Perfect Condo

We loved our stay at condo 2-202! The condo was stocked with anything g we could ever need or want and the view was breathtaking. We are so happy we chose to stay at this condo, it for our family of 4 perfectly.

Wonderful Location and View

The condo was very nice and suited our needs very well. It was well stocked and the view alone was worth the stay. The only negatives was the place could use a deep clean and updated kitchenware.

Great stay! Beautiful Views

Our family of 4 adults stayed in August and had a fabulous time. The condo was just as described. Everything was clean, well stocked with beach towels, chairs and a cooler for days at the beach. The sunsets were breathtaking. We spent time in the pool and walking around the grounds. I would definitely stay at the condo again. less

Peaceful and Serene

The grounds are luscious and so well kept. The view is just breathtaking and 100% yours. Don’t need to share it with the whole restaurant. The Lanai is a vacation on it’s own. Beautifully decorated and has an abundance of dishes, Tupperware to go, chairs, boggie boards, snorkeling masks, fins, beach towels a lot of books and more. Well stocked cabinets with the essential oil, salt seasonings, jam peanut butter condiments etc same for the bath rooms soap and shampoos. Just treat yourself and enjoy this sweet location. Great pool ,table tennis. Nice small beach at the end of the resort know one really knows of. We had the beach to ourselves. FYI NO air condition but has a lot of fans. less

Wonderful Hawaiian Vacation Rental

We just returned from 9 glorious nights at condo 2-202. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay perfect, was very clean and super comfortable. The lanai was outstanding and we could not wait to return each evening, after exploring the beautiful island, to catch the sunset from the huge deck. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything and more that we could possibly need. The living space was super comfortable with great TV, including Netflix, and also puzzles, and books. A few minutes up the road was a wonderful mall that provided everything for our vacation needs and the walking in the hills above the mall was great. All in all, a wonderful condo in a great location. less

Checks all the boxes!

We really enjoyed the stay for 8 nights and ate almost all our breakfasts and dinners on the balcony. The sunsets were absolutely stunning, and we even saw a few dolphins from the lanai. After sunset, the stars were crystal clear, and we saw shooting stars. Sleeping with the rain hitting the water and waking up to the birds chirping was paradise! Richard and Brian were super responsive and accommodating. The condo was well stocked and had plenty of amenities to ensure a good day at the beach. Additionally, the location was a great base camp to go to key attractions like manga ray snorkelling, Mauna Kea, Green Sand Beach, Hilo, and the volcano. Thank you so much for hosting us! If we come back we’ll book in a heartbeat. less

Beautiful Oceanview Condo

Condo is exactly as advertised. Beautiful big balcony overlooking the ocean. The kitchen was well appointed and we made many meals to enjoy on the patio. Definitely appreciated the extras, including all the items to use at the beach. We really hope to visit again soon and stay at this beautiful place again! less

Beautiful ocean front condo

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The view is incredible and the balcony was a favorite spot morning and night. We appreciated having a washer/dryer (as well as detergent!) and made use of the extra snorkel equipment. A nearby shopping center was very convenient and the location of the condo made it easy to visit different parts of the island. Tennis courts and pool were also well maintained. We would definitely stay here again! less

Condo 2-202 review

I rented Condo 2-202 for myself and my 15-year old daughter during her school break over Thanksgiving week. It was the perfect place for us (and would also be perfect for a couple with two children). It is well furnished, very comfortable, has a great layout, nicely decorated, very clean, great location, with an epic view of the Pacific! The grounds are immaculately maintained and the landscaping is lovely, with palm trees just outside the lanai. We rented a car which made things easy, although you could technically walk or bike to nearby grocery store, great snorkeling beach, restaurants, etc. if you wanted to stay put and not explore the island. We spent early mornings and evenings looking out over the ocean on the large lanai, which is off both the master bedroom and living room. We were hoping to see whales offshore, but I think we were there a little bit early. We would both love to rent the condo again in the future! It is hard to beat. less

September visit, 8 nights

Rich's condo is in a great location within Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club! We ate all our meals out on the balcony and loved watching the early morning boats go by, the birds, the evening sunsets, and the always changing surf! Although we snorkeled quite often, the pool was really nice to use at other times. Beautiful landscaping throughout the Club area. We really enjoyed the pleasant walk to the beach just outside the Club complex to the north. Not sure of its name, but we called it the Green Turtle Beach, because a sign about the turtles greets you as you exit the pathway from the Club. We saw the turtles one day, but mostly strolled and enjoyed watching the surf. Nice relaxing walk from the condo, often to top off a day of other activities. Snorkeling was just about as close, at Kahalu’u Beach Park. We used the BBQ area that's really close to this condo once, too. We played pickleball once, but after that the courts were being resurfaced. (I hope they paint pickleball courts on all the courts!) The condo was well equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen, plus beach towels and snorkeling and other water gear (tho we had taken out own). less

Absolutely lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo with a stunning view out over the ocean. We had a delightful time. Would happily do it all again in the near future.

