AC unit didn't work for the 9 nights we stay here

Place is well located, the resort facilities are very nice, the rental process went well. The only issue we had is the AC on the second master didn't work from day 1 and was not fixed for the duration of the trip (9 nights). The... more owner was able to send a person to fix the AC 3 days after we arrived. the first person was not able to fix it, then 2 days later someone else came to give it a try and he realized it was a module problem on the outside box, the part needed to be shipped from Oahu. We didn't hear form him again, it was already thrusday. We check out on Monday. Everything else went well. less

Everything at hand

Our stay at the condo was perfect! We unfortunately were unable to get an early check-in because the cleaners were a little behind, but, that was the only hiccup. The location was great! Vacation February 15-March 1

Excellent Property, Clean, Responsive, Great Location Wifi is just OK

This 3 bedroom 3 bath townhouse was an excellent property. The owners were responsive and the property was located close to a grocery and large drugstore as well as the departure bay for the manta ray tours at Manta Ray Village. A view of the... more golf course made this property quiet and serene with colourful birds visiting daily. The BBQ was convenient and the pool and tennis courts were clean and available. The owner provided 6 beach towels so we could use them on the nearby beaches and some pool noodles to relax in the ocean. The two negative remarks are not so bad. The wifi is run by the resort and the access in most of house is poor and the speed is just passable but if that is not needed, it worked fine for emails and local web lookups. The information sent to you upon confirmation is inaccurate providing the number of a manager who no longer is associated with the property and wrong wifi codes but don't worry, the right information is all on the counter on cards. The house is well equipped with well maintained appliances, lots of dishes and detergents so you can keep your clothes, linens and towels clean. We didn't use the a/c in January and the windows and ceiling fans were more than adequate. I would definitely love to use this property again.(just warn the kids about wifi so they don't whine and they get outside). Be warned, the master bedroom is luxurious so enjoy yourself. Exactly what we wanted

Kona Coast 4-102 could not have been any better. It was spacious, well furnished, very comfortable, and best of all, perfectly located. It was amazingly close to so many things we wanted to do while on the Big Island. We, honestly, could not have asked... more for a better place to stay. In addition, when we had to make an adjustment to our arrival, the owner was very helpful in coordinating with us and was as accommodating as possible. Family Vacation

The place is a great home away from home. We are a family of 7 (adults, young adults and older teens)and it provided enough space for everyone to sleep comfortable with fans and air conditioning. They provided plenty of linens and towels in the bathrooms... more and kitchen use. They had separate towels for the pool which can be used at the beach also. There is a large washer (with soap) and dryer, so packing light was easy because we would do laundry mid-week. The kitchen had more than the basics for a larger family than ourselves(crock pot, blender, plastic containers, various cooking utensils, rice cooker, keurig and coffee pot, dishwasher w/soap) Previous guests left some spices (salt, pepper), oils (canola), dry goods(oatmeal) but nothing was spoiled. They provided a soap bar and we brought our own shampoo. Previous guests left sunscreen and some beach items, but we brought our own. The grocery store is very close (walkable, but up a hill) so it's easy to buy items as needed. This was our first trip to Big Island and we spent all our time here. We did 2-2.5 hr drive day trips to other places like Hilo, Mauna Kea, Waipio Valley. We chose to do it that way so we can settle into one place. The Kona side had plenty to offer also and its a drier side. The property had a volleyball court (we played two nights, fun, soft sand), basketball court (half court, shorter rim), swam in "quiet pool", and their gym is small. We didn't get to try their on-site restaurant. The sunsets from the resort is gorgeous! We had our designated parking spot. There is a place to rinse off beach gear. When I had an issue, the owners were prompt to answer questions and were helpful. I would definitely come back again. Owners to check on: The rice cooker didn't have a lid?? We were able to use it with foil (big costco roll left behind, thank you!) We only saw one wooden cutting board, additional ones would be helpful. The "Splash" was closed so we ended up having to wash our pool towels. less

