Great condo in a perfect location

Unit 102

We have been to 102 four times. This last time was a little disappointing. Dust on top of fans really thick. Toilet paper holder coming lose and towel holder. Just one small roll of paper towels for 10 days. No cleaner to wipe things down.... more Beach chair was ripped. less

Home away from home

Best Place You Can Stay!!

We love it here. This is everything you can ask for on Maui. Location, scenery, sunsets, snorkeling, turtles, best beach ever, relaxing and so much more. Where else can you run back to your kitchen in less than a minute from your beach chair to... more grab a beverage or a snack. We joke that if our legs were just a bit longer we could have our toes in the sand from the lanai. The unit is nicely remodeled, furnished well and you'll make new friends at the BBQ when you're cooking dinner. Almost Perfect

There is no nor beautiful view on Maui than from an ocean front condo on Napili Bay. I give this a four star instead of five star review only because the beach has eroded away over the years and it now is just a sliver... more so Napili Bay (the whole area)seems increasingly more congested with tourist bodies. There are now high tides that come right up to the foundation of The Napili Bay so I expect there will be some work going on in the next year to remedy that. I hope they can pull that off without eliminating the sand beach. Google Napili Sunset hotel right next door and you can see the current status of Napili bay beach on their live web cam. We've been vacationing annually on Maui for 37 years and we have stayed all over. Over the years we settled on Napili as our favorite beach. The past three years we have stayed at the Napili Bay resort, each time in a different Unit (105, 106 and 102) and each stay was for 21 days. It's just perfect for us. The three units we used were owned by the same company, and all are clean, well maintained and updated. This is an efficient, well managed company that you can trust. Great TV, wi-fi, fans, shower, appliances. Comfortable bed, though sofa needs replacing. We will probably do this same 21 day stay at Napili Bay next year too. less

Missing the personal touch

This was our 4th stay here at condo 102. This year we were disappointed our welcome basket wasn't waiting for us! This was such a nice personal touch we really enjoyed. Sept Aloha

We have stayed at Napili Bay for about 30 years and kind of miss the Aloha Spirit of old. There used to be personal contact when making a reservation, maybe a small gift basket for multiple returning guests and a log or diary to record... more your stay and what you did. With Aloha Condos there is less interpersonal experience than making a reservation with Hilton in Mumbai, India. That said, the condo was all we have come to expect, though the beach erosion is a concern. Most likely time will take care of that. less

Still Awesome!

This was our 12th or 13th consecutive year staying at The Napili Bay. We continue to love the condo and the location. My only reason for choosing a 4 rating versus my usual 5 was due to the current state of the beach area. Sadly,... more much of the sand has washed away, and it has really limited the amount of space that people can plop down on the sand without being in the "splash zone". We still enjoyed many great snorkeling adventures in the bay and still had a great trip! We've booked already for next year and, fingers crossed, will come back to see a bit more of an in tact beach! less

We stayed for an entire month, so there were times that we didn't even go anywhere - but still felt like we were on vacation because we had a balcony overlooking the best beach in Maui. Wonderful Resort

This is our fifth or sixth visit to Napili 102 and we are already booked for 2020. We love the place especially because of it closeness to the ocean. The room is starting to show wear, but still very nice! The king size bed needs... more to be replaced as it is “nesting “ badly. Toaster doesn’t work very well, need to be replaced. Saved the Vacation

We arrived Tue. 8/21 just before the hurricane Lane was getting to the Hawaiian Islands. Then the fire in Lahina hit. Basically Maui was closed for @ 5days. The only thing that saved our vacation was Condo 102 in Napili Bay Resort. The place is... more stellar, with accessibility to the Bay and Gazebo within a few steps to enjoy. Wonderful vacation spot

Steps from the beach, gorgeous view.

This was our first trip to Maui and I'm so happy we stayed in this condo. The view is unbeatable and being steps away from the beach was fantastic. We picked up some snorkeling gear and saw turtles off our beach. The chairs, boogie boards,... more and umbrella that are already there came in very handy the whole week we were there. The beach out front gets pretty busy during the day, but as far as I could tell it was mostly people staying at this resort and it was pretty clear in comparison to other parts of this busy beach. As for the condo itself, it was perfect for an extended stay. Having the kitchen was really great and there was plenty of storage/closet space for our clothing and other items. We had an incident when we arrived because we didn't realize the doorknob stayed locked, but the owner was on site and able to let us in despite being after office hours. My only gripe with my stay is on our last full day, there was maintenance happening right outside our condo all morning. Because there are no actual windows, it was quite noisy and really it left us no choice; between the noise and obstructed view, we decided to spend the afternoon away. less

Heaven on the beach.

