Old Hawaii vibe

The Good: excellent location, 1 minute to beach, balcony faces a quiet garden with a glimpse of the beach and ocean. Comfortable, well supplied, kind and responsive owner. Lovely little BBQ and picnic area, building has a friendly old-Hawaii vibe, great parking. Not so good: condo needs a reno, especially the kitchen, badly siliconed sink is a haven for bugs (Don’t leave any food on the counter). Only one ceiling fan, closet and bathroom doors are hard to open and close. No place to hang wet towels and bathing suits. No safe for money and passports. Overall, we enjoyed our week stay in this studio condo. less

Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Condo, it was located close to the beach and the nearby shopping areas. The condo was clean and it has decent amenities. We would book it again if we come back to this area of Maui.

All time best place!

We love staying at Napili Bay Resort! This was our fourth time staying there, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Maui. It’s all about the location, best beach, best sunsets, best swimming! I worried that w/o air conditioning, I’d be too warm, but there’s a lovely breeze blowing through, and it has everything you need. less

A wonderful stay in a beautiful place.

He had such a wonderful stay in July in #216. I'd wanted to stay at napili Bay for some time, as there is something special about it. I think I must have researched every room in the Napili Bay Resort before settling on 216, and I am happy I did. Yes it is set back from the water, but I really loved being right next to the trees with the birds chattering. It felt a little bit like our own private oasis back there. There was an issue during our stay with construction dates that had moved, but Kim was so nice and responsive, and made sure to go out of her way to help make things right. She even dropped off a yummy cinnamon bun the size of a dinner plate. The place is nicely appointed with pretty much anything you need. Even the kitchen had a bit more seasonings and oils than most places, which was nice to have. All in all it was a great stay and I'd love to come back. I must add that my heart breaks for Maui right now. The fires have been so devastating. The loses are beyond imagination, but the generosity, kindness and spirit of the people there will surely allow this phoenix to rise from the ashes. Pule i na mea a pau. Prayers for all. less

Owner/Manager Response

Thank you Leslie for your kind words. I’m so happy you had a good stay and that Condo 216 was comfortable for you, despite the construction noise. It was a pleasure to have you, and I hope to see you back in the future. This is a difficult time for the island and your words mean more than I can say at this time. Mahalo! Kim

Napili Bay Condo 216

We had a great time at this condo! It's so close to the water's edge and this bay is just beautiful! We like to visit Kaanapali but prefer the laid back vibe of Napili Bay. The Gazebo has the best breakfast and is just a short walk away past the tidepools. My husband likes the Loco Moco and I love the banana & macadamia nut pancakes. We got a take out order of their fried rice and then had it for lunch. Warmed it up in the condo and ate it at the beach! Having the beach chairs, umbrella and coolers available at the condo is a huge plus! Everything is very convenient...you don't have to worry about parking, there's Snorkel Bob's just minutes away and we had some good meals at Fond (great burger) and Joey's kitchen, happy hour at the Seahouse...just a very relaxing vacation! less

Thank you Mariska for your comments. You’ve captured all the magic! I’m so happy that you enjoyed your stay and come back soon! Mahalo, Kim

Perfect spot for 2

My sister and I went back to Napili, our favorite spot on Maui and stayed in Unit 216 for 9 days. Everything in the condo was well set up and organized and extremely comfortable. The unit is a very short walk (as in about a minute) to one of the best beaches on Maui. The condo grounds, which are very private, also include a laundry room and a very nice outside picnic area with gas grills which we used several times. After a hard day of sunning and swimming, it was nice to be able to relax outside for dinner with a glass of wine and then go back to the condo to watch our favorite Prime shows on the Roku TV. We will definitely go back. less

Napili Condo

Great location. Great beach access. Kitchen worked well, except for toaster. Great grill. Great shower. Bed worked well for 2 of us. Great parking. Great TV setup with Roku. Floors were a little dirty and too many little flying bugs, maybe those are just Maui things. All in all, a great visit to Maui. less

A Great Location on Napili Bay

This is our second time in Condo 216 and Kim (the owner) has made it very comfortable. We enjoy the view from our lanai of the water and Molokai. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and BBQ in the common area. Sunsets are looked forward to with the other people staying at Napili Bay Resort. Activities include snorkeling, sunbathing (really, an activity?, well it does require moving to get more sun or shade under the provided umbrella at times), reading that book (again being distracted by people -watching and conversation with other beach chair occupants, walking along the shore to the Sea-house for happy hour, walks up Pineapple Hill and the trail on the ocean’s edge, whale watching and of course turtles surfacing near the shore. The Gazebo next door famed for its macadamia nut pancakes only a few steps away, too. Whatever your vision of “paradise” might be, I am certain a stay in 216 will help fill the dream with lasting memories of Maui! less

Nicely furnished. Comfortable mattress. Enjoyed the ocean view from balcony with comfortable patio furniture. Kim very helpful and responsive.

