Incredible view

Aloha, We stayed in #108 for a week in early October 2023. The small lanai has a perfect view of Moloka’i and all of Napili Bay. We have stayed in a variety... more of condos in Napili Bay Resort and staying on the side directly facing the bay is perfection. These condos do not have air conditioning. But if you face the bay you don’t need it. There are plenty of ceiling fans that keep the place comfortable and you can enjoy the thick wonderful Hawaiian air (one of the best things about Maui). The waves are quite loud, especially when sleeping, so if that would bother you, bring ear plugs. But we loved the sound. One thing we appreciated was that there wasn’t a heavy comforter on the bed. Sometimes I worry about how clean those might be. But no worries here. It simply had a clean white sheet on top of a light blanket, simple. That worked well. We loved staying here and hope to come back soon. less

Third stay at Napili Bay Resort

This was the 3rd stay at one of Napili Bay Resort's condos for my husband and I. We've been in a different unit each time. The positives: you just can't beat the location right on Napili Bay. So beautiful. Also, there is a very nice... more business area less than 5 minutes away with a grocery store, scuba/snorkel store, and three very good restaurants. This year we went in late February, which is later than normal for us, and this time we saw so many whales splashing around out in the ocean. So fun! Also, overall, the entire property is well tended and offers lots of extra amenities like a BBQ, laundry, outdoor shower, and parking. We had to correspond with the owners pre-arrival and the responses were quick. The negatives: We did feel Unit 108 was looking a bit tired and "worse for the wear." Everything basically worked, but there were lots of little things that needed attention, such as burned out lights (no extras that we could find), peeling paint, and awkward re-plastering and re-tiling. It was near impossible to take a shower and not get water all over the bathroom floor because of the position of the shower head. The water filter needed replacing. Sheets on the bed were too big and thus came undone on the sides every night. Overall, these are minor complaints, but addressing them would have made this a 5-star stay! less

Best Maui Stay Ever!

Dec 2023 first time staying in a beachfront studio condo with my husband. Our friends had another unit a few doors away. Best stay ever, and we’ve been to Maui many times. Ground floor Unit 108 was clean and well-stocked. The location was amazing, with... more bushes, sand and water right outside our lanai, and a great BBQ area a very short walk out the front door. Napili Bay is wonderful for the beach and any kind of water play. We watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and could clearly watch the turtles and whales from our lanai. Our contact, Tammy, was super responsive and helpful when we had a question about the TV, and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on away from home! Napili Bay #108 is the best!

The view from this property is unbelievable- better than the pictures (!!)- and the continuous sound of surf just off the patio is magical. We woke up to the sunrise every morning and swam in the surf everyday, ate at the Gazebo and Sea House... more regularly. Napili Bay is where I will want to stay forevermore. Oceanfront # 108

Having stayed in the Napili area twice before, we always found ourselves interested in The Napili Bay condos. Staying in # 108 was a great decision and the best place we've stayed on Maui. Totally relaxing, with Maui sunsets & the sound of the ocean... more lulling us to sleep each night. We never felt in a rush to "get to the beach" because well, we were on the beach!. Snorkel or swim within a minute of making the decision. Groceries & plenty of great restaurants nearby. The unit had everything we could possibly need, including beach chairs & toys for our daily activities. We had a wonderful time and hope to return for a stay in #108 sooner than later. Mahalo! less

Cozy condo on beautiful bay

Very nice place with fabulous views. The only issues we had were that the ceiling fans were either full speed or off. Also the toaster needs replacing, it seems to be stuck on bagel setting.

Loved the condo

We loved staying at condo 108. The worst part of it all was trying to sleep with the beautiful sound of the waves. I do have a recommendation though, it is really difficult to contain the shower water spray with the way the it is... more configured. I know we're supposed to only use a trickle but it's hard to manage. We had to put towels all over the floor to prevent a potential fall. I would recommend in closing the shower as normal and having an on and off switch at the shower head. Easier and safer to use. Overall we really did love staying there and will definitely try to come back again. We love, love, love Napili. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! less

On the water in Maui!

