Na Hale O Keauhou D-6, Kailua-Kona Big Island

Fantastic Accommodation

We stayed in D-6 for 9 nights and have absolutely no complaints what-so-ever. The layout was perfect for us, and everything was clean and tidy. There were plenty of beach towels available for use, which was nice so that we did not have to purchase... more any while there. The kitchen had most everything one would need while on vacation (appliances, dishes, silverware, etc.). We loved that there was a washer/dryer as this allowed us to pack lightly and do a couple loads of laundry as needed. The complex is very clean and felt very secure/safe and the pool area was an added bonus. The location was fabulous as it was so close to a shopping area with a grocery store and several restaurants to choose from. Additionally, I loved that we were away from the downtown Kailua-Kona congestion. I definitely will look to stay here again, if available, when visiting my family in the future. Nice Unit in Na Hale O Keauhou

This unit has it all including comfort, views and amenities. Quiet unit with plenty of room for a family to spread out. Nice grill on the lanai and plenty of cooking and serving utensils supplied. A Wonderful Time

This was our second year of staying a month in unit D-6. Overall we give it the highest marks. The location of the complex with nearby grocery store, theaters, and shopping made it easy to settle in for the month. Absolutely Great Experience - Again!

Like Being at Home

The condo was very nice and comfortable. We had 6 people and enjoyed the fact each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The master bedroom has a huge bathroom with a large walk in closet. We did utilize the grill. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots, pans and containers for left-overs. There was a large amount of counter space which was nice with so many people helping prepare meals. Very large dining table where our group of 10 had the ultimate UNO tournament. There were several beach towels available for use. Beach chairs, umbrella, floats, boogie boards etc in the garage. We used it all. The property is very well maintained. The pool and hot tub are large, the fitness center was well equipped. The location is close to the grocery store and near the beach. All in all it was a great place to stay. Condo D-6

We stayed one month in unit D-6 mid February to mid March. I have been coming to Na Hale O Keauhou for about 6 years and this unit was by far the best equipped unit. It is wonderful to have a big supply of dishwasher... more pods laundry soap, paper towel, toilet paper, ziplock bags etc when you arrive. There were lots of fluffy towels, beach towels and the sheets were nice quality. The 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds rather than twin beds which were awesome for the grandchildren. All appliances are upgraded and work well. My contact with the manager was minimal during our stay but the one time was positive and prompt. My only suggestion might be having a table out on the main floor lanai big enough for 4 people to have a coffee or a card game or something. There was just a small wicker coffee table there. I highly recommend this unit for a family vacation. I booked for next year already in this unit. less

Primary factor for an ideal vacation

This is a well maintained, well cleaned, 3bedroom/3bathroom unit. This unit exceeds the norm by providing bicycles, an outdoor grill, snorkel/fins, and extra beach towels for its guests. Amazing!

Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha, Although our trip here was due to a bereavement. Our stay was pleasant. The house was well furnished, the flooring was beautiful and the AC was absolutely perfect!!! Downfall, even though we had exemptions...we were a little disappointed we could not use the pool.... more It would’ve been nice to relax and unwind. The only thing I would recommend, I would put a drap or some type by the front door. And maybe some mosquito punk since there were choke ( plenty) mosquitoes when we would BBQ. Other then that. Home away from Home

This condo was amazing, even better than we had expected! Very clean (which I am a stickler about), spacious, and included a lot of the necessary amenities when traveling away from home (laundry detergent, hair dryers in each bathroom, etc.). This is our 8th time... more visiting Hawaii, so we have stayed in quite a few different condos--I have to say that I personally appreciated the central A/C with no governing device! So many places in Hawaii place a governor and/or restrictions on the A/C, which my husband and I cannot stand, as we both get warm very easily and enjoy sleeping in a very cool environment. Needless to say we were both very pleased when we saw an A/C we could control! We loved our time here and will definitely stay again when we return to the big island! less

Another great stay at D-6!

This was our fourth stay at D-6. We have always enjoyed staying in this condo. Very well maintained and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is well stocked with good quality crockery, glasses, coffee mugs, mixing bowls etc. The pantry has even lots of... more items that previous guests have left behind like salt, pepper, spices and seasonings, pasta and cooking oil. There is always plenty of dishwashing liquid, dishwasher cleaning agents and laundry detergent - small things that mean a lot. There are bikes in the garage for guests to use. A couple of cool boxes are provided as well as beach toys for kids, beach chairs and mats and body surfing boards. The jacuzzi in the pool area is great. We also like Na Hale O's location, walking distance to the Keauhou Shopping Center and KTA supermarket, Kahalu'u beach (probably the best snorkelling beach on the island) and Keauhou Bay (for amazing sunsets!). We look forward to staying here again on our next visit! less

Good location and amenities

This is a nice house that is a 5 minute walk from the community pool. There are a lot of extras in the garage to enhance your stay such as boogie boards, water shoes and snorkeling gear. The beds were very comfortable, the washer and... more dryer were easy to operate and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The house could use some updates. The wheels on one side of the dishwasher rack were missing making it hard to load and unload. One of the chairs in the dining room table was broken. There were only 5 of us so it wasn't an issue. Beautifully appointed, quiet complex, perfect location.

