Perfect Stay in Keauhou

Just completed a Nine-day stay at Na Hale O Keauhou, N-9. The unit was nicely decorated, well appointed, clean, quiet, and really quite perfect. The NHOK complex has a beautiful pool/hot-tub and adjacent well equipped gym, both of which we happily used on a regular... more basis. Also a comfort is that everything was gated and access controlled. The location is ideal for walking-distance to the beach and shopping for all of our daily needs - KTA grocery store, Long's/CVS, Kenichi Sushi / Bento, Pizza, etc. Our host was gracious, communicative, and very accommodating. We look forward to our next visit and hope to stay here again. less

Clean, quiet, spacious and well-stocked.

My sister and I stayed in unit N-6 for a week during Ironman Hawaii 70.3, and found it to be very spacious and clean. It had everything we required for our stay, and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. With the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms,... more the unit could easily accommodate 3 couples. As well, it is a safe, gated community with a lovely pool area to lounge at. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, roomy condo for a stay close to beaches, surfing, dining and shopping! Beautiful townhome in gated community

We stayed Sunday to Sunday in this beautiful townhome community. It was open and light and very comfortable and clean. Parking was just a few steps from the front door. The kitchen, dining and living room were open and the large windows let in a... more lot of light and nature. Our favorite time of the day there was sunrise, when the tropical birds would sing. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and you could see a bit of the ocean from the upstairs master bedroom balcony. We used the pool and hot tub a couple of times and it was really nice. There are two small beaches nearby that we drove to in the morning and found parking, but walked to in the evening for sunset. Just a block away is a daily fruit stand all day and fresh fish stand in the afternoon, plus a small shopping center just up the street from there. Everything was very convenient and we wished we could stay longer to explore the island. We will be back! less

Kona vacation

Our family stayed in this wonderful condo for 8 nights. It was beyond our expectations! Absolutely beautiful area. Very quiet. We all slept well. The condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. They have beach chairs, towels, boogie board, coolers for you... more to use. We really enjoyed the nice pool and jacuzzi after a day at the beach. Kahulu’u Beach Park is within walking distance of the condo. There is a Longs Drugs and a KTA store very close for shopping needs. We will definitely return here! In fact, we all talked about a return trip in 2021. Thank you! less

Aloha

We have been visiting the Big Island for the past 18 years and have lodged at Na Hale O Keauhou for about 10-12 years. We have rented condos in D, I, K, L, M, and now N. We have always found the condos to be... more well "stocked" with the amenities listed. This year was definitely not the case. We totally understand privacy for the owners belongings and respect that. We have never found the garage to be locked, the upstairs linen closet, and master bedroom closet. We always used the garage to hang damp towels and swim wear at the end of the day. With the master bedroom closet inaccessible we had to share the guest closet with the other couple which was inconvenient. Each bathroom consisted of two bath towels which meant washing several times during our 18 day visit. That would not have been a problem but the detergent which was mentioned in the amenities was 1/4 full of water! The dishwasher detergent consisted of two packets. The beach supplies consisted of four towels, two not worthy of being rags, and two beach chairs completely rotted out, no straps to carry them by and basically unsafe to set in. There was a 1/4 bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the master bath only. The hair dryer in the downstairs bathroom had to be unplugged to shut off and blew only cold air. The sink in the kitchen had no adequate hot water to scrub greasy pans so we purchased Dawn dish soap for that. We needless to say had to also purchase laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, a hair dryer, and bathroom shower amenities. We had done all bed sheets and only 1 load of towels needed to be laundered after our departure along with garbage taken out and dishwasher run. Cleaning should have been minimal. We did not use the $200 interim cleaning service and wish to be reimbursed for that along with the $500 security deposit authorization. less

Great Christmas stay au Na Hake O Keauhou N6

My family and I stayed at Unit N6 for 10 days over Christmas. Everything was perfect. We had a small glitch with internet service, but the response and fixing of the issue was immediate. Everything was clean and the location was excellent. Lots of areas... more for long walks and great views, plus having a shopping plaza right up the street was convenient. This is our second time staying in Na Hale O Keauhou, and we will be back at some point in the future. less

Crazy Golf Tour

This is our annual crazy golf tour. This place is new and clean with good access to the Ocean, downtown and grocery store, which makes our stay quite convenient. We are looking forward to 2020 version.

Look No Further

If you need a great 3 bedroom, 3 bath place at a very fair price, this well equipped townhouse, at a great location,fits the bill. Other reviews failed to mention that 2 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, 2 sized coolers, and some snorkeling equipment are... more included.(A nearby neighbor offered to let us use his equipment as well. How friendly is that!) The owner is very responsive and accommodating. I hope I'm not making it harder for us to have it available in the future! less

Da Best Aloha Townhome!

We had an excellent stay in Townhome N-6! Very nicely decorated, clean, well-stocked with nice dishes, with plenty of room for my husband and two 22-year old boys! Large dining room table was very nice, too! 3 bedrooms w/ 3 bathrooms was excellent! The location of this townhome is PERFECT! It's super close to Long's Drugs, KTA Market, Bianelli's (great Italian restaurant!), and to a boat dock where my boys were able to do casual fishing! Our townhome was at the end of the street, and it was very private! I can't say enough about the pleasant feel of staying here! We would LOVE to stay here again! Quiet unit but...

