We really enjoyed our stay in 10-201. Everything was perfect including the new lanai furniture and window coverings. Weng, the condo cleaner, was also very good and we would certainly appreciate the opportunity to stay in 10-201 in the future.

room with a view

The best compliment I could give this condo, is that it has a gorgeous view. We got lucky with the weather, and were able to sleep with the windows/doors open; and did not have to use the air conditioner. However, we still had to pay... more for the air conditioner. How is one supposed to know months in advance whether or not they will need to run the air.. The evening traffic around the 'resort' was kind of loud. A lot of loud vehicles cruising around the condos. The furniture in the livingroom, is outdoor furniture and was hard to find a comfortable position on while watching a movie/tv. But, the beds were comfortable.. In the smaller bedroom, the horizontal blinds are curled and don't block the outdoor lights, keeping the room lit up through out the night. It would have been nice/convenient to have a map of the resort in the condo. I am directionally challenged and I would have used the pool to swim in the mornings; but I had no idea where it was located. I would definetly not stay at this condo again. less

Phenomenal Location on the Big Island

We have stayed at 10+ VRBO locations and this is at the top of the list. The place is big, clean and has everything you need...and a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset from the balcony. The owner was very easy to work with... more and provided excellent instructions for how to find and enter the location, enter the location and register with the resort front office. It has 2 pools, one of which is a "quiet pool", which was great. The place has so many windows, which makes it very bright and seem even larger. It is close to stores, etc. We highly, highly recommend this place if you visit Kona on the Big Island. less

Would absolutely stay here again

Our stay at this condo was excellent. The place is spacious and comfortable and has all the amenities you could need including a fully stocked kitchen and all the best beach gear. It’s an easy and pleasant short drive to the main part of town... more and located very close (walkable) to a shopping center with a grocery store and pharmacy. The best part is the balcony which has a pristine ocean view to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunset every night. The air conditioning worked great, and the ceiling fans helped keep the place cool if the A/C wasn’t on. The only thing I would improve is the WiFi signal. We were two people both working remotely from our computers and while we didn’t have major issues, it was slow at times and would cutout here and there. All in all, we loved our stay here and would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Kona. less

Wonderful Resort in Perfect Location

Very excited to come back to Kona again and to be able to stay at your condo for the 4th time! It brought back so many wonderful memories from previous trips all during Ironman Championships. So much in Kona has changed over 15 yrs, but... more staying at your place again made us feel like we were “home”. Eating dinners and watching the sunset and whale watching in the morning from the lanai were unforgettable. COVID restrictions brought challenges to all, but to be able to enjoy your island and work remotely was a warm change to the freezing weather in Wisconsin. Kona Coast Resort Vacation

Such a beautiful condo, exactly as website and photos portray it. The condo was well supplied, very clean, lots of room and the beds were very comfortable. We started our visit with a welcome gift basket filled with local delights, it was a nice touch.... more The grounds of the resort were very well maintained and beautiful. Reserved parking only steps away from the unit. The vertical blinds need to be replaced, the sun has warped them and as a result there is no privacy. At night you are exposed, even in the bedrooms so you will want to be careful as you prepare for the night. Be sure you review all the rules for the unit and the property. We invited our daughter, who lives on the Island, and her precious family to dine with us on several evenings. Since the condo is monitored with a camera there was some concern we may have been using the condo for overnight guest other then those we registered , which was not the case. We were informed that the rules do not allow for us as a guest to invite our guest to join us for anything other than a very brief pick up or drop off. This may only be a concern if you have family living in Kona or you have others traveling with you on your vacation that you may want to invite over for dinner. Our overall review of the condo is very favorable. It is, indeed, a wonderful condo and a great place to enjoy the Island. less