Condo 2-202 rental November 2020

The Keauhou surf & racquet is a vey nice, well-maintained property. The pool and tennis courts are wonderful and the community is quiet and respectful of each other. The ocean view from this unit is spectacular! The unit is spacious and well-equipped. The condo owner, Richard, is very responsive and eager to accommodate our requests when we wanted to extend our stay. Also, the local property manager, Brandon, was quick to respond with any request we made, which were very few, but never-the-less we much appreciated his kind attitude when we did. less

WHAT A FIND

We recently spent a month at 2-202 during the COVID 19 pandemic. First let me say that Richard is responsive and great to work with. During these uncertain times he was always available by phone and did all he could to take the stress out of our accommodation dilemma. The condo is roomy and bright with everything you need, even for an extended stay. Location is everything - you are ON the ocean. You have a 180 degree unobstructed view looking out to the Pacific and because you are on the second floor, the large lanai doors off the living room and bedroom can stay open all the time. This unit does not have air conditioning but with windows and doors open the air flow allows the unit to stay comfortable. The huge covered lanai with loungers and table & chairs is where we ate and spent most of our time. The view over the black lava rocks to the blue ocean, watching turtles, dolphins, whales, kayakers, was something I will always remember. The unit is clean and well stocked with linens, beach equipment and supplies. The kitchen had new appliances, every dish or pan I needed, all the necessities. The master had a comfortable king bed and a walk-in shower. There is a washer & dryer in the unit and Richard supplies detergent & dryer sheets. Keauhou Surf & Racket Club is quiet, beautifully landscaped with plenty of green space & parking and centrally located for touring the island. Shops and restaurants are close by. We had such an enjoyable experience we will definitely be back and I would recommend this condo unit to anyone. less

Simply The Best!

Oh my! What to say? Just this. Simply The Best! A perfect place! Starting with the condo grounds - they are beautiful. Everything is ship-shape and perfect. Pool? Not spectacular, but a very nice area with a pavilion and the tennis courts adjoining. We didn't use the outdoor grill area, but it looked very nice. And saving the Best for last - the condo! Ha! and Oh My! What a joy it was to enter this place. You readers all know the terror of getting to your booked-on-line-place. You could be walking into anything. But at this condo, you are walking into a perfect place. Workable full kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make a meal for A LOT of people! Usable pots and pans! Cutting boards! Glasses galore! Place settings for 12++. Big frig and Bosch dishwasher! And that's just the start. In the closet is plenty of equipment for the beach - chairs, towels, snorkels, beach coolers (with icies in the freezer!). I was amazed. Back in the condo, there is a large dining room and great living area with a big TV and instructions for use! Hooray! I never find that! Next to the living room is a lovely master bedroom/bath. With another big closet. And then there is another bedroom/bath. So, 2 BR's 2 baths. Perfect! And out that sliding glass door from the MBR and the Living Room is the biggest lanai ever! Oh! It is just so lovely! It stetches across the living room and the master bedroom to create a huge living space that I could not get enough of! Great table for dining, chaise lounges, extra chairs - it's all there to just enjoy that ocean front view. And great view it is. Literally a front row seat to all the ocean action(I saw whales! And birds! And boats!), and the most AWESOME SUNSETS EVER!! It doesn't get any better than this. Oh! And did I mention that the location is great, too? Highly recommend this condo. You can't do any better! less

