Awesome Condo

We have been visiting Keauhou Resort for many years and this was our first stay in 118. We loved the expansive view, beautiful remodel and numerous amenities.

Great place to stay

Updated, comfortable and clean condominium. Nice quiet location. Ocean sunset view was great. Few minutes walk to a shopping center with coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store and gas station.

Fabulous Condo

The unit was as pictured on their website. It is once of nicest units I have ever stayed in, tastefully updated and well equipped. We received a text from the host when we arrived asking if we needed anything and providing contact information if we... more were to have a problem. The week was great without any trouble. There were no additional resort fees or parking fees. I would rent this unit again without any hesitation. less

Perfect Modern Retreat

We loved the Condo from the minute we opened the door. Spacious, modern, tidy and clean with lots of natural light. The furnishings are chic and comfortable, the appliances brand new and high end European made. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed... more and more. Good quality, sharp knives were a plus. Two large lanais with comfortable seating and wonderful ocean views. The condominium just a few steps away from the shopping center and an about equal distance to Keauhou Harbor, where we loved watching outrigger canoe practice as well as fishing and smaller tourist boats come and go. Management/Owner we’re very responsive and helpful. An overall wonderful experience that we would love to come back to. less

So many special touches!

We've stayed at Keauhou Resort for many (30+) years, and this recently remodeled unit is simply terrific! They are so many special touches-- purified water, custom shades in the bedroom that provide privacy yet don’t completely block the view, a screened-in lower lanai, a bidet... more seat in the bathroom, mood lighting… the list goes on and on. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, baking dishes, and serving dishes you might require for a Hawaiian holiday, and the dishwasher is the perfect size for daily use. While per our preference, we did not use the air conditioning while we stayed there (the ceiling fans were quite adequate for our needs), I am sure these A/C units are just as nice as everything else in the condo. The resort itself is quiet, and it is not hard to find times when you may be alone at the pool. We did not have difficulty with insects during our stay as noted in one other review- in contrast, we enjoyed breakfasting and dining on the lanai, which has a beautiful ocean view. Communication with the management company was easy, always timely, and they checked in numerous times during the three weeks we stayed in 118. Overall, we’d highly recommend this unit, and look forward to returning in the future! less

Bugs and frogs

Here are the good parts: The view was spectacular. The sunsets we saw were amazing. The couch was very comfortable The bed was comfortable The kitchen had just about everything you would need/want. It was missing sugar. The lanai furniture was nice The screened porch... more was nice Appreciated the washer and dryer Kitchen was nicely updated The pools were great All beach supplies were provided...chairs, umbrella, cooler, snorkle gear The geckos - we loved them Here are the cons: Not the fault of the owner, but we couldn't sleep for three nights because of a coqui frog in the tree by the front door. It was awful. So loud. So constant. We spoke with the neighbor about it. She said they were a problem. She had already gotten one and disposed of it. She called the exterminator. Massive brown spider in our towel in the bathroom. Cockroaches upstairs every night Ants in the kitchen (Owner came and left ant bait and spray...told us "it is the tropics" Uh... I know that, but I paid thousands to stay there and expected it to be bug-free) Disgusting, humongous flying roach ruined our dinner on the lanai These critters made me a nervous wreck the entire time. I was always looking around and where I stepped. I looked over every inch of the bathroom every time I used it. We stopped eating dinner on the lanai after that roach ruined our dinner. Next door neighbors are older, and they always had their t.v. on loud....messed up our times on the lanai Renters who came mid-week on the other side got up early and talked at the top of their lungs every morning. UGH!!! Bathroom shower and toilet obviously updated, but the vanity was old and could use some TLC The toilet was a bit much....I don't need a toilet that plugs in Owner told us that the outside is sprayed for bugs once a month, and the inside sprayed every three months. We obviously came at the end of that month and the three months. less

Best stay ever

This condo was amazing! It was the best stay we have ever had in Hawaii and we have visited the islands many times. The condo was beautiful, extremely clean, and comfortable. Everything was in great repair. It had everything we needed and more. The view... more was incredible. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The location was perfect. It was peaceful, yet not too far from the places we wanted to go. We cannot wait to stay here again! less

Great experience

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this condo! It was stocked with everything we needed and had an amazing view. Amazing Stay !!

We had great time staying in Condo. The appliances were all clean and new, absolutely loved the Lanai and view of the ocean with the birds chirping. Absolutely will stay again !!

Nicely Decorated with modern Conveniences.

Keauhou Resort 118 is fully remodeled. Also, it has a ocean view from the lanai. It’s located very quiet area. We would stay at this condo again. Condo has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. The AC keeps condo nice and cool. Mahalo!

Great host and place !

Our stay at Susie place was by far one of the most enjoyable stays we've ever had in all of our travel accommodations. We feel lucky to have the place available for our small window. We absolutely loved the location, the spontaneous communication and many... more needed provided items for a comfortable stay and and island activities. We always look forward to coming back to place like “home” after a long day exploring the island. We went for 5 mins walk to the Keauhou bay at sunrise or sunset everyday. You can’t go wrong in choosing this accommodation. We will be back next Big Island visit. Mahalo! less

The first and important matter to me was how clean the condo was. The owners did a beautiful job remodeling their condo. Nicely decorated. The kitchen had all our needed essentials. Quiet Tropical Paradise

This immaculately clean, well furnished two story condo, surrounded by the Kona Country club, is an interesting short 7 mile drive to downtown Kailua and an 8 minute walk to swim with the Manta Rays. Each evening you can view the sunset from one of... more your two lanais as you prepare dinner in your well equipped kitchen or prepare to sleep in you very comfortable king size bed. The pool is a 60 second walk past the ready to use BBQ’s. The washer and dryer are next to the bed and bath. Amenities include boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, geckos, etc. The owners Kim and Susie are attentive to details and what is needed to make your tropical dreams relaxing. less
