Cynthia and Leslie, both were very responsive and helpful. They provided a lot of additional information which was very helpful to us with our visit to the big island. The condo is conveniently locate to a shopping center and several beaches. Perfect Location

Review of August 2021 stay at Na Hale O Keauhou B-1

Our group of six adults had a wonderful week long stay at Cynthia's Townhome in Kailua-Kona. The unit was clean, well cared for and was centrally located to all of our planned activities and was a quick 20 minute drive to the airport. Great location and spacious condo!

Condo was in a great location, close to Kona for dining and shopping, but also a 1 minute hop up to Keauhou Shopping center for groceries, take out, coffee, etc. It was also great for trips south to avoid driving through the center of Kona... more traffic. The snorkeling beach is only a few minutes away. There was lots of space in the condo, much bigger than expected. The kitchen was well equipped and helpful to have condiments and cooking oils on hand. The condo was clean and tidy. We opted not to purchase A/C use because we live in the South and are used to the heat. Overall very pleased. The only very tiny issue is the ice maker never stops making ice, so it sometimes over flows and spills on the ground when you shut the freezer door. less

Wonderful stay

Good location, convenient condo layout

Have stayed in this complex before in different units where all bedrooms were upstairs. Really liked this layout with one of the three bedrooms downstairs and three full bathrooms. Also, washer and dryer on main level. One of our party was having hip and knee... more problems so not having to go up and down stairs was great for her. Perfect Place

We booked this 3 bedroom townhouse type unit so as to have a room for each of the kids and to be able to cook when we wanted. The unit is in a gated complex with a nice pool, is in very good condition and... more in a great location up the hillside giving a great view of the ocean as well as being close to a mall with grocery store, theaters and about a 15 drive from from Kailua. Kitchen was well equipped, there is a washer and dryer and there was a good selection of beach items in the garage including boogie boards, beach chairs and masks, fins, and snorkels for kids to adult sizes. A couple of minor housekeeping items including the master suite walk-in shower needing to have the glass cleaned. Highly recommend it as a place to enjoy the Big island from. less

Great stay

My wife and I loved our Stay! The unit was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. We were thrilled that there was a carafe for our Kona coffee every morning. Great for our sunrise trip to the hot tub. We opted out on... more a/c and didn't regret our decision. With the windows open there was always plenty of fresh air circulating. The bed in the master is rock hard firm, but so comfortable!! The sunsets from the lanai were incredible and watching the sky and ocean at sunrise was beautiful. We also saw a whale breach one morning while having coffee on the lanai. Life doesn't get any better!! The only negatives although small... no light blankets for the beds. Plenty of sheets and towels though. My wife and I were by ourselves this trip and used the master bedroom. I would be leary of using the orher bedrooms because of the bright lights shining into them from the garage area. Some noise from the traffic on Alii drive but never bothered us. Would love to rent this unit again when we return next march!! less

Quiet, peaceful and convenient

This condo was very nicely appointed with everything you would need in a 3 bedroom accommodation. It was very quiet and comfortable for our party of 5. We used the pool and spa every evening to look at the stars. The location is a 15... more minute drive south of Kona but there is a big supermarket within walking distance and on Saturdays they have a farmers market with all the fresh Hawaiian fruit and vegetables you would ever need for a tropical vacation. Most of it was organic which was an extra plus for our vegan entourage. It would have been nice if they had an extra mattress for an extra body. When I asked about one they were quite abrupt in their answer, 'no'. I would give the cleanliness a 3 out of 5 rating as there was area for improvement. If this is improved on I would definitely stay here again. It was a really nice, peaceful place. less

The Experience you want in Hawai'i...Aloha

We booked 9 days in this unit. We received all the information ahead of time. That made it supper easy. The unit was clean and comfortable. The only complaint came from my kids who stayed in the upstairs in the room with the twin beds.... more They make noise when you move. We liked that there were coolers and beach stuff in the garage. Beautiful condo

