants is a real plus. The parking garage was convenient if maybe a little confusing. Overall it was a good experience, the owners and their property manager was easy to work with and responsive to some minor items that arose. Ok for short period

Great location however there are some items needing improvements. When we first arrived I felt the signage needs to be improved for getting to condos. It took a while to figure it out. Once we opened the doors to the condo, it was very humid.... more Perhaps the air was just turned on prior to us getting there but I was concerned it would remain that way. Luckily it was better later that night. After we settled in, I began unpacking and noticed womens underwear in one of the drawers and chips in the couch when I pulled out the bed. I tried to overlook it but was very disheartening. I also prepared coffee one morning and the mug I grabbed was still dirty. The main bed was however wonderful to sleep in and as mentioned location was great. I guess for feedback to make sure the condo is prepped and ready to go. We rented this 11th floor condo #1182 in conjunction with another one, #1190, from the same agency.. Both were superclean and roomy, great for our extended family and the grand kids. The condos are right above a small-boats marina, with ocean and beach views, on... more the map roughly between Ala Moana Beach Park and Hilton Hawaiian Village, at the quiet end of Waikiki beach. Small balcony off condo, and you can open door for nice breeze or use the air conditioning. Condo is kid-friendly and kitchen is well-equipped.A coin laundry on the 8th floor for guests, pool privileges at adjacent hotel grounds reached by 2nd floor pedestrian bridge. Food is expensive so cooking some meals is a great advantage. There is an ABC minimart across the street, but find a real market for most of your cooking. Car garage is easy in and out. Upon your first exit, pay the garage for the length of your stay to get the best rate ($20 per day when we were there). Not only is the location good if staying on the quieter side, it is also great for taking day trips. Easy to head out from the garage and get to Pearl Harbor or a drive around the rest of the island. I liked that convenience as I like a break from the city. Overall, nice location for Waikiki visitors, especially families like ours who prefer a condo over a hotel room at a very good rate. FYI --the Ala Moana Beach Park is an easy 5 min drive and has a protected swimming area ideal for kids and non-swimmers at it's point, named Magic Island. And, if you head out of town try the beautiful Kailua Beach Park for a whole day in the windward town of Kailua, a 40 min drive on H3 or Hwy 61 Pali Hwy. White sand, gentle turquoise water, free parking, showers and restrooms, and lifeguard. less

Excellent local with great views of the harbor and ocean

This condo is nicely located as it is at the end of Waikiki and not as busy. It is close to shopping, with Walmart, Sam's Club, and the Ala Moana shopping center just minutes away. It's an easy walk to the Ala Moana park where... more you can swim in the protected bay area or walk or jog around the parks paved trail. We walked over to the Hawaiian Hilton for live music in the Tapa room and walked back to the condo along the beach boardwalk. The decor in the condo is pleasant and the bed and sleep sofa are comfortable. To be able to have breakfast overlooking the harbor and ocean each morning was a treat and the sunsets were beautiful. The condo is easy to find with parking under the building at a more reasonable rate than most of the hotels in the area. Many restaurants are with in walking distance of the condo and the Waikiki Trolly system runs all day and night on Alal Moana Blvd. if you want to go into the heart of Waikiki for shopping or entertainment. less

Comfortable, Well-Equipped, Great View: Great Value

We like to prepare some of our meals and have more space than a hotel room typically offers, and this condo accomplishes that very well. It's also equipped just like you'd equip your own beach condo - with beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, beach towels, etc.... more Figure an extra $20 a day for convenient 24 hr. parking in the building. The owners are directly involved and you'll hear from them before and after your stay. They want you to have a great stay. They also have an arrangement with a local person, should you need immediate assistance. The only inconvenience we had was the wifi would let us log-in, but it was extremely slow, and basically unuseable. So we used our own Verizon 3G hotspot. I'm no networking expert, but I believe the wireless router has gone bad. It's operating, but it's old (2008) and was hot to the touch. I've reported that problem to the owners, and I believe they'll address it. If wifi is important to you though, you should confirm with the owners that it has been addressed. My only other comment on the slightly negative side was I thought the bed comforter/bed spread had an odor. Sleeping rooms visited by the general public typically suffer from this, and it's typically my practice to remove the comforter from the bed. I'd stay here again. less

Comfortable condo with beautiful view of the sunset.