I found Napili Bay Resort through an internet search of Maui beachfront condos. The photos and other reviews confirmed my desire to spend a week at Napili Bay. Unless you are a visitor familiar with Maui, a GPS unit is essential to finding your way... more around, especially after dark. Condo 102 is a gorgeous and restful home away from home. The condo is well provisioned for a week or longer stay on Maui. All you need bring is food and a great supermarket is only 5 minutes away. Be prepared to be lulled to sleep with the sound of ocean waves coming ashore. Take merely 50 steps and you can dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean. The beach is spacious and inviting with sand like coarse granulated brown sugar. Sea turtles lounge in the rocky surf just south of the beach, put on your snorkel gear and swim with them. We enjoyed our visit and recommend Napili Bay Resort. less

Best Place to Stay on Maui

We have been renting condos here since 1989. We have never been disappointed and we have told several of our friends about them and they ALL come back from their vacations with raving reviews. You can not go wrong with The Napili Bay Resort. It... more has the best beach, it would be impossible to get closer to the beach unless you put a sleeping bag on the sand. Wonderful Condo!

We just got back from staying in unit 102 and it was perfect! The decor is up to date and it is very nice- we slept wonderfully to the sound of the ocean and in the very comfortable king bed. You are RIGHT ON THE... more SAND AND LITERALLY STEPS to an amazing ocean that has bountiful waves but in such a way that you can pass the break and lounge for hours on a noodle! 2 weeks in Paradise

Napili Bay 102 was the perfect introduction for our first visit to Maui. Many hours passed relaxing in our favorite spot... the lanai... taking in mighty ocean waves rolling through ever-changing moods, watching whales play in the distance, and savoring magical sunsets burning through twisted... more branches of the milo nut tree. The lanai is like being on the beach without the sand in your shorts! The condo is well designed for efficiency and comfort. King bed is very comfortable, kitchen well supplied, bathroom clean with walk-in tiled shower, good wi-fi, large TV, and 3 adjustable overhead fans to compliment the lovely ocean breeze brought in through a wall of jalousie windows. Condo is a nice upgraded unit. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. Dishwasher was a plus. The Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hangers in the closet to hang out clothes that we didn't want wrinkled. Upgraded bah and shower is... more nice. Perfection!

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending two weeks in unit 102 just before Labor Day, and it was absolute perfection. There are no words to describe that feeling of awe that overcame us when we first walked into the unit and opened... more the door to the lanai. The condo is literally on the beach at Napili Bay, and it is the most beautiful beach we've ever seen. To spend 14 nights there was absolutely heavenly. The condo lacks nothing--the bed is more comfortable and luxurious than ours at home, as is the shower. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you can possibly need. We ate the majority of our meals there, and it was no trouble at all. In fact, it was so relaxing and beautiful there, we didn't leave the condo very often, as we felt we were at the best place on Maui! We are hoping to return next summer. less

Oceanfront Paradise

I have been coming to Maui since age 4, I turned 46 on this trip, I can not say enough about unit 102. It is upgraded and beautiful - you are literally 4 steps to the water.You fall asleep to the sound of the calm... more west Maui waves. This unit has absolutely every little thing you could possibly need. It is close to Kaanapali (like 2 mins) and Lahaina. You can stop @ Costco at the airport or walmart the block over and BBQ every night if you wish. The views are amazing. You are literally on the water, I have stayed at the Royal Lahaina Hotel and their cottages too many times to count as well as the Maui Eldorado, this by far is the BEST! I can not wait to return. I am hooked. I can not convey just how much we fell in love with this unit. It doesn;t have AC but it has ceiling fans and with the trade winds and your proximity to the ocean (5 feet) I was never hot. ( And I am always hot). The rates are incredible. It is just BEAUTIFUL !!!!! less

Great Oceanside Stay!