We loved staying at this condo. The owners are very nice and true to their word. The three bedrooms are all good sized with plenty of storage. The kitchen was really cluttered by former tenants. Once we organized things we found that we had everything... more we needed w plenty of spices and pretty dishes for 6. The patio looks out over the ocean w beautiful views. The grill was missing but it was obvious that it had been there at one time as all the long utensils were in the kitchen. Since we grill very often we did have to buy a small grill to use. The garage was stocked w plenty of toys for children and boogie boards, flippers, and shoes for snorkeling. The garage is small so the owner asks that you do not pull the car in there. We did email the owners about the fact that the screen door is worn out and was off when we arrived. The mattresses in the bedroom w the twin beds need to be updated as do most of the pillows and linens. The twin beds were very noisy whenever one turned over. Speaking of linens, beach towels are provided which was a very nice feature. The condo pool is beautiful and very clean. We rented for two weeks so we had a midweek cleaning. It was very nice to come home to clean floors and bathrooms. There are some maintenance issues that could easily be taken care of. The property manager needs to be on top of that. For instance the front door lock is not working properly. One has to lift the door to get inside. The filtered water filter needs to be changed and there is some trim coming off in the master shower. Overall we were very happy here. Thank you for the lovely fruit and coffee welcome basket. that was a fun surprise. less

Would love to return

We enjoyed our stay in Na Hale. I was disappointed to find the sliding door latch to the lanai was still not working even though the owner had reported it as fixed. I found a screwdriver and moved the latch off the upstairs lanai door... more and installed it on the downstairs door. After that things went smoothly. We had a wonderful time with our daughter and her family and tried to rebook for next year, but found that Aloha Condos had more than doubled their "fees". Also, the A/C works fine but only in 4 hour intervals. Would give 5 stars if had secure internet. less

Nice sunsets

Very spacious and private inside the unit. Grounds are beautifully taken care of. Nice pool, spa, pool area and exercise room. Great sunsets. The neighbors in the unit B2 are in their unit 8 or so times a year so the privacy on our lower... more lanai was sorely lacking since they keep their windows open and their kitchen and livingroom are next to the lanai in B1. Unit could use a few more drinking cups but the pots, pans etc. were ample. Sliding glass door on lower level needs the lock repaired and didn't like having to use a stick propped in the door as a safety precaution to assure someone would not enter the unit. Carpeting was in need of shampooing and curtains upstairs and downstairs had food stains on them and need a cleaning. We arrived the day after the previous tenants left and they had been there for Iron Man. Extra time should be allotted for cleaning but when we arrived at 3pm, cleaning was still in process. Made for a long day. Also this complex is very quiet and not so kid friendly. Spa has signs stating no one under 12 allowed. Saw a woman,who lives there let her 2 year old daughter go in twice and the toddler wasn't wearing a swimming diaper. I stayed clear. The sunsets are lovely but there is a noise factor from Alii Drive below especially during week day late afternoon. Don't know if all the units have the issue or it's just the location of B1. less

Suite B1

This town house had everything! Our last stay in a different condo building we had to buy all our consumables! This one even had toilet paper. There was also lots of beach stuff in the garage. The rooms were huge and each had their own... more bathroom, my kids loved that! My only complaint in Suite B1 was the timer on the air conditioning. We paid extra money to have air conditioning but had to deal with the timer. It was for 4 hours so every night we had to get up in the middle of the night to turn the dial! Our friends stayed in a town house beside us and said they did not have the timer so I would choose a different townhouse next time but I would happily stay in the same resort. Our perfect stay

It doesn't get any better than this. Views of the ocean, the most fantastic condo in a brilliant location with all you think you could want on your holiday and more. Our family (of four) stayed for nearly three weeks in July/August 2016 and could... more not have picked a better home to stay in. It is roomy, comfortable, quiet, safe, our children enjoyed having their own suite of rooms and wifi (!), it has a plethora of beach equipment in the garage and the pool area felt like it was our own private pool it was so quiet. There are shops within walking distance, a fabulous beach to snorkel where we regularly saw turtles half a mile down the famous Ali'i Drive and you have the most wonderful, luxurious base to explore this magical island. Management dealt with any issues instantly and were very accommodating with a late check out. Highlights were seeing molten lava, paddling with the dolphins, watching the sunset at Rays on the Bay (at The Sheraton) and then seeing the manta ray feed and waking up and having breakfast on the lanaiis with the most fantastic view. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday out here and could not have picked a better place to stay. Without doubt we will be back. less