Paradise Found

This is a wonderful property that is well-equipped, beautifully furnished and has outstanding ocean views. We have been coming here for years and appreciate the attention to detail that the owners have when setting up this condo for guest stays. The beds are especially comfortable!!!... more I cannot think of anything I would change in this unit. We especially enjoy sunsets on the lanai followed by quiet dinners as dusk turns to night. In addition to the amazing condo, the grounds of the resort are well-kept and have lovely walking paths for strolls after dinner. The two pools give you a choice of a family/party atmosphere with the restaurant and bar at the main pool, or a spa-like experience at the smaller Quiet pool. It is an easy walk to shopping and Sam Choys nearby and you can also walk to the launching point for boat tours to Captain Cook Monument as well as the snorkel beach at Kahalu'u. It is also an easy drive into Kona Village so the location is fantastic! My only regret after a stay here is that I have to leave!!!! less

AWESOME CONDO WITH EXTRAORDINARY VIEWS!!!

We highly recommend this condominium rental for your next getaway🌴 The unit was clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing. It was also equipped with every possible item needed to make guests feel like home (i.e. BBQ on spacious private lanai, games, books, spices, pots/pans, dishes, utensils,... more etc.). We were also greeted with an abundant basket of local fruit, coffee & butter! Bonuses included numerous amenities on the property, such as multiple pools & jacuzzi's, numerous areas designated for smoking & BBQ, mini playgrounds for young children, shuffleboard area, tennis courts & volleyball site🙂 This resort is also within walking distance (across the street) from food shopping, drug stores, restaurants & bars which was extremely convenient. So lovely!!

We often stay at Kona Coast. This was our first experience in the "older" section" and we cant wait to do it again. First, the unit was large, comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed including beach towels that were amazing in size!! This kitchen... more was fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. And on top of everything, the view from the balcony (while we had a pre-dinner drink) was just stunning! I will absolutely rent here again and have recommended this unit to people who will be coming to the big Island next year! If I were to make one recommendation it would be that the owners consider replacing the vertical blinds which have been exposed to a lot of sun with curtains that have a drapery pull to keep out the am sun in the master bedroom. The sun was brighter than our rental the week before that had room darkening window treatments. There was only a slight disruption in sleep - not anything that would deter us from renting again though!! less

Great for families

The condo was clean and well equipped. The welcome fruit and goodies basket was nice to arrive to after the long flight. I was, however, disappointed that there was no beach access from the condo (whatsoever) and though you can see the ocean from the... more room as you see in the photos, the view is really of the road. Perfect Place for our Vacation

We loved our time at this condo and will definitely be back in the future. The condo is quite spacious and was very clean and well-kept. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, including a very nice grill. We loved being able... more to cook most of our meals and enjoy them out on the lanai with the view of the water. The bed was very comfortable, which is important to me. The owners have really thought of everything you could possibly need or want including: beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, pool floats, etc. An extra bonus is you get to use all of the facilities of the resort. We really enjoyed the pool and having a bar/restaurant onsite was great. The resort is located just across the street from a variety of shops, restaurants and a grocery store. And one of the best snorkeling beaches is just a minute or two down the road. The owners are also very nice and quick to respond to any questions. Wonderful location!

We stayed here with our 2 college age kids and the place was perfect! It’s very roomy and the lanai is huge! Great Base Location 7/11/2018

Kona Coast Resort Condo 10-201 was an excellent choice for a base from which to explore the island. It's about an hour from both the north and south points. There are several swimming locations within a short distance although sandy beaches around Kona are small... more and can get crowded. There is a shopping center across the street which was convenient. The condo was clean and well equipped. The only real complaint was there were only 2 wash cloths per bath. My wife and I each use 2 per day so we had to improvise. The resort staff was very helpful and friendly. Final note - the resort has no access to the ocean. less

