Nohonani Condos and Resort 404, Lahaina Maui

We stayed at 404 for just over a week in March. It was our first time at the Nohonani. We have stayed at other complexes on the same street. Having the elevator was great! A nice welcoming touch was the basket of goodies. We did find it very warm in the suite but the breeze from the open windows helped. We would have liked a firmer bed as we found it too soft. Joe the manager was also helpful and kept up the area. The swimming pool was great and we used that as well as swimming in the ocean out front. Definitely recommend staying at this complex! less

Love 404

We LOVE coming back to 404 and have reservations for 2017. But, we were disappointed in the maintenance this year. The throw rugs in front of the downstairs master bedroom and in the kitchen were really dirty and stained. They should either be shampooed or... more replaced. The vent fan in downstairs bath was so dirty and full of dust, lint that I personally cleaned it myself. There was a smell in the kitchen that we couldn't identify. There is some "stuff" between the stove and side wall. I ground a couple cut up lemons in the garbage disposal but the odor remained. Fresh paint perhaps? Nothing so disturbing to stop us from coming back year after year. less

great launching pad

We stayed 6 nights in 404 late January and found that it was the perfect place to start and end our daily journeys. The condo is not glamorous but offers a very comfortable and functional place to sleep, make meals, and spend time on the... more lanai looking for turtles, whales and surfers. The view is hard to beat! We had 4 adults and one child and there was plenty of space for everyone. The little beach wasn't really useful because of the wind and surf at the time, but we were able to watch turtles hanging out there. We found the nearby natural foods store to be quite convenient for grabbing snacks and prepared food. We would definitely considering staying in 404 again. less

Our week in Maui

The Nohonani Complex is nicely located to beaches, Lahaina, the main hwy, grocery store and shops. Unit 404 is on the fourth floor and we were glad to find elevator access and the complex is managed well - Joe does a great job keeping it... more tidy. The unit has a stunning ocean view and gets sufficient cross ventilation of breezes. We found the condo to be clean upon arrival and there was a yummy snack bag to greet us. The furnishings are in good shape, however, a bit dated. We were disappointed that some basic supplies like hand soap, shampoo, plastic storage bags (for food), laundry detergent, paper goods were limited and you are expected to resupply what you need; also the spices are very old. When traveling, all these things add up - especially when you only need small bits and portions. That in itself would not preclude us from coming back to Nohonani. What was a deal breaker for all 5 of us traveling together was the ocean. You are right on the water front, and we were surprised how loud the breakers are when hitting the retaining wall in the front of the property. It woke us up through the night and on one night in particular it seemed to shake the unit. Other than that the facilities and amenities made for a great week's vacation. less

Awesome condo!

Beautiful condo. Very clean. Location is perfect. Ocean is 10feet away and sunsets are gorgeous. Pool is well kept. Can't wait to come back!! Thank you for the great experience!

Awesome!

My wife and I stayed in a condo for the second half of our honeymoon. We had a great stay! The condo was clean and right on the beach. Communication with the management company could have been better. Issues with construction at the last minute.... more Offered us to either get out of our contract or have a discount. Nohonani Condos

Stayed 1 week in August, 2016. The condo is nice. The two bedrooms and loft with a pull out bed allowed the four of us to be very comfortable. The only negative was the heat. It was hot and humid and I wish we had... more AC. The fans provided kept us fairly cool at night, but the sound and the blasting air made it harder to sleep well. The location is GREAT. The private beach had sea turtles swimming near shore every day, and twice, one spent hours resting on the beach. The snorkeling nearby at Kapalua Beach and Kahekili Beach was fantastic!! less

Nohonani Condo 404

My husband & I, along with our two teenagers, just stayed in this unit for a week during mid July. Although the hottest month, the condo was well equipped with ceiling fans and portable fans. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics you... more needed to cook for a week, along with a large enough refrigerator/freezer to accommodate a trip to Costco. The unit was very clean upon our arrival and we received an awesome welcome gift. Because there is a washer & dryer in the unit, we were able to pack very light. There were plenty of beach towels & bathroom towels to go around as well. Can't beat the premiere access to the beach as well! There was even an onsite handyman who repaired a minor sink leak within 20 minutes of our phone call. We have stayed in this unit 3 times now over the past 10 years, and wouldn't even think about trying to find "something better." It has everything a family needs along with an incredible view. Total rest and relaxation was accomplished! And being that it is so centrally located, groceries, dining, shopping, site seeing, snorkeling, and entertainment are just a short drive away. My family and I had an incredible vacation thanks to Aloha Condos. The rental process was totally easy online. Prices were as promised. All inquiries were answered within minutes. Incredible view