Great Sunsets, Quiet Location

We arrived very late at night. The check in was very smooth with all the instructions that were sent to us ahead of time. We felt right at home instantly! We were celebrating a 50th birthday with 6 close friends. We all had our own... more space. The place was very quiet when we were there in late Sept. early Oct. We stayed for 2 glorious weeks. We rented a van and took lots of day trip. Buzz next door was like having your own tour guide everything he told us from beaches to restaurants were all great experiences he never steered us wrong. The place was clean and well stocked with everything you needed. Could have used a good dusting. The BBQ and pool area were very nice. The pool was a nice temp as we were there in a bit of a hot humid spell. There were a few of us that used the gym everyday, it was fine. A few restaurants in walking distance. We were happy we were a little out of town for just quiet evenings on the deck or around the pool after lots of hiking, kayaking and swimming most days. The sun sets were perfect right from the condo or at the pool. It was a great location. I would totally recommend this place to anyone going. They were also very accommodating with our check out as we were flying out very late at night. note: the only thing that was inconvenient was the locking gates around the pool you couldn't get out without your key so we had to do a lot of pairs to get the key back to the next person we figured it out. But it would be good to have a code possibly since you are already on the property. less

Great place for family of 6

Our family loved the condo, there was definitely enough room for us all. It did not disappoint is in any way. Loved that there was beach toys, boogie boards, chairs and beach umbrella all tucked away in the garage. Love the location, quiet and peaceful... more away from the busy life on Alii Drove. Beautiful and peaceful

This is our 3rd trip to the Big Island and also our 3rd stay at Na Hale O Keauhou. Many people have recommended staying at one of the resorts on the Kohala Coast. I am not a fan of big mega resorts. I prefer to... more stay in a condo close to the beach with easy access to groceries and shopping. This area is perfect for us. Really quiet, gated and close to magic sands beach and one of the best snorkeling areas on the island. This is our first stay in this particular unit and it did not disappoint. Management has always been very quick to answer any questions or concerns we have raised. The condo is clean, well equipped and the complex has a pool, hot tub and work put area. This particular unit has several beach items in the garage for renters to use. My two adult sons, husband and I enjoyed using the beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. The view from the living/dining room areas were fantastic. We really liked having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms...no hassles getting ready to go out. Just a short drive to Kona. We had a good time

We've been going to Na Hale for a number of years. We've always been happy and our stay in B1 was no exception. The unit is bright and clean. The only real negative was the mattress on the king bed in the master bedroom. It... more should be replaced. We were aware of this when we rented because this issue was mentioned in an earlier review. The mattress is quite high in the center and slopes to both sides. When I slept on one side of the bed the slope made me feel uncomfortable as if I were sleeping on a hillside. Because I slept alone I was able to sleep in the center of the bed where it was level. Perfect Condo in Kona

We often stay across the street at Kona Coast Resorts with our time share. When our daughter and her family joined us, we wanted more space. This Townhome definitely fit the bill. This place is nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are large.... more The kitchen has everything you need to cook in if you want. This is our 3rd stay in a privately owned condo and this place is the best. You pay extra for air conditioning, but it was worth it. The air conditioner works well even in the upstairs bedrooms. The view from the downstairs patio is lovely. We enjoyed breakfasts outside every day. One thing we loved was that the refrigerator was loaded with condiments from prior renters so we didn't have to buy a whole lot of supplies and we felt good about leaving stuff knowing it would be used by the next folks. We found everything from shampoos and sunscreen to coffee creamer and spices. Unlike other places we've stayed, this place was quiet. I don't think I have ever slept so well. I was concerned that the downstairs bedroom and master bedroom are near the parking area. This was not an issue at all. We also found boogie boards and snorkel equipment along with beach chairs and an umbrella to use in the garage. We will definitely return to this place. less

