As all... more of the previous reviews have mentioned, the attention to detail in all aspects of the condo was done with careful thought to what someone would need while staying in Maui at the beach. Quality was considered in every detail. The beautiful panoramic view from the balcony of the entire bay from Lanai to Molokai took our breath away. I still imagine the sound of lapping waves outside our lanai as we slept. We loved that there was always plenty of parking whenever we returned from an adventure on the island and we appreciated the daily maintenance of the outside property. Lisa's communication skills were stellar and we always felt she honestly cared about our time in Hawaii. Thank you, again. The moment we left was the moment we couldn't wait to return. PS. After I wrote this but before I sent it, the devastating fires of Lahaina deeply shook our souls. We had been home for 2 weeks when this tragedy occurred. Lovely condo on Napili Bay

Such a lovely condo, great location on Napili bay, with a lovely beach and shore break. The condo is updated and kitchen is well appointed. We stayed for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We appreciate the beach towels, umbrella, and beach chairs... more provided. The condo is perfect for 2 adults. There are a few descent restaurants nearby, and the location is walking distance to Kapalua and the Ritz Carlton and their amenities. The location is ideal for those who want to enjoy the beach, as we did,. From the balcony, we saw turtles, a few whales, and dolphins. My only complaint is that not all neighbors are respectful of others on the balconies. Several mornings as early as 6:00 am, we had neighbors out on their balconies talking on the cell phones and having loud conversations. We hope to return again soon! less

Napili Bay Resort #203

My husband and I returned for the 4th time to this wonderful condo. It is perfect for us with the lanai overlooking the Napili Bay which stays in the shade and a perfect viewpoint to see the whales. I can walk to Kapalua Bay for... more great snorkeling and a beautiful coastal walk. The condo has recently been remodeled. My only recommendation is to bring ear plugs because the waves are loud for sleeping at night. less

Great place to spend a few days

Amazing stay at Napili Bay

Balcony to beach in 20 seconds, literally! The only thing closer to the water is a cruise ship! Absolutely perfect stay in unit 203 at Napili Bay. We found the newly updated unit to be well appointed (kitchen utensils/gadgets, beach chairs, umbrella, plenty of towels,... more etc) and very clean. The grounds are lush and green, and rather private on a semi-active beach. The key-gate separating the beach and the condos prevents any non-guest foot traffic while not causing any nuisance to residents/renters. We felt very safe and did not have any issues or concerns about safety, parking, etc. We were a little concerned about not having air conditioning, but that was not an issue at all in a typical 75 degree January week. We found the ocean breeze and ceiling fans more than enough to keep the unit at the perfect temperature both day and night. No need for a white noise machine as the ocean waves provided great sound for a restful night. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony looking at whales in the distance (we brought binoculars) and turtles swimming near the shore. The water was calm most days and provided beautiful, clear water for swimming, floating, some snorkeling, and other water sports. When the waves increased we saw surfers and boogie boarders having a lot of fun. The beach was steps from the unit and never felt too busy. We enjoyed eating at the Beach House restaurant, an easy walk down the beach or on the street. Happy hour was very reasonably priced and delicious. We have stayed in several rentals on various Hawaiian islands and we have no suggestions/changes to this unit, it is absolutely perfect and we have no hesitations on giving it a full recommendation and look forward to returning again soon! less

Omg loved this place !

We stayed in this condo for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. It gets hot during the day but there is a constant breeze that really helps. You need a car or scooter to get around. There is a shopping center about 15 mins away... more walking distance but it’s a little bit uphill. The condo itsself was great ! No issues with anything. We have only stayed in condo 203 about 4 different times now, it is a perfect place for enjoying Hawaii life, right on the sand almost - sitting on the lanai with the view and the sounds of the waves could not be any better.... more Have stayed in many parts of Maui, - Kihei, Wialea, Kapalua and other condos between Lahaina and Napili, and Napili is by far our nr. 1 place. Great Place

This is a lovely condo. It is the third condo we have stayed in at the Napili Bay Resort so we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. Great views, fully equipped, comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. My only negative is the TV... more and lack of counter space in the kitchen. Normally we don't watch TV in Hawaii but in October the baseball playoffs and world series was happening and it would have been nice to be able to see it. The TV has three remotes but the notes on how to operate the TV instruct to just use one of the remotes. In any case it was difficult and sometimes impossible to receive any channels. The counter space in kitchen could be improved by moving the refrig into the room adjacent and adding counter space to the current area the refrig is in. But that really is a minor issue. less

We rented 4 condos from 9/11-9/18, 201, 203 , 207 and 208. We treated our kids and their "significant others" to this vacation. Wowzer!!