The unit was very quiet and private but... it needs upgrading. There were some inconveniences also. The master closet was locked off by the owner. No place to hang our clothes. The linen closet was also locked off. I understand the owner needing to lock... more a closet to keep their personal things, but might I suggest the closet in the third bedroom on the first floor? And maybe putting an armoire in that room? Most units have extra towels and linens but not here. Only one set per bathroom. No towels to use while washing the dirty ones. Also the door leading out to garage was locked off. Unable to be used as exit in case of a fire. Code violation? The washing machine is old and extremely noisy. The dryer didn’t work very well either. It took a very long time for clothes to dry. There was also a leak under the kitchen sink during our stay but Tom the manager took care of it right away and sent a plumber to fix it. We always try to wash the towels and some linens before we leave to be courteous to housekeeping, but being asked to do so in the checkout process was kind of strange. The owner stating that the washing machine was small and that the cleaning crew would be in a time crunch getting the unit ready for the afternoon check in. Would like to add that the internet worked well. The location of the unit is the best in the complex. Very quiet. It just needs updating. Thank you less

Home away from home

We stayed for two weeks and the home was truly a home away from home. Lovely Condos, need more BBQ stations..

We loved the facilities and our condo was very lovely. We like the added security of the gates and access codes and the grounds are maintained perfectly! One thing to mention is that there is only one BBQ station at the pool only and we... more would have enjoyed using one each night if there were more stations. Nice and clean and well equipped.

This is a nice, clean well equipped condo that sleeps six. Safe environment close to beach and town, though having a car is suggested. The only real down side was that the closets in the master bedroom we're all locked, so no way to hang... more clothes up. Not even a single coat hanger in the master bedroom. So I think it would be nice if that would be added! Things like ice chests and beach towels were a plus. Good wifi and kitchen supplies. If you like the cleanliness of a hotel over a bnb house rental this one is for you, it is not littered with personal items. less

Outstanding!

condo stay

We liked the location of the townhouse complex and the grounds of the complex were lovely. Condo was well stocked althou being on an island it could use some beach chairs. The condo is a little far from the barbecue area which made it tricky... more to cook it would have been nice to see an electric barbecue on the patio. As airconditioning came at premium cost per day there was no option to cook inside we would stay in the complex again but probably not in N-6. less

The BEST family vacation December 2015

Our family takes a vacation every Christmas season. This one was by far the best. Our condo was perfect, in every way. I am a detail kind of person, so those are the things I look at. First off, the place is beautiful. Very open... more and bright. Everything I could possibly need in the kitchen was there. I dropped my family off, went to the grocery less than a mile away, and we were set! There was shampoo/cream rinse ready in the showers and fresh towels. The master bedroom bed was SO comfortable and I love the (i believe they were bamboo) sheets! I slept so good every night. As a person with chronic back pain, that is worth the whole trip! I could here the waves from bed! Off to the beach, and yes, there were beach towels, snorkeling gear, and sand toys. We went a bought a boogie board and left it there for you to enjoy when you come to stay in this lovely home. Definitely will be back. less

Love the convenience and the peace and quiet

Love this place as it is away from the busy touristy places, yet convenient to easy snorkeling, shopping and dining. Fantastic place to stay

This townhome was in excellent condition, very clean, well maintained, and stocked with all the amenities that we needed during our stay. It was very comfortable and quiet, and the rates were very competitive (we have stayed in less and have paid more on prior... more trips). Check in/out was very easy since we were emailed the instructions before our trip, and did not need to check in at a separate location. WiFi was included, it worked and was very reliable. I recommend paying the extra for the A/C, as this property is at a low sea level and it tends to be hotter near the ocean shore. It is very close to a couple of public beaches and a shopping center (within walking distance should you feel like some exercise) The property grounds were immaculate, and the common pool/spa/gym area was a nice plus to have (my only complaint is that this unit has a bit of a walk to the pool as it is one of the farthest units from it, and the pool temperature was a bit too warm, so not as refreshing as I wanted). We would definitely stay in this unit again for our next visit! less

A wonderful location for a low-key, relaxing Hawaiian holiday!

This was our second stay at Na Hale O Keauhou. What a great location: south enough of town to feel secluded yet close enough to amenities and activities. Kahalu'u beach is 90 seconds away. Kealekekua, Honaunau, and coffee farms are all within a short drive.... more For supplies and groceries, if you can't find it at Long's or KTA next door in the Keauhou Shopping Center, there are plenty of big box stores in town (Costco, Walmart, Target). The only minor disadvantage of this location is that there is a little more traffic when traveling north from the condo on Hwy 11 in the morning and returning south in the afternoon/evening. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind when traveling to sights/places north. After passing through a gate to enter the property, one passes the pool on the left. There is a freeform pool long enough to swim laps in the morning as well as a hot tub and shallow kid's pool. The grounds are immaculately kept and offer an opportunity to view and appreciate local as well as introduced flora and fauna. There is a trash dumpster and recycling bin hidden near the parking area. Plenty of parking is available, and we never felt like we had to park far from the unit. This was important, as we were traveling with a disabled grandparent. N-6 is a clean and well-appointed and tastefully decorated condo. There is plenty of space in the unit for 4-6 people. It was well-stocked on our arrival with beach umbrella, cooler, snorkel gear, beach toys, and beach chairs. We also found napkins and disposable dishes and utensils for those picnic lunches as well as some condiments for home-cooked meals. There were plenty of cleaning supplies for dishwashing and laundry. The lanais offer a quiet opportunity to soak in the island's natural beauty. One minor disadvantage of this unit is that it does not have an ocean view (read: sunset view) from the common spaces. Another is that there is an A/C surcharge. We found that we really only needed the A/C for a couple of hours in the late afternoon, mostly for the kids and grandparents, after returning from a day of activities. At night and in the morning, ceiling fans were effective at keeping us comfortable. I understand the owners' rationale, but there are other Na Hale units that do not have an A/C charge. We had a wonderful time in N-6 and plan on returning to Na Hale for our next trip to Hawai'i! less