The best studio on Maui!

We've traveled to Maui for the past thirty years and always stayed at the Kapalua Golf Villas. We thought that was 'the' place to be. Then we decided to expand our horizons and stayed in Condo 216 at the Napili Bay Resort in February 2022. It was a big leap, going from a one bedroom with huge lanai to a studio. However, after staying in Kim's condo, we will never go back to Kapalua. The studio was perfect for us, and while the lanai isn't the same size as those in Kapalua, we could sit and watch the whales and actually hear the waves in the evening; those same waves lulled us to sleep every night. Instead of walking fifty steps to reach a pool at Kapalua, we could walk fifty steps and sink our toes into the sandy shores of the beautiful Napili Bay. Staying at 216 made us feel as though we were truly in 'old Hawaii,' something you can't put a price tag on. We've already booked time at Napili Bay 216 for 2023 and 2024. less

Great location, no ac

The best thing about the condo was the location. It has a nice view and access to the beach. It was nice that it came with beach chairs and umbrella. Condo had everything you needed.. The smart tv and internet were great too. The downside is that it’s really small and there is no ac. There is a nice breeze, but if you come in the hottest months , there is no break from the heat and humidity. It says it sleeps 4 , but with the sofa bed out, you can barely walk the length of the condo. There was only two of us and it felt cramped. Host is responsive and helpful. But bottom line, I wouldn’t stay there again. You can’t change he size….. you could add an ac u it, but then they would need to fix the windows that wouldn’t even shut. Not that you could bear to have them shut in the hotter weather… less

Loved staying at Napili Bay Resort #216!!!

12 years ago we stayed in the same resort so when we came this time there was no hesitation to book again! We are already talking about going again in the near future and have already referred others to Kim's condo! We had a perfect stay and will absolutely book #216 again!!! less

Met basic expectations

A few slight improvements at a extremely low cost could improve the quality of stay for your guests. However I will not go into those details here as I tried to offer that input during my stay. Once the condo was completed for our stay, which happened after our check in, it was very clean. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for about every cooking need, including BBQ utensils. Plenty storage for your clothes, gear and bags. less

Enjoying the Aloha Spirit

Just came back from 2 weeks in Condo 216. I still think I'm there. We have stayed at several Aloha Condos at Napili and it's our second stay in 216. They are all nice condos but we liked the privacy and and were very happy with what the owner provides throughout. Kim is a gracious host and we could tell she puts a lot of effort into making the experience special. Sitting on the lanai and watching the waves roll in and the sounds of 100's of birds singing out in the morning and evenings is something to experience. I know I'll be coming back. The only question is how soon. less

Maui Escape

My Wife Jackie and I have visited Maui nearly every year for the past 15 and Napili seems to be the spot we return to for many reasons. Among these reasons is the Napili Bay Resort and it’s laidback “island style” attitude. Condo 216’s new owner is a very nice person whose goal is to offer the best experience (or Hawaiian “DaKine” experience). Condo 216 has a partial view of Napili Bay but is only a minute walk to the sandy beach. Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella are provided for your relaxation on the beach. Parking is never a worry and the bbq area is a great place to meet others from all over USA and Canada. Definitely an excellent spot for couples wishing to escape the cold weather or busy daily life while in Napili. If you want to hang near a pool and have drinks served you, never mind! less

Need inside table

Everything was good except there was no indoor table to eat on. The eating table was outside, but with outside light and darkneds at 6pm, there was no comfortable place to eat at 7pm

Wonderful Visit

Unit 216 was perfect for my vacation at Napili Bay. The unit was very clean, private, quiet and comfortable. The patio has a nice view of the ocean. The bay is perfect for relaxing on the beach, snorkeling, paddle boards and boggie boards. The laundry area, BBQ area and parking were all very convenient. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. The walk to Kapaula Beach and the Kapalua Walking Trail is also very close and easy. Driving the other direction, there is beach parking available for the Kanaapali Beaches. The walkway along the beach and all the way down to the Hyatt is amazing. If you are looking for a very relaxing place to stay, this is a great location. The owners are very nice and I would recommend the Napili Bay Resort and unit 216. less

My wife and I so enjoyed staying at Napili Bay Resort 216 !! The unit was so comfortable and well equipped with everything needed. We truly felt we were at home in Maui. Many thanks for making our trip so memorable!! Aloha!! Randall

#216

Overall - very good. Unit needs a few cosmetic touch-ups. Also needs an IT specialist to go over all the various A/V cables, etc. that have accumulated over the years to see which ones are of any use. Same goes for utensil bucket by the stove. Site upkeep, parking and beech access are outstanding! less