I can't say enough about our stay at the Napili Bay Resort, Condo 203! When we walked in the door and saw the beach and ocean just outside our balcony (supplied with chairs, boogey boards and a great umbrella), I knew we had found a... more winner! A bag full of goodies (yay coffee!!) greeted us and the condo was spotless. The vibe of Napili Bay Resort is a bit 1960 retro. The room was airy and bright and we loved the cross ventilation provided by the louvered windows. The bathroom shower was bright and open too. The bed was comfy and it was a pleasure to sleep with the sound of the surf crashing. Just a quick walk down the stairs and the beach awaited!! The BBQ area and laundry hut were clean and inviting too! Lisa was so very helpful at our check out and we hope to return! This location and condo is a winner! less

Nice Place

We have stayed at Napili Bay Resort a number of times over the last 12 years in various units. 203 ranks up there with as one of the nicest units we have stayed at. Impecably clean, well organized, tidy, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Kitchen... more has been updated but no dishwasher. This was not a big deal for us as there was additional space for our stuff in the living area. Unfortunately the iconic big tree on the beach in front of the complex was destroyed by huge tide activity a few weeks before we arrived. We would difinetly stay in 203 again. less

What a way to spend our first trip to Hawaii and honeymoon! Excellent accommodations. Great view of Napili Bay outside the back door and beach just 20ft away. Just like I imagined it to be. Everything we could need except for meals was provided in... more condo. Boogie boards and beach chairs also. A nice big flatscreen with wifi, cable and dvd was also inside the condo. I am good with electronics and remotes so I could figure out the setup. Some instructions on using these might help in the future. There is a large bbq area and laundry room area also. We look forward to returning and we are sad to see that the tree on beach toppled over on our last day there. less

Idyllic experience

We arrived late at night after pushing ourselves to do a grocery shopping on the way from the airport. We opened the door and were enveloped in the sound of the thundering surf. I went out onto the deck and was shocked at the closeness... more of the beach. I told Dave not to bother putting in his anti-snore device as I would never hear him. Some people might find the surf too loud, but it lulled us to sleep. We fell into a rhythm of a leisurely breakfast and coffee on our deck. Packed up the chairs and headed for the beach. Swim, read, take in the beauty of the surroundings. Families playing in the waves. Swimming toward the reef and snorkelling. Back to our room for a shower in the newly renovated bathroom. We loved the condo so much that we ate all meals "at home" with the exception of 2 dinners. Grocery shopping is a few minutes away at the Napili shopping centre. We live in 5000 square feet and it was so freeing to occupy this small condo that had all we needed. The art is beautiful. I googled the artists. Lisa, the caretaker, was very helpful when we had some trouble with the Internet. Also she told us to remember to bring our beach chairs back to the condo. In our dreamy state, we forgot them and rushed to the beach at 9pm to find them and our snorkels, masks and fins gone. We felt deflated and foolish. Lisa called the next morning to say her husband had picked them up! The location is perfect for sightseeing and dining. We were flying home on an overnight flight so we emailed and asked if we could have a late checkout. We were told to stay as long as we wished as there was no one checking in the next day. It's great to have found 203!! less