Another aloha Condo Great Condo

I wish we would of had more time to spend around the condo. The Big Island is exactly that big. The condo was wonderful. Just at the south end of the Kona coast. We got there just in time to meet up with the island... more contact and he was a very nice guy. He was also very willing to accommodate any request if we had it. We use aloha Condo's on every trip we make to the islands and have never had a bad condo. On one of our last days we meet the neighbor behind us. He let us know about a couple great spots to go and visit. I wish we could of used him as a tour guide. He seemed to let us know about places we would of never found otherwise. I would put the complex as more of a retirement community but we did see little kids around and the older people seemed to enjoy having them around. If you are going to Kona to party it up, this would not be your place. For a couple's get away or family vacation I would highly recommend. We were a little disappointed when we got there to find out they did not have a slow cooker(I know really!) but for future renters we got one and it does now have one. It was a great vacation and after we found the "hidden Kona coast" we are planning our next trip back to the Big Island and we will be renting this condo. less

Perfection!

Wow, what an incredible property this is. The pictures don't do justice to the view of the ocean from the patio. We could see whales blowing water on the horizon, and the sunsets were magnificent. This was probably the nicest property we have ever rented,... more and we only do condo/apartment rentals when we travel now with our two daughters aged 6 and 9. The location near the Keauhou mall is ideal...you have a good grocery store, pharmacy, several decent restaurants and an ice cream parlour. The condo was well furnished, stocked with snorkelling gear and boogie boards, the beds comfortable, and all around perfect for a family. In all honesty, it was more room than four people needed, but the price was right as compared to hotels or other hotels nearer to the water. The welcome basket with goodies from a local farm was a nice touch. The property managers were so nice that they mailed a forgotten stuffed animal back to Canada to the delight of my daughter. All around, I don't have a single negative. Only one suggestion: Get a grill. But that's pretty minor, since there is one at the lovely pool. less

We really enjoyed staying in this complex. The house was spotless and provided some other unexpected amenities such as snorkeling gear, coolers and beach chairs. The only downside is that it was a little ways from Kona-Kailua and the airport (requiring a rental car) but... more it is very close to both grocery stores, some strip mall restaurants and only 1/2 mile from a great beach. We rented here in order to watch the Ironman triathlon. If you're renting a place as a competitor, the unit had plenty of room for bicycles and gear in the garage and had easy access on race morning to drop off a competitor near the start line (about a 5 mile drive). Also had washer and dryer which you'd need for all that gear you bring along. All in all, this is a good rental for the race or just a nice vacation. less

Gorgeous

First class all the way. Maintained at the highest level. All you need to have an wonderful stay in Kailua Kona. Never will we stay in a hotel again. This is the way to go. Close to shopping center and a great eateries.

Very peacefull and enjoyable

We were very close to two of the best snorkeling beaches and just up the road was a market. The grounds were very clean, the pool beautiful and there was a good deal of beach equipment in hand in our condo. Fun!!

Na Hale O Keauhou Touwhome B-1 Outstanding

Our check-in was very smooth. The cleaning crew was on site and left us get our keys before they were done cleaning. The unit was immaculate and well appointed. We had only one minor concern reported with the downstairs toilet making a random whistling noise.... more The location of this unit is outstanding and the views are wonderful, especially at sunset. We always return to Na Hale O Keauhou b/c it's convenient, clean & spacious. Tastefully furnished and quiet. Close to food shopping, entertainment & access roads. This time the beds were not as comfortable, that would be my only negative comment.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful place.

