True beach front vacation home

This was the closest vacation home to beach and water you can get!!! The ocean front complex has the best location in my opinion, minutes from two main supermarkets and many top-rated eateries. During the pandemic, this place provided the perfect sanctuary to our family... more getaway. We sighted many turtles in the water right from the patio. Kapalua Bay Beach has the calmest water on the island for swimming and snorkelling, which is also just a few minutes away. The condo is very clean and functional. No mosquitoes or other pesty insects in the area. The main bed and the pullout bed are both very firm and provided good rest at night. In the winter months, the waves can be pretty loud when they struck the sea wall. It did not bother me at all but my wife needed to use some earplugs! Building staff were super friendly and the off site manager (Amy) was also super responsive in helping us booking and extending the stay. All in all, very good value and we will be back for sure. less

Good stay, would do it again

Nice complex in west Maui. Close to food, shops, beach, and the 30 highway. The space itself was clean and adequate for us (we traveled as a couple). The only negatives were zero soundproofing; we could hear our neighbors during the evening and waves crashing... more onto the shore at night. The latter might be a positive for some, but light sleepers should take it into account. Good time overall! less

Great Hawaiian Condo

This was my first time staying at Nohonani Condos. Unit #104 was Everything I expected & more. The condo had all the necessities I needed like toaster blender microwave stove and full refrigerator. I saw beautiful double rainbows, whales, turtles, & sunsets. There are some beach toys in the unit & out by the pool storage bin (floaters, fins, mask boogie boards & beach umbrellas). The complex itself was ideal for me. Quiet, Private beach, located near grocery store, ABC store (which has great deli/prepared hot food dishes, fish market, food trucks & 12 minutes from Lahaina. Week long Maui stay

This place was incredible! Right on the beach! My family was all in town at various resorts/condos within a mile of this condo and we definitely preferred ours over anything else. Everything you could need for a week in Maui, including spices, pots & pans,... more and whatever else you could need. Great spot with a comfy bed, the management is very friendly and VERY accommodating! We really enjoyed our experience here. It doesn’t have A/C (clearly disclosed) but that wasn’t a big deal for us as temperatures remained comfortable with the many fans we were provided. We didn’t see ANY bugs of any kind, which we were warned to be aware while in Maui. This condo is spacious and very clean. 10/10 recommend less

Perfect Location

I love this condo for many reasons. This is my 2d and to be many in October’s to come. My only concern is that the new grounds manager doesn’t hold a candle to Joe. In ten days I saw him once while fixing his gate... more and having parking lot trees trimmed. All the pigeon shit was all over patio and sea wall. We washed ourselves daily. Leaves around and in pool. Never saw him doing anything to improve the grounds or keeping sand out of pool by washing deck. I’ll be back but we sure miss the pristine surroundings Joe provided. Love this unit ! Some things that should be addressed : Cleaning should be thorough for $125. Glass shelving unit in living room needs to be dusted. It was very dusty. Vacuum all of unit , behind and underneath sleeper sofa was dirty. Wash bed... more spread EACH AND EVERY TIME. Bedroom lamps need updating. Lamp shades were old and bent. I had to get a shade replaced . Lizards get inside between screen doors. Needs rubber attachment so they can’t squeeze through. Unit needs sharp knives in the kitchen. Another pleasant stay

This was our second stay at condo 104. We had friends visiting Maui from Georgia so we decided to hop over to Maui and visit with them. I was happy to see that the condo was available. Unit 104 is always our choice for a one bedroom condo in Maui. It is so easy to work with Aloha condos and Gary. Views are beautiful. Nohonani offers such a relaxing vacation. Beautiful location and very nice condo

We were very impressed when we arrived at the accommodation and were so happy with the location, right on the beach. We walked out on to the lawn every day from our condo as we were on the ground floor and would often sit up... more on the sea wall with a cool beverage and watch the sun go down. The beach access was fantastic & we swam in the ocean daily rather than the pool. There was turtles resting up on the beach next to us & we kept our distance but still got some great photo's & all in all it was a lovely spot. less

Wonderful Location but needs TLC

We always enjoy our stay at the Nohonani Condos, but feel we must give you some helpful criticism to keep us coming back to this unit. It very much needs a deep cleaning and painting, especially the louvered doors. The mirror above the sink must... more be moved up as most people are taller than 5'4", and there is no plug in the sink. The sofa is in desperate need of being replaced. We had to put bed pillows underneath the cushions to keep them from sinking down to the mattress below. The television corner needs to be cleaned out and an updated unit installed, the fake flowers, too.The tacky beach mat should be taken down. The mismatched and odd kitchen dishes need to be replaced and there are no serving dishes for salads, veggies, or chips. Only 3 teaspoons! Last, the ocean side screen door comes off the rails every time you use it. I hope this helps you bring this unit up to its beautiful potential. less