Great getaway for a very relaxing week

This condo has a stunning view of the Pacific sunsets. The sounds of the surf crashing on the lava beach wall 30 yards away in the front yard at night were mesmerizing and restful. We enjoyed ziplining in Hilo on the tandem course operated by Kopokahine Tours and snorkeling one day with Fair Wind Tours. The Kenichi restaurant near the condo has fabulous sushi and a very affordable happy hour from 4:30 to 6:00. For the adventuresome, we had a great time hiking two or three miles up a cinder cone north of Kona off of Highway 19. You can see the cinder cone for miles in any direction so the access is easy to find. It's on the right heading north and you'll see a large gate that looks as if you aren't allowed inside. If you are brave and drive to the gate, it will open for your car and there is parking inside. Straight ahead there is an asphalt road that rises towards the cone. You can't drive that road, but you can hike it and if you continue around the back side of the cone, you'll see wild goats and sheep and amazing birdlife. The view from the top is pretty spectacular and resting atop the grassy peak is exhilarating. less

Awesome 🤙🏽

Words can’t explain how wonderful this condo is! You need to just book it and go see for yourself. The view and the owner are wonderful, he even called to make sure everything was good!

The Perfect Oasis

We spent 10 days on the Big Island and split our trip up between Waikoloa Village and Kona. We liked the resort at Waikoloa, but we LOVED Richard's place in Kona. You absolutely cannot beat the view from the lanai every day. The grounds and all the amenities at the Kona Surf and Racquet Club are top notch. Richard literally has everything you would need in his condo. We went with two teenage girls and the rooms were plenty spacious. His condo is conveniently located to the main area of Kona as well as to Magic Sands beach and Turtle Beach. We had such a great time that we wished we would've had more time at the condo. It was our first time on the Big Island, but we definitely plan on coming back. Thank you Richard! less

Fabulous

We stayed at this condo for 10 days. Lovely home, just as pictured and described. We look forward to returning. Beautiful Pool, gorgeous ocean view. Paradise. The property manager was kind and prompt and helpful when we had an issue with the internet. He took care of us quickly. I would recommend this specific unit with a huge Mahalo. less

Great Experience

We arrived at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club condo in the dark of night. We were grateful to discover the condo was exactly as described on the website. There was a welcome fruit basket waiting for us! We fell asleep to the sound of the waves. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and new discoveries about our surroundings. We found the passage way to the beach nearby and enjoyed putting our feet in the water. Little things we loved * The entry lock - never having to worry about finding a key * Privacy * Space to breathe compared to a hotel room * Sound of all the birds * Stairs were gentle (important because of a recent injury) Suggestions * Blinds in second bedroom are not working properly. Afraid to use as they are about to break * Dining room chairs are very noisy. Felt feet would definitely reduce noise or perhaps rollers * Need a designated desk for all devices - frustrating Richard was easy to work with. He definitely has integrity as we navigated a few registration issues. We loved the Big Island and specifically Keauhou location. We would definitely stay here again! less

Fabulous view

Comfortable, clean and cozy. Loved the location—close to amenities and activities (snorkeling, surfing, SUP, excellent luau) but away from the crowds. Well outfitted kitchen, exceptionally comfortable sectional and amazing lanai made it easy to relax and enjoy downtime too. The welcome basket of fruit and snacks was a wonderful touch. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. less

— Grahams, Stayed 03/26/2019

Felt just like home, only in paradise!

To start off with, Richard was great about helping us with our many questions. We were awestruck from the moment we opened the blinds to the lanai. The view was spectacular and the sound of the waves mesmerizing. We were welcomed with a nice basket of fruit, which made for a nice breakfast the next day. The location is great, with shopping near by, access to all the snorkel beaches, and the grounds are very well maintained. It was as comfortable as being at home; and the ocean was right outside the door (2nd floor). There is no A/C, but we enjoy the fresh air and the fans kept us comfortable the whole time. In summer, it might be a little warmer, but with ceiling fans in every room and on the lanai, plus several floor fans, I can't imagine it not being comfortable. The windows face the west, so we just closed the blinds when we left for the day and it was comfortable when we came home and turned on the fans. We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The sunsets were amazing, we caught them every night, either from the lanai or wherever we happened to be. We had no issues and loved having some beach equipment to use. We will definitely rent here again. Thank you, Richard! less

Beautiful Irene

Beautiful view from the lanai of this well-appointed condo. The owner provides a kitchen with plenty of utensils and tableware; he also includes a number of snorkels, flippers, etc. The condo complex is also comfortable with pleasant grounds, grills, tennis courts and a pool. The distance from town is as advertised, however, this does make it too far to walk. That said, there is a shopping center with full-service grocery store an easy walk away., We certainly enjoyed our stay! less

Exactly what we wanted!