The ilikai marina condo was very comfortable and had most everything we needed. I specifically wanted a king bed with a separated living room for privacy. The bathroom was big and had two ways to access from the living room and bedroom. My 18 month... more daughter loved roaming around and enjoyed the space. Everything was very clean and well kept. The ala moana mall, Don Qijote grocery store and Walmart were close by. McDonald's, Red Lobster (right underneath our building) and other restaurants were close by. We especially liked the lagoon nearby since we had our daughter practice getting used to the water before taking her to the beach. She loved the beach. The only draw back is that you would have drive out to the Waikiki beach area since you are at the far end of the main Waikiki strip. We had a drainage problem in the bathtub, but I called alice and she sent a plumber out the same day and he fixed it in minutes. It was great service. The Internet service was slow or was not working at times, but we had data service on our phones so it was not too bad. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again. less

A great getaway in downtown Honolulu!!

We loved our stay at the marina. It was very central to all thoroughfares. The views from the condo are spectacular day and night. The bed was very comfortable and the condo had everything that we needed. We wish that we spent more time in... more the immediate area because there were two beaches and water access right there at the marina and then at Moana Loa Park. Highly recommend Pearl Harbor but plan on starting early (0800) and spending the whole day. We got there at 0900 and were rushed through the aviation Museum before it closed. Lots of great hiking but bring lots of water - uphill hking is thirsty work. Koko Crater is 1000 stairs uphill - looked great but did not attempt! Diamond Head was spectacular as well as a psrk that was across from Koko Crater. Loved driving around the North Shore and the shrimp "mobiles"! We can't wait to get back! less

Awesome view!!

We have now been to Oahu 4 times but had never stayed at this part of Waikiki before. We chose this condo building because we liked the fact that you look out at a marina and then out to the ocean. No buildings blocking your... more view to get the ocean view we really wanted. The pictures on the website are very accurate and we really enjoyed staying here. Loved having the comfy King size bed and the bathroom is nicely updated and a good size with a nice big counter and new bath towels too! The only thing that would make this even better is some updating in the kitchen. It is very functional but could be really nice with some new things done to it. It was nice to be at this end of Waikiki to see "new" sights and had no idea we would be so close to ala Moana Mall. Also had great food and drinks in the pub on the bottom floor. Our Happy O'ahu Home away From Home

This is the fourth year in a row that we have stayed in Unit 1182 at the Ilikai Marina Condos, and it just keeps getting better and better. The condo had been re-painted since our visit in February 2012 and looked quite refreshed. Every year,... more a peek into the closets reveals additional items to use at the beach or take along on day trips around the island, like beach chairs, boogie boards, and a mini-ice chest. This condo is spotless, very attractively furnished, and the kitchen is well stocked with everything we have needed for meal preparations. The panoramic view out the windows and off the lanai is breath-taking. We were very happy and content during our 10 day stay in what has become our home-away-from-home on O'ahu. The location of the Ilikai Marina Condos perfectly suits our needs. For starters, it is an easy drive or taxi ride to and from the airport. We prefer the quieter location of this condo complex compared to the more centrally located Waikiki hotels. The nearby ala Moana Park and Duke Kahanamoku beaches are our favorites, wide and less crowded most of the time. It is walkable to central Waikiki and down to Kapi'olani Park, by Diamond Head. We have chosen to book with aloha Condos for 8 visits since 2007 and have found the company and the condos excellent. Chuck is always helpful during the booking process, and the local contact, Alice, has been very friendly and responsive whenever we have a question. Home away from home.

It was our first time to Hawaii for our family of four. Having two boys under 5 years concerned me as most hotel rooms are tiny and by evening my active boys would go stir crazy. However, Condo 1182 had everything we needed during the... more day and the evening. The room was so spacious,warm and well equipped. I was most impressed with the cupboard filled sandtoys, boogie boards, sand mats and stroller. The boys thoroughly enjoyed watching videos after dinner every night as the dvd collection was great. My husband too enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning, watching the boats and the divine ocean. I loved the easy walk to alamoana mall for shopping. We were impressed that there was no queue to get into the lift which is common with the bigger hotels in Waikiki that we visited. The laundry facilities were very handy. Additionally, it was helpfully to grab a taxi from straight across the street from the Modern Hotel. We were so happy to have stayed in Condo 1182. Fabulous Views...Beautifully furnished

Truly a lovely place to stay...close to restaurants, ala moana shopping centre and some great swimming beaches. We cannot fault this place if you are willing to be away from the rush of waikiki and yet be within a walk of the main hub. This rate is not allowed any more and it will cost you $20 per day to park...the complex does not have access to the ilikai pool as we read in one review so the beaches are your only swimming choice. A 5 star stay in Paradise