Waking up every morning to a beautiful beach and ocean was wonderful! The studio apartment is perfectly furnished to provide for an incredible vacation. Perfect place for two! And the welcome bag just made it so much better. Beach towel, beach chairs, and paddle boards... more are all provided and made the beach/ocean even more fun. We never had to scramble for a place on the beach because it was never overcrowded like the other beaches around the area. Favorite location in Maui

Third time at Napili Bay Resort, first time in unit 102. This location cannot be beat. It was our first time in an upgraded / remodeled unit. The remodel changes make a big difference in the kitchen and bath. Lighting throughout is excellent. Exceeds Expectations - Better Than the Pictures

This is a beautiful studio condo in a great location with a wonderful view. We found that although it appears to be a distance from the airport it took little time and is a beautiful drive. Lots of friendly people. We would definitely stay there... more again on our next trip. We met a couple of condo owners who described this condo as the upscale unit,and even had someone come by to look at what had been done in the unit. You can't go wrong with choosing this location! What really surprised us was how many conveniences were included - the owner has done it right. We bought a pizza for lunch one day and wished we had a pizza cutter - finally we found something not included; well, the next day we found it! Amazing location!

We stayed here for 1 week during our honeymoon, and had an absolutely wonderful time. The condo itself is updated and well laid out, with space to spread around a bit. The kitchen was nice, and included a small dishwasher, which we were quite happy... more about. The balcony was right on the beach, and we spent several hours just sitting out there watching the waves crash. Napili Bay is small, but beautiful; we enjoyed spending time on the beach (there were chairs and an umbrella provided, along with some miscellaneous beach toys), and we rented snorkeling gear nearby to explore the water! There are a couple of restaurants on either end of the beach that you can walk to along the shore: the Gazebo we avoided (too busy) but we heard good things, and The Sea House Restaurant, that I wish we ate at more! If we ever have the chance to return to Hawaii, we will be staying here again! less

Excellent stay. Would stay again

My wife and I stayed at Napili Bay Resort Condo 102. When we arrived, the room was spotless and has been renovated. Our view from the balcony was on the beach. Wow, we want to live here! You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic updated condo right on the beach, literally 20ft to the water, with a killer view. Beautiful gift basket waiting for us when we arrived, clean well stocked kitchen and a dishwasher so no washing dishes on your relaxing holiday. Large shower with plenty... more of hot water. Very comfortable bed and big screen TV. Lanai where you can soak in the view, supplied with cooler, boogie board, chairs, beach umbrella, etc. Easy parking right outside. We had such a relaxing holiday, spent mostly in the water snorkeling with turtles and reef fish, or just bobbing around in the warm water watching the spectacular sunset. Breakfast to the left side of beach, happy hour to the right side and BBQ for dinner at the condo. Bliss! Booking and confirmation was a very easy process via email and very friendly too. The folks in the condo next door had been visiting every year since the condos were built, and we can see why. But this condo is the best due to the updated interior and superior facilities. Book it, you won't be disappointed. But make sure you leave us a free week as we will be visiting again next year :) less

The Perfect Place to Stay!!

My husband and I just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary in Maui. We decided to stay three nights in Napili at the Napili Bay Resort - unit 102. It was perfect. The condo had every possible amenity. The condo is on the bottom floor, directly... more on the beach. We sat on the patio and ate breakfast every morning as we watched the whales frolic in the ocean. The resort itself was also very well appointed. There is a bbq area that has two gas grills, an outdoor kitchen area and a picnic area. We used the area several times and often walked by as others were enjoying the facilities. Relax and Enjoy

The condo was excellent. It was exactly as the pictures show and had very nice renovations completed recently with new kitchen, bathroom, flooring, etc. It had nice amenities like beach chairs and boogie boards as well as a dishwasher which was a very nice surprise.... more The location was fantastic - on the beach at Napili. We loved Napili Beach. It wasn't crowded, the water was nice for swimming, and snorkeling was great. Although the dining options in Napili Bay are limited, there are a few top notch places. We did go to The Gazebo for breakfast and I would highly recommend it. We never made it to the Sea House at Napili Kai Resort but it would be fantastic for a sunset dinner. Perfect location!