Home away form home

Rented this unit for only 2 night. Wished I was staying longer! Very clean! Lot's of board games for the family if the weather is bad. There are even some movies! TVs are UHD, very nice. The complex itself is nice and the people at... more the main desk are very nice. Only had to go there to get a parking pass, but they rented me like I was a regular guest of the complex and not renting a privately owned unit. Lot's to do in the complex, restaurant on site was very convenient, even though there is a mall right across the street from the complex entrance. This was a spacious, very comfortable and welcoming apartment for a relaxing island break. Everything was very clean and well organised and we appreciated the mid rental extra clean the owner organised. Catering for ourselves was made easy with the well equipped kitchen and the... more very efficient barbecue grill on the lanai. One suggestion for tea drinking guests would be to provide a tea pot as we had to buy one while there. People around the resort were also very friendly and helpful when we had questions. The pools were very accessible. Borrowing equipment to play tennis and shuffleboard presented no problems and we thoroughly enjoyed the botanical walks. It would however, be good to have a little information about how to access the shoreline paths bordering the resort. We didn't fully work out what we could do and the owner's help about what is possible would be good. less

My favorite condo

We've been coming to Kona for several years now, with many good resort and hotel experiences... but this condo blew me away! It had everything and then some: - super comfortable beds - room-by-room climate control (a member of our party who is sensitive to... more warm temperatures was able to sleep in cool comfort) - gorgeous renovated bathrooms - fully-stocked, well-organized kitchen - lanai view of ocean sunset - huge living space - close to quiet pool - close to jogging path - close to grocery store and more Not to mention... - a surprise gift basket of local fruit, jam, and coffee! What a treat! Another thing we appreciated a great deal was that this condo allowed guests to leave behind small consumables--coffee, sunblock, bug spray, laundry detergent. This meant not only did we not have to spend the first day shopping for every little thing we might need--or get caught off guard by something we forgot--but also we were able to avoid wasting what we had left over. That's the kind of detail that makes time off feel like a vacation... and a resort feel like a home. Thank you, Bill and Lesley! It was an absolute delight. I hope we can come back soon. less

Fortnight's Holiday in Kona during Ironman week.

This Condo was everything it says on the tin! It doesn’t need me to tell people how good it is, the pictures are accurate but even they don’t do it full justice. The rooms are very spacious and could (with a sofabed) quite easily accommodate... more more than the 4 person maximum. What the pictures don’t show are how well the cupboards are stocked with every piece of equipment you’d ever need. From cool-boxes, to snorkelling gear to deep fat fryer’s to deck chairs. The complex is also of a very high standard. in fact we got a polite letter through the door on day 1 for having our towel draped over the Lanai(and quite rightly so). Do consider sleeping arrangements though if you’re a party of 4 that aren’t that close. Or, If like my wife and I, you take your teenage Son and elderly mother. 2 x double beds are obviously not suitable and with no sofa bed it meant we had to purchase an airbed and Hawaii isn’t cheap. We thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight here during Ironman week and deliberately chose a place that would see us living in comfort. It didn't disappoint. We would recommend to all of our friends and family. Like us, my Mother had the holiday of a lifetime. Thank you, Steve less

Gorgeous view, spacious and lovely space!

The condo was absolutely perfect for my birthday HI trip; my husband and I stayed for 9 days and were NOT ready to leave! The indoor space is huge, and comfortably decorated in the classic Hawaiian-getaway style. The kitchen has everything you need cookery-wise, plus... more some edible basics like olive oil and mustard. There was a Saturday Farmers market at the little shopping center up the road, and we got to buy local organic produce and coffee! We even bought a Thai soup kit from a nice married couple at the market. It came complete with lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves! There's also a cute coffee shop in the same center (great iced tea!), plus a supermarket, drug store and a movie theater in case of a rainy day. Oh I haven't said anything about the view! The ocean view from the condo is spectacular; both the living room and master bedroom open onto the covered lanai that looks straight at the Pacific, with panoramic blue in both directions. There's a BBQ, a big round table with cushy chairs, and a chaise for relaxing after a long day of snorkeling. In the cove that's 2 minutes down the road, Kahaluu I think it was called, we saw turtles and gorgeous fish galore! There were also people surfing on the north side of the cove, the waves looked decent, maybe 6-8ft most days. The little restaurant in the complex is yummy too; we had sunset appetizers there a few times and the food was casual, delicious, and served with a smile. They even had live music! In conclusion, I will simply say that we will be back, and as soon as possible. Mahalo to our gracious hosts for sharing their slice of paradise! less