Great stay

My wife and I spent 8 nights here. It’s so convenient here. We can walk out our door and through the gate to the beach. We walked to Kapalua Bay as well. It’s about a ten minute walk. It was so nice not to need to park the car to enjoy Napili Bay and Kapalua. We saw turtles and fish in both bays. This condo is an excellent value and well kept. The pictures are very accurate. We ate at the Gazebo restaurant for breakfast and its huge portions. We also enjoyed the Sea House restaurant for happy hour. The sunsets from the lanai were gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great 8 days. less

Wonderful stay in a nice condo

This is a great little condo with a partial ocean view of Napili Bay. Everything we needed was there to enjoy our vacation -- a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and furnishings, and a lanai that, although small, was private and a great place to enjoy morning coffee and evening meals. We appreciated having beach chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards to take to the beach. The location was a big plus -- Napili Bay is just beautiful, and a great place to snorkel, swim or relax in the sun. Condo was also an excellent value. less

Napili Bay Studio Unit 216

A satisfactory stay at studio unit 216 after difficulty entering with the lockbox stored key. Keys inside worked ok during stay. No welcome package and no instructions for working the cable tv thus not able to view regular tv channels. Shower drainage not good. Plenty of beach chairs and boogey boards. Kitchen cupboards and wardrobe tired looking and could do with replacing. Bed comfortable. Local contact could not be reached on cell number provided in booking information so had to live with the shower drainage problem. less

Great location

The location was perfect, quaint and clean and very affordable. I appreciate the Napili Bay area since I was there years ago and have come back to the same spot every year. Thanks Hans for the great place and comfortable condo!

— Trisha, Stayed 10/22/2019

Nice Place

Nice place, clean, simple, well stocked, great parking (in a difficult to park area) easy walk to the bays, and a beautiful look out to ocean from lanai that also has morning shade. On upper, second level a plus. Good for one or a couple. Also a good weekly price in Napili area. Would add another star if air conditioner, tho only needed in summer. less

Great week on Maui

I was told about Napili Bay Resort by my best friend and his wife, They have been 7 times. We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay for the week. The complex is smaller and has all of the amenity's you need, the beach is within a minute walk from your room. Our room wasn't the best, but clean and well equipped for what little time we spent in it. Would for sure go back! less

— Jay, Stayed 02/04/2019

Napili Bay 216

Pros - A comfortable room with a comfortable bed close to beautiful Napili Beach. A limited view of the beach from the lanai. Nice to have the beach chairs to use. Cons- Dishwasher is a hazard as it was partially installed without actually fastening it to the cabinet. The dishwasher falls forward out of the cabinet dangerous for children. Bare minimum of kitchenware to use for any kind of cooking Nice showerhead but minimal water coming out. Other than that a comfortable place to stay! less

— Belinda, Stayed 08/23/2018

condo exactly as advertised

Condo exactly as advertised. Owner and manager do a good job of providing all the basic necessities as well as a comfortable living space. Only reason I did not give it a five star rating is that the shower was luke warm (at best). I doubt if there is anything the owner can do about that and it could be a function of the use in the condo complex. less

— john, Stayed 12/13/2017

Pretty, pretty good.

The condo was great for the most part. The "open" bathroom walls, especially right by the kitchen were a little disconcerting, however. Also, we have never stayed at a condo/vacation home/airbnb that did not have at least some basic condiments such as mayonaisse, ketchup or mustard. Some of our "neighbors" spoke of lovely welcome packages upon their arrival, we found no evidence of this. So we would stay there again, but probably not in this unit. less

— Gina, Stayed 11/20/2017

fantastic value & location

We had just a wonderful stay at this condo. While finishes and appliances are dated, we LOVED the location, the peekaboo view of the ocean from the lanai, and the ease of getting to the beach. We will come again next year! Great value for the location and the construction next door was not noticeable for us until the last day. Thanks for a wonderful stay! less

— yvonne, Stayed 11/05/2017

Missing one thing

Everything was fine except I would have liked to know that there was no air conditioning. There were several days where there really wasn’t any breeze. Because of this I wouldn’t stay here again, if others don’t mind staying in a warm sometimes hot room then this is for them. Having chairs, boogie boards and towels was a great extra. less

— Shannon, Stayed 10/15/2017

May trip to Maui

We have stayed at The Napili Bay several times and have enjoyed ourselves every time. The location is superb, the walk to a great beach takes all of 90 seconds and the condos are small but well kept and perfect for a quiet vacation close to the water. We enjoy the outside BBQ/eating area. Not only is Maui expensive when it comes to eating out, but after a long day of playing in the water, it's great to relax at home with some grilled meat and some salads and a large glass of wine. This is a vacation destination for folks who want to relax and chill out. We will definitely go back. less

— Lois M, Stayed 05/17/2017

amazing stay!