We had an unforgettable stay in this great condo. It's literally on the water, and the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep at night. We enjoyed the lanai, watching people on the beach. Great Place to Stay

What's not to like about a place were you look out over the beach, can watch the sun go down every night, and only have to walk 15 yards to the beach? Nice Condo

Beautiful spot right on the beach

Great location but very noisy and zero privacy

This was my second visit to Maui and we decided to try staying on this end of the island. Here are my thoughts on our visit. Positives: - Great location, you can’t get any closer to the beach. The property is literally steps away from... more the sand. It is really nice but there are hundreds of other people on the same beach. - Easy owners to work with. The check-in and out process was very easy. Negatives: - Privacy. This building has no solid glass or doors. They are completed enclosed with wood slats which would be wonderful if it wasn’t such a busy location. The bathroom also isn’t completely enclosed so make sure you are comfortable with whoever you are staying with hearing you use the toilet. - Noise. Like I mentioned previously, there is no glass in the windows and no solid doors so you hear EVERYTHING outside your room. There was a screaming baby next door for 3 days which was bad and everyone crowds the beach starting at 7am so there is definitely no sleeping in. I bought ear plugs the 2nd night which helped a little. - Temperature. There is no air circulation except for ceiling fans. This wouldn’t be a problem except you can’t leave the slatted windows open or people look directly into your room. I really wanted to like this property but I left feeling unrested and a little annoyed that no one mentioned the setup of the room. I really feel like it should be required to be mentioned in the description that there are no solid windows or doors in this building! less

Beautiful view

My friend and I stayed in room 108 it was on ground level. The condo was large and the the water could not have been any closer! The location was lovely. We really enjoyed the beach towels and boogie boards. The only thing that could... more have been better was fewer coach roaches. They were in the sink and bathroom. I suggest keeping all suitcases zipped and putting ALL food in the refrigerator. I was a bit surprised on morning opening up a kitchen cabinet to a small mob of them on my food. My understanding is this is just a typical issue on the islands. I have been four other times and this is the first time I’ve seen them, but my friend said she has. We would definitely stay again. less

Lighting issue

Napili Bay Condos are in a great location in a protected bay. The unit was lovely- there was heaps of drawers and hanging space for clothing and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking. Hearing the waves crashing while falling asleep was magic, I've stayed... more in a lot of locations on beaches but have never been in such close proximity that I could hear the waves at night. My only criticism has to do with the balcony. There is NO lighting on the balcony not from above or below. I stepped out on the balcony one evening and it had been raining which I wasn't aware of and i took two steps and went flying as the tiles were wet. I twisted my ankle as it went under the edge of the balcony wall. This should not have occurred. Had there been a light I would have seen the wet tiles I would not have proceeded outdoors barefoot for the risk of slipping. I hurt my wrist, my knee and my ankle. After 4 days in Maui we were off to a ski resort in Canada for a week for snowboarding. Luckily I didn't hurt myself badly and was able to enjoy 6 days of snowboarding. Had I not been so lucky you would have heard from me much sooner - that could have ruined my entire trip and that accident could have been much worse than it was. I'm sure there's a reason why there isn't lighting from above...? however there should be lighting behind the balcony wall to illuminate the balcony floor area so that one might be aware of what they are stepping onto. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have had such an incident.Its dangerous as it is. It's dark out there at night rendering the balcony useless after sunset. What's the point of that? Amazing Location

Never again!

My wife and I have been to Napili Bay numerous times over the last 25 years. We have stayed in many of the units throughout this time. It was our first time in Unit #8. On the second day we were there, we went swimming... more in the bay and was gone from our room for about an hour and half. When we returned, our room had been broken in to and over $1500 was stolen. Folks familiar with the security of the room were able to show us how the person had entered our room. We wish we had been provided with this knowledge before damage was done. The room was clean and the amenities were nice. less

Wonderful!!!