The Condo is simply beautiful. It has been wonderfully updated and had everything we needed. Including beach chairs, a boogie board and small cooler. The condo complex also has a BBQ and picnic area which was great. The condo location was perfect and just feet... more away from the beach. Really, the beach is right there. We fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the waves. The bed was very comfortable. No safe but felt very secure leaving laptop, etc. in condo while we were out. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, which has a panaramic view of the bay, and had coffee every morning. The sunsets are amazing. A short walk to the little Napili store and Snorkel Bob's. The bay on the other side of the rocks is the place to snorkel if you want to see turtles. That is where they seem to live so you will definitely see several. Snorkeling is also good around the coral at Napili Bay. The Sea House restaurant on the bay has a reasonable breakfast, and drinks and appetizers in the evening is an amazing view of the bay from the bar. Dinner is pricey. It is just a nice walk on the beach to get to. The little bohio restaurant on the other side of the bay by the rocks has a breakfast but you have to get there early as a line forms. They have great tuna sandwiches during lunch time. In short, this condo is perfectly located on the best beach in Maui in my opinion, and we have been to or stayed on almost every beach in Maui. It is more laid back and peaceful. Kaanapali beach is also nice but can be quite busy with all the resorts. What is amazing is this beach has a side that has good waves for boogie boarding and the middle and opposite side is calmer for snorkeling and paddle boarding. This condo was perfect and close to everything we needed. I noticed other condos were nice but not as nice as this one with all its upgrades. We will definitely stay here again! If I had one wish it would be that more could stay in the condo as we have 2 older kids in their 20's. less

Our new favorite place on Maui

Napili Bay Resort 102 was idyllic. Having stopped at the Sea House last year for cocktails we thought we'd try a few nights at Napili Bay. Found unit 102 online, oceanfront and reasonable and booked it. Directions there were great, unit is remodeled and beautiful.... more Beachfront is awesome. Everything we needed to play was there...snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and beach chairs. We love happy hour at the Sea House. Found the bay south at Napili Point with all the turtles. I will admit I assumed there was a pool and probably wouldn't have booked if I had known there wasn't one and would've missed this gem. Spectacular stay! The room is extremely nice. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. There was snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels, and boogie board available for the beach. The waves do seem louder at night, so be prepared for loud voice level wave volume through parts of the night. I would recommend this to anyone with the caution that walking can be hilly and on roadway in places, and parking is not always easy even if you have a disabled parking tag outside the resort. less

Ideal Stay!

To say "we couldn't have asked for better" wouldn't even express how much we loved this condo. It had everything! From the picture perfect view of Napili Bay to the plush bed, everything was just perfect. My husband and I stayed for only eight days... more and in that short time it definitely had a feeling of home. The condo has been very nicely remodeled, had all the cookware we could have asked for and was right on the beach. While others had to trek their stuff to the beach each day, we simply walked out of front door, through the gate and were there... sand in our toes! The snorkeling at Napili was really nice too, lots of turtles just around the point and Honolua Bay just a few minutes up the road we really felt we had it made. The coffee shop and Napili market up the street were really all we needed. It's a pretty low key area but if you want some nightlife Lahaina is about 10 minutes away. We appreciated how mellow the area was, just what we were looking for. Next trip to maui I wouldn't even consider staying elsewhere! Mahalo! less

The best condo I've stayed at in Napili Bay

Napili Bay #102 was recently remodeled. It was beautiful inside and had state of the art fixtures and appliances. The kitchen was equipped with high quality utensils (I like to cook so I appreciated that). The view from the lanai was a beautiful view of... more Napili Bay. The grounds of the facility are impeccably-maintained by a very nice groundskeeper. He even went to the effort to prepare an area for fireworks (we stayed over July 4th). The BBQ area is really nice with beautiful plants, high quality gas grills, chairs and eating tables. A snorkeling rental business and small grocery store are a couple minute's walk away. Napili Bay has excellent snorkeling right out the back of the condo area with many sea turtles feeding from the lava rocks in the mid afternoon. The variety of colorful fish in the bay was better than what we experienced when we went on a snorkel cruise. Mid week, the waves built up as the weather changed and we had fun with boogie boards on the same beach. It's a great place and in writing this review, I wish I were there again. It's quite likely that this condo may be the best one in the complex. less

Wonderful beach front location!

We stayed at this condo because we both love Napili Bay and we were not disappointed! This condo is well-equip with everything you need and it's so comfortable! Best deal on Maui!