My daughter and I rented 216 for one week. We had an amazing time on the beach and on the property itself. Our room was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, entertainment supplies and recreational supplies. I enjoyed the deck and spent hours watching whales and many colorful birds. We would indeed come back again. The only downside to our stay was the attitude of the people who own their own condo. We felt the negativity as well as others who were renting like myself. I am a social person so I was able to overcome the attitudes. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity. less

Honeymoon stay

We went for 5 nights for our honeymoon and had such a great time! We could hear and see the beach from our condo patio! There was already beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards and flotation noodles on the back deck for us! The room was a good size and very clean when we checked in!! We even tried to extend our stay another night but couldn't change our flights! We will definitely be back to napili and probably staying much longer! Definitely recommend these condos!! less

— Michael and Camille , Stayed 02/27/2017

Lovely setting, great beach

Napili Bay is low key and relaxing. #216 was well appointed with beach chairs and boogie boards, Noise travels between the lanai balconies, annoying if neighbors have loud voices at mealtime.

— Stephen, Stayed 02/19/2017

Relax at Napili Bay 216

This was our third time staying at Napii Bay. Our first time in Unit 216. It is set up to accommodate 4 adults and is very comfortable for two. It had everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped, 4 new beach chairs, beach umbrella for those hot sunny days and beach towels. The lanai allows a good view of beach and ocean and is shaded in the afternoon. We really enjoyed the high top table and chairs on the lanai, it allows you to see over the railing. The condo was clean and ready to go when we arrived in late afternoon. Everything worked out exactly as we hoped. We would stay at 216 again for sure. The resort has ice machine, laundry and new propane grills that we used, no pool but the ocean is right out the door. We love this beach and ease of access. less

— R Mark, Stayed 02/04/2017

Super dirty

The condo was extremely dirty. So much so that we left early. There were also many items that did not work; the remote control, the light in the main room, and the door to the deck was extremely hard to open. I've stayed at the Napili Bay condos numerous times before and they have always been great. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Napili Bay condos just not in 216. less

My stay in 216

I had a recent vacation to the lovely island of Maui and stayed in Napoli bay resort condo 216. When pricing places to stay this was amongst the best rates during the time frame I wanted. Took less than 1 minute to get to the beach, the room itself was a little small but why stay in when you're in Hawaii?! I'd definitely stay here again. Some of the courtesy snorkel equipment was banged up, there was a snorkel rental 2-3 minutes walk away so not a problem. If you're like me and just look at rooms for the purpose of sleeping and cooking an occasional meal, this is it. The stove, refrigerator, and other appliances were up to date as well. less

A wonderful trip to Maui

We enjoyed a wonderful 10 day stay at Napili Bay Resort, Condo 216. We went to celebrate my 60th birthday and had a terrific time! The location is perfect--we've stayed many different areas in Maui, and the Napili area is our favorite. The snorkeling, turtles, beach/ocean swimming, and tropical scenery were magnificent! We rented bikes at the bike shop in Lahaina, and spent 2 days on some beautiful rides. The hiking in the area is great also! Condo 216 was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything one would need--we actually ate out only 5 times. We cooked in and used the nice barbeque area for the rest of our meals. The bed was very comfortable The lanai had a nice ocean side view and you could hear the waves, birds, and wind every morning. The trade winds blew straight thru the condo, making it very comfortable--never was too hot, just nice. Thank you for sharing the nice beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels, and cooler. We felt right at home, and Condo 216 was a perfect vacation stay! Thank you for everything, Cyndi and Marty less

Amazing vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in condo 216 back in March. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. It had everything you could ever need! The owner was helpful and everything went smooth, no problems at all! We are currently planning our next trip to Maui and we will definitely be booking this condo again! Can't wait to be back! less

Great place...very nice inside. They worked with us by allowing us to transfer our food from 218. Would stay in 216 again as it was very classy and clean.

Nice place on a nice beach!

Nice condo with view of the beach. Close to breakfast place, and steep, sandy beach. Lots of fun!