Right on the Beach in Napili

We stayed at Napili Bay Resort from July 6-11 (5 nights). The pictures and description were so true - it is right on the beach. It took us a couple nights to adjust to the sound as the surf is only about 15 feet from... more the building, but it was very peaceful. The balcony is a great place to start and end each day. Unit 203 was in good shape and actually a little bigger than we expected. We ended up with some good suggestions on restaurants, snorkel spots and nearby attractions from the guest book. We did use the community grill and laundry, although if you want to use the laundry facilities I would recommend bringing your own change. The change machine was not working during our stay but it was easy to get quarters from the nearby market. Napili is close enough to Kaanapali and Lahaina to have easy access but far enough away to keep you out of the crowds and traffic in those areas. I would recommend Napili in general and the Napili Bay Resort in particular for anyone wanting to be a little off the main track in West Maui. Lovely April stay

We had a great "stay cation" at Napili Bay 203. It's right on the water (and what a fantastic bay!) The waves are loud, but relaxing. We came the week after Easter, so our only complaint was that the beach was quite crowded. (We'll know... more next time.) The condo was equipped with everything we needed for cooking, the bed was very good, and because most of the units are for two people only, it was very quiet. Right on the beach!

This efficient little condo is right on the beach. The ocean waves will lull you to sleep, but the screaming children may wake you in the morning. Awesome View and Very Clean

My wife and I found this unit on line and stayed for 5 nights in early May. We would definitely stay here again. The ocean views from the lanai were spectacular and made the rental price a bargain in our view. Can't beat the sunsets!... more The condo itself was smaller but very efficient and comfortable. The large shower was great. The kitchen and unit itself were fully stocked including beach chairs and coolers - very convenient. We loved the fact that the beach access was just down stairs and that we could rinse off before coming back up to the condo. We found the unit very clean on arrival, with a gift basket - nice touch. We asked for and received a late checkout time which really helped us. This is not a high end luxury unit - it's older (as are most in Napili) and without AC, but it's in great condition and was fine for us. The bed was a bit on the soft side. perfect location and setting

This property is at a pristine location right on Napili Bay. The unit was very comfortable (except I wish that they can make a comfortable rattan couch)and well equipped. The sound of the roaring waves was thunderous at night so I am glad we brought... more earplugs for sleeping. Perhaps a nice bowl of earplugs would be a good idea to include in the unit. We are time share owners and we said that we would pay once in awhile just to come back to this wonderful location. We completely enjoyed our stay and if you can come during whale watching season you can watch them from the lanai sipping your morning coffee or afternoon mai tai. Our Little Piece of Paradise

This was our third visit to Napili Bay (we can't imagine a better place to relax and escape Seattle weather), but our first time renting a condo, and I don't think we'll ever want to do anything else. Room 203 - nice

This room looks right out on to Napili Bay. You hear the ocean. It was loud. If you don't like to listen to the ocean, then don't get this room. However, we loved the sound. Even when the waves were crashing during the night, right... more up to the trees. It's perfect for snorkeling and all week we had turtles swimming back and forth. I was able to get some wonderful photos of turtles and even swam around next to them (not too close, of course!). Our arrival was after midnight and we were easily able to find our unit and get our key, the directions given were good. The only negative thing I can think to say about this place was there were no coasters, and drinks sweat. Coasters would have been nice. Also, there is no dishwasher in this unit. This wasn't too bad, since we only had breakfast in the unit. However, could be a problem if you are staying for any length of time or plan on eating all your meals in. The one fan, next to the window, had a loud motor and the hum of the motor was disturbing. We did have to shut that off at night to sleep. Really, the ocean is louder, but the hum was mechanical and so that sound I couldn't sleep through. I did note the carpet was a bit worn, but not terrible. The bathroom was wonderful! Loved the taller sink and the shower was perfect. We spent much of our time right out on the beach, once it stopped raining. We had the use of some nice beach chairs and beach towels and even a small cooler. The bed was a bit soft for me. We had a late checkout and was very kindly allowed to have a late checkout. Having the late checkout made all the difference in the world to us, since we weren't exhausted on arriving home, back in Idaho, making our vacation that much more relaxing. Overall, I thought it was a very nice place to stay and I would definitely stay here again. less

Bed was very comfortable. Condo unit was quiet. Would like to have had more than 4 towels/wash cloths for an 8 night stay, also another roll of toilet paper would have been nice (3 extra instead of 2). our first Hawaiian vacation

The sofa had no support on the bottom, so you could not sit on it comfortblely. You had to put something under the cushion to sit on it. We also found ants on the balconey. We also thought the room was to cluttered with furniture.