The unit was a perfect match for our small group: 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. There was water activity equipment that came in handy as well as an umbrella and mats too.... more The location was perfect with just enough distance from the main area to keep things quiet, yet close enough to pop in anytime. One of the most convenient, excellent snorkeling areas is just minutes away down Alii road. The only negative: one of the two 1000 piece puzzles we assembled had a piece missing! less

Not even sure where to begin! In looking for accommodations for our visit to Kona, I was very thorough with my research. Based on location, bed/bath plans, amenities, pictures, and prior reviews, unit D-6 was an obvious choice. And we were so pleased with our... more choice. First of all, Ken was so helpful and responded quickly to all my questions prior to arrival. The check-in process so easy and smooth. The unit itself was very clean and very well stocked. Aside from groceries, nothing else was really needed. Every bedroom having it’s own bathroom was awesome. The master and main floor bedroom/bathroom/closet areas were huge. Plenty of room to fully unpack those suitcases and store them in the garage so you get the full effect of being ‘at home’. The grounds were well maintained and location was close enough to everything, yet far enough away to feel peaceful. We were within walking distance to both a great snorkeling beach and a boogie boarding beach. The pool/hot tub area was very nice and never too crowded no matter what time of day we decided to take a swim. My brother-in-law lives in Kona and has seen many condos/resorts while different friends or family members have been staying in Kona and he said Na Hale O Keauhou was the nicest place he’s seen. We loved our visit to the Big Island and needless to say, when we return we will definitely be booking here! less

We will be back!

This was our family’s 7th summer visiting the Big Island and we had an outstanding experience at the Na Hale O Keahou condo. Great location, near stores, beaches, coffee plantations and main roads. We appreciated that there was plenty of parking and it was near... more the unit. The furnishings including chairs, beds, couch and ceiling fans were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, good water pressure. There were large closets in the bedrooms. Kitchen stocked with utensils, dishes, cups, wine glasses, bowls, containers, blender, rice cooker. We enjoyed grilling on the outdoor patio. There were beach/sands toys and equipment in the garage. We liked having the garage to hang our damp rash guards, suits and booties. D6 condo at Na Hale O

The condo was quite well appointed although there were a few things that needed to be replaced, upgraded or renewed. It needs a general spruce up. The barbecue was old and unfit for use so that was replaced. The kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery needs... more to be updated. There were several items missing. One of the bedside lights in the master did not work. It would be better if there was some rule to prevent early morning noise in the complex. There was a neighbour starting up his Harley Davidson at 6am each day which kept waking us up. Having said all that, we would rent the condo again in the future. less

After arriving late in the day due to delayed flights it was very disappointing to find our condo not cleaned. Apparently a rare occurrence. They large frying pan was in bad condition, the replacement that was asked for and we were told would be replaced,... more never arrived. Home away from home

We had a lovely time celebrating our honeymoon on the big island at Na Hale O Keauhou. The condo had everything we needed and was in the perfect location. We were close to stores to grab groceries and Kona is just a short drive North.... more We loved having access to the pool and even more so the hot tub was nice to soak in after a day of adventures and hiking. Clean, comfortable, and great location

Thank you, Ken and Allie for an amazing time in your townhome!! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations in Kona! It was very clean, very spacious and it was located in a very convenient part of town minutes from the local beaches, stores, restaurants,... more and downtown Kona. The townhome came fully equipped with everything you can imagine including enough boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach chairs for a family of 5! If you are having a difficult time trying to decide which unit to rent in this complex, this is the one! It's a few steps from the pool, the gym, the gated entry, and ocean views from the master bedroom lanai. The complex is very well kept and it's very serene and peaceful. We stayed a week here and a few days in Waikoloa and wished that we had stayed in the townhome the whole duration of the trip. The beaches in this area have much better waves, and it was fun to mingle with the local community. less

Great vacation spot for 6 adults or a larg family

GREAT Townhouse

We stayed here for a week with our family to do the Ultraman World Championships and the place is absolutely perfect. Na Hale O Keauhou is the best place to stay!

We stayed at Na Hale O Keauhou-D6 from late December to early January 2015 and wonderful is the word that comes to mind. First the location is prime! Close to town and shopping.