November vacation

Had a great stay in Condo 216. We found the bed and room layout were very comfortable, and had a decent view of the sea from the balcony, with lots of wind sounds through the trees outside. I did find that the closeness of our neighbours lent to some lack of privacy outside, but one got used to it. Thanks for the use of the beach chairs, and the cooler! My husband loved the modern BBQs and we both loved being able to access beautiful Napili Bay in just a few steps. Walking distance or a short drive to Kapalua Bay and its awesomely scenic coastal hike. I have already recommended this place to my friends at its very reasonable price. Will be back! less

— Wanda, Stayed 11/26/2015

Great Value

For the price, this place cannot be beat for location and amenities. Overall, I would highly recommend as the condo is clean and well stocked with all the kitchen dishes and utensils one would ever need. There are certainly signs of wear and tear in places, but it is far from being considered dilapidated. With that being said, the bed is comfortable, furniture is adequate (albeit well used), the WIFI is speedy, and the bathroom is functional. You will certainly not be disappointed. My only warning is that the currents and waves, while we were there in October, in Napili Bay are too large and strong for small children (in my opinion less than 3 years old). We ended up going to Baby Beach in Lahaina as a result. less

Napili Bay

The accommodation was incredible value. The location great and the apartment perfect for our needs. We had a wonderful visit and already planning our next vacation there. We would highly recommend staying at Napili Bay to everyone visiting Maui. Thank you.

Waking up to the sound of waves, cocks crowing, and native birds ...

We had a lovely stay at Napili Bay Resort. The condo has everything guests need for the beach, cooking, and rest. We were not there all that much, because Maui and Napili Bay are wonderful, but it was exactly what we needed while in the room. There are only a few downsides and I mention them chiefly because I don't want to have too many people competing with me for a stay there ... there is the smell of moldy wood in the closet, the sliding wall door gets stuck when in the bathroom, and since there is no fan, it takes a while for the windows to air out bathroom smells. less

— AlaskanRambler, Stayed 03/16/2015

Great place for the money.

I travel to Maui every year. This location is perfect. The view from the small, private patio is beautiful, and the condo couldn't be cleaner. You hear the waves at night it is so quiet. Loved it and will definitely return.

— LisaN1234, Stayed 07/26/2014

Great location

It's exactly as advertised...modest sized studio on Napili Bay. good kitchen facilities (can use a few better cutting knives for food prep but that's getting picky). Nice little lanai. Figure you might have to do some wash in the onsite laundry room if run short on towels. The place is very clean and secure and it seems there is a nice mix of other tenants. The complex is very well kept. Very friendly and a great value. Advertised Wi-Fi but I had trouble getting it to work. less

— Tom W, Stayed 10/12/2013

Just what we expected. :)

We have stayed in the Napili Bay Condos before in another unit. This unit had a better view and bed than the last one. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the resort to anyone. We will be back again. I will say that our unit needed a new lightbulb in one of the lamps and could've used some draino in the bathtub, and just some overall light upkeep throughout, but those things did not detract from our stay in any way. We were happy to be in Hawaii, as we had a much worse experience with allegiant air, who made us lose a night of our condo stay because of a cancelled flight and extremely poor customer service. Napili Bay condos and condo 216=spectacular!! Allegiant air=never again! less

The perfect condo experience

We had an awesome time at condo 216 - Napili Bay Resort. What we liked the most about his condo was that it was clean, it had free parking and wifi and it was located on a fantastic little beach where you could snorkel and swim. The condo also had beach equipment including snorkel gear. We also took advantage of the Bbqs and laundry facilities on site. The condo isn't far from Napili Plaza where you can get anything you need. Thanks 216! less

Great find!

I found this resort in a guidebook listing it as a good find and it really was! Condo 216 was very clean and has a wonderful location, just steps away from the ocean. Some of the decor was a bit out-dated, but overall for the price, the size was perfect. The condo was well-equipped with beach chairs, mats, body boards, snorkel gear, etc. There were even some VHS movies (those should probably be removed now). We didn't have a blender so we actually bought one and left it at the condo so future guests could use it. It was nice to have a kitchen and patio where we could watch the surfers every morning. There are some great grills on-site too which we used frequently to avoid the cost of eating out every night. There were also laundry facilities. Parking was never a problem. The owners made checking in very easy. I would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay there again. less

Peaceful, with garden and partial ocean view

I spent 3 nights in Napili Bay condo unit #216 and would definitely return! It's a perfect location - walking distance to the beach, snorkel and paddleboat rentals, restaurant, grocery stores and plenty of parking. Napili Bay is excellent for swimming, baking in the sun and snorkeling. The unit was very clean and well decorated. It's a studio and on a smaller side, but the bed was very comfortable and furniture well placed so it seemed bigger. Birds and the ocean can get a little loud, but I got used to it quickly. This place felt like home rather than someone else's condo or a hotel. I've visited Hawaii 3 times, and this was my favorite place to stay. less