We have been to Maui many times and have stayed in Kaanapali as well as Kahana several times. We recently spent 15 nights in unit 108 and loved it. The condo was clean and nicely furnished and perfect for us. The bed was amazing!!! Lovely... more to listen to the waves at night. Being right on Napili Bay is amazing and we loved walking to the end of the beach and having happy hour or dinner at the sea house. We also got the macadamia pancakes at the gazebo also right by the condo. If you don’t want to wait in line, call in your order and pick up and bring back to the lanai and enjoy the amazing view. The large tree you see on the photos on the beach in front of the building is gone unfortunately because it was beautiful, but views are improved for all 9 units on the ground floor. It had to be removed due to wind damage to the tree I think. The grounds are very well kept and it was not inconvenient at all to use the onsite washer & dryer, and the BBQ area is nice as well. We did not want to leave!! Highly recommend!! less

Napili Bay Condo #108

Aloha! Our stay in Condo 108 was from February 20th thru the 26th of 2018. We have been back in Indiana for almost a week now and are already talking about "when we go back". We went to Oahu for our honeymoon in 1993 and... more decided to celebrate our 35th in Maui. Despite the sun not shining as much as we would have liked it to, we had an absolute fabulous, relaxing time, and a lot of that credit goes to the condo we stayed in. The owners were so easy to deal with and the condo had everything you could imagine to make the stay perfect. We have wonderful memories of the breakfasts and the whale watching from the lanai and miss the sound of the waves. We would recommend condo #108 again and again. Mahalo! less

Everything was Perfect. The "studio" condo was more than we expected. Great comfortable layout and nice deck (1st floor) which faced the ocean and the beautiful beach. Watched whales each day. We went with our friends and they who stayed at unit 102, ours was... more definitely larger. While we there, unit #105 had just went on the market and had an open house showing. Approx. 300 square feet, again smaller than #108. List price $688K US. The only negative the restrictions states that it allows only 2 people. The unit next to us, probably the same size had 6. Magical stay at condo 108

Condo 108 is a magical place to stay. I loved sitting on the lanai early in the morning and at sunset and evening. The sun setting just behind Molokai was very beautiful. The condo has all the amenities you could want. The fans make it... more easy to sleep at night. And one of the great benefits is the parking. It is wonderful to come back to Napili Bay and not have to be concerned about where to park. There are many great walks near the condo. I loved putting little pieces of oat meal on the deck and watching the birds come to feed. I would highly recommend condo 108. less

A lovely time in Napili

This was our second stay @ The Napili Bay Resort, the first in this unit. We LOVED our time here. The condo was very comfortable and well equipped. We met your neighbors in # 109, Don and Jan. They couldn't have been nicer or more... more welcoming. Even though we had a few rainy moments, the few days we got to stay here were just lovely. We enjoyed the restaurants that we were able to walk to, and the hike through Kapalua. We will definitely be back, we just wish there was room for our whole family :) Mahalo less

Honeymoon in paridise

Wonderful Experience

We just returned from 9 nights in 108 celebrating our 30th anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. Napili Bay is beautiful and a great place to snorkel. There was no need to set out chairs to reserve to spot on the beach as our lanai... more served that purpose perfectly. The sound of the waves did keep me awake the first night, but that was something that I enjoyed and got used to quickly. The condo itself is beautiful furnished and very comfortable for a couple. We took advantage of the grilling area provided by the condo was equipped with new grills and a great outdoor sitting area. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Maui, we would love to return to this unit. less

NPR 108

Only one suggestion for the interior of the condo - We were there twice with a 2 day interruption. During the first stay, from the beginning, the refrigerator signaled a need for the water filter to be changed and when we returned there was no... more change. There should be a filter in reserve and the cleaning company should automatically replace it. The only other negative aspect is the close proximity of the ground level lanai to the congested beach from about 10:00 am until sunset. If we stayed at this facility again we would only consider a second level condo. Aside from those comments the condo was in excellent shape and well decorated. 10th Anniversary Visit

I can't believe it's already been a month since we returned from Napili Bay! We spent 10 days in condo 108 and had an amazing time! We stayed a couple of years ago in another condo and knew we would be back. This time, we... more combined the trip with a vow renewal on the beach right in front of the condo for our 10th Anniversary. Perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your condo and found it to be just right for us. Everything was just as we liked. All of the amenities we clean and the kitchen was well stocked, bathroom clean and modern, and we especially loved the king size bed that was so comfortable! Can't be happier than when you have a great bed on vacation. If I was going to make a very small suggestion, I would recommend having a few boogie boards, snorkel sets, and water toys for your guests. It wasn't a big deal for us overall. We picket up an inner tube and a "water noodle" at ABC that worked just fine for us. And, we were able to use a couple of snorkel sets that my brother had in his unit at another resort just down the road. Really, though, this isn't a "complaint" at all, just a "suggestion". I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who is considering a trip to Napili Bay! You really can't get any closer to the beach. And, going to sleep listening to the surf is really what paradise is all about. Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. We had a great time! less