We hope to return

When we entered 104, we were so happy. What a great condo! We only stay at small condo buildings - they are homier.104 sets back from 105 but we met our neighbors the next am. & visited all the time. Our view was ideal. We... more were along the path that goes to the pool and our private beach, and worried people would be passing by constantly. Did not happen. Renting at smaller condo bldgs. is they are owned by individuals - thus a few upgrades sometimes don’t get done like in the big hotel resorts. In 104’s case, the bed though very comfortable, is small (double?). A king-size bed would fit fine. One of us sometimes slept on the sofa which is old and creaky and should be replaced. We were often touring the island or on the lanai, at the pool or in the ocean so inside was okay. The owner should address the replacements. The unit was clean and we want to return. We hope we will. less

A true gem

I was looking at resorts but the price per night was much higher. My husband and I booked this condo for a long birthday weekend trip to Maui. I almost don't want to tell how great this condo was because then I might have a... more hard time booking again for our next trip to Maui. The condo was as shown in the photos and location was superb. I was a bit worried about it not having AC but loved falling asleep and waking to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We even kept the back door open and felt completely safe at night. The small beach was great for going out and snorkeling and of course loved watching the turtles play in the waves and lay on the beach. Sunsets and views of Lanai and Molokai were amazing. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay; plenty of towels, pillows and kitchen supplies. My only complaint is that the mirror by the bathroom sink was hung too low to be useful and I had to use the mirror by the bed. Otherwise, we look forward to returning to Maui and condo 104. less

Fantastic Relaxation on Maui

Nohonani provided all the amenities for a dream vacation. The atmosphere provided by a fantastic private beach and a well equipped condo made for a relaxing holiday. It is within walking distance to shopping and a small outdoor market. There are numerous other beaches along... more the road heading north. The town of Lahaina is a ten minute drive from the condo. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants. One highlight were the turtles who swam up and rested on our beach. A pod of whales appeared off the shore on day. The condo itseif is very well maintained and clean. There is a spacious deck area that is well equipped. We used one of the two bbq's for steaks one night. All the equipment and appliances are in excellent working order. To sum up, we would highly recommend Nohonani as a vacation destination. less

Return to Paridise

This is our second visit to this complex but first at this condo. We have been to Maui over a half a dozen times with family and friends, this was our first time coming alone. Because of this it is difficult not to compare. As... more we entered the condo we were again in awe of the view. It felt very private since the condo is set a bit back from the others. The condo itself was clean and tidy. Was a bit disappointed that there was not a "Welcome Basket" as we have usually received. The kitchen had most of the utensils you would need to prepare a meal. However, there was no cover for the drain in order to do dishes. Since there was only the two of us we had decided not to use the dishwasher. The kitchen could also use at least one large salad bowl. The bedroom had all that you needed. The bed was very comfortable and we sleep well. The bathroom area was very good. The nice large shower was appreciated. The only closet space was almost fully used with things left by the condo owner, we assumed. There was a large cabinet and walker that took up a lot of the space, which did not leave room for suitcases or space to hang things. Over all the place just looked like it needed a bit of TLC, maybe a bit of paint to freshen it up. Would stay there again, yes. Would we recommend this unit to other, yes. less

Outstanding accommodations

The condo is delightful and I would definitely consider it for a future visit to West Maui. I loved the ground floor location and the soothing sound of the waves during the night! The only issues I experienced were (1) The bathroom mirror/medicine cabinet is... more way too low for a normal sized person. (I'm 5'10" tall and could not see my face in the mirror without stooping over.) (2) It took several tries to get the dishwasher to actually run. It would start but never complete a cycle. (3) There was a note in the door upon my arrival asking me to see the building manager for a parking pass. I called Joe Webb and he said he would leave one on my door, but that never happened. A lovely condo with spectacular view!