We love Napili Bay

Had I not stayed in unit #214 previously I wouldn't know things could be different. The condo was very comfortable and we love this resort. The mattress was great! Most important to a good stay. Loved the smoothie maker! The kitchen was nicely stocked. The overall look was pleasing of the unit. The place needs a good cleaning, I found lots of dust and dirt around the furniture that looked like it hadn't been moved in years. Even an empty cigarette box. Just a few things, having just two kitchen towels and four bath towels didn't work for us. I wasn't thrilled to have to spend my time doing laundry so we could have clean towels. Same with beach towels. Unit #214 had double the amount of towels. We also ended up having to buy toilet paper on our next to the last day. Someone had also left one Kleenex in the box. The tile floor in the main living area is a real pain. I had to sweep the floor at least twice a day to pick up as much sand as possible even though we took our shoes off. The sand came in on our beach chairs, towels etc even though we tried to clean everything off before bringing it in. The light in the ceiling fan did not work and the fan is very unstable so we could only use it on low. We very glad there was a floor fan to use or we would have been miserable. Would be wonderful to have lights on each side of the bed for reading. Deanna did a great job of trying to make things right for us. All in all it is a very nice unit and we would come back. Thank you less

Picture perfect

We had an awesome time. If the weather was fair we would just do one of our other activities. It was so easy to book and e-mail the owners regarding any information or questions. Nothing went wrong. Loved staying at a small complex. Even if the complex was full we hardly ever saw the other vacationers. The beach was to die for. Loved it!!! If we decide to visit next year we will be staying here. less

Ideal location on one of Maui's best beaches

Comfortable and clean and although not actually beach front, access to the beach was as good as the actual beach frontage units. We loved the location, close to stores and parking was very convienent. On site manage ment was friendly and helpful and the owners local contact was very responsive and pleasant regarding the one minor problem we had. It all made for a great relaxing vacation! less

Fantastic Trip to Napili Bay in Room 216!

My Fiancee and I recently spent 3 nights in room 216. The location is ideal, the private beach is steps away and the renters in the other units are really friendly. Everything you need is just up the street. There is a market that is open until 11pm, which really came in handy. We had a rental car too so we could cruise the rest of the island. The parking at the condo was free which is a nice perk that not a lot of hotels offer. The beach was one of the best beaches we visited in Maui. The water was calm, which make it perfect for snorkelling. We even saw a sea turtle! Looking forward to another trip to Napili Bay Resort! less

Wow!

We met friends there and they were so jealous of our condo compared to theirs! King sized bed - fantastic! Complete and remodeled condo with full and well equipped kitchen, lanai with many beach accessories (body boards, chairs, coolers), great TV, easy access to a lovely beach. Every time I used the kitchen, I found the things that I needed to be there and handy (except for soap for the dishwasher). There was a lovely breeze flowing through the condo at all times, and plenty of fans to further cool things off if need be, which it didn't. Beach towels were supplied, as were very nice towels for the bathroom. Shower was great - just like we used to have and brought back good memories of our old home :)Thank you for sharing such a lovely home with us - we had a super time and would love to come back again some day! less

Paradise found in Napili!

Could not have chosen a better location to stay for my (1st) Maui vacation this past May. The condo has everything that you would need to make yourself feel comfortable including items to enjoy at the beach (beach chairs, boogie boards, etc.) Even binoculars! The condo was clean, well put together and just as shown in the pictures. No CRT, but a flat screen LCD and a blu-ray player! The room did get a bit warm at times when there wasn't any winds passing through but it never got too uncomfortable (keep the windows open for a nice cool breeze and listen to the some waves). There was some construction nearby going on during my stay but it was a minor distraction and no fault of the condo. The owner and condo caretaker responded promptly to any questions I had. The only real downside I had was that I had to leave! Next time I plan a trip to Maui, this condo will be the first place I look at. less

Napili Bay Resort still rocks!

Five years after our first visit, my wife and I returned for our 10th anniversary -- and found Unit No. 216 to be even better than the neighboring unit where we stayed last time. The condo clearly has been well maintained and recently reappointed, and it was well-stocked with everything we needed during our four-day stay. The kitchen, in particular, was a gem. The only downside was unavoidable; due to the slack tradewinds and the usual cross-ventilation, the lack of air-conditioning was especially noticeable this trip. However, everything else was great, and we'll definitely consider another visit. less

Perfect!!!