Travel for more than 30 hours and a 12 hour time difference as we walked into 1182 and as we opened the door every bit of tiredness disappeared. So much thought, the smallest details created something special. We were "In Hawaii" Special thanks to Chuck... more who was fantastic in pre planning/booking. Professional but friendly quick and helpful replies. That dining table that view, a quick check of the well equipped kitchen and this was where we would dine every night. Lots of Supermarkets for shopping as you tour the island. Walmart only a short drive away too. Excellent amount of storage space, quality towels. Books, cards, Games, videos, all beach equipment, towels, chairs, cooler, boards. The essential internet connection free . Bed as heaven. Wonderfully comfortable bed and quality bed linen. On site parking a huge benefit, necessary and reasonably priced by comparison. Malls, restaurants, Hilton Lagoon, Ala Moana beach all nearby What was much appreciated was the peace and quiet at night. The apartment was not available for our entire stay and so we moved for 3 days to a 4 star at Waikiki. How we missed 1182. A higher price for parking and one anonymous style room none of the conveniences. This was a once in a life time holiday but if ever we return to Honolulu there is not the slightest doubt 1182 would be the only place we would want to stay less

Great Location!

Our party rented both 1182 and 1190 for the week. My wife and I stayed in 1182. Except for cockroaches, which I totally understand are hard to control in the tropics, it was great. The good parts: the location was fabulous, the view is wonderful,... more the wireless, the TV, the stereo system that utilized my iPhone, the bed, the shower - all were really good. We refrained from cooking there and we were very careful not to leave any food wrappers or anything else that might attract bugs, but still almost every time we turned on the lights in the kitchen, they were there. Unfortunately, it really affected our stay. The good news is that unit 1190 was bug free, so we cooked and ate our meals there with our other family members. The location is right between Waikiki Beach and ala Moana Beach, only 4 blocks from a major shopping center (Ala Moana Center), almost next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which has great restaurants and walking areas and has a fabulous beach area. It's a perfect location to stay for both beach use as well as touring the island. less

Great location!

Loved the location! Great views of the marina and surfers, ala moana beach park to the right, Hilton lagoon and waikiki beaches to the left. Fireworks were amazing to see from the lanai. Its close enough to the main street and buses etc but far... more enough away that you don't notice any noise (except maybe from the pub down below). The beaches, tourist shops, grocery stores (Foodland) are all within walking distances so everything is close by. The condo was very tastefully and comfortably furnished. As in other reports, everything is nicely updated with the exception of the kitchen. Previous guests hadn't done the greatest job on washing the glassware and pans before putting them in the cupboards and we did run into the usual tropical welcoming party (i.e. cockroaches) on a number of ocassions. Except for the last 2 items, overall, we would say that its a very nice condo and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. less

Comfortable with a nice ocean view

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at unit 1182. The main bed is very comfy (I am picky on mattress). And the view from the tiny lanai is great, especially at the night of July 4th to watch the fireworks! My kids just love the ocean... more view and they thought it is the very best of the studio. We did use the kitchen. It is functional and practical but I have to say that it needs an update. Everything that you need

Ilikai Marina 1182 was first rate - from making reservations, communication about the condo, check-in, to the condo itself. The condo is in a great location - an easy walk to everything including Waikiki Beach and the mall where there is a Foodland. We asked... more the parking attendant about a monthly rate and were able to buy a 1/2 month pass (last 2 weeks of the month) - a significantly better rate than daily. Inside the condo there is everything that you need - a complete kitchen, all sorts of everyday items - things you wouldn't think of bringing but are at a loss if you didn't have them - it's very thoughtfully supplied. The bed & sofa bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was just as shown in the pictures - updated and clean (as is the rest of the condo). The laundry on the 8th floor was convenient - but you might want to get there earlier in the day. The layout and furniture of the condo was comfortable. Great Value on Waikiki

After searching extensively online, I was really impressed with this particular condo, based on reviews by previous renters and by the photos of the condo online. Our arrival went smoothly thanks to the excellent instructions we were given via email. The view from the balcony... more was beautiful, overlooked the marina with a great view of the ocean, and the Hilton lagoon. We really enjoyed the fireworks (at the Hilton lagoon) which are set off every Friday night and could watch them from the balcony. The unit was very clean, beautifully furnished with a tropical theme, and was well supplied with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. We let our friends have the bedroom and they said the bed was very comfortable. My wife and I slept on the sofa bed in the living room. It was relatively comfortable, considering no sofa bed is as good as a regular bed. The location was close to bus stops, shopping (the ala Moana Center was just a short walk away), and both the Waikiki beach and the ala Moana beach were just a very short walk away. Considering how expensive so many of the other accommodations are in the Waikiki area, we were thrilled with the location and the cost, as well as the quality of the condo. The condo looks just like the photos advertised. It's very clean. Instructions for check-in were easy. The view off the balcony to the marina and surrounding beach area was beautiful. Welcome to Paradise