Family Gathering Was Great

Our family of 8 stayed at the Kona Coast Resort townhouse (4-102) in mid-Late July for 8 nights. Because of Covid and because we live on opposite sides of the US, we had not all been together in two years. It was a treat to... more be able to stay under one roof and have family time. There were three families (8 people)—the parents—a son/wife/daughter, and another son/wife/son; the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths worked out great giving each family its own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances for cooking, and we cooked in most nights. The washer and dryer was very nice to have also. The lanai with the large table made eating more fun. The kids loved watching the birds, lizards, and the mongoose come by while eating and playing on the lanai. The pools were nice, and access was easy. We were also able to go to different beaches and sightsee, so the location is good. There is a grocery store right up the road in walking distance which is convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were in the area. Our hosts were responsive and easy to work with. It was a great trip, and the townhouse worked well for us. less

There was plenty of room for all of us and, with a 10 month old with us, the porto-crib and his chair were a real plus. All of the sand toys also helped with the other kids. Loved being close enough to the shopping center to walk and 10 minutes from downtown Kona was wonderful. The suggestions they left behind for places to visit and things to do were really helpful and all of them made our trip all that more worthwhile. Great Home!

I was with my son and his wife and a friend. We each had our own room and bath, which was great, and I love the comfy bed I had. Located on the 16th hole of the Kona Country Club, I loved the location as... more I am an avid golfer (although I only golfed once while there). We loved having a washer and dryer and a big kitchen. Its a great gathering place for evening entertainment with friends either by playing games at the large dining room table or watching movies on t.v. in the living room, or our own personal t.v. in each bedroom. Kona Coast Resort offers friendly activity coordinators, a fabulous pool, bar/restaurant and walking paths. Gorgeous

We rented this condo for six ladies for 10 nights and we were definitely happy with it. It is a gorgeous condo, located near the upper pool that we spent alot of time in. The condo had all the things in it that we needed.... more The Lani's were so cool. We fed the birds every day and even had a couple of mongoose that stopped by. The golf course is so pretty. Everything was just what they claim it to be. All of us said we would definitely rent this condo again. It was especially nice having our own barbeque. We stayed at this condo with our 5 children. We came over to Hawaii for our destination wedding and stayed a week . The condo was perfect . First off it was very roomy and clean . We loved the huge granite Island in the... more kitchen, great for preparing meals at the condo . We had the upstairs master bedroom which was very spacious and had a lovely and large master bath . We loved everything about this condo . It was so comfortable for our large family and the kitchen was full stocked with every kitchen gadget . It even had a coffee grinder ! The downstairs patio was great for having dinner outside , especially with the BBQ . The grounds of the complex were well kept and the kids pool was great !! We loved that there was also a restaurant where we could sit and watch the kids swim. The directions to the condo from the airport were so easy to follow. We were a family gathering of six adults and one two-year old in Kailua-Kona for a wedding. Our three bedroom, three bath condo was perfect for us. The living room, lanai, and barbecue patio with gas grill were spacious and inviting. The kitchen was roomy... more enough for multiple cooks and very well equipped, both with utensils and staples. There were even children's sand toys and snorkeling gear in the condo, which we enjoyed at the nearby snorkeling beach (Kahalu'u). Nice and very spacious 3 bedroom townhome!

We were looking for a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit to accommodate our family that was coming in from Arizona when we came across this place during our search. Everything You Need

Before we rented this condo I had a few telephone calls with the owner. She bent over backwards for us to help us get our dates worked out. She was so friendly and extremely efficient. We found this condo to be perfect for our needs.... more We stayed for 2 weeks with 5 people (4 adults and one 3 year old). The place was clean, spacious and ready for our arrival. The kitchen had every gadget that a person could want. It had lots of large sized pots and pans. The BBQ was clean and worked very well. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds. There were extra pillows and plenty of linens. I loved the fact that the rooms had dark blinds to keep from waking too early. We loved feeding the birds in the mornings as we had breakfast on the lanai. The pool is a short walk away. There is a poolside restaurant with some reasonably priced snacks (or meals). The night entertainment at the restaurant on Fri and Sat was excellent. We did not sign up for any of the resort activities. The condo was well stocked for beach and snorkeling activities. If you were so inclined there were tons of DVD's available and even a few books. We had one small glitch where the water line to the fridge ended up with a small leak. We called the number given for maintenance and they responded quickly and had it fixed in no time at all. In fact I was expecting it to take up the better part of one of our last days and the whole matter was taken care of in under 45 minutes from phone call to resolution. Great service! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! less

Great Accommodations

Clean and spacious. Great to have three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - all very comfortable. Lots of televisions in this unit! For those unfamiliar with the Keauhou area, the air conditioning fee is definitely worth it as it can get a bit warm.