Everything was GREAT! 5 of us & we all would definitely return. The only snag was that when the big fire on Maui was going on the electricity went out (which was ok), which shorted out the microwave. The manager did not replace it or... more fix it so we spent most of our 10 day stay without a microwave. That was a problem. But the condo itself was wonderful. less

Picture Perfect Vacation

Before we even arrived the attention to my inquiries were so efficient and helpful. After a very long flight and a it being late at night we were greated with a beautiful welcome basket and note. Everything in the condo was exactly what had been... more explained to us and matched the pictures perfectly. No surprises. The layout of the condo worked perfectly and every little detail was thought out. I was a little concerned about the heat upstairs without air conditioning. No problem at all. The beautiful breeze took care of that and we even had an abundance of fans if necessary. We were greated then with sea turtles every morning and we waited for them to come back every night. We even saw whales one night while eating dinner on the balcony. The location worked perfectly (especially having a coffee shop across the street) and once we ventured out to other areas we realized how fortunate we were to have both a sandy beach and pool out front. Fabulous Fun!

Nohonani #404

We had a bit of an ant problem during our stay. When we first got in we noted some ants in the kitchen and someone had placed 3 ant traps on the kitchen counter. While ants are a nuisance we didn't want our vacation disturbed... more by having someone come in to exterminate the issue. The decor and furniture is a bit dated although the bathrooms have been updated. I would still consider staying again as we love staying at and have been coming here for almost 30 years. less

Unit 404

We have stayed at Nohonani at least five times over the years and chose it this year for a big family get a way with our three married children and spouses, and two grandchildren. The location is great being right on the beach and the... more low key property suits a family gathering. The kitchen at 404 was well appointed but really, really small. The baths have been nicely updated but the upstairs was unbearable due to the fixed glass window at the loft, the extreme heat when we were there, and no a/c at the unit. My husband did lay down on the upstairs bedroom to read and said it was really hard and uncomfortable, like a box spring instead of a mattress. I would like to compliment the housekeeper that stopped in when we arrived to restock paper produces. She was very sweet and welcoming. Also, the welcome basket left for us on the dining table was a great touch. less

The perfect location for our teens to enjoy the whales and turtles! Memory of a life time!

We had an awesome time! The space was great for our family of 6. Our teens woke us up the first morning yelling "We see whales and turtles!" The ocean was a little loud at first and took a little getting used to as we... more slept with the windows open to keep things cool. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing we were short on (and didn't get the correct info that we needed to provide it) was additional toilet paper. 5 girls for 8 days use a lot :). The girls loved the fact that there were conch shells in the unit to blow on like the neighbors were doing at sunset! We would definitely recommend staying here! less

The nicely appointed condo is a perfect setup for two couples. Perfect island location

Relaxing and beautiful place.

Location on the water

Excellent location with wonderful pool and beach. Grills were very useful and available. Apt was clean and kitchen well stocked. Bedroom upstairs was quite warm even with 2 fans. maintenance man Joe was very pleasant, helpful, and a hard worker keeping everything neat and working.... more Great location to small shopping/service area and beach walk. A dream location for our stay in paradise!

When we walked into Nohonani 404 it took our breath away! The view was so beautiful that it felt like a dream. Being so close to the water was amazing. This was the most incredible vacation! We were married here and can't imagine a more... more perfect setting for a honeymoon. Every day waking up to the sound of the ocean was rejuvenating! We enjoyed romantic walks on the beach, spent hours snorkeling through the reefs and we are in love with the sea turtles! Eating on the lanai and gazing at the water was perfect. The sunsets were spectacular and the air was so refreshing. Nohonani 404 was perfect because we loved being so close to the water. The ocean was just a few feet away, it's incredible! The interior was perfect too, homey and comfortable. Both bedrooms had gorgeous views and the upstairs loft area has a huge window with an awesome panoramic view that looks at the ocean. You can also see the islands of Molokai and Lanai along with the impressive rainbows. We loved the island and can't wait to visit again.