In late February, we stayed a week in unit 1182 at the Ilikai Marina Condos. We enjoyed a gorgeous view over the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, Ala Moana Beach Park, and the Pacific Ocean. There are also several lovely, sandy beaches to choose from, which are a few minutes walk away form the condo. Unit 1182 is comfortable and very well equipped and furnished. The kitchen contained everything we needed when we prepared meals, enjoying our own ocean-view dining area and lanai. There was a slight problem with a leaky pipe when we arrived, but it was taken care of very quickly by the Aloha Condos team. The condo building watchmen were also very helpful when we had questions. Beautiful presented magnificent views

Worth every penny

This condo has it all. Well maintained, well stocked, well furnished, and well suited for a family of 4. We really appreciated all the accommodations and amenities. The kitchen, utensils, appliances, plumbing, carpet, and furniture were all in top shape. Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center and convenient route to bypass the heart of Waikiki. And don't miss the Friday night fireworks over at the lagoon. Also, very important, the internet worked! What a relief to be able to "google" our itinerary, finish up some overdue work, and complete a "last minute emergency" online exam. The only negative was the proximity to Yacht Harbor Towers (which was under renovation). Great vacation

Our first visit back in 10 years. This apt. was well furnished - new furniture and bed very comfortable. Kitchen was adequate for our needs since we ate out most of the time. I did read that someone had a problem with noise from the restaurant below, however although it was busy the whole time we were there we were never once disturbed by noise from the restaurant. Fabulous, clean and well appointed. What a view!

Just as the online pictures promised: a spacious, well-appointed and nicely decorated unit with a fabulous view of the Yacht Harbor and Magic Island. Our 3-yo daughter loved the pull-out bed and we enjoyed being able to retreat to the bedroom. The bed was luxurious... more and fresh. We can't recall the last time we slept so well. Although there is nightlife along the marina, the unit is high up enough so it is quiet. The bathroom had plenty of towels and the housekeeping crew does a great job. There are even spare towels and a couple of folding chairs for the beach. There are laundry facilities on site. The kitchen has everything and there is enough space to make pretty good meals and enjoy them. The dishes and utensils were good quality and the appliances worked well. The unit has free wireless Internet and it was not hard to set up: there is a cheat sheet that has all of the log-in info. The building is located near the HHV lagoon (renovated in 2008) and it was a short walk to the lagoon and the adjoining beach. We were in the water every day and our 3-yo could walk each way. The Chart House, located off the lobby, has nice atmosphere and great food and service. There is a casual pizza place around the corner that has a friendly bar. There are several other dining options within a block of the building. If you are renting a car, there is convenient covered parking in the building. You can sign up for a monthly pass at the booth if you are staying more than 10 days (cheaper that way and no tickets to lose). We'll be back. What a find this was. less

Too much , to little

We were told there was a pool.......Not! There was too much kitchen for us. All we needed was a coffee pot, microwave, and fridge. The beach chairs were heavy as lead and as soon as we got to the Hale Koa beach we rented chaise... more lounges, umbrella, ice bucket with water. And still had to lug the heavy chairs back to the car. The manager told us there had not been a pool access for two years. I believe part of what we paid was for access to a pool. Cooking smells permeated the hall. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The other furniture was some of the most uncomfortable we've ever tried to relax on. No, we would not stay in 1182 again or recommend it to anyone. It was overpriced for what we had. less

Nice Condo near the Hilton Lagoon

This was just the right size condo for our 2 parent 2 kid family. The location was great, with a terrific view of the marina and all the nearby watersports. Easy access to transportation and we also rented a car for longer day trips. Parking... more is very convenient. The restaurant in the downstairs was a little noisy for light sleepers on Friday night before we left on Saturday. The kitchen is well-stocked and laundry was easily accessible throughout the week. less

Great Location and Comfort

We found the Illikai Marina Appartment suited our vacation needs very well. It was convenient to the Major Shopping Centre, close to Waikiki Beach activities, and promenade and tour pickups were right outside. The unit, while compact, was well equipped and comfortable, with great views... more and convenient wireless internet access.