Rest, Relax, Return

We have stayed at Kona Coast Resort for over twenty years and always rent a second week there or elswhere on the island. On a number of occassions we have rented from a private owner at the resort and have always been satisfied but have... more never returned to that same place again. This year (2016) we booked our return visit to this unit for 2017 before we checked out. It is all you could ask for in a vacation rental and then some. Comfortable, well decorated, FULLY furnished kitchen, beds you do not want to get out of, and a very nice view from an expansive lanai. Did I mention the beds? The owner responds almost immediately should you have a question or concern and the location is a perfect easyin/out within the resort. A two minute walk to the nearest pool makes it nice if you forgot your sunscreen. Please do not hesitate in booking this condo if it is available. less

Awesome condo!!!

This unit was unbelievably spacious and comfortable with views from every room. Because it is an end unit a wall of windows along the side afforded a view out the other direction as well. I have never seen a kitchen that was as well stocked... more as this one with casserole dishes, crock pots, bowls and serving trays. We had a party and our friends were very appreciative of the size of the condo and the ample seating on the patio. Everything was clean and well decorated. Of course we will return. Can't imagine anything better than this!

My husband and I have stayed here several times and it is hard to believe it continues to get even better. You never have to leave the condo to see the spectacular sunsets because the lanai has the perfect view. The unit itself is beautifully... more furnished and fully equipped. Everything you need whether you are dining in, entertaining guests or heading to the beach for a day of snorkeling. This year the unit had a new washer and dryer (super-efficient), new bed mattresses (love the pillow tops!), new flat screen TV, new shelf unit filled with books) and a new Weber bar-b-que (my husband took over all responsibilities for cooking and was down-right possessive about it). The bedding, bath towels and beach towels are all top quality and match the standard of the unit itself. The resort has two lovely pools, two small gyms, and walking paths around the grounds. It is conveniently located close to a grocery store (walking distance), an easy walk to one of the best snorkeling sites on the island and is a short scenic drive into Kailua Kona town. It just doesn't get any better than this in my book! less

Well maintained and wonderful setting

Hawaii at it most charming!

First of all working with Lesley made making my arrangements a breeze. We had some issues with my email, but all I had to do was email or call Lesley and the issues were taken care of immediately. The cost of renting this condo was... more actually less than it would have been to rent two hotel rooms so the economics of it was a no brainer. We walked into 10-201 and felt like we were in Hawaii at it's most charming! The decor was so authentic, and not overdone. My husband and I were traveling with my brother and his wife, whom, had never been to Hawaii before, they were so blown away by the home, and that is exactly how it felt like we were home, not just checking into some hotel room. We did not do any cooking as we were on the go the entire time, but had we wanted too, we would have had everything we needed, right down to salt and pepper. The bedrooms and bathrooms were so well appointed and spacious! Watching the sunset on the lanai was breathtaking! The location was very convenient, and parking was so accessible. Wonderful

The condo was great It had everything you could possibly need on your trip, from boogie boards; everything for the beach and spices for cooking. We even found a sewing needle to take the sea urchin out of my finger.We could watch the amazing sunsets... more from the lanai.And the condo was beautiful decorated and up to date. We would like to thank the owners for a wonderful fruit basket that was there on our arrival. We ate every last thing. It was delious. It was easy to find from your directions and was close to alot of the beaches and restaurants.They also gave alot of info about the things to do or see in Hawaii in a binder in one of the drawers.The condo has no air but there is no need because it has ceiling fans and it cools off at night. The only downfall and this is beyond the control of the owners is that I left the bedroom lanai doors and a big noisy truck barrelled down the street. But all in all it was a great condo. less

Huge Condo - Great Location

It doesn't get any better than this!