Napili Bay Resort Condo #102 was an excellent choice for us. The condo building was recommended by a colleague who has been staying there many years. The location is right on the beach, and within driving distance of many attractions. Unit 102 was recently remodeled... more (from what we could tell from getting glimpses at open doors), and the kitchen area and bathroom were exceptionally clean. There is a market about a mile away, and a convenience store within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again! The only "complaint" would be that when the people upstairs were walking around, the noise was distracting. less

Everything was absolutely as promised on the website: we found a well equipped, tastefully furnished and conveniently located beachfront studio apartment on beautiful Napili Bay. A few issues should be considered though: this is a condo without A/C; we had quite a few mosquitos that... more cohabited the unit and, hence, needed to buy benadryl-cream to deal with the recurrent itch. Right on the beach

This complex is tremendous, and this room is really superb. Steps from the beach with the surf at your back door. You hear the waves all night. Great little beachfront condo

This was my second time staying in Napili and I would definitely rent this condo again. The owners have done a great job of upgrading the entire unit with high end finishes. And what a view! I had read in Maui Revealed that the x01... more and x02 units have the best view and they weren't kidding. The unit is literally right on the beach with a great view of the bay mostly unobstructed with the exception of the tree off to the left. The only thing that would have made the unit perfect was if you could get to the beach from the lanai, which I understand for security reasons, it's not practical. The owners provided snorkeling gear, boogie boards and beach chairs so there wasn't a need to rent any gear. The only negative was the bed and pillows weren't that comfortable and the linens and towels were sub-par. For as nice as this condo is, I would have expected them to be much nicer. But, the view more than made up for this. I would definitely rent this condo again as it's a good value for what you get. less

Trying to figure out how to get back!

Found the place thanks to TripAdvisor and had one of the best trips of my life. The condo was perfect! The view was amazing, some of my favorite things to do were to have morning coffee on the lanai and a margarita on the beach... more while watching the sunset. The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise and made us feel right at home. We had everything we needed there. The location was ideal, we really felt right at home. I loved having so much beach to ourselves, no fighting for space like you do at a hotel beach. I slept like a baby every night, even if there wasn't air conditioning-you don't need it! The ocean waves did keep me up the first night, but then closed the blinds and all was well. I'd love to not tell people how great it is and keep it a secret, but I can't help but tell everyone I know that is going to Maui that they have to stay there! less

This was a beautiful condo right on the beach. You couldn't get a better location! The condo was beautifuly decorated and updated. It had a small table for inside dining and a pub style dining table outside on the patio. Last minute fun!

Christmas in Paradise

Christmas on Napilii Bay was even more than we had imagined. This beach front unit was indeed that. Any closer to the beach would result in wet feet. The pictures from the unit don't do it justice. My sister stayed at this resort for part of her honeymoon so when I started looking into lodging on Maui it was an easy choice. We LOVED the unit which was very nicely furnished and decorated. Top of the line appliances and all the comforts... more of home within a studio space. I will be honest that I was at first a bit alarmed at the lack of air conditioning (Hawaii in August ... eeks) however the ceiling fans and the fresh air in from the outside were enough to cool down the unit. What an amazing experience to literally fall asleep to the crashing waves each night and wake up to the same thing in the morning. The beach is BEAUTIFUL and with quality snorkeling right there the convenience cannot be beat. I loved it so much I already booked another stay for this summer! -K less

Paradise found!

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon vacation about 1 year ago (April 08) and we were just amazed. The first thing I said to my wife after we arrived was "call the owner, we have to stay longer!" This initial impression only... more became stronger over our 5 day stay. Each morning, we woke up and took a quick swim in the sparkling blue waters before cooking breakfast in the ultra-nice kitchen and eating on the incredible-view lanai (back porch). We watched whales jump in the distance and lizards scury across flowers/trees as we ate. After breakfast, we'd lounge on the beach (again, 5 steps from the front door) making frequent trips back to the kitchen for drinks, snacks, etc. Frequently, we'd walk 10 min across the beach to the next bay to snorkel with families (6-10 at a time) of large sea turtles. For dinner, we'd use the community grill to cookout and then watch movies on the zillion-channel satelite TV/flatscreen or play DVDs. Or we might walk down the beach to one of two restaurants overlooking the water. Suprisingly, the beach really was not crowded during the daytime - even with beautiful weather - we never had to fight for a spot. The beach is small with gentle waves and the crowd is very mellow/family (not much surfers or bikini babes). It was expensive but - we think worth every penny. We can't wait to come back! less

Incredibly hard to leave...

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed in 102 at the end of our 2 weeks in Hawaii and wished we had been there for the whole time. It was clean, cozy, close to everything we needed, equipped with everything we needed. I loved... more the decor, I loved the lanai, and I loved the fully equipped kitchen. We watched people, we ate at restaurants along the beach and we watched whales for an entire afternoon while it rained; when it didn't rain we stepped onto the beach and into the bay to play. We intend to return as soon as possible. less