We stayed at condo 216 at Napili Bay from april 4th to april 7th as part of our honeymoon. From there, we went to Kauai for another few days. We loved our stay at Napili Bay! Everything about it was perfect. I found this condo online, and the entire process was very easy to complete. The owners of the condo stayed in touch with me about what was being charged and when, and they also provided me with all of the info I needed about the condo, facilities, directions from the airport, etc. It was so nice not having to check in at a front desk. The key was waiting for us in a lock box right outside of our door. The condo had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed, a full kitchen, snorkel and boogie board gear, a flat screen t.v., and an outstanding view from our lanai. Evey night, we got to sleep to the waves of the ocean, and every morning, we woke up to the birds singing. The beach is steps away! While we loved Kauai, we were sad to leave condo 216. It was just not enough time there! We're already planning our trip back for next year. I would recommend this condo to anyone! less

a quiet and memorable retreat

We loved our stay in Napili Resort #216. A full kitchen well supplied allowed more time at home and chance to sit on the lanai and watch whales while eating our meals. The condo had beach chairs and everything we needed to enjoy the beach only seconds away. It was very quiet and was a wonderful home away from home for the week. Would highly recommend this condo. It was very private, yet could still enjoy the partial view of the water. The tsunami evacuation was our only downside, but in the end everything turned out well. Whales are still sight and enjoyed snorkeling and swimming in the bay. less

Great Location, Relaxed atmosphere

Napili Bay is one of those unsung locations in Maui. This was my second visit to the area in 20 years and I will not hesitate to return to the area, particularly to the Napili Bay Condos. Room 216 was well appointed, clean and comfortable. After staying at another unit right on the beach, I would have to say 216 was a better location as it was hard to get used to the sound of the pounding surf (small price to pay for staying in paradise!). While still having a nice partial ocean view 216 was less noisy than units right on the beach. I would not hesidated booking again at the Napili Bay Condos! less

Homey

This place had most everything we needed, and was very comfortable. Appreciated the new towels, bed comfort and the well equipped kitchen and Bar B Q area, plus beach chairs. We missed having a table indoors, as we like to play games in the evening. Also, the key pad is not lit at night, and we forgot to bring a flashlight so it took some doing to enter the code in the dark. We befriended many of the regulars, and this really made our stay more fun. I would like to stay at Napili Bay again and continue to experience and explore Maui. less

A little piece of paradise

Loved the Napili Bay Resort. The beach is beautiful and only a short walk across the parking lot. If you need air conditioning, this is not the place for you, but if you like sleeping with the windows open and fans, it's great. Also liked that the condo had flippers, boogie boards, etc., for us to use. I can't rate the service, because we never spoke to anyone once we arrived. I was a little concerned about just having a combination for a lock box to get a key for the door to the condo, however, everything worked fine. A beautiful beach! less

Great Little Place

A compact studio condo that has everything you need for a stay on Maui. Napili Bay is a great family beach with some snorkeling and convenient restaurants. Nearby beaches had even better snorkeling, and there were hikes a short drive away. We took advantage of the grills and laundry on the property, and the well-equipped kitchen in the condo. Cool breezes made it fine that there was no air conditioning. View of beach just as promised. Chairs on the lanai were a little uncomfortable, but necessary in height for the view. Enjoyed the boogie board, beach chairs and mats so we didn't have to bring any. This is a great location and a reasonably priced place to stay. less

It was a wonderful experience.

I stayed in Room 216 for the first time in 1985. I loved it then and have stayed there 4 or 5 times since. Since my last stay the room was remodeled with very nice floring, a new kitchen (with dishwasher) and a new bathroom. Wi-fi has been added (the required code is included in an email from the room owner) so I had high-speed access to the internet from my phone. Very nice. The bed linens were cotton and very comfortable. I have no complaint whatsoever. And the price is fantastically low. I'll put it this way - I paid more in 1985 than in 2010. And I don't mean in inflated dollars, I mean I paid $85/night in 2010 and $90/night in 1985. less

Keep it a Secret!

This is the 3rd summer we stayed in unit 216. We love it so much that we got married right out on the beach outside our condo this summer. It's "our place". We almost hate to tell folks about Napili Bay Resort...it's our secret hide-away. We rented two other units for family which were both nice, too. We still think 216 is the best value...great kitchen, nice view, good bed (we wrap bubble wrap around the bed leg as it can be sharp if you stub a toe on it!), good view, lovely furnishings! Perfect for our needs

My wife and I stayed in Unit 216 of Napili Bay for 5 nights. This unit was well appointed, clean and perfect for what we needed and wanted. It was certainly not deluxe accommodations, but I dont know of any other place where you can have a condo on the beach for under $100 per night! I think you could not have more than 2 people in these units, they are small. Also, in case you don't know, there is no air conditioning in these units. We really only slept there and did not mind the fans and the ocean breeze, but I think this could be a problem for some people who are more sensitive to the heat. The view of the ocean from this condo is indirect, but not bad, and I actually enjoyed not being on the bay front where it is more noisy and people can look into the window... We return to Napili every year and would not stay any other place in Maui. We love the quiet and would recommend it to anyone who loves a quieter more family-friendly beach vacation. But please don't tell anyone, we want to keep the crowds and high prices in Kaanapali! less