It was the most amazingly wonderful vacation we've ever experienced. The lovely condo, furnished with everything we needed, was right on the beach with easy access to the ocean. Our wonderful vacation

Amazing!

Our stay at Napili Bay was like our own little slice of heaven. We were in Maui for business and our company booked us at Hyatt Maui and I decided to add on 4 extra days and found Napili Bay Condo's on Trip Advisor, what... more a find!!! We far more enjoyed our stay here than at the Hyatt, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, waking up to crystal clear tropical water view each morning with the island of Lanai (?)surrounded by what appeared to be Bali hi clouds was nothing less than magical. What a laid back slice of heaven our stay was. We talked endlessly that we wished we spent all 9 days here. Plus I would highly recommend a must do of going to the gazebo restaurant 2 doors down, was recommended by rachel ray as well as the locals, again another WOW... the macadamian nut pancakes with the homemade cocunut syrup was sinfully delicious. Was a lil bit worried that the fire upgrade installation would be a problem but never heard a peep, had no impact at all. Lovely stay telling everyone about it & definitely coming back again! less

Absolutely relaxing

We love staying at Napili Bay Resort condos and we have stayed there several times in different units but always on the ocean side. At first we couldn't sleep because of the sounds from the ocean. By the end of our stay we noticed that... more the crashing of the waves actually helped us to drop off each night because of their rythmic beat. Watching the sun rise and set each day from our balcony was poetic and swimming in the bay was a new experience each day. Being able to sit on the beach, sneak up to the condo for drinks or snacks and then go back down within minutes was so fantastic. The units are close enought to Lahaina but far enough away to let you really relax. Napili Bay has to be the best kept secret of Maui and I wish I was there right now! less

What a view!

This was our 4th time staying at Napili Bay, we just love it there, exactly enough room for the two of us, lovely quiet family beach, close to my husbands conference site. Great Sunsets

We spent a week at Napili Bay in September of 2008. After a couple of days of driving to visit other places on the island we realized Napili Bay was the place to spend our time. We really enjoyed the view from our second floor... more unit's lanai. The sunsets were great. Being right on the beach was a definite plus. The grounds were very nicely maintained but the big feature was the beach. You can't beat that beach. The unit was small but sufficient for two people. The kitchen has been nicely remodeled. Although there is no air conditioning, we had no issues with heat. Noise did not seem to be a problem either. On the slightly negative side, the wicker furniture was not especially comfortable and the bed was average, at best. However, this is a beautiful spot. Everything you need is close at hand. We plan a return visit. less

The Ultimate Stress Reliever

We had always stayed in hotels when we came to Hawaii, but we brought our parents for their 50th Wedding Anniversary and knowing they just wanted to relax we went with Napili Bay condos. Napili Bay-Paradise!

I am not a fan of big chain resort hotels, so when I found Napili Bay Condos after an extensive search of private rentals on Maui, I could breath easily. The view outside of the complex was breathtaking. The cove that the complex is located... more on is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The resort was small, cozy and quiet. I never even realized there were other guests staying there. My boyfriend and I were able to save a little bit of money by buying groceries at the market and eating/snacking in the condo instead of eating every meal out. The only complaint I have, and it's minor, is that the bed is really hard. Nothing an foam egg crate can't fix though! I highly recommend Napili Bay to anyone traveling to Maui. less

Tired and creaky

This place may have been upgraded by now, but when we stayed there, it was old and creaky. The ceiling fan had one speed, slow. The refridgerator is in the room with you and it cycles on and off all night. The room is on... more the beach with a high pressure sodium street light shining in the room all night. No a/c. Kids congregated under the under the street lamp and drank and partied until 2 in the morning. Local police and the management were not helpful. No utensils of any worth in the kitchen. No BBQ tools by the BBQ, either. Flannel sheets on the bed with temperatures hovering at a chilly 76 degrees for the low. It was 12 sleepless nights of endless noise, heat, humidity and sweat. We contacted the rental place upon our return with some of our concerns and were pretty much blown off!