This is a spacious condo/townhouse in a great location - an unbeatable deal!

We (4 adults & 4 teens) spent 2 weeks in this well-kept home away from home. The 3 bedrooms (each with its own full bathroom) are large with very comfortable beds. The AC units (extra cost) & fans in each room cooled down the spaces... more quickly at bed time. The main level has an open floor plan and is very spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked with ample cookware, dishes, flatware & has nice appliances & granite countertops. Having Splash (a special mahalo to Alena & her staff!) on the resort property to switch out beach towels & rent snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc., is very convenient & an added bonus. The pools are nice & the grounds are well-maintained. Kudos to the staff at Kona Coast Resort - all we encountered were very kind & helpful. It is a very peaceful & convenient location. There is a shopping area across the highway from the resort. It includes restaurants (great Italian place called Bianelli's); grocery store (KTA Superstore); pharmacy (Longs Drugs); movie theater; & urgent care, among other businesses. The best surfing beach with good snorkeling (Kahaluu Beach Park) is less than a mile north on Ali'i Drive. There is a place to rent surfboards (Kona Surf Company) across the street from the beach. The heart of Kailua-Kona is a 10-minute drive from the condo. [The airport is 20 minutes away. Waimea is an hour away. Hilo is 1.5 hours away via Saddle Road. South Point is an hour away.] John & Claudette (the owners) were always available & attentive to all of our questions before, during & after our stay. We have lived on Oahu & have visited the islands on many occasions since. You won't find a better deal! less

A spacious, exceedingly comfortable home for a great vacation.

Found this condo through aloha Condos. It looked fantastic from the photos online and it did not disappoint us when we actually arrived. It is a very spacious condo with lots of seating indoors as well as in patio area. The beds were heavenly. Loved... more the open plan kitchen and dining / living room area. Well appointed kitchen for those who love to cook. It is close to the Keauhou shopping centre, including KTa grocery store and about 15 min south of Kailua. Very quiet as it was facing the golf course. Rental beach chairs and boogie boards from Splash (on site) were easily available to us. We had some difficulty with one of the bedroom toilets being out of action. It needed replacing. This took over a week and should have been addressed immediately. I strongly encourage the owners to replace the dishwasher. Poor functioning. Scum deep inside dishwasher drain. Filters old and difficult to clean. less

The townhome was beautiful and more than we could have possibly

The town home was beautiful and so comfortable and relaxing. Everything you could possibly have needed was there. The location was ideal and not too far away from the shops, restaurants and beaches on alii Drive. The beds were so comfortable and all of us... more were extremely satisfied. The owners were so nice and just a phone call away if needed. They also have a wonderful caretaker nearby that was also so nice and helpful which was good for me because I managed to lock the keys inside the condo unit and the caretaker came immediately and let us in. She was so nice to us even though it was very late at night she didn't mind. There is a manual in the unit that tells you about all the island sights, transportation, beaches etc, which we found to be extremely helpful. I have not one negative comment to make about this unit or the owners. It was a pleasure to be able to stay in such a beautiful unit and we appreciate the hospitality. This was our fourth stay in Kona as we go every year for our anniversary and I must say we will be staying in this unit from now on,,if available. This townhouse was able to accommodate a family of seven adults and one baby very comfortably. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with pots and pans and condiments. Three bathrooms meant multiple people could get ready at once. We had a bit of confusion about which pool we could use when the baby was with us, but that was not a major issue. It was fun to see the Pacific from the upstairs windows. Lovely plants and flowers lined the way to the entrance of this charming home. Excellent condo

This is a great condo!! The best part of the condo was the soft beds!!! Everyone had a soft bed.