Napili on the cheap

We had a minor snafu upon arrival - the maids indicated that they did not know we were coming and we had to wait for 2 1/2 hours while they cleaned the condo. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay. We usually stay at Napili Kai Beach Club, but we were on a budget this trip and the condo suited us well. We ate breakfast in every day, and had a couple of dinners on the lanai. There was no view from this unit, but we were steps from the beach. Complex was quiet and teh BBQs worked fine. We saved lots of money and still got to stay on the best beach in West Maui. We would stay here again! less

great hidden spot

The condo was a cozy little place with everything you could need-- a kitchen stocked with dishes and some spices if you plan to cook, beach towels, snorkels and masks, etc. The location is fantastic. We ate breakfast every day on the lanai, staring out at the gorgeous view. Then we'd go out snorkeling somewhere nearby and come back for lunch, then go back out to the beach or sightseeing. Home again to shower and change, and then we'd head out for a swanky dinner in Lahina or Kaanapali (short drive). The only drawback of this spot (if there is one) is that the complex doesn't have a pool. But it is within walking distance of a little grocery market to stock your fridge with breakfast and lunch foods. Also just down the beach is a pretty swanky resort with great food and drinks. Great spot and great money saver. After staying at one of the big hotels in Kaanapali and here, we'd definitely choose to stay here again. less

Beautiful setting but crowded noisy beachh

Well, it is in stunningly gorgeous settting and right on the beach. The condo is small but clean and attractive and well maintained. In general it has a wonderful welcoming and homey feel with (mostly) very friendly people of all sorts staying at the condo complexes. The bed was very comfy. There were a few big cockroaches who would visit for snacks under the couch. Despite lots of fans, we had trouble keeping cool and there is no no way to fully close the windows against the crashing waves and roaring ocean. This disrupted/prevented sleeping. We also had a hard time finding space on the beach and were often bothered by loud people who tended to yell and smoke cigarettes. Blech. Oh well, I guess I need my own private paradise! (haha haha) If you are a gregarious, hard of hearing person who likes to be in a crowd, you will have fun at this condo. We stayed in Wailea during subsequent visits. less

Perfect spot for our 'non-resort' honeymoon

We stayed in Napili Bay Condo 216 for the second week of our honeymoon in June 2002 and really loved it. We found this spot online after searching for something that would be chill and not 'resort-y', was inexpensive, was on the beach, and had high speed internet. We loved this place. The beach was just outside the condo. There was a great coffee shop just down the road (Java Jazz & Soup Nutz). Many of the guests before us had written in the guest book -- both about how much they enjoyed their stay and about the sea turtles you could find swimming in a small cove nearby. We also found the turtles (and even managed to get a few surprisingly decent pictures with a disposable underwater camera!). The high speed internet worked perfectly and was very useful in planning our mini-trips around the island. We had a fantastic time staying in this condo and will look into it when we return to Maui. I highly recommend it. less

It was perfect!

Our week at Napili Bay Resort (Unit 216) was perfect! The condo was clean, with a great kitchen, comfortable king size bed and all the needed conveniences (including beach towels). The management of the complex was friendly, helpful and accessible and the overall maintenance of the grounds and building was excellent. Unit 216 is just off of the beach, which ensured quiet and privacy. The ocean is just a few steps away and Napili Bay is a great beach, more low-key than the more "touristy" areas. There are some incredible inlets for snorkling just a few miles down the highway. The website and photos are perfectly representative of the unit and complex. It is an excellent value for the price. Paradise on Earth

We enjoyed two wonderful weeks in condo 216 in February 2009, and we will definitely return if we ever get the chance to go to Hawaii and Maui again. This was our first time in Hawaii, and we are still full of sun and sounds from the waves outside the Napili Bay, of whale tours, evenings in Lahaina, and the Road to Hana with spectacular views. Nice Place

I have stayed on this property several times, in a different unit. The other unit is identical but cheaper, with better furnishings and a lot more aloha (fruit basket, tropical flowers and coffee provided). Unit 216 was well appointed, but did not include a basket of fruit, although previous online reviews stated that one was provided (and that it contained the best pineapple the writers had ever eaten). If the owner/rental company would like to have a fruit basket sent to my home now, I would appreciate it, and revise my review accordingly. Also, there was no dining table and there were no chairs at all inside the unit. Other than that, everything we needed was there. It was clean and pleasant. It could use a music system to play CDs. The only audio was a little clock radio with scratchy sound. The kitchen was well equipped. We bring our own snorkel gear, but more was available in the unit, as well as boogie boards, beach mats and picnic gear. We had a great time on Maui, as we always do. We love Napili Bay and Kapalua. less