Fantastic Location; Nice Condo

This was the perfect location for the laid-back, beach vacation we were looking for. Napili Bay is great for swimming and snorkeling and the beach is wonderful. Two restaurants within walking distance, but basically a very quiet and peaceful area. The only drawback, people tend... more to hit the beach very early and there are no windows in the condo (just wooden slats). I actually had to ask a family to keep their screaming children quiet on the beach at 5:50 AM one morning. Condo was nice; comfortable bed, the kitchen was sufficient (we didn't cook much while we were there). Toaster did not work, but other appliances seemed to be in working order. Lots of notes throughout the condo telling you what NOT to do; a bit like staying with a prissy aunt. Condo and complex were clean. It was nice having laundry facilities and the BBQ area. Internet worked and there is a small TV with basic cable. Beach chairs were included with the condo, which is great, but one was in pretty rough shape. We had some issues with the door locks; they were a bit difficult. We solved it by only locking the deadbolt, however the exterminator came by to spray for bugs one day and locked both locks. It took us about ten minutes of "key jiggling" to get the door open. Probably something the complex should look at, as several other guests we spoke to had similar issues. All in all, Napili Bay is a fabulous place to spend a vacation. We hope to return soon! less

Amazing doesn't cover it!

It was like visiting your home away from home - but much nicer! The location is absolutely superb, right on Napili Beach - just a few quick steps away from sand and surf. Paradise~

This was our first trip to Maui and we felt so fortunate that we found this beautiful condo #108! The size is perfect for 2(mom and I), the location.. really, you can't find a better one than this! Living with the sound of the ocean.

This beautiful condo is situated so close to the water you can hear the waves day and night. It is a bit on the small side, but is equipped with every amenity one could ask for. The kitchen is clean and well stocked, the wi-fi... more worked very well, and there is an ipod dock which we enjoyed very much. The water is just outside your door and the swimming and snorkeling were great. The downside to this is that other beachgoers are right in front of your lanai and the beach gets very busy. At one with nature and God!

This was our second time at the resort. This is an awesome condo to stay at if you are looking for a quaint and directly on the beach experience with beautiful sunsets. No 15 minute walk to the beach and no wait for elevators. This... more resort is all about a superb beach vacation! The snorkeling was the best we have ever experienced. The turtles were unbelievable and I even saw a sting ray in the bay!! The condo was immaculate and the kitchen outfitted with everything you could possibly need . The #1 place for breakfast on Maui, The Gazebo is a 5 minute beach walk and the Sea House restaurant at the other end or the Bay is excellent as well and both require no driving. Can't say enough about the condos, we booked another trip next spring before we left!! There is one thing that I must mention is that the condos are not air conditioned. The ocean breeze is usually enough to keep it comfortable unless it is humid, we did experience a couple of humid days but nothing the ocean couldn't cure . Heaven on Earth!!! less

Absolutely perfect!!

This condo is stocked with everything you might need- including beach chairs, umbrella and boogie board!!. There was nothing I needed- to cook or serve a meal- that was not found in the kitchen. Fabulous Getaway!!!

If you want a high rise, don't come here; if you want a partial little sliver of a view, don't come here; if you want something quaint, then come here; if you want the most incredible ocean front view, then come here; if you want... more the best time of your life, come here. We have been to Maui seven times - always in Napili. We went to the Westin one year - and got our money back because the ocean view we got, wasn't and the "balcony" was six inches wide. Excellent low key holiday!