My husband & I traveled from Boise, id to meet our son, his wife and step-granddaughter, who traveled from anchorage, AK. This condo was absolutely ideal for us as it gave us older folks a very nice bedroom accommodation with our own bathroom & closet... more on the bottom floor. Our kids stayed in the master upstairs, while our 17 year old granddaughter occupied the other upstairs bedroom. Everyone had their own bathroom & that was outstanding. The condo has almost everything you could ask for. The washer/dryer were absolutely invaluable, the view from the lanai was awesome, wish we had brought our binoculars with us to see the whales better, beautiful sunsets every night, we cooked dinner in most nights & the kitchen has most everything you need, we all would have loved to have had an outdoor grill, but we did go all the way to the pool a couple of nights to use the grill there, but hard to keep the food hot doing that. We had a beautiful basket of goodies waiting upon our arrival from the owners, thank you so very much. Couldn't try the whole bean coffee in the basket as a grinder was needed & there was not one in the kitchen. Everyone was very responsive to our needs, from the cleaning man who was still working there when we arrived shortly after 3PM, to the man who helped get some replacement light bulbs in the bathroom & got the pest control man out promptly for some critter control. The garage is full of wonderful amenities for taking to the beach or the pool. Speaking of the pool, it was fantastic, it looked and smelled very fresh & clean along with the beautiful large hot tub, also smelling & looking very fresh & clean. Our kids also used the exercise equipment & thoroughly enjoyed the workout room. We all really loved this lovely home & its location which was so close to the shopping center with grocery store, Longs, several restaurants & of course right off alii Dr! less

Great Choice!

We were very happy with this condo--it's beautiful, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. I particularly loved the artwork. My husband and I stayed here with my senior citizen mother--she had a downstairs room and bath all to herself with a walk-in shower that was just perfect.... more We lived on the lanai--morning coffee, meals, sunset cocktails--all with a beautiful ocean view. The community was beautiful, clean, and quiet. There's a very nice pool and hot spa with full kitchen, BBQ, and exercise room in the clubhouse. Paradise Found

This unit exceeded the description provided and also exceeded our expectations. The furnishings were top notch and comfortable with all the appliances and tools (kitchen stuff) that we could ever have needed. The unit was extremely clean and well kept. Bedrooms, bathrooms, closets and living... more areas were all large and comfortable. The views from the unit were excellent. We never had to leave the lanai to see the sunsets (we did see the green flash one night!). The property is very peaceful and quiet. The pool, bar-b-que and workout facilities were located close by and were easy to use. In fact there were very few people using these facitlites so it did not even feel like we were sharing them. The beach was a short walk away as was the grocery store and other shops. This is a terrific location! Spacious, good location, and great value!

We greatly enjoyed staying at this condo. It is nicely decorated, and it is very large and spacious for how much it costs; it really is a great value! The location is a little farther down ali'i, so it is not really close to the... more "strip," but I rather like it this way. When we got to the development, we were greeted by a retiree walking his dog. This makes me think the condo development is more calm and probably more family oriented. The location is very close to Long's Drugs and to the grocery store. There is really easy access to the highway also. When you walk into the door, there is an open kitchen on the left and the living room is in front of you. You can also see sliding doors, which open up to a lanai that has a nice view of the ocean. Usually in Hawaii, when they say ocean view, you're lucky to get a peek of a sliver of ocean, but that's not the case here. My parents stayed in the only downstairs bedroom, which has the queen bed because they do not like to climb stairs. My sister stayed in the master bedroom with her son because it has a garden tub in addition to a shower. (The kid likes to take baths.) I stayed in the room with the two twin beds. The place was very clean and comfortable. We caught up with the caretakers when we checked in, and they seemed to be doing a thorough job. Even the towels were soft and smelled good--something you don't seem to get from most hotels/motels. I would stay here again. It felt like home. The only complaint was from my mom who wished they had newer non-stick pans or a stainless steel pan to cook with. Also, make sure not to leave any dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It could attract bugs. less

Na Hale Keauhou Townhouse

Hello, My family and I recently stayed at this townhome for our vacation. We loved the place. It's a very new unit with nice amenities. As a result, any conversations we had or our neighbors had we heard them all. Our lanai is about three feet from our neighbor kitchen. The Ground Floor Penthouse

The website pictures looked wonderful but looks can be deceiving. Not in this case. It was like staying in a 5 star hotel without elevators.