Stayed in this beautiful condo Nov. 13-19, 2018 and it was perfect. Was traveling with my 24 year old daughter and meeting her friend who was doing graduate work research on The Big Island. We picked up her friend who stayed with us for a few days and the accommodations were exactly what we wanted. Well -equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, washer/dryer and a huge lanai with amazing sunset views! Plenty of room for us all to spread out and have our own space. Location was close to beaches, restaurants, shopping. The grocery store was 2 mins away. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was lovely. Also, there were beach chairs, pool noodles, beach towels--everything you could need. We were welcomed with a delicious fruit basket, which was a very nice touch! We had a trip of a lifetime and if we are fortunate to travel back to the Big Island in the future, we will definitely stay again! less

Condo 2-202

We really liked Condo 2-202. The beds were very comfortable and the condo was clean and welcoming. It had all the amenities one could want in a condo in Hawaii. The fruit basket was a great touch. Very welcoming. I also really liked the tile floors throughout. Much cooler and the kitchen was very nicely remodeled. The condo grounds were very well kept and beautiful. Being right above the beach was a real treat. We would rent this condo again. less

Aloha! This is our 4th time we stay at this property. It has an amazing ocean front view. Peaceful beautiful condo with all the ammenities, shopping nearby, and few steps from the best snorkle beach on the island. We will definitely stay over and over. Mahalo! less

— Doris, Stayed 07/29/2018

Great condo!

We arrived at the condo and were knocked off our feet by the full view of our first Hawaii sunset. All we could see outside the LR and BR windows was water and sky. Of course, we spent most of the time on the large lanai, but the whole condo was comfortably appointed, well- stocked with essentials, and the grounds were lovely. Unfortunately, the volcano was erupting during our stay and the vog in Kona was unusually bad. But Richard, the owner, was in contact with us before we went and called during our stay to see how we were doing and inquire about the air quality. We were disappointed by the gray skies, but are so glad we took the lava boat tour out of Hilo and got to see the coast line being added to with fresh lava flowing into the roiling seas. If we ever go back to Kona/Big Island we would definitely stay here again. less

Konas finest

A truly first class, upscale condo with gorgeous ocean view. Very comfortable with full amenities thought through. Pride of ownership and hospitality. Wish we had more time to spend here. Lovely fruit basket welcome. There is also a great fruit market in Kona most days. Need at least week our more. less

November in Kona

The first time we came to Hawaii was for our 10th anniversary in 2012. We rented this condo back then and fell in love with it. When we returned with our parents in 2014, we were unable to get this condo because it was already booked. We were fortunate to be able to rent the same unit for our 15th anniversary this year. Since the first time we visited, the condo has gained new owners and property managers. Our stay this time was much more enjoyable and we didnt have any issues - aside from a TV malfunction that was attended to immediately. We were impressed with the communication and efficiency from the new management. The condo itself is gorgeous. Right on the ocean. Close to beaches and shopping. Affordable. When coming to Hawaii, what more can you ask for? We will always choose this condo for our future stays, and have already recommended it to family and friends for their upcoming visits. less

Beautiful beachside condo

We had a wonderful time at the condo at Kona Surf and Racquet Club! It was such a beautiful location with an amazing view of the sparkling blue water and a big balcony to sit outside and watch the sunset. The condo was spacious, clean, stylish, and well-appointed. Instructions on how to get into the condo and where to park were exactly as written in the email. Having en suite laundry was great and super convenient so we didn't have to take home suitcases full of dirty laundry. We cooked several meals in the condo and it was a really nice home away from home. There was plenty of silverware, dishes, pots, and pans to get cooking. A shopping center is conveniently located close by. We went to a nice farmer's market there on the weekend and got us yummy shaved ice too. I really have only good things to say about this place. Our family would stay here again in a heartbeat the next time we come to the Big Island! It was simultaneously comfortable, restful, convenient, and tasteful in a way that a hotel or AirBnB wouldn't be able to match. less

Wonderful Stay

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your beautiful condo. We have stayed here for 3 1/2 weeks and this is our 8th visit to the Big Island. We have rented this condo for the 5th time now, so it is our favorite! ... and the Big Island too! We have seen dolphins and whales from the lanai. Recommend San Choy near by! Very good food and cheap. We have been to many places on this island this time, feel we know it inside out now. This time we drove down the Chain of Craters Road and went to see the lava flow late at night. FANTASTIC! MAHALO, Terje and Ann from Norway less