My husband and I stayed in Condo 108 for a week in april. For us, it was perfect and exactly what we had hoped! We are very low key and liked having a condo to ourselves, where we could cook our own meals, and eat... more them on the lanai looking out over the beach to people watch, look for sea turtles and whales spouting in the distance (there were binoculars in the condo). We intended to drive our rental car to Lahaina for dinners out, but ended up cooking every dinner on the barbecues (we purchased groceries in Kahului on or day trips) and looked forward to our private lanai dinners. We also made good use of the blender for tropical cocktails! Perhaps it was the time of year, but we saw no bugs, nor had any complaints about cleanliness. The only thing we noticed was that folks sitting on adjacent lanais did not seem to realize that their conversations were easily overheard... The sound of the waves, which we loved, covered most noise from people on the beach. The beach itself felt safe, and true to other reviews, had snorkeling, boogie boarding, and even on higher surf days, people trying to surf! The condo was small, but after 1/2 hr, we stopped noticing. Perfect holiday for people wanting a quiet Maui getaway. less

Pleasant accomodations

This condo was exactly as specified on the website. No surprises. The view is exactly as pictured. It is in an excellent location for beach access. The appliances are top-notch and the condo is quite modern with granite countertops and a beautiful bathroom. The bed... more was very comfortable. We had no problems with bugs. There were more than enough linens and paper goods supplied for our stay. We did not find the rules unreasonable (as another reviewer implied) because almost everything listed were things we wouldn't do anyway. Just common sense. The only reason we're not giving it 5 stars is because of size. It is quite small but really is big enough for two. Plus the use of mirrors prevents it from being claustrophobic. We enjoyed our stay. The sound of the surf is quite loud as someone else mentioned. We didn't find voices on the beach to be a problem. If you walk along the main road toward Kapalua Bay you will find a wonderful coast walk called Kapalua Coast Trail. We unfortunately did not discover it until the day before we checked out but still did the short hike a couple of times. It is very easy and beautiful. The beach here in Napili Bay is quite popular so there were a lot of people on the beach everyday. It is nice for swimming and snorkeling. There is a coffee place up in Napili Square that has a wonderful ice blend mocha drink that my husband thought was better than a Starbucks Frappacino. Occasionally we heard people talking on a neighboring lanai and a couple of times got a whiff of cigarette smoke outside but these were very minor. As someone else mentioned, this is not a resort and there is no maid service, but it is a nice condo to use to enjoy a stay in the tropics. less

Fantastic Vacation Location

Had a great weeks vacation staying at Napili Bay in condo 108. Beautiful beach and relaxing atmosphere overall. Great falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves rolling in. The only annoyance during our stay were a group of people from a neighbouring complex who would 'reserve' the shaded area of the beach everyday. We are not sure what the connection was these people had, to be able to put up chain barriers and leave out their beach chairs (even overnight!) so that that area of the beach was permanantly unavailable to other guests. Very cheeky and very selfish. Otherwise, I would definantely recommend a stay at Napili Bay. We are hoping to return there for future vacations! less

Winter in Hawaii

The condo was just as described, although it was smaller than it looked in the photos. The reviews stated everything was included, but no one stated if a hair dryer or ironing board was included and they were as well as a curling iron. The beach was gorgeous and right off the lanai. We loved the roar of the ocean surf. We did kill 5(five) roaches though, even though we took out the trash daily and vacuumed daily. We were there during the Tsunami warning and the owner was considerate to phone and advise up to move to higher ground. Unfortunately there were not a lot of restaurants/lounges to walk to. We were hoping for Tiki bars on the beach. We drove to Lahaina every day. We tried to go to one nearby restaurant one morning and the line to get a table was horribly long and they didn't serve cocktails so we again drove to Lahaina. However, if I got the opportunity to return, I would definitely stay in condo 108 again. less

We love this unit as it is clean, on the beach, is generally a small complex, has attentive owners and is in a beautiful area with no need to travel far. Awesome Place

We stayed at the Napili Bay from September 1st to September 7th, 2007 in unit 108. We had a great time. The view is fantastic... you could not be closer to the water. Roaches

The first place we stayed in was room 108. We were switched the next morning because this home had a cockroach infestation. My Piece of True Paradise