We stayed at Nohonani #104 for 8 days for our honeymoon. The condos is very clean and well maintained. we really love the views, its absolutely amazing. Sleeping to the sound of the waves, and waking up to the sound of the waves was pure... more bliss. We enjoyed seeing turtles sleeping on the private beach outside our condo, and watching the sunset from our patio. I can't say enough about this condo, if you decide to go to Maui, i'd recommend staying at this condo more than staying at a resort. There's no resort fee, free parking, private beatch ,etc. Also right across the street, there is the fish market place that sells the best fish tacos i have ever had in my entire life, it was delicious. We can't wait to go back to this lovely condos next year! less

Nohonani 104 - Perfect

All information leading up to the arrival was accurate and timely. We arrived late on a Saturday night and awoke on Sunday morning to the sound of the ocean crashing against the beach, we stepped out of the door and there on the beach was... more not one but two giant sea turtles! We were all amazed and my son had a smile on his face from ear to ear! the condo is just as we had expected everything where it should be, very clean! The beach was amazing and we fell in love with the Lower Honoapiilani Road community. Plenty of beaches and shops, and things to keep you occupied in the Lower Honoapiilani community. Snokeling was fantastic we especially liked Black Rock, short drive or walk from the condo. This was BY FAR the best deal we've ever had for a vacation rental. How amazing was it to go to bed to the sound of the ocean just steps away from the door! Laundry facility across the hall, pool toys in the closet, farmers market, coffee shop & ABC store down the road, cabinets stocked with comdiments and toiletries...etc....we couldn't ask for more!! Great time

Relaxing to the waves

This was the last three days of our 13 day stay on beautiful Maui and we wanted to be right on the beach. This place was perfect! What a way to start my retirement. The unit was cozy, clean and comfortable. The beach access couldn't... more have been closer - just 12 steps out of our sliding door. The turtles came to sun on the beach and we swam around the reefs a few times and we sat on the beach with the comfortable lounge chairs that were provided. It couldn't have been better. Thank you. Right on the Water!

Great Place To Stay

We have been to Maui 10 times because we love this island the best. We usually stay in beach front condos when we come. This condo was the best. The condo itself was on a par with the other condos we've stayed in, but what... more stands out with us is the sand beach that comes with it. My wife and I our both beach lovers and what's a beach without sand. The snorkeling was great at the condo and just steps from your lanai. I would get up early and play a round of golf, while my wife slept in. When I get back from golf at around 1100 am, my wife would be out on the sand enjoying the beautiful view and reading a book. I would put on my swimming trunks and start snorkeling. What a great way to spend your 70th birthday. less

Loved the location.

It was great being able to step outside and be right next to a small, lovely beach. My only suggestion is that shampoo be provided, and a larger bar of soap. Otherwise, the unit was very well supplied.

Great view--Great place

Nohonani #104 was a great place for my husband and I. We would definitely stay there on our next visit to Maui. This condo had the best view in the complex and closest to the ocean. Furnishings for us were fine. There is no washer/dryer... more in the unit but is only 5 steps down the walkway. Clean throughout. Pool was nice and always plenty of room. Turtles sunbathing on the beach every day and tons of whales. The complex itself was great and Joe, propery manager, was the best manager we've ever experienced. He keeps the property in excellent condition and helped with anything asked. He was extremely friendly. I would recommend Nohonani #104 if you want to hear and be right on the ocean. Jerry and I enjoyed your condo very much, Could not have found a better location. The condo contained everything we needed and more. We looked forward every day for the turtles to come and watch the whales cavort. We appreciate your quick response to the... more kitchen sink leak. If I could make a couple suggestions? If this were my condo I would provide the guests with a Swiffer mop. It is not easy to clean floors with paper towels. When a stay is longer than a few days, the floor especially kitchen and bathroom need a little attention, Also, the shower is really nice and roomy but not much handy storage space in the sink area. A mirrored medicine cabinet would be very nice for makeup, shaving cream, etc. Overall we were happy in your condo. less

Paradise waiting outside our lanai door!

My husband and I (both retired) loved staying in Condo #104 at Nohonani Condos! The condo was plenty roomy for a couple with little demands. We went swimming every morning on the beach a few steps from our lanai! The fish and sea turtles were... more amazing and so close! The groundskeeper was so nice and kept everything clean and attended to. Only two suggestions; have the fans blowing before the arrival of guests. The condo was very hot the first night. After that it was pleasant with the fans going. 2nd suggestion - move the smoking area away from the garden. The smokers would smoke by the garbage/recycling area (appropriate), but smoke traveled right over the garden fence and into our front condo door! Yuck and gross, we aren't smokers and didn't want second hand smoke. We were lucky there were very few smokers during our week stay. less