This is the second time we have stayed here. We holiday in Hawaii very regularly and have stayed in many places but this Condo is our favorite for a number of reasons: 1. Condo is on virtually the same level as the car park so... more no need to drag luggage and groceries up and down stairs. 2. It is an end unit so has windows right down the south side giving extraordinarily good light. 3. Beautifully furnished. Walk through the front door and we feel at home. 4. Ocean view so you can watch the sun go down and look for that ever elusive green flash. 5. Sea Breeze that constantly flows through the unit with a front door that has a meshed security screen to take advantage of the airflow. 6. Great WiFi that is easy to connect to and has good download speed. We are almost hesistant to let you know how great this condo is becasue we don't want you to book it when we want to be there! Little things mean a lot like having steak knives in the cutlery draw, a blender to make Margaritas and then for the alpha Male, a 5 burner BBQ on the lanai. Some people complain about the noise but the grounds are beautifully maintained and that means the occasional mower or leaf blower. Just head to one of the two pools and voila - no noise! The layout of this Condo is simply superb. Kitchen overlooks the living room which overlooks the lanai which overlooks the fabulous view of the immaculate grounds and the ocean. Sit on the lanai and watch the sun go down sipping on a Margarita. Then throw some steaks on the Barbecue and ask yourself if it gets any better than this. It doesn't! less

Wonderful summer getaway!

We have stayed in Kona Coast Resort before, but this condo was bigger than the ones we have stayed before. It also was very quiet, has a beautiful view from the lanai and is easy to check in. Want to stay forever.

This was by far the best condo we have EVER stayed in. The owners provided all the necessary information a few weeks prior to the trip and then contacted us a couple of days before arrival to make sure we had all the information we... more needed. Directions were easy to follow and the coded lockbox ensured it was easy to get in and we never locked ourselves out. The condo itself was beautifully constructed, furnished and decorated, with pictures and art work that gave it a warm, welcoming feel. Although the entire condo was woonderful, the bathrooms deserve special mention. Spacious layouts, beutiful tile work and the rolled river rock floors int he showers are a great touch! The kitchen was a delight with Island-themed dishes and every cooking utensil imaginable. We hosted a number of dinner parties for local friends and all were very impressed with how at home they felt there. They were also envious of the spectacular sunsets they enjoyed from the dining room and the lanai. The condo stayed pleasantly cool with its' East to West exposure capturing breezes off the ocean ( I swear best location in the whole complex). In the mornings we watched whales breaching and every evening we watched the sunset from the lanai before firing up the bar-b-que for dinner. Although we were on vacation, we have 24/7 type jobs so the wireless connectivity allowed us to check in and avert an insurmountable amount of e-mails upon our return to reality. The resort property had two lovely pools, three hot tubs, two tennis courts, and a small workout facility. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grocery and drug stores were a five minute walk and Kahalu'u Beach with its' friendly fish and abundance of sea turtles was a 10 minute walk. Kona town is a 10 minute drive. Despite the convenient location, the condo was incredibly quiet with no noise from Ali'i Drive. There is nothing I would change about this condo or the location. It was perfect! less

Fabulous Family Vacation

This condo is in a prime location right off the highway and right near the market. The ocean view from the lanai is just fabulous. Keauhou is a nice quiet location, just the right distance from Kailua so that you don't feel too secluded, but have the luxury of silence at night at the same time. Groceries and daily necessities are just across the street at the Keauhou Shopping center, where you can just about find anything you may want during a one week vacation. A 10 minute jog down to the beach is great getting down, but the hill climb up can be a challenge if you jog too far down Ali'i drive. Overall, it's good fun for the kids and family. less

We had a great stay at the Kona Coast Resort 10-201 in Keauhou with all of the comforts of home. Large lanai with an outdoor gas grill. KTA, local grocery store, and Longs are located within walking distance to the property. Kahulu'u is the closest... more beach with great snorkeling. We visited in April, so eventhough there wasn't any air conditioning, the ceiling fans provided adequate air circulation. There's a pool that's great for little ones and you can get towels there.