I have stayed at three different units at the Napili Bay Resort Condos and each stay and unit has been amazing. I have traveled there with my best friend on our friendships 20th anniversary, traveled with my husband to enjoy a second honeymoon and most... more recently traveled alone to contemplate life. The property is low-key and right on the best beach in Maui. The water and the sand are beautiful in this spot. There are great restaurants and groceries nearby. It is a quick drive to Lahaina. The sound of the waves will lull you to sleep each night. This particular unit has been beautifully remodeled and is kept up very well, extremely clean, comfortable and practical. You will find everything you need in the kitchen (and the rest of the unit for that matter). This is not a "resort" and if you are looking for a high-end resort experience this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for the true Maui experience, the beach, beautiful views and sunsets, a "real" experience, I promise you that you will not be disappointed. In this unit the beach (public)is literally right outside of the lanai and there will be noise sometimes earlier in the morning than you might like, but remember, there is always time later in the day for a nap!I have burned the beautiful views into my mind to get me through the days at home. As I write this review I wish that I were there on the lanai sipping a cool drink and breathing in the beautiful smells and sounds of this breathtaking place.It is tempting to keep this place a secret, to be sure I can get in the next time the opportunity presents itself, but it would be selfish to hide this gem from anyone who is able to make the trip. nice secluded beach

Our plan was to hang out at the beach,stock the fridge with easy food and drinks and stay in Napili for most of our time. But that did not happen. we wanted to snorkel, read, swim and generally relax. The condo was right on the... more beach. But the beach access was a little disappointing as we could not access from the lanai. Great beach. great spot. adequete condo. Nice and modern. Did not like the window shutters. Too dark when closed. ( which is why the lights get left on i suspect) And when closed at night did not shut out the noise. Lapping waves is not how I would describe our experience. The noise was deafening. But we did get used to it after the first two nights. Unlucky for us the weather did not co operate one little bit. Just sheer bad luck. We had incredilby high surf, high winds, and very cool weather. we were there for 6 days. Most days it rained. we had been warned that this end of the island has less sun but were not prepared for what we got. Had the weather been good we may have had a different experience. But we had to leave the area and go to Kihei most every day to catch some sun. Unable to enjoy the area due to bad weather. But no one can control the weather so just plain bad luck i suppose. Surf so high dangerous to even attempt to swim. Snorkelling out of the question. So unfortuately it did not work out too well for us. Also a bit too secluded and not much in the way of places to eat. The condo was great. Nice and clean and very well equiped. We thought too many notes and rules and regulations about switching lights off and cleaning the shower stall. after every use!!!. they have sand issues in the condo. And its on the beach!! I did not feel like a paying guest. More like a non paying aquanitance owners appear paranoid about thier granite counter tops. I have granite in my own home so not sure what that was about. Perfect for two adults. Dont bring your kids unless you want to clean all the time. We wont be back. Sorry! less

Cute, Campy Hawaiian Decor, but no air conditioning!!!

We chose to stay at Napili Bay because of the fabulous location. I chose unit 108 because the decor looked the happiest and more updated then some of the other units. The website was an exact representation. I'm an interior designer so my surroundings count!... more However, I do appreciate the "campyness" of Hawaiian Decor. This room was a bit "campy" It had a cute hula lamp etc. The unit did have a nice tiny,little kitchenette. But be careful,you can hear everything your neighbors are doing & saying clearly. This unit is compact & not having air conditioning was challenging. Blow drying my hair was not a pleasant experience!!! When we made reservations we requested a "towel trade" mid week because we didn't want to do laundry during a vacation, we were charged extra for this service. We were here for 10 days and then moved to a Hotel for our last week. My husband and I were both happy that we booked a luxury hotel for our last week on Maui. I guess when we are on a tropical escape we do prefer more amenities,services and pampering. less

Amazing location and access

Napili Bay and #108 helped make my first trip to Hawaii (and seeing the ocean for the first time) the most incredible experience ever. Everything was perfect! I spent Valentine's Day grilling steaks on the BBQ and taking in the most beautiful sunset imaginable. I... more could not have wanted for more. I have recommended it to many. ; ) less

Best Vacation Spot...ever!

A beautiful condo right on the beach at Napili Bay. The condo is nicely remodeled and very comfortable. If you go in the winter, you can watch the whales from the Lanai.
